Nice rooms in a good area

The hotel is situated in a nice location in the mid-levels with stunning views of the city. The service was very good from start to finish. The property is in need of some renovation but considering the price I can’t really complain. Room is nice and clean and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast can be improved.

I didnt like being on 21st floor as I haveca great fear of heights.Free hotel shuttle bus was great.Staff were friendly.Hated coffeemate in the room instead of milk.

I enjoy walking and thus the location is great. It does need some walking on steep slopes but they are also fun streets. The place also has shuttle and a bus stop is right in front. Room is cozy (on the small size) and clean. Staff is friendly.

Dated but brilliant

Don’t be fooled by the appearance of the hotel which definitely feels like it was built in a different era, it’s wonderful. Great location, lovely rooms, fab staff (would probably avoid the breakfast unless you’re looking for something cheap and cheerful). Perfect base for exploring Hong Kong without breaking the bank and staying central. With the escalators and buses it’s very easily accessible to the rest of Hong Kong.

It’s very practical, good location, fantastic city view. Bathroom decor just needs some updating, but all very clean.

The hotel was nice and in a really good location in Mid-Levels. It’s only a short walk to the mid-level escalators so very convenient to get to Central.

We have stayed in this hotel 5 times because it is close to my family member in a 15-minute walking distance. People here are nice, but only professionally fine. I told the front desk that I have stayed here several times. Most of they look just ok, probably they are used to this kind thing.

I was not familiar with this hotel when i booked it but it ended up we were very happy with the hotel, the room and the amenities along with a great view.

Excellent stay. Amazing view of Hong Kong close to escalator and abundance of restaurants and bars. Easy to get around. Although hotel is a bit old but everything functions perfectly. Super friendly staffs. Thank you again and look forward to next time!

Spectacular view, plus I landed up getting a suite, while tiny the separation of space meant I could invite friends over off and on for super wine and top qual tapas, instead of going to scrappy or wana-be Soho bars with cheap wine and overpriced food. Staff was very friendly and helpful HK plugs so bring adaptors, but USB fittings help solve that provblem for devices. ** Warning for non-petite people, the shower cubicle is tiny, and could potentially be a showering challenge😄

The hotel's shampoo is a little off- also we weren't aware the hotel has a laundry service as it isn't advertised on the website. Other than that it was a perfect stay!

I've read the rooms were small, and yes they were, but they overall stay was great.

There was often signs of cleaning about. The pipes make a very annoying sound especially when trying to sleep.

The location is excellent with a great view, but the hotel itself is quite dated. Everything feels old, and the rooms are very small.

Great place that is Eco friendly

This place is excellent for solo and family travel alike. Situated in the Mid- levels you are in the city but slightly away from the hustle and bustle. The free hotel bus shuttle is actually very reliable and quite convenient. Right outside the hotel is a bus stop that will take you into the city so no need to worry if you miss the hotel shuttle. The hotel is also walking distance from the Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the Hong Kong Park, the Peak Tram and the Sacred Heart Church, just to name a few attractions. I will stay here again.

Close walk to Central. If walking is not preferred, the courtesy bus runs hourly to pick up people from 4 locations. There are various options for public transport too

Bishop Lei International House was recommended by a friend who has stayed there. It is an excellent hotel with amazing views and easy access. I would highly recommend Bishop Lei to anyone visiting Hong Kong.

It is the second time I have stayed in a single room at the hotel. The room is comfortable. The hotel is in mid-levels and away from the main hotel areas but convenient for me visiting family. A useful shuttle bus down to Central, Admiralty and Wan Chai is provided. I am not keen on the breakfasts as it is a sit down occasion rather than a self service buffet and I am not keen on the options provided However, the lunches are fine.

I loved my stay at the Bishop Lei International Hotel. Spectacular views, spacious rooms (for Hong Kong!) and very comfortable. Make sure you pay a little extra and get a room with 'city views' - you will not regret it. Close to supermarkets, the mid-level escalators, amazing bars, cafes and restaurants ony a block or 2 away. Recommend big breakfast & cafe latte at South Lane Cafe (3 min walk from Bishop Lei). Bars (Phoenix - or further down on Holywood Road - Stauntons - mid level escalators). Dinner: Chom Chom (Vietnamese fusion - unbelieveable). Hope this helps

Decent choice apart from beds

Decent hotel in a good location near escalators. Shuttle bus every hour to central is very useful and runs in time. Wifi is very good. Staff helpful and friendly. Rooms are very small for the price. Bed is like concrete and to be honest it would be more comfortable to sleep on the floor! Overall good though. Didn't try breakfast

Loved the shoe cleaner, the water dispenser housekeeping staff and the restaurant. The shuttle is great although the driver does t not engage with the guest. The concierge and bellman were also excellent the day I arrive and left. The shuttle is super convenient. The hotels is located in the mid levels and there is access to everything you can imagine you just need to walk down and talk the escalators back up. But you can go down for miles so wear comfortable walking shoes.

Didn’t expect the room to be that small

Good value in a great location. Hotel is quite dated but the suite option I chose was quite spacious. The swimming pool is decent. The biggest benefit is the location with easy access into Central and close proximity to the escalator.

Old building, slow lift, resturant not worth price, saw tourists comingvinto hotel with McDonald bags. Limited food options near hotel. A tspoon , small cup saucer, jug. Bring your own coffee, you have to buy milk. Found a good supermarket past the Circle K store reception directs you to. Young staff know howcti get tonplaces more than older male staff. Pool life guard rude, not at all helpful. He gives you a towel. Pool is not open all day. Have 30min periods for "cleaning" which is just putting cold wayer into pool.Closes end November too. Very humid even with 20C trmp. Pity pool closes then. The domestic staff mostly good vlean towels daily, request changebof duvet and pillowcases though. Dont expect ti be asked if staff can help, yoj need to ask for assistance. No maps or information inbyour room of tourist sites. Bus top outside. No 12 getsvyou to Central star ferry to Kowloon erc. No 16 gets you back to hotel. A single bed is not a King single, very small. The cheaper rooms look out to high rise units and roundabout at road level. You need to say you want a harbour view..costs more. I booked two rooms assuming they would be beside each other. No such luck. Rooms in different corridors The lifeguard reads whole time, never looks at people in the pool, dont expect him to save your kids. In hindsight I would book accommodation HK and Kowloon side. Wisecard, cash, Octapus card (use $$ for paying for food, drinks etc too..not just transport).

Tucked in the upper side of hilly Hong Kong. Great neighbourhood, safe to walk, bus stops right outside the hotel, hotel has it's open shuttle service with scheduled pickup and drop off from hotel to town and vice versa. Could also use the escalator from downtown. Rooms are compact but good views. Good pricing considering the location. Would stay again

Very affordable by the mid-levels.

Great views from 18th floor, mid levels, you will need to decide the pay off between a more central location but as a seasoned traveller its worth it. Taxis are 5 gbp. 10 aud from central locations back to hotel and hourly hotel shuttles are provided. I travelled solo, but paid for a deluxe, the property shows its age, so again, your call, think late 80s, worn carpets, fabric sofas, wear and tear, etc.. Staff are fantastic, concierge very helpful, cleaning is great, its just dated, but for the price, yeah, they can take my money again, and with the savings from the large chains across the harbour, I'll spend more on experiences. And that's the end game really@

Elevators are painfully slow - very frustrating. Reception staff are nice but seem always busy and have to wait. Room was good nothing special but sufficient and clean. Bed is comfy.

The view was not great but the room opposite had the best view which was annoying that overlooking the skyline i guess everyone wants that view and we weren’t lucky enough and hotel was far from everything so had to get taxis everywhere and it rained all the time so get ready for that….

Great place

This hotel offers high value for the price. It is located at an elevated spot, which means walking around may be a bit challenging. The facilities are clean and well-maintained but has aged and could use some remodeling. The value however and size of rooms still make this property one to recommend to travelers who want to balance budget with amenities and location.

In a quiet residential neighbourhood, close to the escalator.

I love the Christian touches that the hotel has, it's very thoughtful and tasteful. The reception staff are very polite and friendly. They upgraded us from a deluxe to a suite. Checkout was super fast. The driver of the shuttle bus was helpful and well mannered.

We have a super awesome view from our hotel, and that itself is a big plus! Also, the staff is very helpful! Before our arrival, we needed them to hold some mail packages for us and they were very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. The location is fantastic, close to cafes and restaurants. Enjoyed our stay throughout!

Room was small and by the lift, so pretty noisy

the property is in central. walkable distance to lkf about 5to7 mins. the hotel is clean safe and rooms are bigger than what you get around hongkong for the same price. has a nice pool too.

Pros: I would say my stay here for 5 nights was good. As me and my partner feel very comfortable and safe. The staffs were very friendly and informative and they all speak good english as well. The hotel is in the nice area and your room would have a big mirror window with a good view. Cons: However, the room is small if you have booked the standard room. Our double bed was 2 single beds put together which was uncomfortable and the mattress is quite stiff. The shower was not the right temperature, it kept changing from hot to cold or cold to hot. Lastly, you could hear people walking/talking in the corridors.

Very Central for anything

The hotel was in the Center of HK. Literally. It was easy to walk to anywhere and convient for public transport. Great view of the city from my room

A wonderful budget friendly stay in the mid-levels. Very close to the escalators, and close to 7-eleven, and other stores. Wonderful views of the city from this hotel! The shuttle is also quite good! Staff are wonderful; I forgot to bring a travel adaptor, and they lent me one no charge!

Excellent location to the long elevator and to SoHo. Excellent restaurants nearby. Can’t beat this location. Staff was awesome and attentive. The free shuttle was awesome. Recommended!!!

On the plus side my room was spacious with a separate bedroom. The western breakfast at 70HKD I thought was good value. The free hotel shuttle bus to Hong Kong Station was very handy. On the minus side was the location not being where all the restaurants and stores are located. However, with that said, 2 blocks away is the Mid Level Escalator system. In the bathroom there was a notice not to drink the water without first boiling it. You would think the hotel would provide you with bottle water as a result of this inconvenience. However, they don't, which I found very odd. The hallways are really worn and dated. Overall I gave it a rating of 3 stars due to the minuses I mentioned above.

A great spot for those travelling on a budget!

It was a decent place to stay for a few days. We didn’t do breakfast at the hotel, but there was loads of options nearby to grab food in the morning. The staff were very nice and efficient, whenever we asked for items like towels or tea bags, they were on call within 10 minutes. They also supplied umbrellas in the concierge section, which was perfect when we didn’t have much on hand to deal with the rain. My only complaint would be that the room felt a little confining. It was big enough for my friend and I for the few days we stayed, but if we were staying a little longer, it would have been nice to have a little more leg space to move around. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again should we find ourselves back in Hong Kong!
