Staff was great but wasnt the cleanest hostel ive stayed in. If you wear your shoes the whole time i think youd be okay.

Nice hostel

Staff very friendly, the room has its own shower and toilet in it which i liked, kitchen and seating area was ample and the pool was nice. Great location!

Great value

We enjoyed our stay at Billabong. We don't usually stay at backpackers anymore and we had low expectations but then we were pleasantly surprised. Our private room was spacious with good shower, aircon/heating and a balcony. Lots of storage space. Pool is good, friendly service, cheap meals on site are backpacker friendly. Plenty of parking available on site at $8 per 24 hours. Easy access to parks, restaurants, CBD and a short uber ride to airport and other suburbs.

Great staff, room a little unclean

The place looked dated ,and needed some repairs . The room i stayed at was a private room with ensuite I could not have a shower as the shower head was broken ,

Good cheap stay but comfortable and close to town.

No Hot water and bathrooms were filthy.

I stayed in a mixed dorm, 6 bed with ensuite bathroom. It was filthy. Had no hot water at night or in the morning. I checked out early and lost my pre-payment. I wouldn't stay there even if it was free.

I like the double bedroom with a balcony and a bathroom. Overall is clean. Just the kitchen closed at 10pm not so suitable for "vampire"

Good

Great budget accommodation near the city!

The hostel was good, we were in a private room which was clean and very spacious. All rooms have ensuites and a balcony which is great. We had air con as well as a heater in the room. The $5 dinners each night are really good value for money, different meals each night. The pool area is always busy but maybe not the most social if you are new to the hostel, as many backpackers stay long term while working in Perth. It's also in a great area, 20min walk to the city centre and only 5-10min walk to northbridge which has loads of bars and restaurants. Also neat Hyde park which is great for a run.

Great stay in super-central CBD location

New and professionally designed Hotel in the very heart of CBD of Perth. Perfect base to explore. I was very happy to have a clean room, very new and well-designed facilities, a real & good mattress and wide beds (even in the 6 people dorm). Great overall experience

Good cheap place to stay close to city and Mt Lawley strip with cool bars and cafes/restaurants all along Beaufort st

A decent place for the price you pay for

I was quite shocked that the first room given to me had rubbish overflowing from the bin, with pieces of food and crumbs littered all over the floor. While I understand the cleanliness of the room largely depends on guests who I will be sharing the room with, but guests who are checking in would appreciate if the room is properly cleaned and the bed sheets folded, not in a crumpled mess. After letting the staff at the reception know about the dirty room, he informed me that the room will only be cleaned tomorrow morning, but agreed to let me change to another room when I requested. (Although the bed in the new room is still messy, but at least the room is clean. So thanks!) Guests who are planning to use the lockers provided in the room, make sure to bring your own lock. The lock should not be larger than 28mm, otherwise it will not fit. I was told that I can also buy a lock at the reception counter if I wish. The WiFi service was pretty slow and can sometimes get disconnected. After speaking with my roommate (who have stayed at Billabong for the past 3 weeks), he, too experienced the same problem. So make sure you have a reliable data plan before checking in! The free breakfast provided from 6AM to 10AM is nice. There's coffee, tea, milk, cornflakes, chocolate rice cereal, and muesli to choose from, along with toasts and a variety of jams and spreads. Appreciate the variety! Overall, it's a good experience staying at Billabong. Nice location, friendly staff.

ok for the price

first time to stay in a hostel....just for the fun of it. we are used to cruising with stewards or butlers so staying in a hostel is whole new experience. here you have to wash your own dishes and serve yourself during breakfast. we were a given a room for 2 with 2 bunk beds, so we have 2 extra beds....unlike other guests, we have our own bathroom for ourselves. in the kitchen, we saw young people saving money by cooking their dinners....most people here are backpackers! internet slow...too many young people using. Not bad at all for people who wants to save money

Standard hostel accommodation

Standard hostel - basic twin room with no frills, only complaint is that the room was really cold at night and there was just an oil heater that didn't do much and very thin duvet. Location OK - a little too far to walk into the city, but there is a bus stop outside or a free CAT 5 minutes away. Wifi only in the communal areas and very slow. Communal kitchen kept clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful.

Deluxe room was cheap, clean and more than adequate for my needs

Stayed in an 8 share girls room. All the facilities were quite good. Fairly noisy at night. Would stay there again though

Cheap but a bit too noisy

The hostel is meant for the more youthful individuals. There was a lot of activity going on! However, it was difficult to sleep at night with all the noise, loud music and partying people. The room is clean, nice and cheap!

Comfy pad near downtown

Just one night but was easy check in, great rooms, and walkable to downtown (our definition if walkable may be a bit further than others..was maybe 20 minutes).

Incredibly surprised at the cleanliness of the accommodation, including hallways and stairwell. A little dated and could do with a bit of an external tidy up but otherwise good place to stay, with fire place in the common room to keep warm on Sunday morning. No towels were provided but breakfast was. Wifi only in the common room.

Leuk hostel met mooi zwembad. Het was alleen jammer dat het zwembad vol lag met blaadjes. Borden, bestek en kommen is schaars, maar ontbijt is verder prima. Het is ongeveer een kwartier lopen naar het begin van het centrum

L'auberge est sympa. Ils proposent pleinsde prestations à prix. Le personnel n'est pas mauvais mais ils voient défilé une quantité de personne impressionante ils ne font donc pas réellement attention à vous. L'emplacement de l'au berge est pas mal. On a viteaccès à beaucoup de chose.

Gezellig hostel in perth

Gezellig hostel in Perth met zwembad. Een super chille give hangt er in dit hostel. Gratis ontbijt is toast met jam en havermout of andere cereal met melk. De kamers zijn aardige grote. Met 6 personen en balkon. Badkamer an suite. Deze word goed schoongehouden. Belangrijke dingen in de buurt zijn op loopafstand. Supermarkten 5 min en de city centre 15 min lopen. Minpunten zijn de vering in de matrassen en veel werkende mede hostelgenooten. Dit maakt het wat stiller tijdens de week.

Preiswertes Hotel zentral gelegen

Ein sehr nettes, hilfsbereites Personal, geräumige zweckmäßig eingerichtete Doppelzimmer mit einem Balkon, das Bad mit einem Mini-Waschbecken. Hinter dem Aufenthalts-/Speiseraum ein Hinterhof mit einem Swimmingpool. Eine große, gut ausgestattete Küche. Frühstück inkl. Die Sauberkeit der Tische im Speiseraum ließ leider zu wünschen übrig. Dies geht jedoch zur Last der Gäste, nicht des Personals. Entweder sind viele, überwiegend junge Gäste zu cool oder aber ich zu alt (wahrscheinlich beides).

reasonable price in good location for party people

this hostel is great for young people who like to party or travel alone and want to meet other travelers. the rooms and facilities are ok and the staff helps you. since perth is quite expensive its a cheaper option compared to a hotel room, however quite noisy in the night. so dont plan an early daytrip as we did ;)

Déçue

Auberge bonne ambiance avec une belle terrasse/piscine pour manger à l'extérieur. Locaux spacieux mais aucune salle de bain à l'extérieur des chambre mis à part un toilette au rez-de-chaussez. Pour ma part, j'ai logé dans une chambre ou le ménage n'avait pas été fait, les draps ne sentait pas le frais, aucune échelle au lit et vous avez vos couverts personnels que vous devez transporter à chaque repas. Si vous êtes de passages, c correct sinon vous pouvez trouver mieux

房客素質不好，半夜還有人在走廊大聲喧嘩，早上五六點也是，隔音不太好，房間內都能清楚聽到走廊上的人談話！

地點不便

價位還可以，基本早餐不錯，可在厨房做饭，但地點頗不便，只为提供車位才入住。花洒水流太慢，晚上泳池很吵

도착했을때 overbooking으로 객실을 업그레이드 해줘서 일박당 25달러 더블룸에서 묶을 수 있었다. 시티와 너무 가깝고 좋았는데 직원들이 친절하면서 무서웠다.

自由奔放なホステル

　若者や神経質でない人、英語に問題が無い方はいいでしょう。ただ寝るだけであれば問題がありません。貴重品はロッカーの鍵を用意して保管してください。朝食はコーンフレークやパンといったシンプルなものです。正直余り日本人には向かないかも。欧米人向けホステルです。
