Loved the wait staff

Staff was amazing. It’s quiet. Service was just amazing.

It's an ok place to stay.

It's a fair place to stay, but will likely look for someplace different next time in San Antonio. It's right on on highway, so lots of road noise and right next to trucker parking lots.

I thought the room was clean.and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Close to the River walk. Is why we stayed there.

it was just OK. Nothing spectacular. Either way, just OK. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but not terrible.

This is one of the very few properties that I have save the information for future use! From entering the front door to check out I have nothing to say but nice things. Rups was very informative and genuine. The room was already cooled down and not humid, all of the linens were clean and the room was spotless! Water was hot and the shower head has lots of settings. Body wash, face wash, shampoo AND conditioner are supplied. I did have a bit of an issue with the TV but I’m pretty sure it was just smarter than me, lol. Landscaping is a bit scarce but the area is in a severe drought so please do not let that deter you. I will definitely stay here again

The outside of the property looks good. The desk clerk was friendly. Entering the 3rd floor it was hot, stuffy and smelled musty. Our room smelled the same way. There were stains on the bedspread and one pillowcase. The room looked a bit worn with some deferred maintenance issues. We did not say anything to desk clerk because we were tired and just wanted to sleep. We did sleep well. With that said, I’d not stay here again unless the price was much lower (we paid $150). The place was a bit too worn out for my comfort level and price too high.

It’s very convenient freeway, but too much noises.

We stayed at this property for one night while passing through. The hotel was fine for that purpose, and I recommend it for travelers who are needing a bed for one night. Breakfast was good and AC was cold.

Staff was amazing, but the hotel has much room for improvement. Older, damp smelling lobby and rooms. More like an overpriced budget motel. Breakfast appeared decent, but I did not partake.

Slightly unhappy but enjoyed stay

The room appeared clean but hair was on toilet seat and in jacuzzi...I had a slight rash on my arm next morning...not sure what from... Personel were very friendly. Fast check in. Wish breakfast went longer...ended at 9:00.

Clean and Quiet

Staff was very friendly, and they actually make up your room when staying multiple nights, unlike a lot of other hotels since COVID. It was close to where we were visiting family in Converse, TX.

The staff was very accommodating. We asked for a couple of things, and they supplied what we needed~~immediately. Always cordial.

This was the absolute worst hotel I’ve stayed. Our first room was truly disgusting and the second room while better was still not as clean as it should be. The customer service was horrendous as well. I can see why this hotel is in the condition it is with the current management. She did not care about our poor experience and only did anything because she felt she had to do so. She was disrespectful and just made excuses for the terrible rooms or bad customer service.

Not the cleanest

The property was located close to our destination in San Antonio. However, Google did not take us directly to the property even though we entered the exact address, AND we had to do a 6 mile interstate loop to get back to the property. Probably just a glitch from Google that can be remedied. The breakfast at the property was well done with very attentive and kind staff helping at every turn. Room was full at the time we went, but everyone seemed to be getting what they needed, and fresh food was coming out regularly. This is one of those times when it appeared that people really care about how they do their job, and how it makes others feel. Great experience.

It took a while for front counter clerk to come up front when we arrived in the evening. While the lobby and halls are updated, the linens and wall plates are outdated. The pillows were horrible and my wife and I both had headaches and sore necks from them. The breakfast was actually very good.

They are always so accommodating! I was offered and accepted a full Thanksgiving Day plate of food from the front desk lady. I was so thankful. They really take care of their guests.

staff went the extra mile....

I left behind an important item upon checkout. I received a personal call to notify me of the list item. I was able to swing by and retrieve the item at the front desk. I appreciated the extra personal attention! thank you!

The breakfast was fresh and hot with a wide variety of choices. Great employees, we had a problem with the ac and called the front desk and within minutes they came and fixed it. We decided to stay an extra day and called the front desk and had no problem getting that done. Plenty of parking. Very good place to stay

I have never had such a terrible hotel experience. I am a 27 year old female, I checked into the hotel alone. At approximately 1 AM I heard a room key card UNLOCK my door. There was no knock or any announcement. I ask who is it? And they just immediately shut the door , stated “I’m sorry” and left. I had to call to the front desk myself and advise them of the incident, It was brushed off as just an error stating it was management. I asked why “management” didn’t explain the situation themselves instead of retreating. Staff advised they did not wish to disturb the other guest and planned on calling me in the morning to explain the incident. I was terrified and unable to sleep the rest of the night. I do not believe that hotel management would run away when confronted with the situation. I am not the type of person to usually leave a bad review but this was an extremely dangerous situation for everyone involved and was handled so poorly on their behalf. I will NEVER be staying at any Best Western again.

Friendly staff . Price was high for room

Clean, great staff, and I felt safe there. The pool was so nice after a long day driving. Fellow guests were seniors, truckers and nice families. I examined the bed and it was all perfectly clean with no bed bugs.

It was nice to stay even for one night. Everything looked clean. Only negative was the breakfast attendant, she wanted to talk to any & everybody. I couldn't eat in peace.

The front guy at the desk with the Mohawk was so welcoming and we liked how clean our room was.

This was unexpectedly clean, comfortable, quiet, and nice.

It was right next to Chili's which was awesome to walk across parking lot to get dinner with our kids. The lady doing the breakfast was called in short notice because the other person quit. I wish i coukd remenber her name because she was fabulous abd so sweet.

I think this a a good place to stay if you are working in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was clean but could use a nicer chair to relax in. The bed was comfy and I slept well. Breakfast was good but there wasn’t much out and guys were waiting around for food to come out. I would stay again though.

We had stayed here a week ago when we picked up our grandson. And was so impressed when it was time to bring him back we decided to book there again and it was awesome

Let me tell you this place was so clean reminded me of home. They did everything they could do to accommodate us and our grandson. I just would like to thank Best Western staff and we will see you in 2 weeks. We already booked the stay. Thanks again to the staff. And the breakfast was stocked and open . Love that

Convenient location, quiet rooms, helpful staff.

We checked in very late, but it was not an issue. Parking lot is well lit with cameras covering it all. Conveniently close to freeway, but rooms were quiet and dark. Breakfast was served early and was very good. Will stay again.

Awesome property and convince

Good price. Friendly staff. Clean room and linens. Had a really good Jamaican food truck in parking lot. Only down side is it isnt really close to anything (no convenience store or restaurants)

Upon arrival our experience with check in couldn't have been better. The front desk lady was so very kind. The room was very clean and the bed was oh so comfy!

Great Customer Service

Crom check in to check out the property staff especially the mgr and Belma were outstanding. The front desk staff gave us directions to the venue were our evening event was planned. The mgr got us milk at 11pm at night for my toddler. Belma at breakfast had about 12 people show up at 5 minutes to 9 and served us all with a smile. She chatted with everyone and made everyone feel welcome. It was a hreat stay.

great getaway hotel

The hotel room was clean and spacious. Single use items was wrapped sealed for hygienic reasons. customer service was excellent. Breakfast was a delight with lots of variety. I will certainly stay there again. My family and I enjoyed the stay.

I had a great stay here! The breakfast was good and hot with different options. There staff was also very kind and willing to help. The woman who checked us in was very nice and Check out was smooth as well. I also really liked the text updates as well. Overall, would definitely recommend and will probably end up staying there again myself!

I found a new hotel

Very very very satisfied with hotel. We visit San Antonio often and found new place to stay. I hope the Jamaican food truck stays there. You wont get a finer meal for the price in restaurant. It makes me want to drive 3 hours back to get dinner. I have no complaints for this hotel, and thats saying alot from me.very quiet, full breakfast. The fake eggs would be my only complaint but they are still good. Cant wait to go back

Had a room with sofa bed. Sofa bed was broke.

This place is conveniently located near a Pro Trailer Truck Stop. First time staying at this hotel, and it was nothing like the pictures, it is an older hotel. When we entered the room, it was hot AC was not turned on. The rooms were okay, but the bedsheet had stains on it. Hand soap dispenser was not working properly. The bathtub was slippery because of the puddle on water that doesn’t drain off. The location was a little out of the way with not much around it there are No restaurants in walking distance.

Nice Business Trip

Great! It was a business trip and had no problems.

Check in was great. I gave my name and was given my room keys. The soap wall dispenser for the sink and shower was not working. I typically carry bar soap with me when I travel to avoid these type of situations. My door would not always lock automatically. The Front desk instructed me to insert the key and open and close the door a couple of times to get the door to lock. I came back one afternoon and the door was unlocked; due to housekeeping accessing the room earlier. I usually didn't leave until 11:00 AM. On those days, housekeeping skipped my room. ALL motels/hotels restrict the thermostat. In the daytime, the temperature is comfortable. At night, it is non-negotiable at about 71 degrees. The entrance is actually behind the property. The entrance in front of the property is a parking lot/repair facility for 18 Wheelers. Although this review may sound negative, I enjoyed the property and plan to stay there again.

I just wish it was an easy way to get back to 1516 since it's right there and I'm trying to go 10 east. But that hasn't stop me from staying here several times. I like it for my 1 night stays. In and out and it has always been quiet.

The fixtures were aging and in need of maintenance. Front desk lady was very polite and fun to talk with.

It’s a good, safe hotel. The main frustration was with the TV that listed a large number of channels that we could not access. Other than that, everything was great.
