Overall this is a great place and very convenient for going to Shenandoah. The only aspect where I thought things were lacking was the cleaning, as there was a bag of trash left hanging from the door and there was no shampoo. I didn’t discover the missing shampoo until it was too late to do anything about it, which was unfortunate because I really wanted to wash my hair.

Great Stay!

Motel was great. Simple but clean.

A very old motel. Wall is very thin and you can easily hear people speaking or watching TV in your nearby room. Bed is very uncomfortable. Linens are sort of clean though the quilt is not.

Good value for anyone on a budget. Clean though a bit dated.

The lady in the office was very nice . And explained everything . Very sweet and polite thank you .

This motel is a typical 1950's motel. Clean, small, quiet and convenient. Perfect for what we were looking for.

The housekeeper is so friendly and this is a lovely place to stay if you want that country inn vibe

Good for a short stay, older property. Don't expect a 5 star experience. Clean & quiet. Bathroom a bit small & closet tiny. Mattress old & squeaky but did sleep ok. Convenient location.

The staff at this hotel is so nice and respectful.Didn’t have any issues with staying here . I wish they offered rooms to pay biweekly with 2 beds but other than that I would definitely recommend staying here if you come to Front Royal and don’t want to stay in a chain motel this is the perfect place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Last Resort

I’m staying here unless is it absolute last minute desperation. The location is good but the cleanliness of the hotel is definitely a one or two out of 10. They had maid service available which was nice but there were holes in the car even though I had a non-smoking room and some weird orange is yellow thing on the bottom side of the cover as well. Also I got given hand towels that were burnt I’m not sure why they’re using This linen but this is what they have to offer. The staff was polite and they have a bell you can ring after hours if you show up late or check in.

Hotels had not sent reservation

DIDNT HAVE MY RESERVATION. 3 ROOMS LEFT. ALL WERE SMOKING. NO WAY TO CANCEL BUT I THINK IT WAS A CHARGE BY THE HOTEL. Ive stayed before. For a motel, its clean and just has the basics

The mattress and bed frame were both wrapped with plastic suggesting the possibility of bedbugs. I didn't stay.

This place seriously needs some work! The carpet looks like it has seen the civil war, everything is just soooo run down! Door knob was getting ready to fall out, makes you feel really safe! At least the linens and towels were perfectly clean! AC was working well as well. You get what you pay for, but I wouldn’t stay again!

The gentleman checking us in was very friendly. Our room was clean but the bed was very uncomfortable. We had been travelling a few days and had a few more to go. Every time you moved to creaked and the mattress seemed lumpy. Disappointed we didn't get a good night sleep.

Good basic motel.

This cozy charming little gem located in Front Royal Virginia where the beginning of the Skyline Scenic Parkway is. It is nothing fancy, just a budget motel providing a good night sleep. The bed is comfortable and the room is squeaky clean.

We knew it was an older motel but expected a comfortable bed. The mattress was lumpy and noisy. Sheets were clean as were the towels and carpet.

Very basic, but not expensive. For a bed for a night, it was fine. Disappointment was that there was no breakfast.

Worst bed. Old, very bad soft and bowed mattress.

It was nice to have the microwave and fridge, but ice is an absolute must in a motel. There was none available. The room was very clean and the A/C worked very well.

State of the art for the 1960's

Smelled like cigarettes, to be expected but just an FYI.

Convenient to fair grounds. Clean. Noisey close to hwy. I ORDERED A DOUBLE TWO BED ROOM. I RECD A E MAIL FROM MOTEL AN WHEN THEY LEARNED I WAS A SINGLE OCCUPANT..THEY CHANGED TO A ONE BED ROOM YET DID NOT REDUCE MY RATE!! There was not an ice machine or ice bucket. Mattress very worn...sagging infact! WILL NOT BE RETURNING NEXT YEAR.

For the affordable price this was a very nice property and I would definitely stay again.

I would recommend for a quick one night stay if all you need is a clean and comfortable place to sleep.

Just to sleep….

Thought it would be a Mom and Pop motel, turns out there are people actually living here. There was no ice, the bed was made with flat sheets over a plastic covered mattress that would slide while you slept, which eventually you ended up on plastic. It was a no frills motel…

The manager was very accommodating and the room was very clean

Reserved the room online prior to our trip. When we arrived we were told they did not have our reservation. The man was very apologetic and found a room for us. We were just uneasy where we were and couldn’t relax. We left at 3 am.

Meh. It was ok.

It was just ok. The manager didn’t seem to know about a reservation, but he gave me a room. ...different than the reservation but ok. It’s a 2 star place.

Small but clean

Checking in the attendant wasn't at all friendly. The room was very small and outdated, but clean and everything worked. Housekeeping was very friendly and also the attendant when we checked out.

I stayed one night at the last minute while passing through on a motorcycle. The price was right; the lot was clean; the room was in order; the surroundings were quiet enough; the door and windows all locked and the shades all opened and closed. Water pressure was great. Check-in was uneventful. Parking was room-front. Good food is nearby. The hobo knocking on the door across the courtyard from me (to see if it was occupied?) then peeing in front of the room's window (in broad daylight) and staggering off around the corner was annoying. It seemed there were a certain amount of rooms with long-term occupants.

Don't get fooled by the looks.

Rooms are very dirty and out dated. My sheets looked like they never changed. Towels and wash cloths are stained and worn out. House keeping is terrible. No ice machine and wifi doesn't work. Outside of hotel looks great so don't be fooled.

The motel was convenient for my travel needs and the price was hard to beat. The room was especially small but clean and the beds were comfortable.

Room was clean. Slow drains in sink & shower. Bed was OK for 1 night. Good price.

Old school motor court style motel

Old school motor court style motel, very clean. Proprietor very friendly. This is not a fancy motel - it is functional and comfortable. The only down side was the wifi - it was very slow.

During check-in - I requested to "shorten" my stay. The gentleman was uncooperative. He wanted me to pay for the entire stay/then call Expedia to have them modify the length of stay. I called Expedia; and, modified the stay. When checking in for the second time - a different person [female] assisted me; and, asked "WHY" I modified my stay to leave a day early REALLY. There was no coffee in the room/no iron. You TRULY do get what you pay for.

Room was clean, beds comfortable. Good Value! Interior was dated but OK for price.

Oh. It. Was. Just a. Nice. Area. Everything was. Close. The. Town Super Walmart. Yes Gas was. Cheap in that. Town. Great. Nice people. I will be Back for Another 1 or 2. Day Getaway. Just. Wonderful. Thumbs. Up
