Bisma Eight Ubud

My stay at Bisma 8 was generally enjoyable. The spa treatments were relaxing and of high quality, and the breakfast offered a delicious options. I especially loved the unique Japanese cedar bathtub in our room. :) The staff were kind and attentive, always willing to assist, which I really appreciated.

Wonderful hotel

Amazing as usual!! This was my second stay at Bisma Eight. What a wonderful hotel. The rooms are comfortable. The grounds are lovely. The forest is enchanting. The infinity pool is fabulous, overlooking the forest. Yoga with Cok was wonderful. The breakfast was perfect. The activities available on site were great. Best of all, the staff - just wonderful, so friendly, helpful and accomodating. 10/10 recommend this hotel to everyone!

Nice staff!! Close to attractions

Bisma Eight is truly an oasis of beauty and elegance located in the heart of Ubud centre. Outside is the usual busy ebb and flow of Bali but inside it is tranquil and extremely comfortable. We were treated to a very high standard of service throughout the stay and the staff were amazing. This is a highly recommended hotel and I would have no issues with staying here again.

Amazing Villas a few blocks down the street from the main hotel. Villa property includes an amazing restaurant (with room service), spa, yoga, etc. We only went to the main hotel once for dinner which was also great. Very convenient to Monkey Forest and city center. Love this place and will surely be back.

We had many requests, and they took care of all of them. They really went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Their location is really convenient for the entire town. All in all it was a great stay.

Bisma Eight was a lovely experience. If you are looking for a quiet, and relaxing time away, stay at Bisma Eight. The facilities, room, staff, cleanliness, and complimentary activities and amenities were outstanding. You are surrounded by countless restaurants and shops that are very affordable and within walking distance. You must treat yourself to the Spa at Bisma. You will not regret it! Everyone is super friendly. Only complaint is the surrounding area and streets off of the resort. The streets are dirty with litter all over and garbage being burned on the side streets, which is very disappointing. The town of Ubud is also very busy and congested. One other minor critique are the drinks at the pool barely have any alcohol in them, but we still enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

Hotel was great! Nicely done up and spacious room. Beautiful scenery from the pool - excellent place to see sunset over the valley. Staff were great too - always willing to help and furnish information. A little far from the main shopping street so be prepared to walk if that’s what you are keen to do. Would have given it full 5 stars if not for the misleading exclusive VIP offer which stated that a free spa is included but it turned out to be merely a half hour back or foot massage which was a huge disappointment considering the price of this hotel. The staff did try to make up for it by offering us tea which was nice, but I would still wished they have stated it clearly upfront. Another disappointment was the breakfast option, where although it is included, you may only choose one out of the 9 breakfast options. I fedback to the staff that the whole feeling is just not great, where you are willing to pay abit more, but still given constraints of options. Even if they had offered an ala carte buffet, we probably can’t eat a lot more anyways.

This was our favorite hotel of a 2 week trip to Asia. The streets around Ubud are busy, loud, traffic everywhere, but when you walk into the hotel, that all changes. It is so quiet, serene and relaxing. The front desk greeted us with a welcome drink and were very friendly. Our room was a canopy suite, with a living area including a couch, table and chairs and tv. The bedroom was separate as was a wonderful bathroom area. There was even a Japanese soaking tub which we never had time to use. The infinity pool is gorgeous with a beautiful view of tropical trees and flowers. Breakfast, which was included, was wonderful every morning in an airy outdoor area. There area couple of restaurants at the hotel also. There is so much shopping and dining options right outside the door. The monkey sanctuary is a short walk too. We would love to come back to this hotel if we are in Bali again!

Our villa I was awesome and so was the staff. We took the yoga class 5 out of 7 days and the teacher was amazing! Breakfast was included in our rate and we loved the variety. Service throughout was top notch.

Absolutely fantastic luxury boutique hotel that feels like sleeping in the middle of the forest.

Bisma Eight is a beautiful boutique hotel in Ubud. The rooms are beautiful and we were facing the jungle. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful infinity pool that we loved and the restaurant had a beautiful breakfast each day. Very close to the center of town

We loved our time at Bisma Eight and there is nothing we can fault. The food was excellent at breakfast, lunch by the pool and at the Embers restaurant

Would stay somewhere else

Quality vs price ratio for this kind of property is totally not understandable. The design of this place is very nice and modern, there are all amenities needed for holidays here, but the service provided is not excellent at all and the food is just average. I would stay somewhere else if staying again in Ubud.

Stayed at the Villas. Amazingly beautiful resort with top-notch amenities. Be prepared to experience true Balinese accommodation, in which it is open air and susceptible to mosquitos. However the bedroom itself was completely closed and did not have mosquitos. We had an included 30 min massage which was also very relaxing. Only negative is that the hotel is close to a busy area so it was not quiet during the daytime when I was trying to enjoy our private pool

Fatntastic Hotel for a Honeymoon. The staff are very friendly. They were happy to help with any queries or give advise on th local area. Excellent range of facilities including a gym, swimming pool and taxi service as well as a range of complementary classes including yoga, Balinese dancing and balinese cooking. The hotel is situated in a fantastic area with a lot to see and do locally such as the art markets and the rice paddy walk.

Fabulous hotel. Centrally located and an easy walk to shops, restaurants, temples, etc. Hotel bar, restaurant and pool all great for days you don’t feel like exploring.

My second time at Bisma 8. Staff so kind and responsive. Large room with 2 desk areas. Beautiful pool area. Great restaurant - we had breakfast every morning and one dinner. Can walk to many places of interest including food options.

paradise in Ubud

We stayed in a 1-bedroom villa for a week & absolutely loved every aspect of our experience! The staff are incredible- so kind, informative, and attentive, but also truly respected our privacy. Anything we needed was taken care of immediately. The staff truly made our stay feel like a 5-star experience. The Villa itself was beautiful! We were right up against Monkey Forest so the villa felt totally private- like a high-end oasis in the jungle. It was also fully stocked with toiletries & drinks for our stay. The turnover service was delightful. We were so grateful to have our own private pool too. It really elevated the experience & added a romantic flare. Oh, and the Japanese Tub was an awesome addition- great for a late-night soak after a long day of exploring. Note: do not leave food unattended as monkeys will snag a treat haha I was not expecting food to be a highlight but it totally was. We ate at Embers several times & also ordered breakfast to the villa, & we did lunch over at Copper as well. Every time, we were blown away. I had their chia pudding every morning & their chocolate mousse dessert might be the best I've ever had. The drinks were also phenomenal- low alcohol but that just meant I could try several. As if the taste wasn't enough, the presentation was impeccable! Truly like little pieces of art that happened to taste delicious. Ugh, so good! I absolutely recommend staying at Bisma Eight, & specifically at a Villa! Beyond worth it. We will be back!

Lovely property, fantastic quiet location. Wonderful service, cocktails weren’t very alcoholic for the price. Apart from that we loved our stay at the Bisma Eight!

Excellent experience

Absolutely loved this hotel! What is unique about this property, is the architectural style and the ambiance. It has a kind of homey feeling to it.The rooms are suites and they are very well designed to make you feel comfortable. The staff is amazing and the location is also perfect. Because of the traffic nightmare in Ubud, here you are close to most of the sites and places that you want to visit locally. The hotel has great cars and very good drivers that you can book to make your sightseeing more individualized and to your own taste. It was such a wonderful experience to stay here.

We are currently on the last day of our 10 night stay and we cannot recommend it enough. We came here on our honeymoon and I was a little hesitant to be in such a central location but once you enter the complex it couldn't feel more serene. The team in general are exceptional. The front desk will help with anything and everything from sourcing the incense they burn for you to have in your room, to putting up a screen for additional privacy. The villas are amazing, super considered and the open plan of the GF makes it feel all the more part of nature. The bathtubs are incredible and I'm never a fan of baths, and the private pools are more than generous. The real standout star is embers kitchen where you have breakfast included but can also have all your meals at. They have an incredible sustainable garden that each morning you can pick vegetables from for the chefs to cook (highly recommend the aubergine and the bok choi). The food and the drinks at embers are in my opinion some of the best in all of ubud and are far superior to the sister restaurant copper which gets better reviews. Embers and the team that work there are one of the most underrated things in ubud. If we are their every day I would be happy and we have just eaten at 3 3* Michelin restaurants in the past month, so believe the hype. We want to say a huge thank you to the team at Bisma Eight, we will be sad to leave but the memories will be with us. Side note and other suggestions for people staying in the area.

Nice Hotel near Ubud Centre

Nice hotel in the heart of UBUD.. good breakfast and nice pool.

This was such a dreamy place to stay for the week. I think my favorite aspect was the staff. They paid attention to every detail and were so kind and friendly with any interaction. Would definitely recommend this to anyone going to Bali.

Good but need improvement

The Hotel in good location in Ubud, just behind the Main Street there, I like the way that the rooms is away from the street, but my room wasn’t really noise isolation because we was hearing the sound coming from the next room!! The staff are super friendly, unfortunately I didn’t get any chance to get upgraded or even late check out (as VIP member in Hotel.com) I wish all the best for the hotel but really I would like to suggest to take more time for the small details…also I can say the breakfast is amazing and they have small coffee shop inside the hotel serving good coffee really.

We stayed in the pool villa. Was beautiful, private and throughly enjoyed every minute. Everyone from a staff perspective was top notch!

Spacious rooms that divide off and the giro is special

I like the location. It was walking distance to markets, restaurants and attractions. There could be more done with regards to mosquitoes. The room was provided with mosquito sprays, but a mosquito net would have been good. Woken up several times in the night because of bites even after spraying with mosquito sprays.

This is truly a luxury hotel. The suites are huge and well laid out. The restaurant is great for breakfast (included) or dinner. The staff is beyond helpful in every way… pool is relaxing and secluded. I highly recommend this hotel.

The bathtub in the room was amazing and the Japanese influence on the hotel layout meant it was a very relaxing stay. The staff were great.

The only down from our stay was a 3 am wrong maintenance call to our door which was supposed to be room next door, which ruined one night sleep and that the maintenance guys could not figure out quickly that our door was working fine and that it could not have been our door which was malfunctioning. Copper kitchen and bar located in the hotel was the highlight - a la carte breakfast is served in the same restaurant and is reaaly good as well.

Perfect location Upscale Hotel

Awesome location! Walking distance to so many restaurants and shopping option. Easy pick up for daytime excursions/tours. My room was as pictured on Hotels.com and the view actually exceeded my expectation. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was pretty good too with decent options and to order Cappuccinos.

A sanctuary in Ubud

Bisma Eight was our sanctuary in Ubud. They made a special effort to make our honeymoon extra special and we’re very helpful throughout our stay. Ubud was much busier than we expected and can feel a little overwhelming at times so it was great to experience excellent local cuisine in beautiful surroundings at the hotel. Our best culinary experience so far in Bali has been at the Copper Kitchen at Bisma Eight and the breakfast was outstanding!

Forest Suite room was lovely and the staff were very, very attentive. The hot tub in each room is also a lovely touch!

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Bali and we had a great experience everywhere, so it’s saying a lot. We were given a room upgrade to start. Beautiful room with wonderful staff and service. The location of this hotel is perfect and walking distance from many local attractions. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay here again! One of the best!

5 star service received from all the staff at Bisma Eight. The spa was amazing - it is at the villas (8 minute walk away). The room was clean. The hotel is conveniently located to a few restaurants. Can get a little noisy on some nights. Well situated within an 18 minute walk to the Ubud Market. Would recommend for a short stay.

I loved the Modern Details and the beautifully designed and spacious rooms was really nice and the stunning infinity Pool looking out over the Jungle. A beautiful place you won’t regret staying here

Lovely hotel. Rooms spacious but could do with update. Service brilliant! We stayed in canopy room, nice room but they’re facing other rooms. Hotel is in excellent location and this is its best selling point. Within walking distance of amazing restaurants and 10mins walk to ubud centre. Lovely views from pool over jungle! Pool is great! However it was almost a kids club at times! Lots of young children! Very noisy at times! Overall I would avoid if you want a relaxing location without noisy kids. Price was expensive! Have stayed in nicer in Bali for half the price, but I guess you’re paying for location. We loved our stay however Probably wouldn’t stay again due to the amount of children at hotel and noise.

A gem of a hotel

Where to start. The service here is just the best. We weren't happy with our room initially, they dealt with it so well, upgraded us and gave us free afternoon tea. More than we would have expected. The breakfasts are incredible. Pool area just beautiful. There is building work immediately next door to the pool which wasnt ideal but it didn't impact on us too much. The location is great. Close enough to the main streets but peaceful enough still.

Superb property in the heart of Ubud! The room was modern and bright (pick the canopy room) and breakfast was fantastic. The spa is located just down the street from the hotel and is well worth the 10 minute walk!

Beautifully designed hotel, excellent breakfast and flawless service.

The pool was great. Everywhere smelt really nice. Breakfast on the roof top was delicious and had a wide range to choose from.

Not dazzled

Nicely designed rooms, but the lighting at night time is fit only for the under 40’s ie too dark. The canopy room looked onto a man made garden through which you could see the opposite side of the hotel approx. 12 metres away. Service was okay but not exceptional. Check in experience a bit indifferent. As in most of Ubud there are buildings being put up either side of the hotel. The photos on the hotels.com website are done extremely well!

Amazing hotel! Staff could not do enough for you and are so welcoming and friendly. The room and hotel grounds were beautiful. Fabulous infinity pool.

The staff and service could not have been better and the villa was beautiful with plenty of space. However a few bits let the place down, such as the pool being freezing because it’s not heated, the obscenely loud pool drain that runs constantly, the slightly musty smell in the bedroom and the odd corners of the property that just aren’t as clean as you’d like.

Incredible hotel lovely staff

No single measure for mosquitoes. Had a dangerous virus during my stay there from the mosquitoes. Laundry was bad. Food in this hospital is the best across Ubud. The hotel needs maintenance.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bisma 8. The location was great for exploring Ubud. The hotel had comfortable beds, a wonderful Japanese soaking tub and wonderful Breakfast!

We had an incredible time at Bisma Eight! From the warm welcome at check in, to the delicious food at the Copper Kitchen. What made our stay above and beyond our expectations was our driver and tour guide, Lion! He knew all the best places to see, the best times to go and in what order. Truly made a lifetime friend and had an unforgettable Bali experience! Thank you again to everyone and can’t wait to come back to Bisma Eight and Bali!

PLAIN GREAT PLACE TO STAY

This hotel is capital F- FANTASTIC!!! The room was very nice, the pool area/pool bar was great. Most of all, the staff was great.

My partner and I stayed here for June 3rd 6th. I Originally planed on staying for 2 night but extended my stay because of how pleasant the staff are, the cleanliness, the location, and the amazing perks that the VIP package offers. Wow. The detail to care is apparent. On my birthday the staff gifted me a beautiful chocolate cake & thanked me for extending with 2 free foot treatments ( which were amazing) I really enjoyed the food, the gym, the layout, & the warm kindness of the staff. I would highly recommend this property, I will return in the near future. An extra note, I was so tired from the night before I left the villa without a painting I had purchased that was important to me & the villa messaged me to ask if they could deliver my painting free of charge. ( a 2 hour drive away!) Wow! My heart is very happy, my stomach full, and spirit is light. I have such gratitude & love your the staff of Bisma Eight Villas. Thank you so much. Cheers! Highly recommend!

Great experience. The hotel is very modern, sleek, and beautiful. The "canopy" rooms are a bit misleading as I thought I would be looking out to a forest/jungle but it was really just a few trees and then straight across, I could see into other peoples' rooms. But the room was really nicely decorated with an amazing bathtub. And the pool was spectacular and the service was great. They can even arrange a covid test for your flight at the hotel for you. Also very central location helped me quickly get around. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Super sleek property. Very clean and modern while still emitting the Ubud-jungle feel. You can tell it’s a 4-star hotel, although after visiting a few other hotels in Bali, I’m surprised it’s not rated a 5-star hotel.

Great hotel within walking distance of attractions

Large well maintained rooms. Friendly service. Limited breakfast selection but still tasty. Affordable spa service. Short walk from Ubud Palace, monkey forest and markets.

Our stay was absolutely lovely from the accommodations to the food to the facilities. The rooms are nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast and coffee are superb -offering healthy, vegetarian options and milk alternatives as well. The staff are incredibly friendly and do everything they can to make your stay special. There are a lot of details such as fruit and herb infused water available all day, cookies left on your bed in the evening, free yoga classes in the morning, etc. The hotel is located on a quieter street with everything you need nearby. The only thing I would suggest is to avoid the plastic water bottles at the gym and provide glasses with filtered water. The hotel seems to do a great job at avoiding plastic usage, and I don't think these water bottles add much benefit. It has been a beautiful haven for us, thank you for everything!

Awesome forest view and near the center. Quite location. Infinity pool. Apartment size suite. Giant wooden bath tub. Impressive room design and modern fittings. Walking to it from the center is challenging typical of almost all streets in Ubud or Bali as there are more motor bikes than pedestrians.

Great spot to be near the center of Ubud! Yet the hotel is tucked away from the noise, so you can feel immersed in the lush jungle. The pool is quite stunning—an infinity pool hanging out into the jungle.

Great hotel close to everything

Great hotel in an excellent location. I would definitly come back here again. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Food and service are second to none. Located just a short walk from the palce, monkey forest and markets it has all you could want.

Amazing hotel in the jungle with beautiful infinitypool. Breakfast was excellent with a la carte options and great service. Vera nice rooms and lobby.
