Issues with Comfort, Infrastructure, and Cleanline

The location is great. But the building has no infrastructure at all, with a tiny elevator that either fits the luggage or one person. The apartment was very dusty, and I had allergic rhinitis during the entire stay. The shower would get cold during use, and unfortunately, our water heater stopped working. Communication was difficult, and we had to be moved to another room. In the new room, the same issue happened — the shower would get cold halfway through, and the room was not well cleaned. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor, and there was a bad smell coming from the drain and toilet. The heating system didn’t work. The apartment didn’t smell clean, and neither did the bed linens.

Great place to stay!

The flat was very comfortable and in a great location—close to everything we needed. Communication with the host was easy, and our requests for extra towels and hangers were quickly taken care of. The bathroom was a bit small but met our needs. We did notice the kitchen faucet was loose and there was duct tape on the rain shower head, but overall, we had a pleasant stay and would book again.

An amazing apartment. Right in the middle of everything. Rooms were spacious and beautiful. We loved out visit. Wish there was an English speaking channel on tv. Will be back for sure!

Comfortable, great location!!

Bobs place was an absolute dream- coming from Los Angeles we didn’t know what to expect as pictures sometimes exaggerate- but this apt was perfect, charming, romantic, and efficient in a travel partner. Church bells in the morning! Thanks again.

Bob is obsessive about achieving a 5 star rating,.it shows. My booking was everything I could have hoped for. Solid shower, great communication, great location, good price, etc. 10 out of 10. Will book again if I visit a location where he has lodgings.

The area was really wonderful, the staff at the hotel were very nice, however the room we stayed was not so great, the toilet was loose and leaking, the room next door had plumbing issues and the smell was bad , we reported it but nothing was done. The price for this hotel was high and not in par with the facilities, definitely not staying again in this hotel.

We visited our daughter who is studying abroad. This was a great location just minutes from the Ponte Vecchio bridge. We walked everywhere. The staff were extremely helpful and responsive. Any time of day they responded to a text message within minutes!! Would highly recommend staying here!!

My family and I loved this property. Is very well located near Ponte Vecchio and from there is walkable to all main attractions in the city. The apartment is really nice and they provided welcome gift with teas. Communication was excellent and prompt. Excellence choice to stay in Florence, highly recommended!.

Very cool place to stay - it’s like what you see in the pictures

Nicely located and easy access to main area of Florence. The only things I didn’t like were it was very noisy at night. Windows don’t absorb noise and it smelled a little like sewer in the washroom area, but parts of Florence smelled like sewer water.

What a cozy apartment! My sister and I had an amazing time and really enjoyed our stay. We used the kitchen to make some delicious Italian meals. The furniture was comfy and our hosts were very responsive. The vintage elevator worked well to get us down 5 flights of stairs. The only negative was a musty smell in the bathroom, they had an ion air cleaner to refresh the air. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would come again!

What a fabulous apartment in a fabulous location. The touches in the apartment are gorgeous and really thoughtful. Bob W is a brilliant concept and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Well positioned next to the Ponte Vecchio, and easily walkable to the Duomo, Uffizzi, Pitti Palace etc. A few minor glitches, but response time on WhatsApp, and in person where needed, was incredibly quick. A good location, pleasant flat, excellent service

Perfect location, with great communication. It does get a little loud at night, nothing good earplugs wouldn't help with :)

Close to everything

Great place to stay, near everything.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect and the place itself was nice, clean and spacious. If I come back to Florence, I will definitely stay here again.

The property is centrally located to some of the most historic sites in Florence like the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Signoria. Had a few small hiccups like a malfunctioning front gate, but overall I would recommend staying here.

It’s so noisy at night, at 2 am on Saturday we were woke up still by people’s talking and car passing nosies, and you can hear those squeaky noises from the old elevator if the customer in the other suite came back or out at late night! If you are a light sleeper, you can’t sleep here! The pillow on these sofa bed are too low and soft, I could get one more from luggage room, but it was kind of inconvenient, I wished more pillows and bathroom tissues available in room! The location is close to all shopping areas and tourist spotlight areas! For the purpose, the location is great!

It was a nice area place to stay.

Having stayed at other Bob W locations, this one paled in comparison. Things were coming apart at the seams, especially in the bathroom and sink area.

We loved staying at this room for our stay in Florence. Since it was mine and my husbands birthdays we came in and saw that they had decorated for us which made the stay even special. in addition they had left us with some goodies to enjoy on our stay including the tote bag that you can take home as a souvenir. The location can’t be beat, right by the ponte vecchio bridge and easily walkable to most tourist attractions. But was also in a safe, secured and quiet building. There’s shopping right as soon as you walk down your doors. This is one of our best stays during our European adventure. Will definitely stay again as we love Florence and this was our second time visiting. Also communication was fast and easy. We got a hold of them even when checking in late. Stay here if you want to enjoy a hassle free stay. Love all the details that the company provided for us during our stay. Thank you!

Excellent location and great property!

It's not just a hotel room, it's an experience.

Loved the Bob W experience! Super friendly place, located a few steps from Ponte Vecchio. It's not just a hotel room, it's an experience. We had lots of gifts, like cookies, a tote bag, and a pack of instax (really loved this last one) Amazing

Close to Ponte Vecchio. Walkable to most of the places, grocery stores near by. You can stay like as if you live there. Very at home / comfortable setup.

In love with Bob

I love Bob W and the staff, the accommodation is simply the best. With the luggage room you have nothing to worry about the check-in or check-out (early or late, they also have super friendly fees) the bed is ultra comfy, there is a lot of space to acomodate 4 people and the ammenities are fun and easy to use. The gym is small but the attention is great and you can continue the basics of your routine. To get to the location is very easy but also is one the best areas in the city, within walking distance to beautiful views, important spots in the city and local shopping.

Week with Bob

My wife and I loved this room. There was a great amount of space, our lives were made much easier by the washer/dryer, and we felt very comfortable staying nearly a week. There area of town is very noisy, so expect to hear street noise during the night. We got used to it very quickly. If you're sensitive to noise bring some earplugs and you'll love this place. The balcony also offered a welcome oasis from the bustle during the days. Contactless check in was smooth as well. Elevator was small but very smooth. we were on the 6th floor, but usually used the stairs. Everything well maintained

I did not like d elevator. I cant go by myself coz iam scared. Too small and outdated.

This place had everything and was in a great location. Marvin was very helpful and the place was very clean. Highly recommend it!

This property is in a great location ..very close to shopping , restaurants, museums , train station.. all walkable. The concept of no front desk was liberating. All communication with Bob W via WhatsApp was prompt and “to point” We will stay here again when we return to Firenze

Unfortunately had to move rooms after one night as the door in the first room we had would not close properly and could not lock. Staff acted fairly quickly to get us into a different room however the quality and cleanliness of the new room was very lacking in comparison. Was still charged full price for the substandard accommodation as we were told it was in the same category as our initial room, however I assure whoever is reading this, it was not. The area the accommodation is in is good though.

It was an incredibly peaceful stay. I loved the apartment, and the attentiveness of my host was exemplary.

My wife and I loved this property. Great location with easy access to all major landmarks and attractions in Florence. Good kitchen. Great living room area.

What a great home away from home.

Bob W thinks through about little things from leaving out coffee and snack, tote bag for grocery shopping, yoga mats, to Polaroid camera for us to share our great stay with others. Great customer service and communication before and during the stay. The apartment is clean and well equipped. We also live the location. I would look for Bob W in different locations on our next vacation.

Loved the property and amazing hospitality

We loved staying at the studio, everything was great! Beautiful little terrace, great location, lovely team and good facilities. The only thing was the bed was very hard, but that might be a preference thing!

Bob W’s apartment in Florence was the perfect accommodation for our stay. Located a stone’s throw from the famous Ponte Vecchio, it provided shelter from the hustle and noise when we needed it. The charms of the apartment start a with the elevator. It is very unique and fun to travel in. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable. We were able to cook a couple meals in the apartment with ingredients bought in the Central market, only a short walk away. The extra little touches like the coffee and the biscotti was appreciated. Can’t wait to visit this or another one of Bob W properties.

Apartment was spacious, well equipped with dishes and everything we needed. Bed was to firm for us but that is a personal preference and staff was very helpful with providing a pillow top to make the bed more comfortable for us. Really close to shopping and lots of restaurants. Enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Florence Apartment

We absolutely LOVED our stay in Florence and will seek out other BOB W properties throughout the world. The property was perfectly located within walking distance of everything yet very wuiet. The amenities including power adapters, usb ports, and a washer/dryer were much appreciated. 6’3” 23 year old was happy on sofa pullout and the king bed was very comfy. Even though there is no front desk we felt very well taken care of. Appreciated leaving our luggage for a few hours after checkout while we did some last minute exploring. Zero complaints. Perfect.

The location of Bob’s Villa is excellent! It is close to all the major attractions, transportation and grocery store. Our daughters were extremely happy with the condition of the villa, the spacious rooms. The kitchen made our stay even more enjoyable as we’re able to purchase groceries and make snacks when needed. Having the washer dryer to do laundry in our apartment was amazing. Walking in the heat, you end up going through your clothes faster than expected! I would definitely recommend Bob’s Villa to anyone!!!

We had a wonderful time in Florence. Our apartment was clean and we had everything that we needed. It was just a short walk to where we wanted to go like the uffizi gallery, academia gallery and the ponte vecchio. The place might be a little harder to find because there is no big sign of the apartment/hotel. But just follow the instructions/directions that they will send on how to get there and you won’t have any problems.

This apartment was absolutely amazing as it is clean, spacious and modern. Was easy to communicate with property management and they quickly responded to questions. The location is fantastic as you can walk places very easily. I highly recommend the this place.

Our stay at Bobs was amazing. It’s such a convenient location, you walk outside and everything is there. The room is extremely clean and updated. There is also a lift which is helpful for suitcases so you do not need to carry them up the stairs. Very safe entrance as well it is gated by two gates. The area all around is pretty safe.

They paid attention to detail, promptly fixed minor but annoying issue with shower.

The apartment was very clean, and close to many area points of interest. Great neighborhood with wonderful restaurants. Unfortunately our apartment location/view was not as expected. No “balcony” or view, and was located facing a very busy main road, with very loud pedestrian and vehicle noise. We certainly can tolerate some noise, but trust us, this was extreme, and went on ALL night long. We reached out Bob W to request a location switch but “nothing was available” but they did offer us “ear plugs”. We would suggest making sure you request (and receive) a room in the back of the building.

Super new and clean, only challenge was the narrow elevator doors and 6th floor so risk someone leaving door open. But this is a historic building so an expected issue. Shower door small too. But all other super !!

This apartment was in the best location and felt spacious. It had many great and fun things going for it, such as size, amenities and outdoor space. Even a very cute lift system to get you to the top floor where our apartment was. We had booked the Studio and it was really well laid out. The apartment however was a little run down and with basic maintenance issues which could have been easily resolved with some TLC. These were reported to BobW and while they remained unresolved in our short stay our issues were acknowledged quickly and a partial refund given. BobW are trying to do things differently and for the most part achieving this. We enjoyed our stay.
