Staff are very nice but facility is ran down, strong cigarette smell even in a non smoking room. The loud sound from the club in the roof top is very disturbing.
Nice and convenient
Inexpensive but nice. Close to port, airport, souk and national museum
Room came with a big living room
Good location.staff really helped us. Especially manager gave great advice and solution for problems.thanks everyone who helped us
Large living room with bedroom.
Horrible - avoid
Shabby old hotel - we had to change rooms on check in - we had decided to walk away but they would not refund so we would have lost a lot of money - upgraded us to Diplomatic suite which is a joke - furniture is mis matched and broken - everything is old and shabby - bathroom floods when you take shower - we had to have tech to help TV work - twice and still doesn’t - whole corridor smells of smoke - there are ‘night clubs’ in hotel which we did not know about and very loud music plays until 3/4am every night !! There are queues for lifts each night ! Staff are a mix of kind and embarrassed and those who simply don’t care We were very disappointed - we are lucky in that we were able to escape the hotel for many hours each day and simply slept there The worst hotel we have ever stayed in - horrible
Convenient location near to the airport (20 min drive), spacious room (I stayed in 5th floor 508- looks like a suit , easily 3 ppl can stay and noise was not a problem), offers reasonable amount of hot and cold food for breakfast ( different varieties), near to some of the places of attractions - corniche, souk Wasif .. furniture (sofa set in the was old and faded). spa treatment available (PH floor), taxi is around the corner and uber is easy to get from the hotel . Overall experience good ..specially for business travels and transit passengers .. it’s not a very fancy hotel but good value for money ..
Amazing staffs , welcoming people with a smile . specially Lovely professional. I enjoyed my stay there .
The hooting of cars all night
Size of the room is anbleavable and very clean but it's noisy for the horns of the cars
The staff are excellent, friendly and are ready to help with any information
Night club noise a big problem!
Room ok and location good. However, did not know there were 3 night clubs in the hotel and the noise (base sound) kept me awake during the period in which they operated (9:00pm-2:00am). Booked out of the hotel 6 nights early because of the noise and still waiting for the promised refund.
Terrible experience Drum beating all night Dance party to much noise till 2 AM in the morning. Could not sleep for a single minute Very uncomfortable Terrible experience
Froze in the room
Room 604 was very cold when I checked in around 5 PM. AC was at full blast with the temperature set at 14C which I set to 24C. Though I switched off the AC, the temperature did not increase even after more than 4 hours The technician came at 1 AM when I complained and could not fix the problem. He said since the AC was switched off the temperature would gradually increase. In fact, the room was still at 14C when I returned from meetings at 2 PM & checked out!
Easy early morning check-in. Helpful staff. Transport is available outside at hotel premises. Places of visit are available nearby. Comfortable room.
Room was clean and very spacious. Good location. Restaurants in the building Room service provided was great, timely.
We stayed on the 12th floor in a suite. The manager took over a room next to ours where he smoked hookah with the door open, he and his crew made lots of noise and regularly set off the fire alarm. I asked them to quiet down, but they were offended by the request and got even louder. The manager should party someplace else, he is a real jerk.
Very bad service
Room was good. Normal staff good. Rooms smell like smoke. Restaurant/Bar staff are terrible. Would not recommend due to rudeness of that staff and not being able to eat on premises, along with smoke
There are traces of being old already the smell of the room the doors of the toilet but its clean and nice i would still recommend it specially those who are looking for bar on the same hotel.
W Doha
Place is nice , casual and fiendly. Service was great house cleaning was good. A little bit antiquated on furnishings, could use a spruce up in that department. Access to Corniche and walking paths is very close, also to the old town Soque shopping areas.
It was very nice, very spacious room, good and gentle service. Nothing to change
Location was excellent for the price. Staff very friendly
This place is terrible, I had to ask everyday for wash towels I only received 2 throughout the whole stay. When I asked house service, the receptionist, room service and even the bell boy ( why would I even have to ask the bell boy for wash towels?) it was always they’re being washed. I’m guessing the towels were hand made since it took forever to receive. This was the most disappointing stay I’ve ever had.
Very close to Souq Waqif .
Room was good. Liked the upgrade and free shuttle to Airport. Breakfast should come free with Bed. Room lights are not enough.
Location is great to access attractions. Staff are very friendly & room was spacious. Cleaning was average and we kept asking to replace things when taken eg towels. Some towels had stains on them. You could hear children in other rooms so noise isolation isn’t great , & noise from outside .
Nuce Location and Room was clean. Bathroom not so clean
Very Nice!
A very good hotel.
A very good hotel near to all amenieties. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. The staff were very attentive. We were given an upgrade to a suite which was very kind of them.
Amazing
Amazing staff I come four times a year and always remember me and give warm welcome. Top floor have amazing Phillipino group Sounded stations recommend highly. Been coming for 3 years and look forward to next stay.
Quick Business trip to Doha
Very enjoyable stay. Friendly and efficient staff. Would stay there again
Regret going glad it was only 1 night
The room was so cold, I’ve never been to a hotel room that cold. After 1 night I got a sore throat and became ill. The shower gondition was poor. It was close to airport.
Great location and good prices as far as coffee and food in the hotel wasn't as happy with the service in the small cafe in the lobby, not good service
Great experience and highly recommended. I booked an executive suite and it was a blast.
excellent location and very good hotel and room. Staff at the lobby during check in should be more polite and helpful
Location ostensibly good, but much of the local area is a bit of a bomb-site, few good footpaths. About 15 minute walk to Souq Waqif. The hotel is looking a little tired, our bathroom floor tiling was beginning to crack. Decor is dated. Air con was fine, and pleasingly quiet. The neighborhood seems to attract people on noisy motorbikes, obviously not the hotel's fault. Overall value for money.
Good value
Great value hotel, excellent location , helpful and friendly staff
Good
Very good location only downside is good choices as I like plain non spicy food other than that no complaints
Excellent hotel for business as well as tourism. Friendly staff all over. Room service needs to attend to details, otherwise you will have a pleasant experience.
Nice for only a layover
Very convenies shuttel to airport 6 am but I did not had time to ate
Good hotel in great location
Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Allowed me to keep my room until 5pm as I was flying out in the evening. My room was a huge suite with separate lounge area. Organised shuttle bus to airport at no cost. Hotel is close to souq waqif, museum of Islamic art (well worth visiting) and pearl fountain.
Ahmed
I would like to thank everyone for the great service, Hotel is very good and i really recommend it for everyone, simply if I back to Doha I will choose the same hotel.
Too little hotel for the money and too noisy.
There's an electronics box in the bedroom that goes in clicking fits for hours at a time. Who puts in a source of noise in a sleeping room--in a sleeping establishment? I waited for the morning to leave because the noise and lack of sleep drained me out. Also, this is the first hotel of this price range that I stay in that doesn't have tissue paper or cotton slippers. It was a terrible experience all around.
Good choose
The room was very spacious, and not so expensive. The staff was nice.
Reasonable value for money, but service not the best
a medium range hotel
medium performing hotel, not in a class of rating!!
Great value
Hotel staff were very helpful. They gave us an upgrade on arrival, a late (6pm) checkout and an airport transfer, all complimentary. The only downside for us was that the pool wasn't working.
Nice hotel but very terrible staff
The hotel was in a good location if you drive, and taxis were readily available, the staff were very terrible especially room service and reception staff, every day for 3 days I had to ask for soap to have a shower, and it took 1 hour to arrive my room after repeated calls to the reception and room service, food was terrible and the staff behavior was despicable, the rooms were supposed to be cleaned every day, but my bathroom was not cleaned, and nothing was replenished in the room, It was not a pleasant experience for me
I will stay again. My only complaints are 1. I would have maybe made the living room area a little smaller and the bathroom a little larger, 2. When I called for room service at 0600\0700 it took a while to get someone on the phone and when they answered it sounded as though they had been sleeping, 3. the hamburger I ordered from room service was terrible!, 4. Need an ATM in the lobby.
Close to airport
No hot water on arrival , the problem didn’t get fix until next morning, water pressure low ,excellent personnel, couldn’t do enough to make sure that I was happy
Hotel and stay met expectations for an an international chain. Room and hotel clean. Quiet area and taxis very frequently passing hotel and easy to get.Staff were helpful, but just to mention the indifference of a receptionist and at bell boy desk when asked how to get to Souk Waqif, one pointed with his finger direction out of the hotel, and the receptionist said "behind the mosque" (which was opposite the hotel). This assistance we learnt was most unhelpful as the Souk was "not behind the mosque" but far, far behind the mosque. Passing behind the mosque we had to cross a busy road, go through an alley and come out to a road with shopping area, then walk past a car park, then cross another busy dual carriage way road and then finally reached the Souk. On the way we had to ask about half a dozen people how to get to the Souk. The hotel receptionist could have been helpful in drawing a diagram, etc as it was no way "behind the mosque" opposite the hotel!!
Basic accommodation
We needed a hotel to spend the night before our early morning overseas flight. This hotel came up on Expedia at less than $100. We are a family with an 8 year old. Our neighbors were jamming music at 1am. Why the front desk put young people next to us I don't know. I had to ring the front desk twice to tell them to send security to shut down the music or my next phone call was going to be to the police. The music died down after security finally showed up and banged on the door.
Average Hotel in Average Location
The hotel, although being relatively close to the Corniche and Souq Wakif is in an odd area with completely vacant high rise buildings surrounding it. We did not feel safe in the area surrounding of the hotel and the hotel staff were quite rude and untrustworthy.... making us wait for car transfers and a particular driver so they received a cash bonus on the side (not a great feeling getting into a car in an unfamiliar country when the driver slyly puts cash in the concierge's pocket). The room was spacious and was clean so all ok there however it was very noisy from the loud prayer ceremony directly across the road which happened several times a day. There are restaurants within the hotel however hotel staff do not seem to know anything about them and they don't accept cards. We were told mid meal and had to walk for half an hour to find an ATM in pitch black while my dinner got cold. Not a great quality for an apparent international hotel. Wouldn't bother returning, would recommend spending slightly more and staying somewhere closer to the CBD.
Close to souq waqif and MIA affordable good hotel
Good location for old town of Doha, to Corniche and MUseum of Islamic Arts. The suite i had was spacious and practical. Some reminisicience of qatari engineering, but nothin important. Price is affordable, they offer free airport shuttle too. The only major downside is there is no fully licensed bar in hotel.
Great stay, convenient location
I stay at this hotel whenever I am in Qatar. The staff are helpful and friendly, the location is close to the airport as well as many tourist destinations, my room is always clean and well stocked, and the price is quite reasonable.
Modern Hotel in a noisy area
The hotel is modern with nice furniture and a big flat screen tv. However, it is located across the street from a Mosque that loudly broadcasts its daily prayers fives times daily. The early morning prayer often woke us up and we are not Muslims. The last pryer at night would also disturb our sleep
Nice breakfast.
Nice property to stay in. Good breakfast, location and transportation was convenient. What I loved was the room :) Will stay again fo sure.
New property. Well Mai tained
Was there for business. The room was fairly spacious and the stay was comfortable.
Everything was fine except the shower was not clean and the water drained out VERY slowly..... seemed blocked.
Not a Plus
Rooms are loud and dirty. Breakfast starts too late for many travelers. Would not recommend this hotel!
Very nice hotel close to most places
Very nice hotel close to most places such as Souq Waqif, Islamic art museum, and the beach
Reasonable
First day of Ramadam. No restaurant all day. Food at night just. Forgot to say pool open different hours for men and women. Same as gym. No alcohol even in room. Did not have any tours available. left open bus brochures for hotel for who now have on desk for future travellers.
Very nice hotel and exquisite room
Very noce hotel room
Gift for my dad .
Wonderful hotel in the centre of the downtown Doha , I booked this for my father as he was retiring and needed a grand holiday just before retirement . Very old-school luxury: understated but beautiful. I had a very comfortable room, and slept wonderfully. The breakfast room was quiet and the food was super delicious . The location is superb, near everything to the famous Souq Waqif. I recommend this hotel to everyone .
Good location, close to waterfront, souk
Was upgraded to a suite, staff was pleasant. Booked primarily on cost value & location. Never used onsite restaurants. Loved being only a couple of minute walk from the waterfront and from the souk. Used hotel as a jumping off spot to visit with our son doing a study abroad program at Education City. Hotel appeared to have a little age on it, internet was very spotty but apparently that is an issue in a lot of Doha. Overall nice hotel, decent value for the price.
WORST HOTEL EVER
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. -Reception didn't have hotels.com reservation, and was told to wait and call hotels.com. After an hour managed to check in. -No towels in room when I came in. -Razor thin walls - could hear everything clearly from neighboring rooms -Kept AC off throughout stay but temperature didn't go above 20 C (in March!!) - turning heat didn't help -Bed creaked so much, you couldn't even switch sides without waking up your spouse. -Had to go to front desk twice to get approval to have free breakfast that was on my hotels.com booking -Supplies weren't topped off after first night Unorganized chaotic parking outside -Construction noises -And to top it all off, the staff has the worst attitude!!!!! It shouldn't be a best western "plus." Have stayed at 2-stars better than this.
Disappointed and a little but disgusting.
Arrived at the hotel to find they hadn't realised that we were a family and they hadn't made up the sofa bed. Asked for that to be done and then went out. Returned to find the sofa bed not made so asked again. Again they failed to do it. I opened the sofa bed myself and it was disgusting. There was blood on the incredibly thin and uncomfortable mattress and food and dirt all over the sofa bed. We asked to be moved and the request was granted but we ended up in a room with two very small double beds rather than a king size bed and a sofa bed. Had to accept this as it was very late and I could not force my son to sleep on a soda bed like the one in the first room. The bed issue was such a shame as almost everything else about the hotel was great.
Pretty,clean hotel.
The hotel was situated in a good place as attractions like the Corniche, souq, museums etc were only a 5-10 minute walk away. Great breakfast, very clean hotel, Beds could have been slightly bigger but were very comfortable. Nice sitting area attached with big bathroom. Only downside is that staff at front desk could have been more friendly rather than looking down their nose at you.
Great hotel, good location.
The telephone, TV and fridge wasn't working however when reported the staff were very quick to resolve it and offered us a late check out and complimentary shuttle to the airport. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. Located near the souk and Islamic art museum.
Good service
Very nice personal in reception and supernice breakfast
Under renovation
This hotel is under reno. So construction noise is unavoidable. Also dont go for 14th floor, just below a night club that will only shut down @ 2 in the morning. Couldnt sleep because of the music noise and the staff wouldn't help put me in a lower floor. Was a disaster night.
Average stay
The room was not ready when I moved in. No towels, no water etc. Breakfast spread was very average.
Need more care
Hotel doesn't provide you any TV channel you want. Remote controls are very old. Bathroom is too dirty. Parking lots is outside. I give this hotel 2 stars only.
Good
