Nice B&B feel, close proximity to a lot of things

Food, drink, and shopping is just a few minutes walk away. This place is well situated and offers a nice feel.The rooms are cozy, beds clean, a balcony from our room, and what seemed like a recently renovated shower with great hot water and pressure. What more do you need?

Nice traditional hotel in a great location

The hotel is ideally located, close to the restaurants and bars of Garmisch, and close to the Zugspitzbahn, as well as having plenty of free parking outside. The welcome was great, with complimentary afternoon cake and prosecco. The room was comfortable and quiet, although perhaps showing its age a little. Breakfast was also pretty good, apart from some confusion about tables being reserved, which I've never experienced at breakfast before!

Great place and wonderful, accommodating people. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling in the area. Breakfast and afternoon "tea" was tasty and plentiful.

Excellent choice near center of town and ski slope

My daughter and I spent 4 nights at the hotel for a ski trip. Everything was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Real nice cozy Hotel . Room could use new décor .

I was very pleased with everything & would go there again . I very much liked there breakfast & the whole Hotel was very cozy . I had to up-grade though , because at first , I wasn't getting a Balcony . But for more money , there was no problem of changing that . My room could used new Wall paper & better framed Pictures though . But in all , I was very happy .

Homey hotel walking distance to shops.

A very homey, cute, quaint hotel in a prime location to shops in Garmisch. Felt like we were staying in a big old house. Nice, cute, comfortable and clean rooms. No air conditioning, though (Expedia lists this hotel when you constrain on air conditioning in amenitites filter - so Expedia should correct this). Luckily it wasn't too hot, so that ended up not being an issue. Very enjoyable stay.

Quiet retreat

Situated in a quiet area close to the town centre, this hotel was very comfortable for an overnight stay. The referring was welcoming and friendly, with helpful advice on where to eat and some lovely walks. The room was clean and comfortable, despite the overall furnishings being more"traditional" rather than modern. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff most attentive. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Good traditional accomodation

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly. It was a place of character , a traditional Bavarian style hotel. The room was a little cramped but if I return to Garmisch , I would stay here.

Enjoyable stay

We only had one night here on route to Italy pre Christmas. Very comfortable and peaceful outside peak season. The buffet breakfast was delicious, all organic produce and local where possible. It was a delight to experience high quality food in a relaxing hotel with lots of character. Very close to the train station, making travel stress free. Thank you for a great overnight stay. Very romantic small hotel in Bavaria

Perfect welcome the hotel staff is very friendly. Nice decorated and a very charming small hotel and a perfect organic breakfast.

Wonderful place for a romantic, Alpine getaway!

We stayed for three nights at BioHotel Bavaria. The hotel is a short walk from the train station, in a lovely neighborhood close to downtown Garmisch and restaurants; staying at the hotel also gets you a KurCard with free bus service to hiking trail heads. The breakfast buffet, all organic, was wonderful and filling - they even set out an early breakfast ahead of our early morning train. The room was very comfortable, with a gorgeous balcony and view of the Alps. Highly recommended!

The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very sumptuous and a wide spread.

Bavarian Road Trip

Hotel is 10 mins walk to the train station. Hotel is also 10 mins walk to the center of Garmisch for shopping and food. Room size is Ok. Bathroom smallish but managable.

Nice hotel. Close to city center. Breakfast buffet is great. We more than likely stay here again.

quaint place downtown with great service

really friendly staff that made an effort to make your stay comfortable. I arrived late at night and they had a note on the door for me. They had clean rooms and there was plenty of space in the room for European standards. It was an easy walk to downtown Garmish's restaurants, pubs, and stores. I would stay here again.

Nice cute Bavarian hotel

I had a lovely stay thanks to the welcoming, hospitable and attentive staff. My room was a one bed room. It's not big but it's charming, with the bed in a wooden cabin and a balcony to look out and sit out. The bed wasn't very comfortable actually but I never understand how to use the German pillows. They are square and you're meant to puff it up somehow. The organic shower gel was gorgeous. Also the sister hotel spa was lush and free to use. I enjoyed the breakfast as well. Really healthy good quality food. You can taste the goodness in them.

Lovely hotel, close to town

The location of the hotel is very convenient to walking to the main shopping area of Garmish. The staff was so friendly and helped with reservations for dinner. The breakfast spread was fantastic; plenty of food and a great selection. Peach cheesecake - yummy!! Room was good but a little small and the shower was small but did the job.

A wonderful German hotel

The hotel was great with comfortable rooms, a great breakfast and very helpful staff. The common areas showed their age, but what hotel doesn't? Overall I enjoyed my stay and my travel companions even extended their stay by a day after I left. Nicely sized rooms, though American's beware the shower is small by US standards (though completely normal for Europe). The bed was super comfortable, and there was plenty of space to store luggage and sit--though in Garmisch the best views are outside.

good location with comfortable room

Great little place. Not elevator which is a bit inconvenient as we had to carry our luggage to the second level. Great shower pressure and good water temperature. The oil heater in the room worked really well. Beds were comfortable but the pillows were a bit soft. It's not too far from the main train station. There is a great Asian restaurant nearby! Must recommend it as is was delicious and so cheap. WiFi worked well.

Hotel Bavaria,

wonderful place, staff was very nice, parking tight but ok, street parking if needed which we never did. very close to town, easy walk, great breakfast every morning.

Fabulous experience

Everything was perfect. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The breakfast each morning was enormous and delicious. You need a separate wifi code for each device, but they are free. It was very nicely situated less than 10 minutes from the train station. We had a lovely balcony. Can't wait to come back again.

Older hotel one block from downtown Garmisch. Room was neat and clean. Bathroom was good sized, with nice shower. Good breakfast. Service was efficient. We recommend

A good town to visit.

Was good except due to the weather, we weren't able to see the beautiful mountains. But enjoyed walking around both Garmisch and Partenkirchen.

homey base for touring the area

Came for a couple of days on a lightly rainy weekend. Hotel is warm, pleasant and homey. English is spoken just enough to handle formalities, but staff means well and smiles. Neighborhood is quite and pleasant, and walking distance from center. Breakfast has very nice variety and pleasant. Would gladly come again. NOTE there are larger rooms with balconies and smaller simple rooms, so select your preference (might cost different).

Nice place for a short stay

Spent a long weekend here this winter. Great staff, nice little downstairs cafe. Great location, walking distance to all the downtown shops and restaraunts. On site parking was very limited however there is roadside parking all around. The rooms were nice, but a bit smaller than expected. Overall great stay for a short trip.

Older hotel in Garmisch, Bavaria.

Room was spacious and quiet. Bath was modern. Hotel is short walk to downtown area. Staff can handle English well. They were helpful with local travel directions and restaurant suggestions. Parking was limited but ample. Overall experience was good.

Ski break in Garmisch

Pros: good location, nice and helpful staff, good breakfast. Cons: poor internet connectivity.

Nice quiet hotel

It was easy to find from the train station and a 10-minute walk. Everything was pretty close by but the hotel is outside the busier shopping/restaurant areas. Staff was friendly and room was nice, if a bit cramped. It's very good value.

great location, helpful staff

This is a very cute hotel with clean, comfortable rooms. The staff were very helpful with directions and activity suggestions. A comfortable 30 minute walk from the hotel got us started on a beautiful hike the first day. My only complaint was that after two days of strenuous hiking I would have enjoyed a hot bath, but the small bathroom offered only a shower.

Great service

Hotel is located in a 5-minute walk from the railway station, frow where you can go to Zugspitze. The staff is very nice, explain anything you need, can show you anything you are looking for on the map. The breakfast is really nice. The room was also clean and very cosy.

Nice place tostay

We had 2 couples on the trip and the other couple got a room that was unacceptable. They were moved to a different room. The rooms were clean and the service and breakfast were great. Location was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. All in all, an ok place to stay.

Bavaria

The hotel was lovely in every way-- exactly what we were hoping for. The one frustration was the difficulty in locating it. I was given good directions from the gentleman in the DB office at the train station, but we became confused and asked for further directions just one block from the hotel and they sent us back to the train station a turn at the flower shop, which led us to the street we thought we were looking for but it ended too soon and we walked up and down the street that seemed to be the correct one, but there was a difference. The street intersected with a busier through traffic street and then disappeared for a few blocks. We asked numerous people for help and they were always accomodating. One used his phone to show us a map. (I had printed one from the net, but it was not detailed enough). A young boy took me back to "his father" who looked it up on mapsearch and printed off a map for me and we finally found it Advice: As you leave the train station, go left to the bottom of the slight hill, to a traffic circle, then turn right and will see the street shortly also going to the left. It is so worth the effort to find it.

This place was a great little inn. Exactly what you would hope to find in a Bavarian ski town. The rooms were large, the staff/owners were very friendly and the location was great, easy walking distance to the central shopping area in Garmisch. I would definitely stay there again.

queit location, comfortable bed and bed covers

Very nice, very quiet, in fact completely quiet. For the first time in Germany I found that the duvet was actually a normal one, not one of these thick fluffy duvets that bring you to boiling temperature, but a normal thickness one, that is just right. Bed was comfortable (not the usual hard experience).
