The hotel looks quite new and therefore was clean and modern inside. the staff were very friendly and chatty. On arrival, we initially drove past it as it’s on an industrial estate and the lighting in the area is poor. The Best Western sign could be bigger and illuminated to give better visibility at the car park entrance. But other than that, it’s a great hotel.

Book this hotel on my way after the hotel in a nearby town had air conditioning issues and by the time I arrived they told me they had no WiFi. I had a meeting and needed a WiFi. I haven’t checked in and of course having booked minutes before my arrival, according to France law, the 24 hour cancellation policy does not apply here. Asked for a refund and they said no. Be aware of this Hotel and I don’t know how Best Western loan their name to this.

Nice and simple slightly out of town hotel. Comfortable and very clean. Staff nice. Supermarket very close with take away options if needed.

Not the experience we have hope for our stay.

The internet connection was terrible in the rooms. I had to go down to the lobby and even there is was still really very slow. Both me and my wife had the same issue on a mac as well as on a pc.

Room smells and the pillows smell bad too. AC wasn’t on and it was so hot to sleep. There was no shampoo in the bathroom and it took them over an hour so I had to go to the front desk to get it.

Dirty disappointment

Wouldn't return - Rooms aren't fresh and when windows are opened it lets in the cigarette air from the patrons constantly smoking near the entrance. They provide one towel and hide the other in a drawer which I didnt find until I read another review. Ridiculous. We were welcomed to breakfast however upon checkout were told it was an additional charge.. oh and there was a half eaten cookie on display, on top of all the others. Grim. The rooms had a light brown carpet, until you look at the corners of the room and realise the carpet should actually be a silver grey. Gross! Toilet brush covered in dirt... Lamps covered in dust.. just really unpleasant and dirty.

This was a clean comfortable place to reside at for 2 nights. I enjoyed my stay there with my friend. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Didn’t seem like a four-star hotel. Towels were missing from room. WiFi took ages to work and the separate loo had no wash basin, so you have to walk into bathroom to wash hands. Hairdryer was difficult to use. Not great especially at nighttime. Plus it was quite expensive and prices seemed much cheaper next month.

Mixed experience, would have been very negative if it wasn't for Hamisse on reception who was always smiling, helpful and understanding, so a big thank you to him. It just felt like "computer says no" the whole time.. no way they could find anything to eat for my 2yr old early evening, fair enough, was told we had to wait until 7pm when the restaurant would open.. ok.. so we did.. went to the restaurant at 7pm just to be told it was full tonight and we were told to find somewhere else. Went to reception and Hamisse kindly made a call and got us a table immediately.. there were so many free tables the entire time we were there, I don't understand why we were turned away. By the time we got both children to bed and set up the monitors it was just past 9pm, and we were told the cooks stop at 9pm (despite a massive table having only just been seated..) and there was no way they could get us anything to eat at all, and we were told to find somewhere else.. (not sure how they thought that would work with 2 children sleeping in the room). Back to Hamisse who kindly suggested deliveroo. Also very disappointing that the "seasonal" pool still wasn't open on a hot June summer's day.. (but that disappointment is completely our fault for not reading the small print.. but come on, June!!) The room was clean and a good size, and they had airport trolleys for luggage which was useful.

The room was clean. The breakfast service was horrible . We felt that We were not appreciated. The restaurant food was terrible . We complained when we received burnt French fries. The cook then sent out oily fries. It was not a good experience especially since we were hungry.

Nice hotel, but don't bother with the breakfast

It was perfectly fine for an overnight stay en route through France. We picked it because it has a Tesla destination charger. The room was big and clean and the bed was comfortable. The bar area is nice and they have a small, but decent selection of good spirits (that they keep in a special glass case?). The restaurant was surprisingly good for dinner, and the staff serving were really excellent. The only thing that let this down was the absolutely terrible breakfast. It's massively overpriced (€16 each!) for some poor quality plastic croissants, and half cooked cold sausages and cold bacon. I'd stay here again, but I'll definitely not bother with the rubbish breakfast again.

Poor customer information

Good hotel , comfortable beds, big room, good shower room. Quiet. They need to give more information. We had our dog with us and when we went down to the restaurant we were told they didn’t accept dogs in the restaurant and the terrace was fully booked. Why didn’t they tell us that when we booked? I even rang the hotel and asked them about bringing our dog, as their website says they don’t accept pets, so why not tell us then? We ordered room service which was ok, although very expensive for what it was. The information booklet says you can order breakfast in your room so we put the order card outside, on the doorknob, as advised. We wanted To have breakfast at 8, but by 8.30 nothing had arrived. On ringing reception (room service never answered the phone) we were told they don’t do breakfast in the room any more. You have to go and collect a breakfast bag. Again, why not tell us this on arrival, and why have wrong information in the room? It wouldn’t be difficult to put up to date information in each room, surely? This Covid 19 situation has been going on for four months! So we left without breakfast and very fed up.

Very nice hotel with large comfortable room. Limited menu at the restaurant and a little pricey but the food was delicious. Unfortunately the pool was not open due to Covid 19 but the hotel had already informed us about this prior to our arrival. Overall very good.

Good stopover hotel - blocked shower issue

An overflowing shower the result of a hair-blocked plug hole! Not good cleaning regime and an unpleasant clearing job required!! Otherwise all good...

Restaurant very poor hotel room excellant

We were on a biking tour through Europe and had 48 hours in Metz to ride along the river mouselle The hotel itself was very good and the staff were very helpful . We ate in the restaurant both nights as it was a public holiday and there was very little choice . The first night the food was OK but the service was not good . The second night we both has an entrecote steak which was on the specials list . it was un edible and we would not have fed it to our dog .

Used the hotel as a stopover on return to the U.K. Very convenient as it is just off the toll road and not necessary to go into the town. The young waitress was very patient with me as she did not understand me as I tend to speak quickly and do not speak French. She is a credit to this hotel and I believe she has only just left school.

The hotel was very good. There was a staffing problem in the dining room at dinner. The manager adjusted the bill in order to atone for it. We were happy with our stay.

OK for Business

Ok for a business trip, menu very limited.

The staff was very helpful. The receptionist actually drove me to a near by location at 11pm after her shift. Couldn't get a taxi for over an hour. Very sweet and kind of her. Will always remember her and will be forever grateful to her.

Business hotel

A very good hotel in a business-like district. Good for a stop-over but not for sight-seeing. You'll need a good navigator to find it!

Great family room

Double bed, 2 singles, loads of room and really quiet. Fabulous staff in the restaurant which really made the stay a treat for us all.

Difficult location to find , not a 4 star in my opinion ( more a 3*). Room well appointed and good bathroom . Staff not very welcoming , poor bar / common area , over priced restaurant with little International choice.

Very American-like

Stayed four nights. Rooms were clean, quiet, staff speaks English and very accommodating. I scheduled this hotel in a crunch for time because our other hotel closed. You won't find any French ambiance but if you like American hotels, you'll feel right at home here. The restaurant however was a very big disappointment and I rarely complain about food. The menu was quite small, and had odd things like lard instead of butter for bread, pork knuckles, ham hocks, gizzards and chicken livers for the chicken stuffing. We were unable to find any entrée that was suitable and only one or two people spoke some English. The menu seemed more suitable to Asian tastes but on the positive note, the plate was decorated like fine art as is so popular in Europe.

Good hotel but far from center. Not the hotel you want if you want to be close to town.

Newly refurbished, good stopping off point.

Location is on an edge of town business park so easy to access, lots of parking, not much around in the immediate vicinity but we were only stopping en route to Como. We ended up having to book a suite as that was the only room available. Room was a very good size, newly refurbished, had a nespresso machine and kettle etc. The steak was better than the fish on the set menu in the evening. Breakfast wasn't bad, seemed to be some confusion as to when it was available but they let us eat anyway and found us a decent plate of croissants etc as well even though they had cleared those away already.

Typical low quality given price

Spent only one night, experienced a warm welcome and warm Au revoir. Nice at reception, but staff are not staying at the desk! The young boy @ thebreakfast is a very nice one, very friendly, flexible. However the coffee machine is a disaster very dirty! Tables are not comfortable.

Nice, large room let down by the filth

The room was a bit unclean, dusty furniture and a bottle cap in the WC, but the hallway was downright gross. Otherwise very friendly staff and a great large room. Maybe it was a bit of an off evening, and other times it would be cleaner. I'd be willing to try again next time in the area. This is probably the best hotel bet for near Georgia Tech Lorraine campus.

Quiet location

Air conditioning was not working in our room. Their solution was a tiny fan. The second day my husband insisted we change rooms. This could have been done initially. Pants that were dry cleaned were not ready on time.

Nice hotel near motorway

Comfortable and clean, restaurant ok, convenient for the motorway for an overnight stay in transit. Not sure if I'd stay there if I actually wanted to visit Metz. Non descript surroundings..

Upscale, modern and quiet business hotel for a Sun

Chose this city, Metz, in relation to the distance I drove that day (350k) and reserved a room at this hotel for its location, ease of accessibility, and likelihood that it would have modern amenities.

We often stay in this hotel when we are passing through the area. The rooms are pleasant, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the price is reasonable.

Decent hotel, you'll need a car to get around

Clean and comfortable. Room was spacious. In the heart of the Technopole area, 5minutes by car to the Expo center, a good 15 minutes to the historical center of town. Breakfast prices exorbitant. Bed very firm, pillows generous. Bathrobe in room, separate room for shower/toilet. Could not get access to the exercise room and had trouble with wireless log in . A decent hotel but no worth the higher price, except for business travelers.

Quiet overnight stay.

Good, quiet overnight stay. Easy to get to/find, plenty of parking. Nice quiet room, although the wifi didnt work very well in the room I was in.

Fair hotel, but not a BW plus worthy.

Nice hotel along the outer skirts of Metz. Easy reachable from the highways. Room very clean and large. Staff friendly and there for you. Breakfast good choice of foods. Wifi difficult, renew connection every two minutes and lan line not working in room for laptop, making working online not really possible! Shower did not warm up enough, luke warm water! Because of these two points, won't stay there again.

PET FRIENDLY ACTUALLY NOT!

So called pet friendly but could not have our dog with us at a meal. So the location means it is difficult, especially in an unfamiliar place to eat out. Must be room service.... Uninteresting menu at silly prices. We had some chicken, which was very poor with a bottle of indifferent wine served by an indifferent person. We absolutely did not enjoy the meal or the wine and had the pleasure of paying 115 euros for mediocre rubbish. Where we are now, in Bavaria we have just had a lovely meal with a very nice bottle of wine for 65 euros. Best Western Metz gets a thumbs down from us and I have to say it denigrates the brand.

We often stay in this hotel as an intermediate stop in a longer trip. The hotel is very good and the location doesn't matter for our purpose, but zou need a navigator to find it!

The location of the this hotel was perfect as it meant we were about 4 hours from Calais .The amenities had everything we needed and the staff were very helpful .The evening dinner menu was varied and met our requirements .

The Location isn't great for families, but the quality and condition of the hotel make it excellent for people just needing a good rest underway. (The location can be good for business people.)

Wifi problems drove me would

The staff was helpful and very kind. The man at the front helped us out by making a reservation for us in Holland when we couldn't get the Internet working and found us a room with the bathtub. And the harried young woman in the restaurant did her best. But the hotel was definitely not four stars. And a bit expensive.

A useful stop over place between Italy and France

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the grounds are a good size to excersice dogs, and the evening meal we had in the restaurant was superb.

Nice But Out Of The Way

This is probably a great hotel for business travellers who need to be close to one of the high tech companies in the area, but it is a long way out of the city center for tourists. There are very few restaurants or shops nearby, so you will end up taking a taxi or the bus into town for everything.The hotel itself is modern and clean. There is a golf course next door.

Lovely hotel

The hotel is modern with large rooms. It had building works going on when we stayed, but it did not cause any disruption. When finished it would be a lovely hotel. Nice friendly staff and delicious food (pricey, but really nice) Only down side is the location in a business park, with no amenities near by

Under Construction but still nice

We arrived late and left early due to travel plans but overall the accommodations were nice. The hotel was under construction but our room was completely updated and very nice. We did have trouble working the room temperature (it was too cold) but we probably could have asked if it was really uncomfortable. The pool did not look as nice in person as on the website. The food for dinner was very swanky but a little disappointing and therefore we felt it was a bit overpriced. Especially since the hotel is in a more business area and there didn't appear to be other options within walking distance.

Nice Except REALLY NOT AIR CONDITIONED

The hotel was fairly nice and the staff was very friendly. Room sizes were adequate and restaurant very good. However, the hotel is really not air conditioned....it is fairly cool in the lobby but the rooms just have some sort of central fan system. Upstairs rooms had to be at least 85F...felt like ovens on a day when outdoors was about 90F. Ground floor rooms marginally cool (they moved us to be helpful). they say in France there is a difference between air conditioning and climatizacion.... would be really good if HOTELS.COM would have made that distinction understood. (I am not sure any of the hotels in this area has true air conditioning.) Beware if you come here in the summer!

Séjour d'une nuit à Metz. Grande chambre spacieuse et bien équipée. Salle de bain pratique. Le couloir est séparé de la chambre par une deuxième porte se qui permet de dormir tranquille sans les bruits du couloir. Des bouteilles d'eau plate et gazeuse sont offertes. Restauration sur place possible le soir. Petit déjeuner varié.

Hôtel agréable et restaurant de qualité

Un séjour d’une nuit agréable. L’hôtel, proche d’un golf, est à une 15zaine de minutes en voiture du centre ville de Metz. À noter pour les propriétaires de véhicule électrique des bornes de qualité sur le parking de l’hôtel. Le restaurant mérite le détour avec la qualité des plats et un service soigné. Si vous voyagez avec un chien la salle de petit déjeuner n’est pas accessible avec votre animal mais vous pouvez allez dans la salle du restaurant.

Client régulier ; toujours satisfait de mon hôtel, particulièrement de son personnel Petit bémol : trop de messages reçus, en amont notamment ainsi qu'une préautorisation CB d'environ 160% de ma réservation alors que je suis un fidèle client depuis près de 5 ans ; j'ai même cru un moment qu'il s'agissait d'une fraude et j'ai failli faire opposition à ma carte bleue ; je vous laisse imaginer les désagréments que cela aurait pu engendrer

En enkelt overnatning på gennemrejse, så vi oplevede ikke ret meget af hotellet, men værelset og service var helt i top. Dog var selve området ikke det store at se.

Séjour mai 2024

Excellent séjour, comme d'habitude, dans cet établissement du 2 au 4 mai 2024. Calme, confort, service et restaurant au top. Seul petit bémol: la lenteur de la connexion wifi. Etablissement vivement recommandé, sachant que sa réputation n'est plus à faire (l'équipe de foot du stade rennais, et l'équipe féminine de hand de Metz étaient d'ailleurs présents)

Inacceptable

Sejour de 2 nuits, Travaux dans l hotel non signalé lors de la reservation avec du bruit de perceuses à 8h00. Chambre 133 bruyante avec un bruit de compresseur 3 fois par heure toute la nuit. Le lendemain, j ai fait part de mon mécontentement à la réception qui apres des excuses sans convictions n a pas proposé de solution pour la seconde nuit. Je ne m etends pas sur la bouteille d eau minérale qui a ete jetée apres la seconde nuit par le personnel de menage alors qu elle etait sur la table de nuit !
