Good for short trip

The overall condition of the property was a bit challenging, which made it hard to determine how clean the place actually is. The breakfast was unimpressive. It was obvious that staff work really hard to keep the place up and to accommodate guests. Hopefully management rewards their efforts.

It was fine

Second time we’ve stayed at this property within a 6 day period. The first time it was still a Best Western Plus. When we retuned this weekend it had just changed over to a Sonestra property. Both times the rooms were clean, but so require some updates. The floor lamp in our room was damaged and the bulb was hanging on via wires only. It’s a safety hazard so we reported it at checkout. The rooms are a sizable. Both times our rooms had desk & chair & a lounger. The bathroom is a good size. The hot water& shower pressure are great (4th floor) room. Breakfast is typical of a hotel at this level. Eggs, sausages, toast, pastries, cereal. NO GLUTEN FREE items. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a short drive to several eateries, Walmart, and shopping.

The staff was very pleasant.

Property is clean, room was spacious. Included microwave & dorm size refrigerator. Shower had excellent water pressure & was hot. There were some things in the room that showed wear & tear. (The lock was missing from bathroom door.) Staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok, but they do not have any gluten free safe options. A lot of hotels have boiled eggs, but this one doesn’t. Husband said his breakfast was pretty good. We are planning to stay there again on our way back to FL. Lots of dining options nearby (within 10 mi)

The room itself was just ok. Very clear that some remodeling had been done. The bathroom wasnt the cleanest. The place reeked of purple fabuloso. The front desk person was miserable. They also put a $50 hold for incidentals that takes days to come off. This isnt on the listing. I would spend the extra few dollars and stay at one of the other 4 properties that are right there.

Amazing experience, all the way through. Just an amazing stay in general.

The lobby is nice, but the rooms desperately need updating. Carpets were stained and felt dirty, didn’t want to walk barefoot. The shower tile was chipped and stained. The towels and bedding were cheap and scratchy.

Great hotel

We stayed a couple of nights and like the excellent front desk service and the hotel has 2 working elevators. The breakfast was ok with scrambled eggs, varieties of breads, and some fruits. What I didn’t like was the fact that the pool was murky green and had a sign sayin it was closed. Other than that, it’s a nice quiet area about 25 min from Ft Moore.

I recently stayed this hotel & unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. After the housekeeping staff cleaned my room, there was an overwhelming smell that resembled a wet, dirty dog. It was so strong that I nearly felt sick upon entering. I was surprised to learn that pets are allowed in the hotel, and I believe there should be better measures in place for cleaning pet-friendly rooms, such as using specialized vacuums to mitigate these odors. Additionally, I encountered a problem with the shower. The temperature knob would frequently fall to a dangerously high setting, making it difficult to use safely. I had to hold it in place for my daughter during her bath to prevent any chance of scalding. Overall, I expected a more pleasant stay given the hotel’s reputation. I hope they address these issues to enhance the experience for future guests.

Hurricane evacuation stay from Florida

Booked this room during a bad time with storm evacuation stress and in a hurry with overcrowded hotels so we had to use Hotels.com. This created issues with the fees for a pet stay. We booked 3 nights only stayed 2. When discussed with the property manager we settled on one free night and paying pet fees of $30 for 2 nights. We checked out 1 day early and that should have left 1 night on our bill. The final cost for our 2 night stay including fees taxes etc is costing $450.50. That equates to 225.25 per night for an advertised $ $141.00 a night room. This is just wrong overall and possibly borders on price gouging of displaced folks trying to escape a life threatening major storm. Between Hotels.com and Best Western Plus Columbus Ga. Both share the responsibility for this. The hotel made verbal promises that they did not keep. I’m confused at why this seems so difficult as major companies doing business. I just want to pay what is fair and what the verbal contract they suggested at the time of check in with a hotel assistant manager and a desk clerk. Please look at this and consider correcting a wrong and I will at that time complete the many surveys for satisfaction being sent.

The front desk clerk was very kind. The first room we were out in was dirty. Makeup on the bedding. Bathroom was damaged. The tub was taped together and pouring water. It wouldn't turn off. The second room we were put in smelled horrible and the air condition was not working. The third room we were put in was better.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Well maintained.

i booked this hotel while i visited with my boyfriend graduating from basic training in fort moore. the hotel itself is beautiful, but there were several nasty stains on the wall of the bathroom that appear to be feces, as well as the sink leaking and leaving water all over the floor which i will notify them of again when i check out. we did however like the pool and the option to eat breakfast for free. i would come back again, but maybe to a different room.

One night stay

The service was excellent and pleasant. The room extremely clean and comfortable.

The bathroom in our hotel was pretty dirty. Mold on the shower curtain and the mini fridge in the room did not close all the way. The carpet had weird stains on it, so did the walls.

Nice stay

We liked everything, except the curtains on the window were too long and didnt block out the lights from outside. Also the coffeemaker got stuck when we were trying to make coffee and we couldn't open it. I even asked the woman at the front desk for help and she couldn't get it open either.

This past sucks

Our room wasn’t cleaned unless we said something. We had to change our own bed and get clean towels. We need to leave a day early for emergency and they won’t refund one of stay.

Nice but a few minor flaws

The lobby was nice. Checkin was great. The room had a few items that I will remark about. The smell was of an older place. The shower had unappealing walls. The bottom of the bathroom door was well warped. The bathroom exhaust fan was noisy. The curtain did not close. The plumbing in the bathroom was below par, but the beds were great. We missed breakfast due to early surgery. But did get coffee in lobby. Room coffee maker not working per design. The hotel only had 1 ice maker on the 4 th floor that was operational. We were lucky enough to get the ground floor like we requested.

The two rooms were never cleaned.

Good place to stay

This is a nice affordable place. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. I just wasn't crazy about the bed but I like a nice firm bed. It was comfortable though.

Best Hotel Ever

I don’t usually do reviews but our stay warrants one. We stayed here on May 16, 2024, when we were in town to attend our son-in-laws OCS graduation at Ft. Moore. First I will start off with the front desk clerk Kristi, she was absolutely AMAZING, from our initial check in to me inquiring about the absolute pleasant smell inside the entire hotel. Her customer service was second to none, and then there was Shannon, and I couldn’t figure out if she was a manager or employee because she was doing it all and was so helpful with any and all questions that we had. Lastly this hotel was absolutely gorgeous and the top notch customer service added to that. There are so many restaurants and shopping all within a 2 miles of the hotel. It is an absolute must stay. We will stay here again and highly recommend.

Great place but the bathroom is outdated.

Needs more work

The room wasn’t clean to my standards also the bed board had scratches the bathroom had stained showers. The breakfast was phenomenal and the decor in lobby was also very nice that was the reason I stayed! The rooms need a make over! Thank you for listening.

Graduation ceremony

I was here for my nephew high school graduation (May 18, 2024), and this was my first time staying in this hotel, and I love it. I like how it looked when I pulled up to it. I like the breakfast, I just wish it was more of a selection though but overall I like the hotel and would recommend it.

The room photos can be a little deceptive and the pools a bit on the small side next to the parking lot but it’s pretty good overall and I’d stay here again

I came to Columbus for work and I enjoyed my stay at this location.

The room was quiet and comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly, welcoming and very helpful to meet all of my requests. Pillows need replacing and housekeeping could use some training.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel room had a few items that needed repaired. Towel shelf/rack fell off the wall during my shower. Repair had been previously made, but was insufficient to hold. Shower head had a hole behind it with tape covering the gap. Just seems out-dated especially with the popcorn ceiling. Also, towels need replaced. Very worn and discolored. Probably won’t stay again.

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Haven't stayed in Best Western for a long time due to usual quality. However this one exceeded my expectations. It could use a little better cleaning but as particular as I am, it was fine.

The hotel was clean, modern, roomy, and comfortable. All at an affordable rate.

Over it was good, only thing that really bothered me was the mini fridge. Dam thing was noisy.

Very nice stay, however somewhat unclean.

It was a very spacious suite and very nice. There were stains on a table and some on the couch. Not too sure if there was anyway they could clean that up. The bed was big and felt nice. However, our tv did not work. Thankfully we were only staying for one night so it did not matter too much. Room 213 is where its at!

Bathroom had quite a bit of mildew (room 119) and felt a bit dirty. Staff were INCREDIBLE and kind. Walls are thin--bring headphones! Large space inside rooms, very convenient location!

An ok visit

Lobby, business center and staff were nice but my room no, bathtub had mold and hair in it, all lamps were very rusty and very few outlets worked. Coffee pot was dirty. No bag in trash can. Toilet paper very thin and cheap. They only provide two towels that are on the smaller side so you’d have to ask for more. Bathroom door was chipped and broken all across the bottom and hard to close.

There was mold ( black in color)-lots of it in the bathroom. The room smelled like dog or cat poo. When asked to change rooms they said they were sold out. The phone didn't work. The rugs in the elevator were old and very dirty.

I was charged twice for this stay.

I was able to check in earlier than 3pm. Which helped me. I believe need to be cheaper because need remodel in the bathroom

I would not stay here again, dingy towels and sheets. Towels looked more like rags. Pillows were lumpy. My relatives also stayed in a separate room and they found a hyperdermic syringe in the bathroom light fixture! Only nice thing I can say is that the coffee in the lobby was good and friendly staff.

The hotel room had a strong smell of old carpet. The bedding was also dusty and a little dirty. Overall I was disappointed.

20 minutes away from Ft Moore. Staff were very warm and helpful. Breakfast was standard hotel; Well presented, tasty and generous. No laundry at this location.

Below expectation!

The beds were uncomfortable. There’s mildew in the shower. The master suite bedroom didn’t have a door for privacy. This location was over priced and under delivered. Staff was excellent though.o

The room was dirty. There was a nasty rag on the side of the bed. The bathroom door was broken and the walls and floor in the bathroom was filthy. The room was not cleaned daily we were told due to Covid rooms were only cleaned every three to four days. Clean linen and towels were not offered. We had to go to the front desk daily to request clean towels. We checked in on a Tuesday and checked out Friday during that time no clean linen was offered or put on the beds. We had to take our trash out daily. When we asked house keeping to clean our room she said no. She also denied us clean towels and told us to go to the front desk. The gentleman in the lobby was very rude and snobbish with answering questions. Overall our stay was horrible and would never recommend this property to family or friends. During breakfast there were very little options. The front of the entrance has a trash can which had a case of empty beer cans on it. Coming in one night there were shady people hanging in front of the property. This property had all the signs of a low budget motel. Need major improvements in many areas.

It was alright, breakfast could of been better, I loved the smell of the lobby when you walk in and the atmospheric. I did not like at all that I had a cockroach in my room!!!!! I almost had a heart attack!!!

This property is poorly kept m. First impressions are everything & the flower beds were full of weeds, the sign out front broken and parts were lying on the ground. The front desk staff were nice, but they were not professionally dressed. The room had mildew on the tile floors. The bathroom door looked like it had been made in someone’s backyard. It squeaked badly every time it was opened and closed. I asked the front desk to send someone to spray hinges with WD40. I don’t think they ever did. Some hotel rooms just give you a feeling that they are dirty and this one did. I stayed there 4 years ago right after it opened and it was wonderful. I am sorry to say it is no longer like that.

As soon as you walk in, it smells good. Everything was new and clean looking.

Awful experience

I was there for 3 nights and they never cleaned my room. I finally asked them and the front desk was not friendly at all. He said we had to request and when I checked in nobody said anything. Overall this is the worse hotel I ever stayed. I am traveling a lot and I do have lot of experience. When I checked in and I went to room it was not clean I found hair all over the shower and pillow cases had smell of body. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL

Not a Plus experience

Not what I expected from a Best Western Plus… shower floor was cracked and patched instead of replaced. Pillows were more like throw pillows instead of bed pillows. Outside door to first floor was broken and would not lock. Breakfast was so so.
