Nice and quiet for a solo traveler
Great place & close to everything.
Good
Great place to stay!
I was just there for one night. No problems with people lingering as others had mentioned previously. Rooms were clean. The other women were very quiet. My only issues, which were small: the bunk bed ladder was only 12inches wide making it difficult to climb up with a bad shoulder and the shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor.
I was told I can't stay because it's women only. I want refund
One of the guests I was sharing the room with was using illicit drugs in the room. There was a prostitute soliciting me outside the rooms as I left. Friendly check in staff though. Cleanest hostel I have been to.
This was fantastic for me because I am solo traveling around the world, so this the best comfort and cheap option. Everything was perfect.
Very convenient
First off the front desk girl will chat on the phone for 15 minutes while you wait(on a personal call) Happened 3 different times… There was no pool,no fridge,no common room as stated The WiFi did not work Luckily I did not need it There is no bar There is a nightclub that is open a few days a week underneath But on 2 of those days you cannot even go get breakfast As it’s a gay bar and they make you buy tickets to a brunch on those days Luckily dennys and ihop are within 15 minute walk Other thing is do not party all night and plan to sleep during the day As the cleaning ladies Kick you out regardless… It was ok for the price Room was overall clean And your with walking distance to Fremont street etc.
Clean, Walkable, Can't beat price
Cool spot, clean, the people are nice, great for solo travelers, in walking distances to the arts district, food places, and local bars. It does have a few homeless people walking around onbthe street, but hey its Vegas, thats all over.
ok
Good
Good hostel
No one give one girl a room between 5 boys🖕
Overall everything was good
Nice place
Nice stay
I know you get what you pay for but this was my worst experience in a hostel. The check-in process at the front desk was fine but that was the only positive. The room was a mess with stuff lying all around but the worst was the toilet that was clogged and not usable. I complained to the front desk and was told to use the plunger and fix it myself. We could not use the bathroom in the morning and asked for another room but was informed there are no rooms available. I left after 1 day even though I had paid for multiple days. Will not stay here again.
There was not support when trying to discuss the reservation while in the hotel.
Don’t stay here if you want to have a good night
Poorly maintained installations and the beds are very bad quality. The door handle of the room was broken.
The rooms are big and clean. Only the housekeepers every day they would come mad and yell to get out of the room so they can clean it. On my check out day I was late 15 minutes and packing and they gave me such a bad attitude told me: Get out of the room we are cleaning, and when we finish you need to be out. How has I supposed to pack then on the street. It was my mistake 15min late, but that’s just not the way you speak to the guest.
Very friendly
Solo trip
I went to Vegas to see a concert for two days and stayed here. It’s not bad if you’re on a budget but be aware the area is sketchy. It’s right next to one of those one day wedding places and a strip club. The pool was nice and the beds were comfy enough. I didn’t really talk to the other people there though
It was average stay. Nothing too fancy.
More attention could be paid to cleaning. The floors were not properly swept when cleaners came daily
Fun place. Clean. Great for the price and in a perfect location. Staff was very helpful
No frigobar, No TV. Fleas, vending machine out of service
The convenience and comfort of the property and the amenities made it enjoyable.
I had the best hotel experience!
Part of the hotel is a hostel beware of booking. Guy at the desk got snippy about it. The actual thunder bird room was totally fine. It’s next to Elvis wedding and art district cool area. Otherwise it’s about what you’d expect for the cheapest room I could find. For just coming in and sleeping totally fine. Pool looked decent. Old school more ran down part of town but it’s a decent spot to stay. The employee was nicer the next day
Like: Near downtown and the strip, easy for travel Dont like: scratchy area, unsafe sometimes
Get there early so you won’t have a to bunk
What is the wifi info pls?m in room 1217
Good staff
Good location, bad service
Good location right in the city, The service was bad because I paid for 2 nights and couldn't check in to both on the first night had to come back and check in again, next morning got a text saying I owed for the second night even though it was already paid for I had my receipts and they insisted it was never paid for even after showing proof and receipts I had to argue and eventually email there higher up it took all day to get it figured out for them to find it themselves and not even get a apology, very unprofessional service.
Easy
Located in a part of the Las Vegas Strip near many old derelict buildings. Lots of homeless people, addicts and open drug use. High crime area. Not a safe area at night. Rooms were very cramped. Three bunkbeds stuffed into a standard small hotel room. No room for belongings. Plastic tubs, which were zip-tied to the bed, were offered for storage instead of lockers. Front desk was frequently unstaffed.
Clean rooms, friendly staff
Very clean and comfortable! Much needed rest for my tired feet without spending alot! Met awesome friends in the room and we all hung out together ❤️
Went to check-in and was told it was fully booked a d I was In a female dormitory then waited 3 hours to get re located and pay extra for another hotel
The entrance was a little confusing. The rooms were nice and had all the needed conveniences. The shower and bathroom were clean and nice
This is a great hostel. However, I'm recovering from a broken wrist and I requested the bottom bunk upon check in. They still have me a top bunk with an empty bottom bunk. So that was weird. That put sort of a dent in my stay. Overall, it's a good property, but hard to find.
Good price but can get stuck with bad roommates
This was the 2nd year in a row I chose to stay here. The concept is good: you can pay less if you share a room with strangers and sleep in little bunkbeds. I didn't hate it. It did the job. But I had some bad roommates, and there was nothing I could do about it. One man talked way too much and way too loud, whether anyone wanted to listen or not. A woman (it was a mixed room) stayed up super late and kept crinkling food packaging. On the last night, some really loud partiers were outside at 2-3am, and a couple of them burst into our room yelling. Somehow, they got the code to enter. They were drunk and loud, showing no regard for all the other people trying to sleep. It was a little scary, actually. Seemed like they swapped rooms so certain people could be with their friends. During the night, you have to deal with loud snoring. The communal bathroom can get stinky, too, with no air freshener. In the mornings, someone inevitably wakes up early. So the number of hours of actual, peaceful sleep were very low. Painfully low. I considered sleeping in my car. Also, if you show up late, there is essentially no service. They advise you to try to catch the security guard to help with any issues. It's in a run-down section of central Las Vegas, so be careful walking around. I loved saving money, but next time I'll pay for a room to myself, anywhere I can afford.
The staff are always courteous when have stayed here, I prefer the female only room if you can score it, its not real close to any dining and the area is a little bit shady. However the DEUX runs frequently to bring you up & down the Strip.
It was a club next to the hotel and evernight until late was noisy . Also the hotel is in downtown Vegas . The old Las Vegas there were drug people in the street not much but if you want to walk I don’t recommended. As for the room was very clean and the service excellent. If you need to stay for few days and u don’t want to spend your money it is ok. I ordered Lyft waiting for me in the main entrance of the hotel. You got to be careful especially for women
Low price, bad location.
People are allowed to fight/yell in parking lot all night. Security allowed 3 females to enter room after they where asked to stop yelling.
Good place for a short stay. Area around hostel is ok during the day, but would walk in numbers at night. Overall staff was friendly and room was clean. Appreciate they provide a towel, toiletries and water.
I liked that you provided earplugs, soap bar and new towels every day. But what I didn’t like was that there was no privacy. I didn’t felt comfortable with the window don’t having any curtains.
The roommate snoring the whole night and so loud, totally not able to sleep. Except that noise guy, all the rest five of us can not sleep. If they can not solve this problem, make no sense to stay there. I have to wale up at 2am to drive away from there. Also the front desk give wrong number for my bed and super confusing.
It was a nice place to stay. I also met awesome roommates.
Didnt like sleeping with other people in the room
They gave me the wrong room and refuse to give me a refund
I felt secure about my goods. My roommates did snore very loudly (room of 6) but there were ear plugs.
Shared dorm is not too bad.
It was an ok place. The staff made sure my needs were met, there were no issues. However, finding the check in area can be confusing. I think better signage would help. If youre sharing a room, as i did, be prepared for some inconveniences. I shared with 5 others, and one individual was a problem, keeping people up at night. Im not sure how to deal with this problem, but if im spending money to stay, there should be a minimum expectation that i dont have to deal with these kind of issues.
I like the hotel room set up, with coffee maker. Roomy, comfortable matress, provide towel with a big bucket. I can put everything inside and lock. I don't find anything i don't like. I recommend this hotel to anyone.....
Friendliness
Extremely disappointed
When I arrived they did not have my reservation so I had to get a last minute reservation elsewhere for outrageous cost. Then the following day I was charged for my stay that did not occur! How does this happen?
Cheating the people
Affordable price, clean, central, nice people, pool, comfortable beds
Good option for solo travel on a budget
I just needed a roof over my head for a couple of nights in LV, and this worked out well. It was definitely a little weird sharing a room with a few other guests (all male in the mixed room I booked). But they were all nice, and we all respected each other's privacy, space, and sleep. People take turns using the restroom & shower. People tried to be quiet after hours and early in the morning. The bed is small, but it was comfortable, as were the pillows and comforter. There were ample outlets for everyone to charge their devices. I had to install the Goki app to enter the room using my phone, which was a little bit of a learning curve. But apparently, there is a manual workaround by typing in a code at the door. The parking lot was very full on a Thursday and Friday night. But I found a spot both times. I would not recommend the surrounding area for exploring after dark. But it is a short drive or bus ride/shared ride to all the major sights of Las Vegas.
Ok but this is a not a hostel!
Okay, this “hostel” is pretty weird. I took an uber to go there, getting there it is difficult to know where it is, because there is nothing, no identification, and you are afraid of not knowing if you are in the right place, well, look for the “Thunderbird” hotel because that is the place. The receptionist was a little impatient, the hotel has that roadside motel style and in the room they put bunk beds to turn it into a hostel. The room has no key, you have to use an app on your cell phone. I stayed only one night and it was ok, ok shower and ok bed, but I didn't like that they "lie" about the name of the hotel and treat a motel as if it were a hostel
My first hostel! I was nervous because it was a mixed dorm, that was all that was left but you literally only seen the others at bed time. I’d stay again, just make sure if you want a bottom bunk you request it!
Good for weeknights stay
Overall it was good stay compare to other hostels around the area. Weeknight was pretty chill, not a lot of noise (few do penetrate the walls). Ear foams were available in the room. Check in staff were helpful but I don’t like that I have to download an app to get the key code to my room. There were less homeless probably bcoz of winter. I was there summer, there were a lot. My 6 bed room was clean. Shower was clean. I was provided with soap, towel, and bottled water. Odd set up with the curtain, it can only block part of the window and it’s like a foot away from the window, which makes my top bunk bed farther from the wall. If you have items on you bed, it will fall off because not much surface to place your small items. It’s a size (length/width) of their bottled water laying flat. Enough for a cellphone. It was great that they gave me a room with actual travelers, and not with a long time resident(s).
No television in room as indicated on site.
The staff gave me no other opinion than what I had booked. I had valuable items with me. The storage was inadequate. They would not upgrade me. They did not even try. I booked another room some place else. I will never be back.
I tried to cancel and did not get any response to repeated phone calls and a text message I sent to the hotel.
Great
My stay is okay No kitchen I’ll Tak food n night early mRNg my food is cold no point to eat I am facing ths prb Reception lady name natasha She’s speaks Vry well She’s suggest me. Vry softly. She’s Vry soft spoken Vry kind Thnx Aloha
They did not have any rooms available yet they were still offering them online. Seems like they're just looking to scam people - unethical and unfriendly
Rude Staff mean housekeeping advertised tv inside room was not provided complains overlooked hairdryer was broken I am a heterosexual woman I was required to bunk with women only after specificly asking for sons too requirements was gay odors staff was argumententive and rude the experience was terrible and horrible I complained and was promised to get help help never happened what a waste of time and money sadly expression
AC uncomfortably cold
The AC was set to freezer temp and we could not adjust it. I mean I know it’s Vegas and 6 people in a room, but still I had to put the blanket on face and still woke up to a sore throat.
Works when needed
Able to check in after midnight was exactly what i needed.
Although the area around the place is a bit sketchy. You wont find a better deal in Vegas for the price. Property was nice. Rooms and staff where great and even a well maintained pool. Security was good as well. Will stay again!

They cancelled my reservation and told me to claim my money from Expedia, because Expedia made a mistake.
