Outstanding Service and Support with Travelers needs.

Very subpar experience with poor front desk service when requesting a ride that was unknowingly canceled in the morning after confirmation the night before. And the billing was much higher on-site than I was charged on Expedia. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. The experience does not match Marriott.

Great airport hotel with comfortable rooms

Very smart clean hotel. Rooms were comfortable and a joy to finally get a hot high pressure shower after two weeks in other parts of Colombia! Breakfast was great. Only 5-10 mins from the airport, taxi 30k COP.

Hotel convenient to airport, very industrial location

My recent stay at the Marriott Bogota Hotel was overall pleasant, but there are some areas that could use improvement, particularly in terms of available technology for guests. The hotel’s location near the airport is very convenient, making it a good choice for anyone needing a place to stay overnight in Bogota before catching a flight. One aspect that could be improved is the technology available in the rooms. I found it surprising that there were no USB ports in the room for charging devices. In today’s tech-savvy world, this seems like a basic amenity that should be available in every hotel room. Additionally, the in-room speaker seemed outdated, reminiscent of the old iPod era, and could benefit from an upgrade to a more modern and versatile system. Despite these technological shortcomings, the staff at the Marriott Bogota Hotel were friendly and efficient, which contributed positively to my overall experience. Their hospitality was certainly a highlight of my stay. In conclusion, the Marriott Bogota Hotel is a convenient option for travelers needing accommodation close to the airport. However, I hope that the hotel management will consider upgrading the technological amenities in the rooms to better meet the needs of modern travelers.

GREAT service. The food is really good. I had breakfast every day at the hotel and enjoyed the different options they offered every day. The room was cleaned every day. Indoor pool was very nice and warm.

The staff was very helpful in arranging our activities!

Las camas no son firmes. Las atención no es buena. Pedí unas bolsas extras para colocar la ropa sucia y la recepcionista dijo que no tenia. Además, muy confuso el tema de los impuestos del hotel que ya se habían pagado a través de Expedía.

The room was nice and clean.

Very good clean hotel with great breakfast service. The hotel is good for business travellers. If you are traveling for pleasure this may not be the best place to stay at. The bar closes at 11pm and there is not much to do or go to near the hotel

It’s location is in an affluent neighbourhood and also not far from the airport . The staff from the reception, dining and housekeeping are so professional and I think have to be commended. I will certainly come back and stsy here again.

Beautiful hotel, very clean. Spa staff were super nice and provided great service. Shout out to Daisy. She was a fantastic massage therapist, and friendly and pleasant. The waitstaff during the breakfast buffet were also very warm and friendly. Breakfast buffet was average. Front desk people were not as friendly nor welcoming.

Not up to Marriott standards

One night stay was below average and not what I expected from Marriott. A/C unit was not working up well and just one small bottled water in the mini bar is pretty sad.

What’s a great hotel, food, room and customer service amazing… Pretty close to everything

A person in particular that made everything so much easier for my family was Stephanie working in the front desk. The attention from the staff was excellent. Something unique that really stood out to me was the food in the breakfast buffet, it was delicious. Hopefully I have the chance come here again,because my family and I spent a wonderful time.

The Bogotá Marriot is a wonderful hotel, the staff is very accommodating to your needs. The facility is spotless and the location is convenient for shopping, entertainment and short drive to the US embassy. The restaurants have excellent food and the staff is second to none.

Always a excellent place to stay. My first choice

On several occasions I was served food that was beyond its expiration date. I actually became ill one time. The chef apologised but said there was nothing wrong with his food. Very low levels of food standards.

Good service good location

Good but not great - expected more for a Marriott

I was disappointed to not be given 2 out 3 items requested from the restaurant. Later the spa in the last floor is overpriced and does not allow for spa packages to be created (this needs to change to remain competitive), lastly room service should be available at any time.

I highly enjoyed my stay at the Marriot Hotel. Everything was excellent-the staff, service, cleanliness, and accommodation. I highly recommend this hotel if you want/need to stay near the airport.

As a North American traveller with limited Spanish, I was pleased that the front desk staff was fluent in English and very polite. I also Recommend taking the morning breakfast. The Saturday morning breakfast was enjoyed by everyone with beef, eggs, tamales, fruits, pancakes etc.

This was definitely the best hotel I have stayed in in Bogota so far. The room was beautiful, bed was extremely comfortable (with a pillow menu but I didn't need it), great restaurants, close to a couple of small shops and excellent staff.

Service is deplorable, we had confirmation that they’d pick us up at 5 am at the airport upon arrival of our flight, however no one was there. Upon check out i was charged the tax, when I shouldn’t have but they insisted and their credit card machines did not work properly that it kept declining my card. none of the three people at the front desk could help with our check out. I kept asking for a print out of all the charges and she kept telling me that she couldn’t give it because the tax wasn’t paid. Every hotel provides a print out for guest to review before checking out, and she couldn’t do that. The worst customer experience

Outstanding Hotel in Bogata!

Everything was outstanding...the check in process, friendly and helpful staff, room comfort and clean, location very safe, free airport shuttle, Asian hotel restaurant, complimentary wine at Argentine hotel restaurant. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again. Oh, also gym, lap pool, steam room, and dry sauna were great too. And fast Wifi service. Free shuttle service to and from airport is every 30 minutes so this is a bonus.

This Hotel is exceptional, four restaurants, indoor pool, spa. super friendly staff and upgraded security. Well situated near shopping and the US embassy.

Dishonest customer service

When we arrived home and looked at our credit card bill we realized we were charge a much larger price than what we reserved our booking for. When contacting them we were told it was for the 19% tax and the exchange rate of the day...a $55 difference. The tax is for Colombian citizens and foreigners staying overs 60 days. We do not fit into this category. When we checked in they took a copy of all members of our party therefore they knew we were not Colombian. They will not refund our money without us sending a copy of our passport with visa. Horrible customer service and Hotels.com is asking me to either email a copy of my passport or tons of other paperwork to fix the matter instead of asking Marriot to look through their copies of our passports. Do they think we are lying? Yes, appears so.

Beds sre really comfortable. Restaurants are good and very convenient. Close to the airport. Everything very clean.

Bogota Holiday

Great hotel, close to the airport. Room service was good and so was the breakfast.

Fantastic bed, super soft, haven't stayed in a bed like that before. Downside was that it's a very corporate hotel with high security out the front and not much to do in the area. This was fine for me as I just needed a hotel near the airport, but wouldn't use the hotel as a base while visiting Bogota for a longer period of time.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They accommodated our needs for vegan options in the Elite Members lounge. The facilities were excellent and a fabulous respite from sightseeing all day.

Name Says Marriott, Staff is Incompetent

On the Outside.. looks like a Marriot.. on the Inside..its run by a bunch of BOZO'z. As you enter, the Lobby reeks of cheap hair spray type air freshener... the toxic chemical kind. It dominates all hallways and its toxic. The junior 23 yr old Front Desk Manager denied it.. as if I was stupid. I told him to google the "toxic effects of chemical air fresheners" . He turned red. Then the front desk gave me wrong advice on what stores I could go to sending me around town for nothing. I had a debit card, which they had a problem with. I couldn't make a call from the room without going down to the front desk and paying for it first. Really stupid and rediculous. It has a nice warm pool for winter months and the rooms are like a marriot, clean and comfortable.. yet this place has serious management problems.

Bed like quicksand!

The hotel was very nice all around EXCEPT for the bed! We choose this hotel because we were going to be in Bogotá for one night, and we had to leave the hotel by 5:00 am. The location is 10 minutes from the airport. But we had one of the worst night’s sleep in a very long time! The mattress was so soft, you felt like you were drowning. There was absolutely no support. You just kept sinking. And every time you moved, you felt like you were falling deeper and deeper. We hardly slept at all that night.

Just a Marriot. Great but expensive

Great hotel but if you are not a Marriot member you have to pay for everything. My only complaint is TV channels, too much basic, thanks to have NETFLIX

You’re paying for the brand

I got into Bogota from Seattle, with a flying time of 9+ hours. I was I imagining something different than what was there. It started when I called the hotel, and was told that the shuttle stops at 10 pm. I got around 1 am. The staff did arrange a private shuttle at my expense. When I booked the hotel, it did clearly state free shuttle, but didn’t, mention time restrictions. The room was just that, absolutely nothing special. I think next time I will try to give my money to a local hotel.

Check-in

Colombian are required to pay for 19% tax when staying at hotels UNLESS you are a resident of another country which I am. I preented all my documentation but the hotel claimed that because i didn't book a breakfast package they had to charge me as a local resident increasing my payment by 19%. They showed me the law saying that the room has to be booked with a "vacation package" and as i explained expedia does not provide this details and that is the ONLY hotel in Bogota which makes those charges under that assumption. I am disappointed in Expedia not foreseeing this issue with the hotel or putting them under review because of this practice as i feel that i have been ripped off. I have used expedia for other hotel's in Colombia without booking a breakfast package and they have given me tax exemption without any issue. The hotel also recommended me to book directly through their website to avoid this issue moving forward.

Read small print about taxes said I would not be charged taxes but when checking in I did not pay for upgrade that included breakfast when I said no they then charged me 60$ in taxes

Exceptional experience on family visit to Bogota.

I've stayed at many hotels around the world, including Marriotts, and in terms of service, this was exceptional. People at the front desk, as well as the executive lounge were extremely proactive and thoughtful. We got caught in the rain, and without us even asking, the person at the front desk had a heater sent up for our clothes. When we missed the last shuttle to the airport, the hotel sent us in their car, at no charge. Location is not in the heart of the city, but accessible via both taxi and bus. This was our first trip, as a family, to Bogotá, and the concierge took a half hour to suggest things we could do, including detailed instructions on public transportation. The hotel itself is welcoming, rooms were nice, and the buffet breakfast was amazing. We had an enjoyable family vacation, and the Marriott was an important contributor. We hope to return, and would recommend unreservedly!

Don't skip breakfast.

Hotel is very nice and the bars, restaurants in the hotel are great. AC in the room was not very good and did not sleep well due to the temperature at night, but such is life. Breakfast is amazing and service was wonderful.

Close to the airport, but far from the fun.

Great hotel and amazing Breakfast. Nice facilities and warm feel. The air conditioning in the room does not work very well and the night was hot, despite the AC set on the lowest it would go. Also, do not do laundry with the hotel - Super expensive. Did I mention the amazing breakfast.
