The balcony and view was beautiful. High ceilings. Modern renos. Everything we needed. Customer service was impeccable. Cute little breakfast every morning.
It’s an old hotel. The quilt to sleep smelled. We are pretty sure that room service stole 2 rings that we bought as souvenirs to take back home. We got back home and the envelope the rings were in was just left empty. The next morning in check out we were charged an additional $30. Never again.
Three days. Clean small room however it’s just a room. No services at all so if all you want is an inexpensive room this is fine. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Spanish Steps so it’s not too far from sight seeing and shopping. Our AC was a little noisy so that was annoying but otherwise it fit our needs. Don’t count on having breakfast there. It’s basically just coffee and a few rolls. Much better options elsewhere.
I appreciated the front desk staff. They were great! The hotel itself was not exactly up to pare. The towels were stained, there were stained on the pillows and the bathroom wasn't the best. There was a draining of water in the middle of the night, to which we thought our room was flooding but it was just a leak in the bathroom. The checkout process was ahead of time because of the availability of staff but they weren't flexible with us.
Very over priced.
There's a small food store next to it. That's great.
Great Location! Easy access to transport. Very close to main train. Great dining near
Poorly functioning AC
Fine, small room, and staff was lovely. The main issue: the room was advertised as having AC, but the little AC unit was really struggling, and couldn't keep up with the Rome summer heat. The staff checked the unit for us and assured us it was operating at max capacity, and explained that there was nothing else they could do. (From their point of view, the unit wasn't malfunctioning.) It was ~95-100 degrees outside and probably ~85 degrees in our room for the duration of our stay. It was horribly uncomfortable and hard to sleep; if we were staying longer than two nights, we would have switched hotels. I would avoid staying here again during the summer.
Lovely little hotel, highly recommended
The hotel took a little finding but a call to the friendly reception sorted that out. We found everyone very friendly, quick checkin and the room was a good size, clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but filling and, again, the staff helpful and friendly. Very good value for money not far from the Metro station and access to the sights. When next in Rome, we’d definitely stay here again.
Rome
Not as clean as expected in the room Hairdryer Heated up Quickly even though on low setting it stated to melt and smoke The area going up to the hotel smelt of damp and was shabby The bell to open the big heavy doors was located on the wrong side so not easy to see Staff were pleasant and breakfast was nice Location was Good
Good location and nice room, but troubles parking
Everything was very good, host communication was very good, room clean and nice. only problem we had is finding a car parking space, so if you driving then would recommend to contact the host and arrange paid car parking round the corner. Span steps is just 15 min walk and Colliseum 30min. In overall I would recommend this property for location and room condition.
The hotel is on the 4/5 floors of a condo building. The hotel itself was quaint with character and charm.
Great location
Location was great! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was modern and clean, however, the bed was a little hard.
Great little hotel!
Alessandro at the front desk was great, friendly and courteous. We loved our stay and it was close enough to walk to all the attractions within 25 mins. Nice part of town but away from the masses of people. Great little hotel!
Location is great / next to a police station and a grocery store Staff not too friendly except one gentleman a/c broke in my room and was not fixed - had to request a room change - which took two days
I like fact it doesn’t look like a hotel and it’s not a big hotel so it’s never to busy and the staff are all friendly
Room was clean and spacious, bathroom clean and with a HUGE shower. Breakfast was more than expected and always fresh. The location was easy walk to most sites and/or tram station. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
We had a lovely stay at Boutique Hotel, the location was excellent in a very quiet area of the City, the bedroom was very spacious and a lovely bathroom, breakfast was good, they had lovely warm croissants and rolls, cheese and ham, and cereal, Alessandro and his staff were all excellent, would definitely stay here again if in Rome. There is also a supermarket right next door.
Highly recommended
Amazing hotel and the staff are friendly Also good breakfast and good location
Nice hotel in a central location. A bit hard to find as there are no signs on the building. Elevator is super small fitting 1 person with a luggage.
Such a cute wee place. The staff were amazing g and all so helpful. A super location for getting about easily with lots of restaurants and bars close by for those lazy evenings. The breakfasts were simple but fine and one thing I did miss was a communal area to kick back and relax in after a busy day of walking about. Saying that, most of the time I just wanted to pass out anyway as we were always on the go! A lovely stay and I would recommend to others who want something central and friendly.
Cleaned the rooms well. However the bathroom is old and mouldy. Needs a refresh
A very small property but very clean, very central & very nice staff.
The location is very nice and quiet. The staff was kind and gave good advice and service. They deliver coffee to the room and have wonderful, freshly made cappuccino, expresso, Americano that is some of the best I’ve had. I enjoyed the breakfast which was simple but with good variety. Allesandro recommended restaurants that were the best, authentic and friendly, with true Roman dishes and called to get reservations and check on other things for us. He did a wonderful job, but all the staff did. The bed was a little hard and a throw pillow and coverlet a little stained in spots, but the facilities otherwise were very nice. It is in an apartment building, but I hardly noticed and that allowed for my entire group of eight people to have accommodations on the same floor. Overall it was a wonderful experience and i would stay again for the quality and price.
Great location beside American embassy, near metro, Spanish steps, restaurants, shops, super market 2 doors up very handy. Alexander was extremely helpful and made our stay great. Breakfast was good great coffee. A brilliant stay in Rome
Very smart, extremely comfy bed & great location within walking distance of all the main sites
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic for walking around and sight seeing! I would stay here again.
Small and Quaint inn/B&B. No Hassle stay
Nice easy stay. The location is approx. 20 mins away from the Rome Termini Railway station. It is an uphill walk so make sure your luggage is light and mobile as the pavement is not smooth and lots of kerbs to go over. The hotel is diagonally opposite the American Embassy entrance that has armed guards so it is a pretty safe location. The building is covered is scaffolding and netting so there is no sign on the outside and can be easily missed. The main entrance does not have a ground level sign, except a door bell with a name on it. Once inside you have to go to the 5th Floor in a small elevator. Breakfast is continental. I would call this a posh B&B as its small and quaint. Its formally classified as an Inn/B&B. There is not much in the area except other hotels but if you walk towards piazza Barberini or the station, then there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. We did get bitten by a few resident mosquitoes. You cant see much out of the window because of scaffolding and netting. All the staff were polite and helpful. Room was a little dated but was more than adequate for a 3 night stay. During the day we were sightseeing, and just wanted a safe clean place to sleep. Also, there is a small Coop supermarket next to the hotel that is useful for getting fruit, snacks and drinks when you go sightseeing.
Reception staff were excellent and very helpful both times we spoke to them. Room was good, although bed was slightly uncomfortable, shower was excellent and plenty of storage available for clothes. Breakfast was continental therefore not as much choice as would have liked and i did get served gone off milk for my cereal on 1st day. Main negative of the stay was that the 3 nearest metro stations were all closed so we were unable to access the metro from the hotel and had to rely on either walking or taxi's to travel around but this was of course, no fault of the hotel. If i had known about the closed metro stations before booking i would have chosen a different area of Rome to stay in as this was how we intended to travel around.
The complimentary breakfast was nice and they have a barista to make you espresso drinks of your choice. Be warned that the hotel is located on the 5th floor of a mixed use historical building. For this reason, the hotel is not allowed to put any signage up on the facade directing guests. The only indication is the little label next to one of the many doorbells out front. Once we finally found the place, we were happy with our newly updated room and the service.
Unusual set up as this hotel was on the 4th and 5th floor of an old traditional office block, so no bar or communal space apart from a small breakfast room. However don't let this put you off - we had a very comfortable quiet room (4th floor Room 28 overlooking interior 'courtyard' so no view but super quiet and one of the cheaper options) with a big bed, ensuite, safe, mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities. Plenty of places to eat and drink within 5 mins walk and less than 10 mins to the Trevi fountain. Villa Borghese Park less than 5 mins away. Staff went above and beyond to help in any way they could and offered some very helpful suggestions regarding routes and transport options. Would definitely return 😊
Great Location to the attractions and just out the way enough to not be too noisy.
Liked the room it was clean and modern, the lift was always available and very reliable. Having read another review I was aware it there was no sign, Luckily the taxi dropped us at the door. The Hotel was on two floors of a large building, we were given a key for exterior door as well as a room key. The reception was maned 24hours and staff were always helpful.
Great location, friendly staff, nice room. Perfect for a short break in Rome
we stayed at this hotel for whole week. great location walking distance to the spanish steps and fountain trevi and other plazas around and the metro. also there the American Embassy and a police station across the street , super save location. the staff was beyond friendly and helpful . Alessandro , Roberto and the other guys were great. thank you very much, I highly recommend this hotel and will use them again if i go back to Rome.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean, quiet
It was in a good location. Walking distance to the train so it’s easy to go anywhere if you don’t feel like walking. There’s a taxi stand too just a block away from the hotel. The staff are wonderful! They helped us book our transportation to the airport. The room is superb! It’s clean and modern. It was a very pleasant stay.
Great staff, room, service, everything. Highly recommend!!
Alessandro and Roberto were a pleasure to deal with. They made dinner reservations for us, arranged for a car to pick us up from our cruise ship. They were extremely efficient, friendly and enthusiastic hosts.
Perfect location and ideal facilities. Staff are very helpful and also very nice. Breakfast is perfect. I would stay here again.
Mordern rooms
Nice place to stay, 5 minute walk from spanish steps and only short walks to plenty of other sites, i would also resteruant 34 off piazza spagna
This is great hotel!! 15 mins from the metro station but I walked everywhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful!
VERY NICE ..HOTEL ..VERY CLEAN ..Very well treated...THE ROOM SMELL NICE ...LIKE TO GO BACK TO THE SAME HOTEL ..
Lovely hotel right in the centre of Rome
Amazing staff, no problems at all and the most care free and easiest holiday i have ever had. The hotel feels safe and clean and I would recommend to absolutely everyone looking to stay in Rome, it's location is perfect.
We loved the hotel location for access to all the top sights. The area was also very safe, clean and quiet. The staff at the hotel were so kind and helpful. The room was very comfortable with an excellent shower and everything was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful experience. Friendly staff, room always clean, staff was helpful with any questions that I had. Great location.
Small well run accommodation in quiet location but still within walking distance of main sights. All staff very friendly and exceptionally helpful, nothing was too much trouble (searched for train tickets for our onward journey) Would definitely recommend. Mille grazie 😊
Horrible staff / INOP AC / they don’t care
As soon as we arrived we noticed the AC was not working. We immediately advised the staff and they started rambling around with different remotes to make it work. We left for the day, and thought issue was resolved. After a long day of exploring we come back and the AC again was not working. The staff simply suggested open the window. We could not believe it. As expected, the noise from early morning traffic woke us up early, combined with the heat. So much for wanting to relax. One normally books a hotel to rest and shower. We definitely could not rest, and the shower was overflowing into the whole bathroom. And when we advised the morning staff, again they didn’t care and just said “my manager here tomorrow” ( same excuse the employee said the night before)... literally a joke. So many other great properties, stay away.
Staff were amazing
Quiet, welcoming and lovely. Would recommend to my friends and family
Not a four star hotel.
Very disappointed. I checked the site to get exact directions to find our preppaid rate was double what they were currently charging. The hotel has no signage so it was difficult to find. We had a broken window which we pointed out because it looked like glass was about to shatter. It was an extremely noisy street. A very disappointing last night to end our ten nights in Italy.
Excellent hotel in beautiful Valetta
The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was a nice spread. The room was comfortable, and the location was perfect.
All you need for city break
Clean, comfortable small hotel, close to city centre and sights, but situated on quiet road next to American Embassy. Very friendly, knowledgable staff who go out their way to help. Decent breakfast
Nice boutique guest hotel
Near US Embassy within easy distance of restaurants, shops , sights etc ask for a front facing road room as courtyard is less than inspiring
Good hotel in a better area of Rome
Room was adequate, clean & had everything we needed, breakfast could do with a few more options though.
Small hotel in central location
The hotel was in a very convenient location in close proximity to all attractions. The room was clean and the bathroom nice with a great shower. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was limited but adequate
Quiet, brilliantly located hotel
We loved our stay in the Roma boutique hotel. Excellent location, it was quiet-not a nosy streets or other visitors. Alessandro at the reception was amazing! Professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and kind. We stayed 4 nights, it’s excellently located-walking distance to all must see points of interest, shopping, restaurants. Room was all we wanted- great shower, comfortable bed, minibar and tv. Grocery shop 1 minute walk from the hotel, if you need necessities, metro 5 minutes walk. Definitely would recommend this place.
Excellent
Everything was perfect and the staff is really nice and helpful, a wonderful experience
Nice hotel close to bus station and subway
Nice hotel, close to bus station and subway. Fair breakfast not too many choice, most of staff were friendly.
great location nearVilla Borghese
lovely restaurants nearby close to metro nice area beside American Embassy good shops nearby on the Via veneto Breakfast was great but staff were the best part
Clean, friendly, quiet, and strategically located
My wife and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hotel management has been so kind with us to change the dates of our booking one day earlier at no cost when we requested them to do that. It is a very clean, friendly, quiet, and strategically located hotel. Everything is within a walking distance! Great hotel!
Excellent location.
Great location for many of the main sights, walking distance for most. Close to two Metro stops. Most helpful staff / Management, nothing too much trouble. Great fun.
Great hotel!
We had a really wonderful time staying here for our short stay in Rome. Alessandro was an amazing host and had excellent attention to detail. As active people we enjoyed an afternoon jog to the park near by to watch sunset. Even in winter this was manageable. Great facilities and location plus to staff really top it off! Highly recommended!
Not your regular hotel with a sign and an entrance
Our uber dropped us off and we struggled to find the entrance. A bit wooden door with a call box on the side. Press the button and the big heavy door cracked open and we ha FYI force it to open all the way (same when trying to leave) You have to rely on some one buzzing you I. And then fight to get the door open. Once inside it was nice and we breathed a sigh of relief.
Warm, friendly and comfy and in a great location.
If you re not bothered by the pomp.and grandeur of a doorman and a row of desk staff greeting your every move, this lovely little hotel is just what you need - spacious rooms with a very comfy bed and bathroom, clean and beautifully decorated, personable charming staff. No bar but a small breakfast room with a decent breakfast. Good value and a lovely manager who gives great restaurant recommendations - in a nice area, easily walkable from the centre . Exactly what we needed for a long weekend
Great location and staff
Highly recommend. Very qualified staff. I would stay here again
Money Got Stolen
Alejandro, the manager and presumably the owner of this establishment, is a great guy! He was very helpful and considerate to all my needs. He even purchased my tickets for the Vatican and Colosseum, and reserved a taxi to the airport for my finance. However... money went missing from my room in not one but two separate occasions. First time, 45 euros disappeared from my bed side table while I was eating breakfast next to the lobby. I didnt think much of it - I just assumed I misplaced or dropped it. The very next day though - again, while I was eating breakfast - my roll of cash was short 22 USD from my table. I am quite certain because I counted my money before I left. I have a sneaking suspicion that the maid stole it, because when I confronted her, she turned bright red and seemed quite nervous. But I have no actual proof of this. Just the fact that my money was stolen twice.
Nice hotel close to everything
Everyone was very nice and helpful. The hotel was a short walk to the metro, shopping, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Great location by US embassay. Very nice and convenient
I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. The location is in a quiet neighborhood. Hotel staffs are very helpful. I will surely want to stay again.👍😃
Good spot, clean hotel, helpful staff!
The only issue was finding the front desk! Make sure you go up to the 5th floor!
Lovely small hotel.
Having spent a day in Rome in April, we were very keen to return to explore further a truly amazing city. We chose this hotel, as much for its location as anything else. We acknowledged that it was not the biggest hotel and that it would not have the facilities of other large “branded” hotels, but, it had everything we wanted for a city break. The staff are extremely friendly and could not be more helpful. The premises were very clean and tidy.
Contemporary boutique hotel in a fabulous location. All staff incredibly warm and helpful. We will stay there again for sure
Hotel in safe place and close to everything
I really like location and owner is very helpful, need to clean better bathroom
Great service at excellent location
Great service, friendly and helpful staff; morning breakfast is simple but great quality... location is right across street from US embassy, quiet clean streets with a decent superstore right at the same building; lots of restaurants within 5mins walks and they all seem to be great. The room is clean, fairly large, high ceiling; the mattress is on the harder side, the shower water pressure is low, but not too bad.
Great boutique hotel
Alessandro was a wonderful host and very helpful in orienting us to Rome. The room was clean and just as described. Walkable to several tourist attractions and the train station/metro. Great water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was great-cappuccino, croissants, fruit, eggs. Would definitely stay here again
Great location to major Unesco sites.
Pleasant staff, on the fourth and fifth floor of a beautiful old building. You could walk the stairs or take the elevator. Continental Breakfast was included in the reservation.
nice stay in Rome
hotel was really nice, and also the reception guy:)
Great hotel. Great location Wonderful breakfast. Would stay there again.
Nice place
We only stayed in this hotel one night, but it was nice.
Wonderful experience
This was my first time staying at a boutique hotel and I was super skeptical. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with open arms. The owner, Alessandro went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. When our credit cards didn't work (because of verification reasons) he immediately offered to lay out money on his card for our colosseum and shuttle bus tour. He made us feel like we were truly part of his home. Next time I'm in Rome I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you, Alessandro for being so welcoming and genuine!!!!
ROMA BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Stayed at the hotel before. Good location for visiting the sights. Comfortable rooms and helpful staff.
Rome
Wonderful helpful staff. Friendly and gracious. Clean rooms, breakfast served every morning. The owner is tarrific.
Great location but....
To start with, I don't tend to like hotels in mixed commercial/hotel buildings. Lobby is on 5th floor. This is a limited service hotel(no doorman, concierge etc).. Rooms are small, a little austere and breakfast is very basic. But location opposite US Embassy couldn't be better. Not bad for overnight stay but wouldn't recommend longer term stay.
Really sweet staff
Really respectful staff. Clean rooms. Centre of rome. Perfect location. 10min walk to the trevi fountain.
Great location, friendly staff, good overal
We liked the location very much. Less than 10 minute walk from Rimini station, and still walking distance to Fontana de Trevi and other attractions. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the room very clean and comfortable. Considering the comforts and location, we found it as a great value for the money. I would recommend it and perhaps stay there again if opportunity arise to visit Rome again.
Great staff convent location
Hotel near American Embassy, 4th and 5th floors of a building, there is an elevator, air condition worked great, private nice bathroom, comfortable bed pillows. Continental breakfast and barista to make coffee. Staff spoke good English was very helpful planning activities, helped pick the best way to experience Rome. Keep tour bags on last day so we could get one more item in. Taxis are available walking distance to Trevi fountain and others
Nice hotel with very friendly staff
Nice Hotel and great location. As many reviews have said not easy to find initially due to signage. Whilst we would recommend it for most not ideal for young families with prams as on the 4 th and 5 th floors. It has lifts but they are quite small making it difficult to get all equipment and people in. Simple but nice breakfast and the staff were fabulous and very flexible and helpful.
Overall great stay
First checkin experienced some hiccups but was overcome by the friendly manager Alessandro. Assist to change my room and ready for any enquiries at all times. Breakfast limited but warm bread was super nice. Hotel is walking distance to Spanish steps and few restaurants nearby. Great stay overall.
Great place, great people, a wonderful place stay in Rome.
Roman Holiday
Located in a posh neighborhood of Rome, near Via Venetto. Roberto the owner is amazing and very helpful. The rooms were very updated and comfortable, well appointed. Breakfast was Continental style and cappuccino was excellent.
Exactly the type of Hotel you're looking for...
The Roma Boutique hotel is perfect if you plan to see Rome. The staff provides excellent service and the rooms are adequately equipped. It is not a fancy, high end spot, but we weren't there for that. We came to see Rome and rest our heads when we were done. It's location is great to walk to all of Rome and the breakfast is just what it need to start the day. Faruk the night guy is pleasant to encounter in the morning and will promptly make you a coffee! I would recommend it to anyone.
Located on the 4th and 5th story of a building. There are stairs or a lift to get up to the 4th and 5th floor. We arrived before check-in and were greeted warmly. The front desk gentleman was very nice and able to have our room prepared early. About 8 minute walk to Trevi fountain. About 10-15 to the spanish steps. Overall, good experience.
Quite square
Bath room service zero. Breakfast incomparable to two stars hotel. No signs at the main entry to r the hotel you have to be colombos to find it
Great Location and Service
Alessandro, the hotel manager, couldn't have been more accommodating. I wish he had been there when we checked in. The hotel is situated in a quiet area near the Borghese Gardens and Trevi Fountain. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable. The price was excellent and there was a simple, complimentary breakfast.
Clean room, nice staff
Staff were nice and helpful! Room was clean and big enough for 2 people. Location was only 15-20 walk to the Spanish steps
Walking distance to many Rome attractions
Would recommend and stay again. Grocery (Co op) store immediately adjacent - very convenient. Good selection of restaurants nearby. Walking distance to several attractions (eg Spanish Steps), including to metro for sights that are a bit further away (eg Vatican). Room was comfortable - included small fridge to cool down drinks. Bed was rather firm - OK for us. Hotel is across the street from US embassy, which has an annoyingly noisy (how appropriate...) vehicle entry gate, but fortunately it was not an issue at night. Staff was great - Alessandro gave very useful and helpful info.
Look no further when booking a boutique hotel.
Alessandro (who I believe is either the manager or owner) provides first class service and a personal touch to guests from the moment you arrive until you leave. The staff were always on hand to help with any queries and the only issue we had; a broken light in the toilet, was reported in the morning and fixed by the time we returned in the afternoon. The location of the accommodation is really central but really quiet and safe at night (there is a police station in the same street). Perfect stay, highlights were that a breakfast was included. This is a continental breakfast - I have read some other negative reviews of this, but if you are like we are; keen to get up and out- then the breakfast and lovely, friendly breakfast staff is perfect. Big thanks to the staff there- you really do make it so lovely to stay and your local advice on where to go was much appreciated.
Comfortable, friendly hotel in a great location
Wonderfully located within walking distance of all the major attractions. Staff were all very friendly and eager to help, they gave us some great tips on where to eat.
Great, central hotel
Hotel in ideal place, within walking distance of Trevi Fountain/Spanish steps/places to eat. Also within walking distance of metro station which allows easy travel to the Colosseum and Vatican City. Staff were wonderful, willing to do anything asked, even helped us arrange our airport transfer due to our poor Italian and inability to communicate with the driver. Good breakfast, very comfy room, amazing staff. Ideal place to stay.
Wonderfully friendly and welcoming staff
Staff were very kind and accommodating. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Great location for walking to all the sites of Rome.
Boutique Hotel Roma | Hotel in Rome | Travala.com
The staff are great ans they kept the room clean but it shouldn't be called 'hotel' it says inn at the reception but hotel online. The place is not easy to find, no sign on the outside. Its probably air b&b but not a hotel. Breakfast was terrible. No allergy consideration either.
