Good place to stay for Oktoberfest. It doesn’t have many places around it for food or drinks, but there are some places within a few kms of the hotel.

Went for oktoberfest. 5 stars in all areas. Highly recommended!

Warning! My daughter arrived a day late at this hotel because of a scheduling conflict. The hotel policy did not let her cancel the room, which I understood. However, when she arrived the next day, they told her, her room was give away, even though I told them in advance, via email, she would be arriving a day later. When she arrived she had to fight for almost 2 hours to get the room I had paid for. At check out she was billed the full amount even though they said her room was given away. It's highly unethical to bill twice for the same room for one of the nights. If they billed me for the room, it should have been available immediately upon arrival. Currently fighting charge with my credit card company. Buyer beware

We stayed there two nights and our room was not cleaned. We left all our used towels in the floor the first day and of course they were still there when we got back in the evening. One of us had to walk down to reception to get new towels. Reception only had hand towels so we use those after shower. The front desk person was not really bothered. I don’t understand why a hotel would charge the same amount for two nights and not bother refreshing the room. Very unusual.

Property was nice but there was no AC. Keep this in mind if booking in the summer months

Great value for money, great location, no luxury.

Hotel is centrally located and it is very good value for money. If you arrive before 11 am, do not expect the friendliest staff to greet you. However, you can store your luggage using a locker. The studio that I had booked was clean, but very basic. No toiletries or decorative items. One pillow was too soft and the other one was too hard for my taste but overall, I was able to have a good night sleep.

A little bit out of the city centre but i really enjoyed this hood with a few good local bars and a graffiti park nearby. only a few stops into town or a wiluock line scooter ride in a straight line

Best hotel

Its an amazing place to stay. It was our 4th time of staying here. Loved it each time. Great location not far from everything i love.

One kind member of staff loaned me Euro2 for the left luggage from his own wallet when I was looking for change - above & beyond, many thanks.

This is our second time staying at Bold. Very simple/straightforward, yet stylish vibe with super friendly staff. Comfortable rooms for a very reasonable price. U stop directly outside. Short walk to cafes/coffeehouses/bars/restaurants. (In-house cafe/bar adjacent to reception was a nice option also.)

The location of the hotel was the best part. The subway was literally just outside the building you could get to all the key locations via subway. The staff were friendly and helpful but the room was only ok considering the cost. We also found it to be quite noisy hearing other people around us.

We've been twice and every time its been superb can't fault it at all. It compliments the whole trip perfectly. All the staff are friendly and interested in learning about our trips. Dolca la vita across the road is perfect place to start your day. If you looking for amazing german food drei muhlen and for drinks you have the perfect bierkiste. Frisch bier and Zanetti bar.

We had a great stay here during Oktoberfest and loved that the hotel was within easy walking distance to the festival. The room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. As an international traveler, we would've appreciated USB ports on the nightstand.

I was there for the Oktoberfest...so convenient to everything. A cool part of old Munich to get out, see and experience. An air con in my room would of made my stay even better. Ngā mihi nui (a big thank you) to all the staff.

A block away from the Weissn. Very convenient.

Check in was late, but staff was great. The rooms are clean, quiet and in a great location. A small fridge would be a terrific addition. Breakfast was adequate, but not great.

Ok for the price but won’t be back

The staff wasn’t friendly or helpful. They wouldn’t give us an extra pillow. The hotel hallways are dark and nothing feels cozy at all. Don’t be fooled like us by the pictures… Terrible beds, terrible pillows. Ok for the price but will never be back and wouldn’t recommend.

The staff spoke excellent English and interacted well with me during my week long stay in Munich.

Only stayed one brief night, the hotel itself is nice and clean. The street it’s on didn’t feel very safe and although there is a subway station right out front of the hotel it is currently under construction and the subway dosent stop there, which caused us to have to walk 15 min in the dark with our bags to the hotel.

Ok but wouldn’t stay again

The breakfast area and bar was nice. We thought it was weird that we had to walk across a courtyard at night to get to our block. Wasn’t very well lit. Loft was really small and had 2 doors to get in. Room was comfortable and was a good size. The room wasn’t very clean. The U Bahn is right outside but there is nothing to do in the area.

This was a great hotel. There is a subway stop directly outside which made everything super convenient. The staff is multilingual and super friendly. The room was adorable, very comfortable and accessible.

basic hotel that is conveniently located across a subway station with quick access to the old city or the Theresienwiese. If you stay in the back house, it is quiet even though it is located on a noisy main road.

Really pleasant stay.

Location is great, right above Poccistraße U. Check-in was easy enough and service very friendly. The room was much bigger than I had expected based on the description online. Great view off the (generous sized) balcony, comfortable bed and decent ammenities. The only thing I would usually love to have is a coffee machine in the room but they have a full service cafe downstairs so it’s no issue + bakeries nearby if you want to step out.

Perfect location for traveling around Munich with ease. No air conditioning which was a serious problem.

A good experience to stay in a local residential complex. The hotel is cozy

Felt like I was staying at apartment block, the lifts are super tiny. But the neighbourhood was very quiet and the metro is literally on the door step of this hotel. The overall stay was pleasant.

Nice hotel in Munich

A very good location hotel just right next to the U-Bahn station exit. The hotel has very neat design and doesn’t make u feel like live in the hotel but a room of your own apartment. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Also, Hotel provide a coin locker for luggage storage, easy to use and convenience. Water pressure for shower is slight weak and uneven.

This modern and clean hotel is incredibly well located, just steps away from an Ubahn station near city center. The staff is excellent and the breakfast they offer has a lot of variety and is enough to power you through the morning. I found the value for this property to be exceptional and would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient place to stay in Munich. The only thing to know is that the location is not a touristy area and so there are not a lot of restaurants in the immediate neighborhood of the hotel. But that really doesn’t matter as it is just a very few ubahn stops to a wealth of great places to eat, drink, and shop. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Munich !

A bar fridge would have made it perfect

This hotel was fantastic. A few stops from the centre, but in a great area. Staff were fantastic. Bikes to hire and a laundry on premise. Rooms were large and very modern. The only let down was there was no fridge. With a four night stay it’s nice to have a place to keep cheese or drinks cold.

Staff were really friendly and easy to talk to. The hotel was really quiet while we were there so we had a really cruisey stay with no disturbances. Room was clean and decor was nice (to our tastes anyway). Only downside would be the shower. It was quite small and the doors opened awkwardly when you were in there, so getting out was a pain.

The hotel is very conveniently situated near to the u-bann station making getting around the city very easy.

Unexpected...

Value for money. The hotel is 1 min away from the ubahn poccistraße. Very convenient, room is clean, big and breakfast was very good. Fully recommended.

Excellent choice in Munich

Bold Hotel is a great choice for Munich. It's literally 5 meters away from a subway exit (Poccistraße, U3 and U6) in a very nice neighbourhood. Nearly every room features a balcony. The rooms ar spacious and in a cool design, although there is nothing luxurious or posh about them. Very cool hotel bar, breakfast is OK (nothing for gourmets, but price / value is fine).

Great stay.. with just one offputting element

We we’re really happy with the room (at the back of the yard in the Hinterhaus) and the breakfast was very nice. The hotel was very conveniently places by the entrance to Pocistraße underground. The service too was very good. The only fly in the ointment was when we were crossing to the Hinterhaus one evening and looked back to see a mouse in the breakfast room, sitting in the back of one of the chairs, looking out at us. We spoke to a staff member about this, and he said mice had been a problem in the past. The staff were professional in all other ways, so I believed him when he said that it would be dealt with in the near future. I’d like to think this has now been done.

Great location.

Very conveniently located with U-Bahn entrance just outside. Only 3 stops to Marienplatz. Hotel was split over two buildings, we were in the rear building across the courtyard which was very quiet. The Gluhwein in the courtyard was a welcome touch as a nightcap. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom was clean but could be a little roomier. Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection of breads, pastries, cereals, yoghurts, nice scrambled eggs etc. Staff were welcoming and friendly. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Staff mostly very friendly especially veronica and abdel.very clean and smart rooms we had kitchenette which was small but very smart.beds extremely comfortable very warm and Windows keep out all the noise.hotel is only 10 steps from poccistrasse underground U3 and U6 lines are 3 stops to marienplatz .hotel is just a nice stroll from tollwood site.Breakfast is tasty maybe a little pricey for some.close by are a few pizza and burger shop but they shut quite early,pizza shop about 200 yards right out of bold did best pizza I have tasted.turn left out of bold About 400 yards along the road on right is the African bar,most friendly people behind the bar and best prices.all in all great hotel in a very good place

We enjoyed our stay at the Bold Hotel and would definitely return, pending the resolving of one small matter. When we were crossing the courtyard one evening, we looked back into the hotel to see a mouse sitting on the back of one of the chairs in the breakfast room staring at us through the window. While we understand that it's difficult to prevent rodents getting into old buildings, we'd be happy to know that active measures have been taken to sort out this issue (which I did report at the time) before we contemplate booking again.

We stayed at the Bold hotel for Oktoberfest 2018, which was very close and we were able to walk easily. It's location is perfect! There is a Metro station RIGHT OUT FRONT. The room was clean and comfortable! The staff was kind and very helpful. We'll stay again!

Good hotel great location next to Octoberfest. Minimal in room facilities such as tea and coffee. 10€ breakfast was good and they give a 5€ bar credit for not cleaning your room ( which can't be used for breakfast)

The only con to this hotel was the lack of air conditioning. Absolutely everything else was wonderful. It's very close to Oktoberfest but just far enough away to keep the noise down. My favorite part about the room was that it had a separate door to lock off the bedroom from the entrance foyer - this way, you couldn't hear people in the hall at all!

Lovely hotel with stylish rooms, a sweet little garden and nice staff and very close to the city centre by public transport. My only issue was that there was no air conditioning and there was constant traffic noise outside the hotel.

No air conditioning in our room and it was hot. Room size was adequate but the layout could have been better. Nice having a balcony. Breakfast was quite good. Having laundry facilities downstairs was great. There was construction ongoing at the time. A little ways away from the main tourist areas but the metro station was close and allowed easy access to the whole city

Pleasant stay.

Generally everything was fine. Maybe not that centrally located as we were expected, a little bit overpriced I would say. Upon check in there were 3 members of staff available and they could have taken us to the room, because it was in another building. But we had to find ourselves. After a room service one towel was missing. I had to go to another building at reception and ask for it. No roof in a balcony on the top floor. It was raining, we could not sit outside in the balcony.

Awesome hotel! A quick, cheap uber ride to anywhere in Munich. After a long day or touring or traveling, it was so nice to come back to Bold hotel where it’s easily accessible, safe, clean, and a fun environment. The breakfast each morning is a must, with a great variety of options for relatively cheap. Highly recommend and would come back for a future experience

Nice, comfortable, clean room with great amenities

The property has a clean, modern style. The staff is first rate. There is a washer dryer on the propriety that will cost you 3 Euros 50, total. Tell them you want to go green when you check in and you will receive a voucher worth 5 Euros that you can exchange for coffee, a drink or a snack. Going green basically means you reuse your towels and sheets. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but the desk fan was powerful enough to keep me cool and it covered most of the street noise. The windows of all guest rooms are in the process (end of June) of being replaced with special noise abating windows. The location is a bit remote from the center but there is a metro station just a few steps outside the front door. Marienplatz is three stops away. Buy the appropriate ticket or you could be fined 60 Euros!

a very pleasant hotel. i liked the design of the room, the floor and everything was pleasant and nice. the room was big enough and had a balcony. i would like a bit stronger soundproofing but therwise it was great

Lovely room, great breakfast, great location

It was quite hot in Munich and the room had no air conditioning. Because my room faced the street when I opened the window it was very loud with traffic.

Good sized rooms, pillows too soft and quite noisy at night. Bathroom small and shower difficult to get in and out of. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Affordable hotel, close to public transport

I have no complaints about my stay at this hotel. There is a U Bahn stop right outside the front door of the hotel and is only three stops away from the Marienplatz or central station. The room I stayed in was minimal but has everything you need. Overall it was a decent place to stay for 9 nights.

Excellent location, lovely staff and modern

Easy check in process, there is self secure baggage storage as well which was very handy. Staff were super helpful and lovely. Buffet breakfast was 9.80€ per person and there was a good selection. Scrambled eggs, sausages, yoghurt, Bircher, cereals, and lots of breads. Croissants were delicious and fresh. The room was really spacious and I got one with a mini kitchenette which was very useful. Had a stove top too. Bed was super comfy and bathroom was modern, excellent shower. Biggest room in Europe I’ve had so far. Very happy all round. Only issue was pillows were super soft and hardly anything but it’s like that almost everywhere in Europe.

Convenient position roomy

Great position 25 mins walk to town centre. Decent sized room (standard) with good shower. Note no tea/coffee making facilities in the standard room. Would be happy to stay again.

This place was perfect for my stay for the Oktoberfest. Walking from the fest as well as the city center, and a metro station right outside door! The rooms were nice and big and the staff were helpful and courteous.

This was a great stay, and the location could not have been better for our trip to Munich for Oktoberfest. Having a Ubahn stop right outside made travel easy and efficient. Would definitely stay again. Note that breakfast is not included with the room price. It would be nice to have a clock in the room.

Nice Modern Hotel

I enjoyed my experience at this hotel. All of the staff (except one) were very nice and helpful. The location of the hotel was amazing for public transit and for access to Oktoberfest. I would recommend this hotel. The only thing I did not like was that my room was right beside the main entrance to the back building so I got a lot of noise from the hallway and from the opening and closing of the main door. At times it was very loud.

Wonderful clean modern hotel. The rooms are very spacious and nicely done. The restroom is a little small, but well equipped. The staff is wonderful. They have 24 hour reception and 24 hour drinks/coffee options in the reception. The parking is very convenient. Located right next to a metro station, which was awesome. Very quiet and non touristy neighborhood. Great location, walking distance to some great cafes, coffee shops and restaurants. Highly recommend it !!!

A Hidden Secret

I almost do not want to write a review, because I consider this a hidden secret in Munich. Nothing too crazy or over-the-top...Just a simple, good, hotel, amazing price, in a good location.

The hotel is in a very convenient area ( next to metro station) and so nice. An old building renovated for being a hotel but kept its old soul. Really liked it

Anytime again

Awesome, hip, stylish, friendly hotel right at an underground station. Safe neighborhood. Theresienwiesen right around the corner (the location of the Octoberfest) which is great for a morning run. Great breakfast buffet.

Great hotel with super nice bar open 24 hours!

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights this past week, and found it excellent! It's a great location, the escalator to the U-bahn station is right outside the front doors, there's a really nice bar (doubles as the reception) open 24 hours a day; there's a delicious buffet breakfast every morning (at reasonable cost). In nice weather, there's a beautiful set up patio in the courtyard in between the 2 buildings, with tables, chairs, umbrellas for shade, even flowers on the tables - very nice bonus! Everything is recently renovated, very new and clean. Super service too. I will go back again! My only issue was that the wifi was very spotty in the rooms in the rear building, but they are aware of the problems and working to fix them.

The hotel was good, room spacious and clean. The kitchen area was a great addition for a cheaper breakfast option, it could really do with being lit though, it was dreadfully dark.

Nice hotel not too far from the central railway st

We stayed in comfort apartments with small kitchen for a week. There is nice furniture, cheerful stuff.But there was a cool floor. The central railway station is in 25 minutes on foot. So we enjoyed!
