Not great to see a Police car there talking to people in the next unit. Unit was very clean and tidy and updated nicely, but the beds were very hard and I was awoken by the people in the unit next door arguing at 1.30am. More soundproofing between units?

Central, close to amenities and it was great to meet up with family who were staying there. Thank you for a pleasant one night stay.

Great location for the purpose with wonderful restaurants around the corner. Central yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Should have been renovated many years ago. Everything operated as it should, staff were freindly and the room looked okay from outside. The room however needed dragging out of the 80,s. I suspect there is no need to renovate due to the motels position near to major sporting arenas. No reason for the owners to let the room descend into such a shabby state.

Really good value and the family units are very roomy. A convenient location too.

Nice place. Close to claudelands event centre, city centre and university. Quiet place.

This was handy to the City. The staff were pleasant & helpful but the grounds & rooms are tired & need some TLC.

Relatively comfy & clean. Good sized room. Could have had more free wifi & to give 2 hours notice for the spa wasnt good

Close to Claudelands Arena

STayed here for the night of the Foreigner Concert as motel was close to the venue. Found the bed rather hard and the sheets kind of stiff and unfortunately being in a downstairs unit we heard the noises of people in the unit above us, so it's not very soundproof.

Great value, tidy & clean

Clean tidy motel close to the Home Show at Claudelands

Comfortable room in handy location.

Room was spacious and clean with a good shower. Though close to a main road, rooms were situated far enough back so that there was minimal road noise. Close enough to walk to the city. I would stay here again.

Quality tea bags!

I was surprise how quiet it was being on a major road. Had all the facilities that I needed for an overnight and even had good quality tea bags which is my benchmark!! The room was warm once I put the heating on and the bedding was very warm.For a night at an expo it was good as the event centre was only 3 minutes away. There were 2 single beds in one bedroom. I was on my own so I used in the additional single bed in the lounge so I could watch TV. It was such good value.

Great shower clean however drapes smelt of cig smoke. Units could do with an update however staff were lovely. King bed was hard... Central but clean and tidy. Thank you.

Thought we had booked queen bed but got two single beds

Clean, quiet and easy

Had a great stay here. Very clean, well-laid out rooms, with all the amenities to cook dinner. Front desk answered all questions, and was very friendly - they have plenty of local knowledge.

Safe stay

We had a safe stay, motel staff was excellent and very friendly. Room was nothing like pictures we booked from. Was clean and tidy. Very old but comfy. Would stay again. Bed was comfortable and excellent pressure in the shower.

Old-style but in a nice way.

Rooms were dirty used sanitary pad found under bed.Exposed wiring on electric blankets.Power points had been burnt out at some stage.Wifi connection was very poor and parking was limited. Fridge was leaking. No locks on bathroom door or toilet. Heater power points looked too dangerous to use. Rooms were serviced however rubbish from adjacents rooms was left outside our room all day and night. Definitely do not recommend and will not stay there again.

Nice clean tidy room, recently been redecorated, friendly staff, great location walking distance to Claudlands event centre.

Affordable motel

Nice and quiet. If you need wifi then it's not your kind of place. The room was really nice though.

was OK - no toiletries in the bathroom - room was very clean, but time for an upgrade

Good Motel Accommodation

Stayed 2 nights for a conference at Claudelads which is within easy walking distance. As it was winter the heat pump was needed and did a good job. The building is of concrete block construction so not new but has been modernized and is well maintained.

Awesome place to stay

Awesome place to stay, fabulous hosts and great pricing, we had a one bedroom room with seperate lounge and kitchen, bathroom and toilet, almost like a little house, very clean and tidy, laundry on site, we will definitely stay again when in Hamilton.

Great Price great room

Had a great night stay, clean room, great bed, great shower and had the rugby on TV!

Disappointing

Although the location was great to walk to the Chiefs stadium that was the only redeeming quality. On arrival they couldn't find our booking but because we were staying with another couple who had already booked in we were able to call them to find out which room we were in - then they found our booking. Surprise! The room was advertised as a 2 bedroom unit but there was only 1 small dark room with the other bedding in the lounge area - that had a concertina door separating it from the rest of the unit - no privacy at all. There was no separate bathroom but instead there was a room off the hallway for the toilet & behind a slid door was a shower & the hand basin was in the hallway all opposite the kitchen. Very dated design & decor & itsy bitsy unit. We stayed with 6 other adults & by the sounds of it their rooms were no better - & we wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Not sure where the room is that is shown on the advertising?? Because it wasn't any of the 4 rooms we had. But I do have to say thank you to the hotel owner who sent my earing to me after leaving in the unit.

Comfortable

We had the 2bdrm unit for our little family for 2 nights & we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will definitely go back again.

Booked for a family event

15 of us stayed here for a family event. Occupied 3 rooms. Couldn't of found a better place. Lovely balcony with an awesome picnic table for us to sit at.

Big room with all facilities. Perfectly clean and tidy.

After staying the night...

Was a horrible stay, the staff was unpleasant and the conditions of the room was terrible. Actually found over a dozen huge bed mites, thought they were ticks at first cause they were huge and full of blood. Now this was after we slept in the beds. I put them in a glass to hand it and told them about it. All he could say was "someone must of brought them in". I said these are huge which means they been there for awhile cause they were full of blood. Not a happy chappy.

Murky Swimming Pool

Beds not comfortable, chose this motel because of the pool facility only to arrive and be told its okay to swim in but murky? Would not recommend esp as it is very expensive! ! Not worth the money. Also the box they have for the aircon is very loud. The interior os very out dated

Handy to Claudelands Arena

Proximity to Claudelands Arena was great. We were able to leave car at motel and walk to venue on both nights of our stay.

Good location

Good location, comfortable rooms. Shouldn't advertise that it has a pool when during summer it is "out of action" and by the look of the water it has been this way for a while. It is walking distance from the cbd though.

Nice motel handy to town

Friendly welcoming staff at reception. Room well stocked and clean. TV in the bedroom as well as the lounge, with some Sky channels included. Private spa was great. Quiet and handy to town.

Close to Claudelands Convention Centre, suitable for business activities

room was dated and a bit smelly. the price had been put up to over $230 because of the field days which is understandable but the price rise exceeded fair market value even for this time of year

Quiet motel. Perfect location for us.

This motel was easy to find, has good parking and was quiet. The staff were easy to deal with. It is close to shops including McDonalds and a very nice bakery and a petrol station.
