Georgeous beach hotel

Great views of the bay from our spacious one bedroom suite. Restaurant was very good also with sea views. Pool is a bit small with limited towels and loungers.

Beautiful resort, very clean, is looking a little tired, needs minor cosmetic paint maintenance. Otherwise the views, great housekeeping, great food and drinks downstairs make it phenomenal place.

any issue i had was minor n attended to so promptly! will def be back, amazing stay and would love to frequent. friendly and warm staff… maybe a small jungle gym would help with entertaining little children after a long day at the beach

The villa unit was very comfortable and had lovely sea views from the main room and balcony. The housekeeping was good, just need more attention to detail when replenishing tea sachets for the next morning. Reception was initially not overly welcoming, but thereafter a gent named Nkosi was excellent in helping us.

Incredible position, clean, well appointed with well trained staff. Overall an impressive establishment!

Our stay was wonderful. As a single mom, I felt security visibility would have been comforting. Maybe consider having securities at night during peak periods.

Amazing

Best guesthouse we stayed at during our trip to South Africa! Stunning property right on the beach, you can spot dolphin from your balcony early morning.. priceless! Deon & Leane have a true sense of hospitality and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for making our b'day celebrations so special and memorable!

Breakfast blues

Breakfast was a disappointment. The venue in which it was served was uncomfortsble. Choice of breakfast was very limited uo the point of no vhoice

Spacious room with breathtaking Ocean view. Very comfortable bed with great size. Water pressure is constantly changing and too low for a good shower. Staff seems to be allowed to use the Gym as well and doesn't do so properly.

Cant be faulted. Visited 1st morning to check all ok & happy with unit. Ants dealt with & no further issues. Highly recommended. This is our 2nd visit & hope to return.

Beautiful untouched location , 20 minutes drive from Knysna. Amazing clean beech were one can see dolphins each day swimming. Apartments very large and feel like living at home, restaurant and Deli provide everyyypu need of do not feel like cooking.

Watching dolphins

We booked this last minute as we had to cancel our other accommodation. The rooms are beautiful with balconies looking out over the beautiful sea. We had booked a superior suite but were upgraded to a larger one. We were able to lie in bed and watch the dolphins swim through the bay. The staff were extremely helpful and the on site restaurant offered fabulous food and views. You can also self cater here. Dispute there being many sized rooms, suites,cottages etc it never felt crazy busy and at times there was only us by the pool.

Beautiful property with a great restaurant and deli. The beach if perfect for long walks and there is a pub down the street. It's difficult to find using gps and is a twenty minute drive to Knysna.

Lovely beach front property. But 15 kms from Knysna

Prefer the suites more than the villa due to better view of the beach. Also liked the restaurant in-house so that don't have to travel far to the town for some food.

Outstanding service

It was amazing. They made our stay extra special but surprising my daughter with a cake on her birthday. The staff are amazing and make the stay even more special.

There is no air conditioning. View was great, rooms where neat and tidy

Best Hotel I Have Ever Stayed In

Absolutely fantastic. The rooms are all very very beautiful with a large kitchen, living area, outside patio overlooking the beach, braai, large bedroom with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, modern and clean bathroom with an amazing shower and a bath that makes you feel like royalty. Brenton hotel is perfect if you like your own space, prefer to cook your own meals or want to relax without the typical "hotel" feel. There is also a large gym and a magnificent pool overlooking the ocean. The location is also great, perfect to view the sunrise and take a walk on the beach as it is situated right next to the ocean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Knysna/ Brenton-on-the-sea.

Beautiful property and appartments! Loved the dining area with fireplaces. Made the whole experience all that more special.

Lovely stay!

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Brenton Haven. It’s a lovely resort with clean accommodation with all amenities. Beautiful ocean views from the lounge, dining and bedroom. Lounge furniture could do with a bit of an upgrade. Braai area overlooking the ocean was lovely. Bathroom is a bit cramped and the wifi signal not the best. But apart from that we had a memorable stay. A short walk to the beach. Lovely long beach, great for walks. Ate at the Butterfly Blu restaurant once and the food was amazing. It would be nice if breakfast was available too. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property. Porch with views of the sea. Staff was helpful. Do make sure you notify the property in advance if you'll be checking in late.

Lovely seaside resort. Disappointed that they only serve breakfast on Sunday.

Relaxing Beach resort

The suite was spacious and self-sufficient. Great view of the sea front. Loved sitting by the balcony enjoying the view. The restaurant is also decent, with a nice ambience and good food. Overall, a great place to relax.

Fabulous self catering suite

We all loved this amazing place to stay. As well as a well equipped, well laid out apartment, the views of the bay were fantastic. The beds were really comfortable and great bathrooms. The restaurant served fantastic fresh fish and some of the best steak we had in SA.

Amazing views

Amazing views. Well supped apartments, but of an issue with ants but assured they are treated every week to keep under control. Would recommend.

Great location

Wonderful location on a fabulous beach. Modern spacious suite with big balcony, and well furnished. Good restaurant and breakfast deli. Rooms do vary a lot with regards to views, so worth checking before booking.

Short family stay

Stayed with family, including 2 teenagers. Reasonably comfortable stay. Nice view from villa. Travelled in and around Knysna from here and that was convenient with own transport. Parking was convenient too. Unfortunately breakfast is not included and that was a put off.

Excellent hotel with beautiful beach.

Visited in November- beach practically empty. Saw dolphins from room and beach. Great for families with kids of any age. Can walk about 4-5k on beach. No WiFi in room so if you need WiFi In room, would not recommend. Hotel advertises WiFi but does NOT work. Very clean. 15 min drive to Knysna, minimal facilities in Brenton Haven so very quiet and peaceful.

Lovely hotel and chalets. Just make sure you stay long enough to absorb the surroundings and the comfort that the hotel offers.

Beautiful view and wonderful Rooms

Amazinf views from each room, everythkng was just perfect for a vacation. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. The only reason for me to give a 4 star on Room Comfort was no availabilty of internal phone service. We were a large group and we didn't have a hotel phone to call each other or the reception. We had to go to reception or call from our cell phones. Everything else was just perfect. Will definately go there again!

Brenton on sea

The family cottage was lovely, bathrooms a little small. No wifi in rooms just in public areas. Besides Blu restaurant and the little coffee shop there is no other place to buy supplies or food. You need to go into Knysna to stock up. The beach is soo beautiful. The ladies at the front desk are friendly and helpful.

A little out of the way but stunning location.

Loved the location, the accommodations and the friendly staff. Breakfast at the deli did not offer much but was adequate to get going. Villa / apartment was adequately stocked and clean.

Nice place but a bit far from city center.

Hotel is very new and beautiful. Rooms are nice and spacious. Check in lady (forgot her name) was very kind and helpful. About the location, it is a bit far away from city center and main attractions and restaurants. If you just want to relax and enjoy the beach, the place is awesome but if you plan to go see attractions and want to do some shopping, you need to consider this place adds an extra 15min drive. Worst part of stay was the wifi. Having to pay for wifi nowadays is not acceptable. They even gave me some 20min vouchers but it is horrible. Every 20min you have to login again. Really hard to understand the reason for this.

Great location close to the beach but..

The location is great although the sea view from the room was sadly interrupted by the corrugated roof of the restaurant.. The room itself was very spacious and clean but the extremely mean approach to wifi access - just 20 minutes free!? - is something that leaves a very sour taste for a property of this price level. For that reason alone I would not recommend it.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful quiet area of Knysn

We are a family of 5 with 3 small kids. They absolutely loved the place. The room was spacious and well equipped for us. The hotel is about 15min away from Knysna itself but for us it was perfect. The beach was literally on our doorstep and we had the most beautiful sunsets you could imagine! The beach is also so beautiful with soft sand and during our stay was not busy at all - the kids absolutely loved it!

First impressions were the amazing location on cliffs next to sea. Then the cleanliness of the hotel and the warm welcome at the reception. Staff were both friendly and full of good advice about the best areas to visit.

Would definitely go back!

We loved our 2 bedroom suite. It was a beautiful room with an ocean view. The staff was amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was great at both the deli and the restaurant. We enjoyed the beach and the gym! There was not much around the hotel, so would definitely want a car to get into town. But a perfect place to relax with beautiful views!

Great Spot On the Indian Ocean

We stayed here for two nights. The property characterizes the suite we stayed in as semi-self catering, meaning that there is no daily maid service, however, this does not detract from what was a beautiful two room condominium style suit with lovely living area, serviceable kitchen and large bedroom with large bath, including a big bathtub and separate shower. Sliding glass doors took you to two separate small outside patio areas, one a lookout and the other with table and chairs and built in grill. But what made this property was an amazing unobstructed view of the shoreline looking out over the Indian Ocean, with a foot path from the unit a short walk to the sandy beach. Good restaurant on premises. Enclosed designated parking spot. This is a delightful romantic getaway at a reasonable price. Near Knysna. Highly recommended.

So impressed with the unit. It was spacious, modern, upmarket with large decks overlooking fabulous views of the ocean and sunsets. Unit was well equipped.

It was absolutely beautiful! Very modern chalets and such a stunning beach in walking distance. The restaurant also serve the most delicious food!
