Nice motel

Motel was clean in a nice location. It looks like its been renovated. The only thing that l did not like was its saggy bed mattress that triggered my chronic back pain

Lovely manager. She even gave us a lift to the train station. And one morning the kitty was sitting outside our door.

An excellent place to stay in Picton!

Great motel, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and within walking distance from many attractions in Picton.

Quiet a lot of traffic noise but balanced by convenient location to interisland ferry

Lovely manager and a great overnight stop

Very friendly check in when we arrived. Room had a balcony overlooking the mountains as requested, although this did overlook a main road, but this did not cause too much of a problem after dark. Bathroom had a great shower and everything was clean. The room was spacious. Bed was a super king and comfortable. The property was a short walk to shops, restaurants and the seafront. The manager was lovely and offered us and our luggage a lift to the ferry terminal.

Lovely, spacious, comfortable apartment. Location is great, right next to everything and yet away from the noise. Staff are so friendly and polite - their attitude and service can give 5 star hotels a run for their money! Highly recommended!!

Comfortable room

The host Charlie went out of her way to help us with much needed early checkin, late checkout and a shuttle service. Room was comfortable and spacious too.

standard of accommodation in terms of decoration, cleanliness and facilities are the reasons why I return when in Picton.

The manager was very friendly, room was clean. Train was loud at night.

Close to town, nice big room. Across the street from the grocery store. A great place to rest and recover after adventuring in the Sounds. Would definitely stay again.

Welcomed and easy check in. Able to use lock up garage to park my motorbike. Spacious well-appointed rooms, overall, a very pleasant stay.

5min drive to the ferry terminal. Walkable to local restaurants and stores. Quick in and out overnight stay for early ferry.

We had a ground floor unit just for the night but would definitely stay again. The staff are so welcoming. The unit was clean and comfortable and spacious. It had everything we needed. A good sized shower with good presure.

Great option for late check in Xmas day.

Broadway Motel - disappointed

We booked a 2 bedroom apt on Christmas Day, did self check-in. The king mattress was too soft, same for the sofa in the living room. The toilet bowl was not cleaned properly, smelt of urine. The stains can be seen in the spa. Not worth the fee that I paid for it. Disappointed.

The check in was a breeze and the lady was so helpful en friendly!

Our room was presented in excellent condition and serviced every day, walkable to all eateries and harbour waterfront

We had reserved a room at the hotel before we left for our vacation. Upon arrival we were given a room on the second floor of the motel. For convenience sake I asked for a room on the ground level, and I was granted my request. What I did not know(but maybe should have been more aware) our new room was quite a bit more. I only wish that the Reception would have made me aware of that at check in. Other than that the new room was spacious and had a little balcony for us to dine outside. We had 2 bedrooms, living room, and private bath. The hotel was also in close proximity to the Ferry terminal for our trip to the North Island for the next day.

Perfect for us, fantastic spa bath, took a while to get tv working in bedroom but that’s only tiny issue we had (possibly our age lol)

Clean and spacious

Stayed after a late Ferry. Rooms warm and ready even thought we arrived late at night. Very easy to find room even after hours.

Stopover from Kiakoura to take the ferry to Wellington. Room was clean and spacious and centrally located to downtown area.

It was a nice stay

Comfortable and well appointed rooms. Close to walk to restaurants, water and bars. We were disappointed in the parking…many watercraft were in the lot the night we stayed there, which made parking difficult for cars.

Very clean and everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Great 2 day stay in Marlborough at the Broadway. Large room with kitchenette and seating area. Whirlpool tub. Great views.

We always stay here whenever we are in Picton. Close to everything. Highly recommend

Wonderful staff who made check-in very easy. Great location…easy to walk to from the pier. Only issue with the room is that it wasn’t as clean as I expected it to be. There were hairs from previous guests in the bathroom. Also neither bedside lamps were operable.

The staff was extremely friendly. The one bedroom "family room" was spacious and comfortable for our family of three adults. Everything was in working order. We appreciated the clean convenient laundry facilities.

This property was an easy walk from the ferry with our luggage (about 1km). It is close to shops. The rooms were well maintained & clean with a good sized bathroom. The property advertises you need to check-in before 8.30pm otherwise you will be charged to your credit card & have to pay surcharges. We arrived at 7.55pm & the office was already closed & the surcharges charged which was disappointing. But otherwise a great experience.

Close to the ferry, so very convenient for travel. Next to rail tracks-a bit loud. Very nice manager on duty and very helpful. Clean room with nice kitchenette and balcony.

Excellent place to stay

Expedia did not send the correct check-In and Check-out dates to the hotel. It was late in the evening and there were no vacancy and had to stay in another hotel. Bad experience. Expedia still not responded or resolved compensation. I will be cautious booking through Expedia next time. I would prefer booking directly with the hotel. There is no profanity in this review, there are no personal information as well. I am sharing our bad experience with Expedia. Please stop rejecting bad reviews..

Friendly staff and well located.

The location meant that we were able to walk to and from station and wharfs. Handy to a supermarket, and a good range of shops. With 4 guests in the suite we had to juggle crockery etc on the tiny bench top. Also, with all four needing device-chargers, we did notice a shortage of power points.

Took a while to get too from the ferry as our pre booked shuttle forgot us . Once there all good , generous size room great little stovetop and the biggest shower in NZ . Manager was most apologetic about our hold up and saw us to our bottom floor room as requested . Easy 5 min walk to main shops and food outlets

Lovely modern warm clean room. David was very informative and friendly.

Thought Expedia already settled payment. Was told to use another card and was made to pay a surcharge for not paying in cash. What happens to “travel in convenience without cash”

Good convenient motel in the town if your getting on or off the ferry, very comfortable. Good linen, And comfortable bed.

Of the many Motels we stayed in during the past 10 day road trip through NZ, Broadway Motel in Picton was by far the best. Highly recommended.

What I liked about the location of the property was that it was walking distance to the shops and waterfront view.

Very clean. Spacious room and bathroom. Inclusions very good.Table was very small for 2 people to use. Convenient location, good parking and grounds.

Fantastic stay here, the hosts were so friendly took us up to the room and showed us how it all works, town is in your back door step. Will be my first pick next time we are in Picton

Pretty bare bones place to stay when you need to catch the ferry in Picton. There is a supermarket across the road.

Beds are not comfortable at all

Only a single nights stay but very friendly welcome and very comfortable bed!

We booked last minute and we’re made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Easy and convenient. Staff were accommodating, allowing use of their barbecue and electric frypan etc for the duration of the stay.
