Great location, very clean, easy check in

A clean, quiet property within a short driving distance to the restaurants and four mile beach. The pool was a bonus.

I was very impressed with Birch Resort. It was very clean and well maintained. The rooms appeared to be recently renovated. It was convenient to have the well-equipped shared kitchen area to prepare meals if you wished and laundry on site. Overall a great choice for a reasonable price.

I think the room was very good with a good size pool and grounds were well maintained, staff friendly but would like more than 1 pillow per person available in the wardrobe or on the bed

Walls are very thin which made it hard to sleep as we could hear other people all night. Very few amenities - only one tiny bottle of combined shampoo/conditioner. Staff were nice though.

All good but would appreciate hand wash, face washers, a tea towel, detergent.

A really nice place with nicely updated rooms

The staff were very pleasant, the rooms were clean and the pool and spa were very refreshing. A little more shade around the pool would probably be beneficial but this was not a criticism just a suggestion. We had a very pleasant stay. I would stay there again.

This room was fine. I wish there was someone there at the reception when we arrived. I was after 5:00 pm. They left the key in the safe and I saw two keys in there with two different room numbers. I opened one, and someone was in there!

Kid friendly heated pool, rooms clean, simple. Convenient to have a fully equipped shared kitchen at the back.

It was clean and the staff was friendly. Could do with more milk in room but room was clean and spacious could put one more chair in room. The air conditioning could do with a clean and the bathroom fan.would stay again

Thoroughly recommend it. It needs a car to get to the town centre but it has all the trappings of a nice quiet place after a whole day of touristy stuff.

Great hotel for travellers on a budget. Clean rooms and close to everything.

We were surprised at our room. It was very pleasant and comfortable, especially for the money. Nice pool. Good basic accommodation.

Modern, clean property within short driving distance of the town. My only criticism is the lack of accessible power points for charging phones and other gadgets. There was a single power point in the bathroom only.

Stayed here while in PD for the Gran Fondo....Perfect!

Loved the communal kitchen environment. Lots of appliances. Great laundry facilities. Improvement- some maintenance jobs needed to be attended to. More secure screen door. Not just mesh. I will definitely return to this facility, My time was shared with teenagers and daughter, so perfect.

Property was comfortable for our 1 night stay in July 2023. For active people it is workable to Marina,Four Mile Beach & centre of town. Place was a little hard to find as the signage hasn't been changed from old name Uyong . Fortunately we received a TXT message prior to arriving with address and giving us the old Business name. Would come back and stay longer as I think the price works well for what you get and the location.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms are modern and spacious, with a pleasant garden view at the back. Having the communal kitchen amenities available was excellent too and we used their outdoor patio area to sit, read, swim and relax. Staff were lovely and let us stay whilst waiting for our afternoon transfer. The walk into town was fine, not too far.

Was a great place to crash for our family for a few nights. Clean, affordable and the kids loved the pool.

Nice stay.

Helpful staff and very comfortable rooms. Quiet area -a bit far from restaurants and the beach by foot but easily accessible by car. Would recommend

Simple, Clean, Value!

Formerly the U-Young Dive Resort (hence no Birch signage out the front yet), this is motel style accommodation. But in modernised, simple, clean, renovated condition. You wont get better value in Port Douglas. A big tick.

Nice clean, quiet and comfortable bef

Staff was accommodating when found though reception seemed to always be locked when needed. Room was comfortable, modern & maintained. All appliances worked. Pool was a hit. Loved that the dryer was free. Louvred window in bathroom was positioned in the shower - no privacy - the bathroom is at the front of the room alongside resort walkway.

Lovely place to stay. Staff is terrific. Pool is beautiful. Enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel, room is spacious. Beds and other facilities match its price. Good location. Check in and out is easy. Wi-Fi has to be reconnected once a while or you will lose connection.

Cheap and cheerful, comfort and facilities far above my expectations!

Rooms were very Large, clean & tidy.👍 Cool pool, was for scuba diving.

Great spot. So much better value than other options. Pool was lots of fun and had a good bit with about 1m depth for kids. Has a camp kitchen which I didn’t know about before. Simple, clean and pretty quiet.

Prima kamers.

De kamers waren uitstekend. Heel ruim en netjes en een nette en nieuwe badkamer. Het in- en uitchecken verliep erg onpersoonlijk. De sleutels zaten al in de deur toen we aankwamen. Daar kwamen we pas achter toen we na een aantal keer bellen eindelijk contact met iemand kregen want er was niemand meer bij de receptie. En bij vertrek moesten we de sleutels gewoon in een bak doen. Dat was jammer maar het verblijf was prima.

Schöner Pool, sehr ruhig, gute Parkmöglichkeiten, Räume waren für 4 Personen groß genug, sehr nett aber Check-in etwas chaotisch da Raum verwechselt wurde.

Sauberes modernes Hotel zu angemessenem Preis

Wir haben uns sehr spontan entschieden, hier eine Nacht als Zwischenstopp einzulegen. Daher hatten wir zu wenig Zeit, um zB den Pool zu nutzen. Dieser sah aber sauber und gepflegt aus. Das Zimmer war sauber, modern eingerichtet und die Betten waren super bequem. Es gab einen Kühlschrank, Geschirr für 4 Personen und Kaffee inkl. Zubehör, zudem Pflegeprodukte. Also alles vorhanden. Das Hotel liegt ruhig in Randlage. Der Check-in per Telefon hat reibungsfrei funktioniert. Ein schönes, gepflegtes, sauberes Hotel mit angemessenem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir können es empfehlen!
