No keys

Got room keys went to 2nd floor keys didn't work. Reprogrammed, still didn't. Manager came up and opened with her key. Gave me another set which also didn't work. Had to be let in by family every time i walked out. Side door to parking lot doesn't close or lock so security isn't the best. However the gated parking area was a plus. Hallway floors dirty, ice machine broken. Breakfast ok but very little seating. Staff was friendly and tried to help with key issue until i gave up. I told them it was the door and not the keys.

Easy check-in and I appreciate it that the parking lot was behind a gate. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The area is close to a freeway exit and a couple of fast food spots, so if you’re looking more for a quiet place to stop over on your way somewhere else or you plan to be out most of the day anyway, this is a good spot for that. The pool was “closed for the season” which seemed weird since it was around 80 degrees out, but everything else was fine.

Close to the interstate

Within minutes of entering the room, my wife discovered that the sink was clogged. I reported it to the clerk downstairs who was nice and moved us to another room. The other room’s sink and tub was stopped up and holding water. It was horrible. The person downstairs informed the day I arrived that the maintenance wasn’t there.

I liked the fact that there was gated parking which made me feel safer. I also liked the fact that several fast food options and Waffle House were in walking distance.

This is the third year that we have stayed at this location for a week during the state basketball tournament. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that the gate was open the majority of the time. That security measure is one of the main reasons we stay at this hotel for the week. The breakfast, as always, was great. Other than the gate being open, the stay was perfect for this trip.

The staff was wonderful, very pleasant to interact with. The room was nice. The pillows were a little too soft but overall the stay was good.

We have stayed here several times through the years while working the dixie national rodeo. This time we could tell that there had been extensive renovation to the first floor, but the second floor needed renovation as well. The mattress literally sank to the bed supports when I laid on it.

The hotel was clean

The area is shady. The air freshener was so thick that I could tell it was trying to mask an odor. The bathtub should be updated. The tv wasn’t loud at all but we were called and told to cut it down. This hotel is not for a comfortable family stay.

Property was ok. There was a gate around it. Breakfast had very few items available.

The overall stay was great! Breakfast was good. Our room was large & very clean. It smelled really good too. Only weird thing was there were several (maybe 10-15) large lamps sitting at the end of the hall... looked like storage area/ room right outside room door. The front desk lady that evening was super funny and provided great customer service. Thanks!

Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was as pictured, and looked to be recently upgraded. Very clean!

Had ok stay for a quick visit with the family.

Appeared to be newly renovated. Enjoyed my stay. I feel like this hotel is at the top of its price range. And to add…the shower head had more pressure than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

The young lady that checked me in was amazing. She was a younger African American girl with glasses. She was friendly, had a wonderful smile. She was knowledgeable about the area. The check process was easy. She made me feel welcome.

We booked 3 rooms through Expedia and upon arrival were told they didn’t have 3 rooms available and the front desk clerk was being extremely rude. We showed her our reservation email and all. It took a call from an Expedia agent to get our rooms. The hotel itself was great; but never again.

Acceptable for downtown.

A lovely lobby, nice variety at breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Very friendly staff!! Gated parking lot, that made us a little nervous.

We were told after checking in that there was no hot water, but it would be fixed. Staff has be excuses repeatedly during our 3 day stay. The hot water was never fixed. We were told they would give a refund of a portion of the bill and no refund was issued.

I did not like the fact that for over 7 days I had no hot water. I was told by the front desk staff that they were working to resolve the issue and that there were delays with a part shipped through FedEx. Later in the weak, I was told that Management was working diligently to resolve the issue. At the end of my stay, I was told by the front desk staff that, " since I knew that there was not hot water, I should have moved to another hotel. They told me that they would not give me any refunds, nor would they compensate me in any way for the inconvenience." I had to take a shower the best I could with no hot water for over 7 days. I asked for management to contact me throughout my stay. I never received a call nor any apology from management nor the front desk staff. They acted like it was my fault. I am still waiting on an apology from management or some form of compensation. To me, it was a breach of contract. I did not receive the services that I paid for.

No hot water

There was no hot water. When I checked in, the lady at the front desk told me it was going in and out and they were working on it. They didn’t get it fixed, and it was not going in and out. There never was any the whole night nor the next morning.

Me and my family was stuck in the elevator for about an hour. The fire department was needed to pull me and my family out of the elevator. My wife leg was cut while being pulled out of the elevator The elevator call button did not work and no one would answer the phone when we called the front desk with our cell phone. The fire alarm kept churping in the first room assigned to us.The water came out brown in the sink and shower in both rooms assigned to us. I am still awaiting my refund.

Irresponsible staff runs the hotel. Last time they gave me a room, when I entered into the room I saw still room is occupied by earlier guest. Very unpleasant situation faced due to bad management.

Insatisfaisant, nous hébergions qu'une nuité heureusement ! Salle de bain inondée d'eau, par la douche qui envoit des jets de tous côtés, le fond du bain coule et la toilette coule beaucoup (fuite continu + jet d'eau sort du tuyau à chaque chasse d'eau) ! Bref notre linge propre à remettre après la douche fut tout trempé. J'ai avisé la dame à l'accueil qui fut très indifférente du problème. J'ai voulu faire sécher notre linge, c'est 2.50$ la sécheuse, mais l'hotel ne tient pas même de change pour notre 5$ ! Donc on repart avec du linge mouillé 😔. Pour le déjeuner, le café vanille française est de l'eau chaude, le jus d'orange est de l'eau à saveur d'orange et le yogourt est un liquide de lait caillé. Le reste du déjeuner est bon mais à 8h30 il manque des oeufs, la staff répond qu'elle n'en refera pas cuire puisque ça ferme à 9h. La femme de ménage est venu cogner 2 fois entre 8h30 et 9h30 pour vérifier si on quittait, alors qu'on a jusqu'à 11h. On a quitté à 10h ! Le stationnement est sécuritaire.

Will not let you check in after a certain time due to booking with a 3rd Party Company. Front desk Lady was horrible and rude.

I enjoyed my stay. I stayed one night and was so comfortable there, I decided to stay another night. It was clean, it is gated, so I felt safe about my vehicle, and all the staff was extremely helpful and nice!

Parking lot is gated, which helps. The air conditioner made a high pitched cricket-like noise the entire night and I couldn’t sleep. The sink was stopped up. The toilet/bathroom smelled like sewage and water was murky. Door bolt didn’t work. The microwave didn’t work and had food from previous guests in it. Overall, bad experience. Pay an extra $20 a night and stay in a better hotel. Staff was very nice though.

Parking

The hotel itself is fine. The front area and my room were very clean and welcoming. The breakfast is OK. The lady running it today did a great job of making sure the food was hot and fresh. I would of liked some other options of fruit and muffins, but that is me. There are not many places to eat right around the hotel and it is not in the greatest, safest area of town. My room was very comfortable with a nice big bed and a couch and chair to sit in after a long day at work. the TV channel options are too few for my taste. With all the above stated, I would stay there again.

I found black mold in the bathroom of the room I was staying in and when I told the manager Ken, he was very unpleasant and jumped to "I'm confused, what are you looking for?" with no sympathy what so ever. Lack of cleanliness AND customer service. Not worth a dime.

Stay from Hell

The first room they gave me, someone else was already staying in there. The next room had not been cleaned yet, finally the 3rd room was ok. The next day i go to my sons college graduation, and when we returned our things were taken out of our room. We were told that they thought it was someone elses things, because the lady that checked us in did not assign the room to me in the system. The assistant manager, manager, and owners were no help, and thought it was funny. When we did get our belongings, we can tell that someone had went through our things, because items were missing, and things were not packed the way we had packed them. The police were called out to the hotel, and reports were filled out. Every employee was so unprofessional. Also, we could see that thus was a hotel where people lived, and not a place for travel. I would not recommend thus place to anyone

I liked this hotel

As I pulled into the Best Western on Friday all I knew was that we were tired and ready to go to bed. I had already paid ahead of time so everything should have went smooth sailing. I asked about a luggage cart and was only told that I had to pull around to the other side of what I couldn’t tell you. She was a person of few words. So needless to say, we had to carry our own luggage upstairs when walking into the room, things appear clean and in place while checking to ensure that the beds were both bedbug free. I was met with dried urine on the linen being as late as it was we shipped our own beds and I looked around for a phone to call downstairs couldn’t find one finally found one in the bathroom and that was out of order so we had to walk downstairs to ask again for clean linen, the girls seem bothered and her only response to asking for that was what size bed we have we told her queen we were handed two flats and two fitted sheets so I guess we had to fix her own bed following morning when I went downstairs to get breakfast, the staff was already loudly down there discussing the night before his events and when I asked, was there any more food coming out another employee asked what time does breakfast end at nine she was eating hashbrowns went upstairs with the food. I was going to use the microwave. My face was molded muffins. The only thing about it from College I wasn’t looking for a five or a four star hotel, just a clean and friendly place to rest.

Spacious room

Breakfast was amazing but chicken needs to be included instead of three pork items. Room is very good, best for new born. Blanket was not clean. Great shower and restroom.

The staff was really nice

Jacksonville isn’t a good area but this hotel has a gate around the parking lot to give extra safety to your vehicle. The rooms seem to be newly remodeled and are extremely nice. The outside was under construction due to a remodel. The lady at night was just meh but the lady in the morning was a delight. We’d stay again if ever in the area. The room was better than the Hampton which is one of my favorites!

Overall, the hotel was nice for what we needed. Our refrigerator didn’t work, and it took them 4 days to replace it with one that did. They are upgrading some of the rooms so there was a lot of stuff in the halls. The breakfast was great every morning!

I've been to Best Western Plus before and i had another great experience there again, the beds are so comfortable and the room and bathroom were so clean, i will be coming back again

Family trip

The toliet was not clean it had black mold in it. The bed you can tell it was old it hurt my back. The service was excellent. The only other bad thing was in the hall way where the rooms were smelt like straight Marijuana.

Our room was clean but had a musty, moldy smell. Bed was comfortable enough. Bedding appeared to be clean but didnt smell nice and fresh, nor did towels. Not a terrible stay but would prefer somewhere that feels and smells fresh.

Convenient and safe with very friendly staff.

couches are very old, sagging, and looks dirty. seat cover did not fit the cushion. carpet floor had stains. coffee maker was not working. phone was not working. we had to transfer to another room. breakfast was a lot better than other motels we stayed in, but, there was no available bowls for the flakes and waffle was chewy. very friendly cook and accommodating.

The service was good, but the fold out bed in my room was filthy and unusable.

Outdated furniture in the sitting area not so clean. No working ice machine, dirty elevator. Awesome some staff, very helpful and friendly. The carpet in our rooms was visible dirty need to be replaced ASAP!! Need to incorporate Happy hour examples free popcorn, appetizers soft drinks.

This was pretty bad. Check-in staff member was on a personal phone call the entire time we were checking in. Then, not kidding, we went upstairs and there was someone already occupying the room we were booked into. After we finally got another room, the bedside lamp in the room made this insanely annoying high pitch ringing like a mosquito, so had to keep it off the whole time. Next morning, said a passing "hello" to a maid, and received a silent glare in return. Couldn't find a single staff member to ask a question about the breakfast the next morning. I'd recommend staying here ONLY if you're on a budget, and even then, there are equally affordable options in the same area, so be warned.

The breakfast only meat they served was pork, the staff was sorry every last front desk person was always sitting around you had to make them get up and come assist. One staff dark skin woman had a bonnet and head scarf on.

It was great to just run in at 11:30 pm to sleep and hit the road again.

There was no one at the desk to check us in for at least 15 minutes. The person had taken their break and no one was on duty. There was no hot breakfast.

It was a much better experience than I imagined! Miriam and the rest of the hotel staff were wonderful. Very helpful and happy people. The room we were given was spacious, clean, and beyond comfortable!

It was not the best stay for the price but the location was perfect for the event that we attended. Additionally, I’ve had to call the hotel in reference to more charges attempted on my debit card that they seemingly were unaware of. So, were those charges placed by your firm?
