Room with a view

Spacious, comfortable unit, though sofa and carpet looked a bit tired. Nice to have a comfy seat for watching tv or looking at the view. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good sized thermal pool for soaking (not swimming). Lakefront location is terrific and patio area is a nice place to sit and look across lake. Cafe close by for coffees too.

very near to lake have great stay

We loved the location, just perfect, but the cleanliness of the place was very poor. Stained linen, dirty floors and dirty toilet. I would stay again, but only if the apartment was cleaned properly.

I loved the location and facilities

Amazing view

Wonderful views right on the shore of the lake sunset across the water was magical. Difficult to find the entrance from main road could have better signage. Enjoyed the thermal pool. Could not fault the facilities in the unit.

This was one of our favorite stops. We loved our room looking out over the lake and appreciated the jacuzzi tub after doing the Tongariro Crossing hike. The room was clean and was a short drive to shopping and restaurants.

Nice property about 5 mins from Taupō township. Large ground floor apartment with excellent lake views and access to common area hot pool. Tons of people go by the apartment to exercise, walk the lake side with kids, swans feeding in lake too - was a vibe, apartment still felt safe and quiet. Spa bath in room was cool too. Handy to have use of site washing machine and dryer available to use. Would stay there again.

Fantastic views of the lake and mountains

The Hotel had an amazing view of the lake, which is why we picked it. The Hotel manager was attentive to our needs (no hot water, and sewage smells in the room) and quickly addressed them. The room is looking as if it needs a bit of updating painting done. The linen on the bed had stains both on the duvet and the white bedspread, not very attractive. Also the smell of the carpet fragrance (possibly to counteract the sewage smell) was overpowering for anyone with sensitivities to smell.

Awesome view

Clean and tidy, spacious, with unbeatable scenery, right next to the hot beach

Excellent property, however it was a bit noisy at night with the very high winds whistling through the outside levels. Unit was well appointed, clean and the spa bath was bliss!! Mixup with deposit made to book so was not very happy that it had not been processed before we got to the hotel. The Manager was very helpful in sorting this. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was excellent. Was allocated a sepcial needs room. Basin in bathroom does not drain well. Old first aid plaster in shower. Spa bath was lovely but unable to remove stopper to drain out water.

Gorgeous room, amazing view and very friendly service. Bath-plug was broken but hastily replaced when asked. Misunderstanding how far from the town centre was the only issue.

Good size room, twice the size of hotel nearby. Movely view over the lake. Would certainly stay again.

Well!!! Where do i start!!! 10 out of 10!!! Excellent customer service! Our room was immaculate!! It has to be one of the cleaniest motels i have ever stayed in!! Outstanding!! Beautiful veiws!! Oh and the linen smelt so good!! I highly recommend them!! 😁😁

A hidden gem

Right on the lakefront, with spacious balcony and lovely room. In room hot tub is bliss and the outdoor thermal pool is perfect for a winter getaway. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

Was great view and very comfortable. We were not told and failed to note they had a fabulas hot pool we would have used.

As always, we had a fantastic stay at Boulevard Waters. The location is stunning, the facilities are excellent (and very well presented), and Dayna and her team are amazing hosts.

Nice location on the lake…

Nice and quiet spot well off the main road. Lovely lake and mountain view and right on the walkway/cycleway. Parking is a bit ‘tight’ for average size car.

Fantastic accommodation

Excellent stay here for six nights. Great location , walking distance to town but out of the busyness. The manager was so helpful on all fronts. The room is really well set up for families as the kids can go to bed and the adults have the main area. The hot pool was a novelty. We really want to return, this place was the highlight of our NZ trip so far!

Boulevard Waters Motel Was a great property. The host was fantastic. Perfect location on the water. An absolutely perfect view of Lake Taupo. It would be our place to stay when we visit New Zealand again. Thank you for the memory. Trish Dillon and Todd

We loved being right on the lake. The balcony was covered and very large. Great room!

The property is in an excellent location, and the views were fantastic. The bathroom is dated and does signs of discoloration on the ceiling.

The lakefront location was nice. Rooms appeared nice in photos but once we arrived we realized they were old. Carpet could use a clean and so could the couch. There was an old smell in the room.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Very tidy and well set out with a great pool to relax in. Views of the lake were brilliant and with a private courtyard it made it a nice place to sit at the end of the day.

Absolutely wonderful. From the lovely receptionist (so sorry have forgotten her name) to the comfort and cleanliness of the room, the views are stunning. We will 💯 return here when next in the area.

The experience

I enjoyed the view from our private balcony. The heated pool was lovely, the spa bath in the bedroom was a highlight and the coffee machine was great for our morning cuppa. Enjoyed our stay here.

Dissappointed the bedroom spa was not thermal mineral water when you had the water right there. Chlorinated town water was disgusting to bath in not what we thought we were signing up for!

Excellent in every detail! Booked as a Hotels.com Reward Night, but this will 100% be my new Taupo go to! Room were blissfully comfortable and quiet. Right on the lakefront with awesome views over to the Volcanoes. Staff were really friendly :)

Absolutely lovely people, genuinely interested in you trip to Taupo and how you enjoyed it. They let us check in early so we could head away again for our afternoon sky diving. Nothing was a hassle, great location and just short walk to a cafe and restaurant. Love how they encourage saving water by giving you options to reuse your linen! Thank you very much!!!

Would happily stay again

We booked a lake view room with a spa bath, it was modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. We also had a lovely warm welcome and we're able to use the shred laundry facilities, very useful.

Thoroughly recommend

The accommodation was superb. Fantastic location, with great views of the lake, right on the door-step. The welcome was great, plus the use of the laundry was a real bonus. A nice walk along the lake-front into the centre of town.

A perfect studio apartment on absolute lake frontage. Fresh, roomy, and wonderfully well equiped. Julie and Terry were a great help, and had obviously gone out of their way to think about making their guests stays as comfortable as possible.. With a great cafe next door, (The Wholesome Cafe) and beachfront path we had an idyllic stay.
