good location and pleasant

the welcome was very disappointed. we arrived at 16.30 and have been told the room is not ready yet.. the check-in is 15.00 and they tell us it's from and can be later... we asked for the manager and a room was provided...

Expedia or the hotel got our reservation wrong with the wrong number of beds in the room. Very inconvenienced at 2am. :-(

Not recommended

Even though the staff were nice and welcoming, the condition of the hotel is really bad. The towels had stains on them. The bathroom had a really bad pee smell, the fridge also smelled of rotten food, the wall to wall carpet was full of stains and the bed mattress 2as really uncomfortable. The staff, who really wanted to help responded to our complains was that hotel is old so this kind of things are expected and all the rooms have the same issues so changing rooms will not help

Unfortunately the hotel has the potential but they do not know how to use.it. It was average; poor with cleanliness in rooms and pool. There was even sand inside the pool and they never cleaned it. The carpet inside the room was unclean from the firat moment we checked in. Breakfast was ok I hope they will ficus on cleaning more than anything else.

Eilat in the summer

The location is great, the room was very old, the air condition was noisy, the windows not seals up and very noisy from the street. The lobby and the pool was clean.

Good value for money

Pros: Location is good : adjacent to a mall , 10 min walk to beach , couple of restraunts and shopping center within 2 minutes walk. Rooms are comfortable and clean, toilet with bath (extra points for anti-slip coating). Friendly staff. Good price. Neutral: Had a room with on construction site, but I don't care. Were during a social distancing times , so all food was in boxes. Can't say if it good or bad considering situation. Fridge had broken parts, but worked, so can't complain. Cons: Furniture in room was quite old and weary. Pillows small and not comfortable.

Nice

The hotel location is great: 2 minutes walk from the Ice Mall, restaurants and shops. The classic room was OK , and the hotel was clean and fitted to the corona regulatioms. We came for 1 night and did not use the pool nor the other facilities. The parking is preety small but each time we needed a spot we got one after a few minutes wait. The only problem was that there was only 1 person to give all the services: receptianist, open the parking, give pool towels and more so each time we got there we had to wait.

Hotel’s receptionists are amazing. Best service I received. I asked them for help and they did everything and more to find a solution. I haven’t seen such a service, not even in higher rated hotels.

corona times - march 2020

Well I went to Eilat for business, yes during the corona and my family joined me , sicne they were in almost lock-down at home, they also needed a break. We ordered a suite (2+3) to accommodate us. needless to say we called a few hotels and they were all closed, but Vista were open. So instead of the suite they gave us two rooms with connecting doors, which was better and one room had a balcony. They were wonderful, let us check out late, since the occupancy was very low. Ofcourse due to corona, we couldn't use the facilities, but everything looked great. The pool looks fine, the location I great, free parking at the hotel. Front desk open 24/7. We really appreciate their business and hospitality and will definitely remember their generosity and go back in better and normal days. p.s. WIFI was fine!

Good hotel

We had a wonderful time staying on this hotel. Centrally located to everything, WiFi in the hotel & the city was acceptable. We experienced a Shabbat dinner, it was wonderful experience. Breakfast is very good. Would like to come back again if we have opportunity.

Position of the hotel is in a great area close to the marina, and right next door to the Ice Mall. The bar and lobby area is fantastic! Very clean & comfy.

Nice hotel clean family oriented. Excellent breakfast. We were only missing a parking, but otherwise all was great. I will recommend this hotel to friend who just want to relax.

Nice Hotel

This was a pleasant surprise. All was good although we did have a problem with the toilet. It was fixed very fast. I would give this a good rating.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The dining room staff was cordial and helpful. One of the women at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The other one was less so. Overall I liked the hotel. My major complaint is that there was not enough parking and the hotel advertised free parking.

Service to be improved

I booked a suite and the room pictures show clearly a balcony there. When I checked in, I asked about the balcony and the staff said there is no balcony in my room and the pictures are for demonstration only with a rude tone. I wen up and the room was super small with the window facing another construction site less than a hundred meter away. I went down to reception to complain and they gave me a slightly better room with a tiny balcony overlooking the Jordanian mountain. I was happy with it but on the second night I checked my booking again and found that a suite should be much bigger than where I was staying at, so I went down to reception again late at night, the staff at first did not understand that there is a "suite" in the hotel but he got it after I explained a few times. He suggested me write a letter to the general manager about the situation and I did. The next day the manager David showed up and apologized, maybe we were lost in translation (we spoke in English), I thought he offered a full refund of the booking and some chocolate as a gift. But until I checked out the chocolate never appeared and the refund was only the price difference between suite and standard room on a discounted basis. It is fair but only that it's a bit strange that the outcome does not match what was agreed before. I would advise you to stay alert of what you get from this hotel and make sure the communication is clear if you don't speak Hebrew.

Great value for money!

This hotel is a small one, but with amazing staff and service. The breakfast and dinner was perfect. The rooms are small, usually without balcony, but good enough for the price, comfort beds and clean. The swimming pool is small, but that's make it unique. The location is perfect too, close to the Ice mall ,and not far from the beach - around 10-15 min walk. I the bottom line, I will come back to this hotel :-)

It's a very nice small boutique hotel with a great staff. During a one day trip to Petra i was injured. the staff at the Vista were very helpful.

Nice hotel in a good location, excellent lobby area, great breakfast buffet, but rooms are basic and a bit outdated. Staff is perfect in every way and extremely accommodating to your every request. Overall, pleasant 3 day stay and I would stay there again.

Comfortable and clean hotel for a good price

the staff was very helpful, aiding me in making my stay pleasant and adapting the room and hotel to my needs as a business traveller. the hotel is far from the beach but close to the new "icemall" with a surprising range of restaurants for lunch or dinner, though breakfast served in the hotel is so good it is unlikely you will be eating lunch very soon after. workout room and pool are adequate for the business traveller, if by accident the businees traveller is at the hotel during the few hours they are open. all told, excellent value for the money.

Nice inexpensive hotel

Very clean, nice staff. Comfortable room, but on the smaller side. Great location. Moved to this hotel after leaving another. Significantly better and 1/3 the cost. Only downside was little parking, but seems to be a common issue with all hotels here.

Our Eilat vacation

The hotel was in a good location, not on the beach, but with in walking distance to everything. Reasonable rates for the location and rooms. The Room configuration was a little cramped and the beds a little hard, but just fine for people that spend more time outside the room than in.

Place was conveniently located next to the Ice Mall. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, which was great in the early spring, but would be unbearable in the summer. The room was a bit small, but the A/C worked well, and the place was very clean.

no child care off season

We were disappointed with the hotel and with the site. We booked this hotel since it said "child care" and we thought our 2 YO would enjoy it and we would enjoy our time (alone from her for a bit). The child care did not work and was not open. Same with the pool. It received 4 stars at the site, but this is no more than 3 stars hotel. The breakfast was great though.

mediocre hotel, overpriced

We were given the "biggest hotel room we have" which was much smaller than it appeared online and did not have the view advertised. The toilet scrub brush was dirty ( use your imagination, no further details need to be provided). In addition, we tried, prior to the deadline given on Expedia, to change this reservation and were absolutely not able to, incurred several hundred extra dollars in cost on our vacation.

Parking is a Big problem

Not a fancy place. Parking is an issue. Specially when its 110 degrees outside and you want to park close. Also elevator didnt work always.

The Vista is fine for a short stay but it is a bit 'tired.' It is well located and it is it is not expensive, but it won't wow you.

The hotel is located very close to the marina, near the "Ice Mall", which is a big shopping center with an ice park.The room we had was nice, with clean bathroom, and a very good air condition. The view was poor, but the other side of the hotel probably has much better views. The evening shows, which took place daily at the lobby were a little bit disturbing, if you prefer peace and quiet time. The breakfast was great, with nice variety and quality. The staff was ok until we had a bit out of the ordinary request from them (to print a single page). We were sent back and forth between 4 different hotel employees, all had computer and a printer right next to them, until someone was willing to help us.

we came to this hotel for one night only for the Israeli championship game in Basketball, therefore we were looking for and OK hotel... This hotel was below OK. the rooms are very small, a bit smelly and not that clean. this is an OK hotel just for 1 night, or if u are traveling on a budget, otherwise, i would recommend to choose another hotel

Decent hotel

We needed a hotel to stay for a few hours to sleep on our way to Petra next day. Upon checkin the front desk staff seemed to be a bit less-than-desired courteous. Rooms were ok, but TV was just unacceptable.... old non-HD TV, barely any channels. I forgot that we are already in 21st century!! Location is great because it is next to mall and few min away from border.

Deception

I stayed with my wife 2 nights... at the front desk we were met coldly by a receptionist whom we did not know her name..... in the room the blackout had several holes, the duvet cover was also with a hole. The only time I can say that we were well attended was in the breakfast Friday morning and the service was made by a man....and on Saturday the service made by a woman was nothing satisfactory.

The room needed updating, but the staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.

Our stay was very nice. the breakfast was great and the staff was wonderful! we were very pleased. It was very well located.

Carefull where your room is

nicely furnished hotel, own balcony, and huge breakfast buffet with changing offers, pool area is clean and you get towels for free :) Unfortunately wifi is quite instabile in the rooms-- and if you are placed close to the lobby, you hear noise all night... :( still a place to go .. Marina, Shopping Center and City Amusement all in walking distance

Mediocre at best

The handle of the door to the balcony was broken. Without the AC on, the room was too hot, but no matter what setting you put it on, the room became way too cold. There weren’t separate soaps and shampoos, just a dispenser on the wall near the sink and another in the shower. When I asked if it was soap & shampoo in one, the front desk said, "kind of", but her tone said "not really". The breakfast ended at 9:30am, which I thought was early for people on vacation. The cleaning staff also came very early, entering the room, turning on the lights, and waking me up several times. One day, I told them I'm still sleeping, and they put a sign on my door to leave me alone, which I didn't notice until I returned that night and the room was still messy. They also didn't replace my towels once ever. Eventually, I took a handful down to the front desk and asked for fresh ones. The woman gave me attitude and asked why I brought them to her. She told me she would call someone to bring some to my room and I asked if they could hurry as I was in a rush to shower and go somewhere, but it still took a good 20 minutes. There was no WiFi in the rooms, just the lobby. Finally, the TV's picture sucked, the remote stopped working, and they took at least a full day to bring me a new one. They had a bigger TV by the bar in the lobby, but when I asked if I could watch the World Cup there, they wouldn't even turn it on.

The service was great, very polite. Room was clean. It wasn't ultra high line, but then again neither was the price. It's a 5 and 10 minute walk to two amazing restaurants.

Stay far away from this awful place!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE SHACK!!! They charge more than advertised on travel websites!!! Awful customer service, horrible experience. For starters, the room and hotel smelled like sewage. The room was very small, the sheets were stained, there was no shampoos or soaps in the bathroom, there was a general soap dispenser in the bathroom but it was empty. The blow dryer stopped working after 30 seconds of use. The fridge stopped working on our second night there after we put food in it, it was all bad in the morning. Although it stated there is free parking, the lot only fits about 8 cars and was full so we were told we would have to pay to park on the street. Although I paid for street parking, I did not understand the street signs and ended up getting a 100 shekel parking ticket on my rental car. All in all we paid $500 for two nights in a TINY room not fit for three people with horrible customer service, foul smell and broken amenities. For that price we could have stayed at a nice HOTEL, not what seemed like a 1 star motel. Another “joy” we experienced was a folk dancing class in the lobby at 9:30pm with extremely loud and disturbing Russian music for about an hour. Would never ever stay here. Stick to the nice hotels and stay away from these people who don’t know how to treat guests.

friendly and helpful staff. noisy from 8pm to 11pm due to lobby inhouse activity. good food. reasonable rates to tour and visit major attractions. close to airport and ice skating mall. i got sick that required cooking of some special food/concoction at 5am. the kitchen staff was extremely helpful.

Very good non-expensive hotel

The Vista was a very good hotel. Very modern inside the public ares of the hotel. The rooms were smart, comfortable, modern and had lots of light from the big window that was the entire outer wall. Our room view was of the marina, with a small bit of construction in the foreground. We were 5 mins walk to the beach - which was about the same as the Isrotel and Crowne Plaza. The hotel is 30 seconds walk from the really awesome Ice Mall !. Food was very good - and comparable to larger hotels such as the Isrotel etc. The pool was also good, with a lifeguard and these real cute wicker 2-person sun-loungers. Every so often a large waterfall was switched on. The only caveat - at the end of May the hotel was still on its Winter Schedule which meant the pool area was closed and locked at 5pm, while it was still bright sunshine outside. The only outdoor we could relax in at the hotel was the area designated for smoking. We complained and they eventually let us jump the gate to lie on the sun loungers by the pool away from the smokers. 90% of the staff were really nice and attended to us straight away with a smile. Any problems they also dealt with very quickly (sending people to our room in under 1 min). For its price - we thought this hotel was very good.

Very nice hotel near the northern Eilat Beach

I had a very good experience at this comfortable, but not huge hotel. It is not close to the dolphin reef or the observatory in the southern side, but otherwise it is near the airport and other places.

Nice place, good price, terrible beds.

Looking to do some diving in Eilat over a weekend, I booked into the Vista Hotel because it was very reasonably priced. At less than USD300$ (incl breakfast), it seemed to provide the basic necessities I was looking for, bed, bathroom, food. The lobby area is quite nice, with it's bar, small restaurant and lounges (in/outdoor). There is a nice small pool outside that was surprisingly refreshing, considering the fact it was above 40c outside. Wifi, only available in the lobby, was easy to access and provided decent bandwidth. The room I stayed is was standard fare for Israel, relatively small, with a small bathroom. Because I was really only there to sleep, I really didn't spend to much time inspecting it's cleanliness. Although advertised as a queen size, the bed consisted of 2 singles made up as singles and stuck side by side. One bed was higher than the other, and both were equally uncomfortable. I've slept in some terrible spots in my life, but these beds take the cake.

Vista hotel in Eilat

Cups and a kettle were provided in the room, but tea or instant coffee had to be bought in the lobby for it. In my opinion, this is really stingy. Also, only a soap dispenser was available in the bathroom, no lotions or shampoo. Breakfast was just ok, compared to other hotels I stayed at in Israel, even though their room rates were similar.

"Decent option for one night before touring Petra"

I stayed at the Vista for one night, arriving late and leaving early in connection with a trip to Petra. For that limited purpose, and considering the relatively low (for Eilat) room price which included breakfast, it was an adequate, no-frills option. Rooms/bathrooms are spartan, WiFi is in the lobby only, and the hotel can be noisy (there was a loud party with amplified music and singing in the lobby area that I could hear in my 1st floor room until it ended around 11pm), and thin walls/doors mean you can also here people running around in the halls, slamming doors etc. But the a/c worked well, the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast spread was pretty extensive.

The day front desk staff was not that pleasant. Had flood in the bathroom after showers and on the day I was leaving they replaced the shower head. When I first complained it seemed that it was my fault it happened. The other front desk staff at night was very pleasant. The concierge was also very good, Location was perfect and the pool was small but it worked.

Just OK

The hotel was easy walking distance from the beach. The front desk woman was not pleasant or friendly. Whenever we had a problem she made is sound like it was our fault (e.g. there was a leak, the key did not work, the correct towels were not left) The breakfasts were very, very good.

Simple, well priced, good food

This hotel has 3 stars. What does it mean? Staff was courteous, room was clean and comfortable, but not huge. There's a closet+dresser, bed/s, and a safe. The breakfast is considerably better than expected, and the price is well worth the stay. Location is a 7 minute leisurely walk to the beach, and cabs are abundant.

Hotel Vista in Eilat

Apparently sold as a "4 star" hotel on some websites, but overall standard closer to 3-star hotel. Strengths -- Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. One of the best value-for-money buffet dinners in the area. Restaurant staff were very accommodating for needs of individual guests. Weaknesses -- Bathroom was not the cleanest possible. No internet access from room -- Have to go to lobby for free wifi. Surrounding area is safe but rather tacky. Close to Eilat airport, but not really walk-able because it's on the other side of the runway. Adequate for overnight stay en route to Jordan.

Hotel Vista Eilat

Good location.Very charming decor and nice rooms. Good breakfast. Not too near the beach. 5 mins away by car. Pity the nice coffee shop/bar in the lobby is not manned all the time so if you want coffee or a drink you have to go get the guy and that spoils the atmosphere but one can always go out. The pool is small but okay. Note it closes at 6pm - with a padlock - so you cant even sit around in the evening by the pool with a beer - so go out. Unfortunately very uncooperative reception ,who made a point of being unhelpful, unpleasant and rude with no understanding of service. No finesse of traditonal hoteliering here. Top marks however to the public relations manageress. She made our stay pleasant and deftly handled problems that arose. A true professional. By the way Contrary to what the hotels.com website shows, there is no playgound for children. It's just a small game room. Never the less quite good value for the price.

A positive surprise

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, who seeks a budget place to stay, while on a short vacation. A really good value for money. Now some points that caught my attention: 1) Plus: Although the official check-in is from 15:00, our room was ready upon arrival, at noon. 2) Plus: The rooms remind 3-stars hotels in Europe. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Minus: Though the coffee/tee can be made in rooms, the ingredients must be purchased at the reception. 3) Plus: The hotel is located in a quiet place (as for now), there's almost no traffic to disturb. Plenty of free parking. Minus: Not exactly on-the-beach location. 4) Plus: Great variety of food at breakfast. Minus: Despite that, no meat products were served (perhaps Kosher stuff...) The dinner is served until 9:30 so at 9:00 people were challenged to find a place inside. My high scores for the hotel are of course relative to its cost...

Bad experience

The only positive thing about this hotel was the location, which is not too far from the beaches. The room was bad for the price paid. Even coffee powder had to be purchased from the lobby. There was a swimming pool and even though it was warm, they didn't bother to fill it up. Staff was not helpful. I asked about buses and all they could tell me was to catch a taxi! They didn't know anything about anything.

Quiet and convenient

This was a perfectlly adequate hotel for my one night stay in Eilat. It is a no-frills accomodation but it was quiet and comfortable. My room could have benefitted from some minor repairs (e.g., a screw on a light above the bed was missing but it still worked, the door to the room would stick), but the staff were helpful and courteous and the location is good. It is very close to the airport and a very short walk to the waterfront area of Eilat so it worked out very well for me. It was also the last pick up point for my tour to Petra so I had a few minutes to eat the hot breakfast before heading out.

Ik vond de ontvangst zeer goed Monika die achter de bali stond was geweldig.ook heeft ze me goed geholpen met andere dingen zij verdiend zeker een 10. Ook de manager Avi wil ik bedanken voor de geweldige sevice, en de vriendelijke sfeer waarin alles gebeurde.petje af voor dit hotel en de mensen.

Very very warm women Elena and Monika work at The reception. They are likę The diamonds. You feel likę a family member. Very tasty food, cosy lobby. The only thing that could be better iš cleaness in The room. Good location as well.

God frokost ,stort rom,bra beliggenhet ,stort sett stille og rolig overnatting sted.

Excellent service. Staff was very friendly and breakfast buffet was delicious; it had a big variety of dishes. Would recommend this hotel ☺️

לא הייתי חוזרת למלון זה עם כל הכבוד!!!

מלון במיקום טוב. היו תקלות חשמל בחדר. בעיה עם הערוצים הרוסיים בטלוויזיה. האוכל היה לא לטעמי. הדברים הטובים היו ניקיון של החדר והחלפת המגבות ונמצאים.

נופש

מלון בסדר גמור, אוכל טוב ומספק, חדרים קצת צפופים במיוחד אם מכניסים מיטה נוספת , מתאימים לזוג. שירות טוב, צוות היה מוכן לענות על שאלות ובקשות.

Vista - Nie wieder!

Umgebung: Aussicht aus dem Fenster war auf eine Baustelle; Zustand: Klopapierhalter defekt, Handtuchhalter und Seifenspender stark beschädigt (schwer nutzbar), Die Dusche/Badewanne war am ersten Tag komplett verstopft und lief beim Duschen voll mit Wasser; Kühlschrank verlor nach dem einschalten sehr viel Wasser; Komfort: Wlan funktionierte sehr schlecht; Sauberkeit: der Boden wurde nur oberflächlich gereinigt und war aufgrund des Teppichbodens sehr verstaubt; Service: die Handtücher wurden nicht automatisch gewechselt. Nachdem ich sie selbst auf dem Boden warf, damit sie gewechselt werden, wurden sie zwar mitgenommen, aber nicht mit neuen Handtüchern ersetzt. Ich musste zur Rezeption gehen, damit ich neue Handtücher bekam. Das ist insgesamt 3 Mal passiert, das ich zur Rezeption gehen musste, um neue Handtücher zu bekommen. Positiv empfand ich nur das Personal an der Rezeption, welches zuvorkommend und freundlich reagierte, wenn ich ein Anliegen hatte.

הזמנו וקיבלנו 2 חדרים סמוכים. המלון אומנם ישן אבל נקי. בריכה נחמדה. הצוות שירותי, מאוד משתדל וחביב. מחיר זול משמעותית ממלונות אחרים. מיקום טוב ליד האייס מול. קרוב לאתר בנייה אז קצת רועש בבוקר.
