Comfortable, very quiet, good air conditioning
Great location, great staff
The rooms were a nice size and very clean. Loved being on the ground floor with a little garden area right outside our rooms. The staff was very friendly. The hand written personalized note along with an uplifting quote was such a nice gesture by your check-in staff. No complaints about our stay! I would definitely go back when visiting Lyon.
It's an ok hotel between Part-Dieu Station and the city centre. The room was small (nowhere practical to keep a small suitcase) and basically furnished without much by way of amenities; and the instant coffee and minibar were not restocked during my stay. I'd not complain if it was billed at three star, but four star seems a stretch of the imagination.
Perfectly located close to tram and metro stations
Good place to stay.
Good location, good breakfast, great bed.
A great hotel all-round!
From the check-in desk staff, right through to the housekeeping staff, all were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and modern and because we were so central, we were able to get around on foot. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel while exploring Lyon.
Really great hotel.
I had a lovely garden room, which was spacious and super comfortable. The staff were so lovely.
clean and quiet
Very good experience with the hotel. the staff at the front desk are super nice. The room was very clean, it comes with a fancy tower warmer system, looks brand new. The only downside is that it is not located in the busy tourist area, but it was very safe to walk at night. in fact, because it is still within the walking distance, we got the chance to cross the bridge every night to enjoy the beautiful river scenic view.!! Will definitely recommend it to others.
.
Very nice hotel. Simple. Good location for us. Excellent front desk late at night and at day. Wonderful treatment.
Very pleasant welcome, comfortable clean room albeit a bit small. Bed and pillows were just right. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Overall excellent and would come back!
Fantastic hotel in Lyon.
We stayed in a family suite, and it was great. The beds were very comfortable, nice sheets and pillows. It's the best we've slept in a hotel in a LONG time. The room was very nice and spacious. The location was also fantastic, just a short walk to the riverfront. Check in and out were a breeze. The only, very slight, criticism I can think of is that the WiFi would frequently kick a device off.
Despite arriving at 5 pm, our room was not ready. It was 6pm when we got into our room.
Good location, between railway station and old city center.
Everything was very nice room food and facilities and amenities
I like to shower and bathtub. The breakfast was fine. The location was good for seeing the city.
This hotel located near center of Lyon and it's walkable. And the room is quiet cozy and comfortable.
Very nice! Near to the city. Everything you need. Very nice breakfast😊
We have requested a maid service. No one came to clean the room and to replace the dirty towels
Nice hotel, conveniently placed in Lyon
We were here overnight when meeting some friends in Lyon. The room was small, but reasonably well equipped. We had enough space that we weren't running into each other. The hotel was nicer inside than it looked like from the outside, I think. I picked it in part because it was part way to the river, and indeed it's an easy walk (less than 10 minutes) to the riverfront where there are some very nice parks. The staff was friendly and helpful when ever we interacted. The WiFi worked well. No major complaints.
Good location, quite handly to everywhere. Nice and profesional staff.
Lovely find
Modern, clean hotel. 10 to 15 minutes walk to the old town. Friendly, helpful staff.
Loved it!
They cancel my reservation and I hav to pay they rate over there and they gav me the r
Good hotel in great position.
Great location near the station and Les Halles Paul Bocuse. A slight nuisance in having to log into the internet every time you opened your phone or ceased using it.
Hotel front of staff very friendly speak perfect in English and help with directions. Couldn’t thank them enough.
Great location that allows you to walk everywhere if you wanted to. There’s also a convenience store right next door. Staff is very friendly and they serve a good breakfast.
We enjoyed ourselves. We could walk to restaurants and the City .staff very helpful..
Location is very good, walking distance to train (14 minutes), tram (1 min) & Metro (4 miles mutes). But the Euros and A/C are of a different standard than USA so if it is summertime ask for a fan as it makes all the difference. Staff is nice & helpful.
Front office staff very friendly and accomodating.
airconditioning troubles
One of the warmest days of the year and a/c could not keep up. Otherwise fine.
Great little hotel but a bit of a trek from the station
The front staff were extremely helpful & professional. The location is a short walk to the train station unless you have heavy bags. The full service food market on corner was convenient. I would stay here again. Note however that the queen size room was not spacious. You might consider upgrading to larger room if you plan to stay longer than a few days
Big and clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Good location as it is between the main train station and city center.
20sqm / 215sq ft room? False. See picture of room
Being a business traveler, I work out of my hotel room about 8 hours a day. This is why I always look for a hotel with the largest room possible for my stay. While this hotel is very nice and was recently renovated, the superior room size in my case was 100% false. 85A I specifically chose this hotel & paid extra for a superior room, as it was advertised as 20sq meters/215sq feet. When I was provided the key to the room, I opened the door and was surprised to see the room was about 15sq meters. I approached the man that checked me in and showed him the hotels.com description of the room that showed the room size. He told me had no idea what square meters or square feet were. (Which is rather surprising for someone that works at a hotel... who has the job of checking people in for a room..) Regardless, I specified that I wanted the size of the room that I paid for and as advertised. He notified me that I had the largest size room. That there was not any bigger rooms and then walked away and dismissed me. I asked to speak with the manager and after being told to come back in 2 hours, I finally did. The manager told me that some rooms were bigger, some rooms were smaller and unfortunately there were no rooms in the size as advertised. Want to stay at a hotel that has no issue with providing a smaller room than advertised? Stay here.
The courtyard was pretty. The room was roomy and brand new. The staff was very polite and helpful
Interesting layout
The staff were great and the room was fine. The location to the station was good.
Holiday stop over
Poor internet fair air Con small comfortable room good breakfast.Overall great value for money
Lyon stay
It was fine except the air conditioning should have been stronger. It barely worked.
Comfortable hotel, close to a metro station. Staff friendly and helpful
Convenient location
Located within walking distance of Part Dieu train station and Vieux Lyon. Shopping mall and indoor food market nearby. Hotel had an adjoining restaurant which was packed when we arrived but nearly empty the rest of our stay. We never tried it, but there are many restaurants nearby. Hotel has a lift. Air conditioning did not meet the demand of July heat. Lobby was much cooler than our 4th floor room.
comfortable hotel
This hotel is close to many amenities, old historical district and shopping for tourists
City Break
Not a bad hotel for a city break in Lyon. Easily accessible to the old town & the train station which was great. Our room smelt of stale cigarettes which wasn't pleasant. The staff were so lovely though!
The bed was horrible
Nice hotel in Lyon
A convenient location not too far from the train station or the old town. Staff is nice and helpful, rooms are roomy and clean. I would probably stay there again. I didn't try the breakfast buffet, so nothing to say there.
Great clean Little Hotel
Staying with friends for a football trip , but wanted to see the sites of Lyon. Hotel position very good as arrived by train at Gare Part Dieu. Ideally situated for a healthy walk to the Old City etc. but also transport very nearby. All staff we dealt with were excellent in all ways.
Fantastic 2 Night Stay
We had a room on the ground floor with an entrance through the garden. It was spacious, clean and very quiet as it fronted the inner courtyard. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again. Only problem was parking as it is extremely tight. Another guest assisted me as I couldn't get the right angle to exit.
Good location walkable to everywhere
Good location walkable to everywhere. The city map providing from hotel that help us to find places and return back to hotel
Quiet room in a secure building. Great staff. 15 minute walk to the train station. Grocery store right around the corner. Easy walying distance to most attractions.
Rooms are small. Desk lamp did not work. Bathroom was dusty under the sink and tub was very slippery. Bathroom did not seem fully finished too (could see under the tub through a hole...). Given these comments a 139 euros per night is expense. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Good value for money. Well located
Well located. Clean but old. Parking in front of the hotel for free due to season which was very convenient
Poor A/C. Nice staff.
Air conditioning existed but didn't work very well. The coldest it got was probably 26C. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall an average experience.
Good, clean, close to everything
Helpful & friendly staff. Rooms (2) & bathrooms were both small but very clean. Beds very comfortable. Close your window at dusk or the room fills with mosquitoes. 15 minute walk (with packs) from the major train station (where you can take the airport shuttle train). Close to good restaurants. 20 min walk to old town.
A trip to Lyon
I thought the location was ideal, about half way between the station and the old town. Whilst also convienent for the bars at night. As for the actual hotel, it was pristine and I would absolutely recommend people visit Lyon and stay here.
Ok
So so
nice hotel
Nice hotel shame about the internet
Staff were very welcoming and check in was efficient . However as warned in other reviews , standard rooms are SMALL . The car park entrance and bays are also very tight and you do need to pre-book as three don't seem to be enough for the size of hotel . Location is good for touring Lyon but there aren't many restaurants in the vicinity ( and the hotels is more a cafe than restaurant ) . Main big bear was internet which kept dropping out or self transferring to " best western " rather than " BW Crequi" -effect eas same - no connection ; very frustrating especially as staff didn't recognise issue or how to improve it . By overall a pleasant 2 days .
Great stay
Great hotel. Friendly staff. Surprisingly spacious bathroom for size of rooms. Location is good if you don't mind an 8 min walk into the city centre.
Good hotel within easy reach of station and rivers
Good hotel nicely positioned between station and huge shopping area and both rivers Rhone and Soane. Very pleasant walks thru Presquile and old town. Hotel has had the rooms refurbished and are very clean and modern looking. Free wifi was a bit strange to set up but soon sorted by the very helpful Guilliemme on the front desk. Plenty of bars and restaurants for all tastes fairly local.
I chose hotel for its location
I thought it was very disappointing given its star rating. No bar and bathroom a bit skimpy. breakfast was also skimpy
A winner!
Awesome hotel! Beautifull surroundings, nice comfortable room. Nice restaurant. Smack in the center of walled Avignon. Walk everywhere. Definitely recommend.
Friendly hotel in Lyon
This is my favorite hotel in Lyon. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are large (enough), modern, and clean. When I stay in a hotel in France, I want to stay in a FRENCH hotel. So don't be fooled by the Best Western moniker, this is a quirky, fun, unique hotel run by people who are as warm and wonderful as the French can be when they want to!
Lyon stopover.
Great overnight stop close to the centre of Lyon. Friendly staff and very helpful.
Location between the Gare and the Rhone!
Not too far to wheel your luggage from Gare Part-Dieu, convenience store on next corner, Les Halles food markets in next street and about 1km to the Rhone and across to old Lyon. Convenient and well priced.
Quiet location but need updating!
We had to move rooms after our first night as our air conditioning wasn't working. Room is rather scruffy and the bedside tables are far too small and flimsy to be adequate. Paintwork was peeling in places and the route to the room through the dining room and up in a tiny lift was not pleasant. Overall - the hotel is expensive for the quality of the accommodation. We won't be staying here again!
By the Rhone!
This is a nice hotel and the staff is friendly. Would have rated it higher but the air conditioning didn't work at all in the first room we were given, and barely worked in the second room. The rooms were very clean and comfortable though. It also is near shopping and nice restaurants by the Rhone River.
good find.
This hotel was nice and clean. The staff were super friendly. Fridge perhaps needed to be looked at, not very cold.
very nice but small
it was fine but I wouldn't bring a car as the garage was tiny and scary
Stopover in Lyon
Once we negotiated the way to the hotel, we found it very good. Met our requirements easily. Nice room, very good breakfast. Pleasant staff on all contacts. Located reasonably close to the Rhone. One hint, if staying there on a holiday such as Easter Monday, it is difficult to find somewhere close to eat. Not the hotel's concern but just saying.
Great but no bar
Lack of a bar is the only negative
Great quite location
Great location with only a beautiful walk to eve everything....but parking is limited and tight!
Small well situated hotel
Hotel facilities are great, all clean and everything that you need to have a good sleep. What disappointed me was that someone that was not me, requested information regarding my reservation to the hotel. Not only the front desk confirmed my reservation but also checked in this person to my reservation. I would have thought that if I book though Expedia something the hotel would respect the guest name on the reservation.
Nice hotel
We stayed at Best Western only one night when we travelled through Lyon. The hotel is short walk from the river in a quiet neighbourhood. The room was clean and comfortable. The reception staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Lyon.
Good value
Good value hotel in a good location for acces to the riverand old town
Quaint hotel with very friendly staff
Spent a weekend in Lyon and felt we covered the areas of interest fairly well. Would recommend a city tour first to get the lay of the land.
Good location and good service
Very good location and staff helpful with documents.
well situated - safe parking - helpful staff
and comfy room + bed.
Enjoyable Experience - Watch the Car Park Though
The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk to both the old and new towns yet is in a relatively quiet neighborhood area. The staff were extremely friendly and the included refrigerator was an added bonus. The room was clean and comfortable - the only issue was since the day was warmer and the air conditioning was not yet available. To cool the room required opening windows - and the windows in the neighboring apartments were open as well causing more noise than appreciated for sleeping. We were able to use the parking facilities but note, cars must be relatively low to the ground and narrow to do so. It isn't that the parking spots are tight - it's the ingress and egress to the underground garage itself that is the problem. I would stay at this property again - as long as my rental car would fit into the garage.
average pricing, average condition
air conditioning out of order, absence of hair dryer
Very nice place
Very clean. Wonderful staff. Some walking needed to and from main station and metro lines.
Excellent location close to Part Dieu.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They checked us in even before the check-in time. They showed all the important places to visit and helped with restaurant reservations.
Bang for the buck
Overall decent hotel but find it far from tour sites, shopping. Its located at office area, rather quiet in the evening and tough to find restaurants cafes. I hv a car so not a huge concern. By foot 20 to 30min.
Good location just a 10 minute walk into Lyon
The stay in Lyon was great and this hotel was good for what you pay. The location was ok for both of us as we enjoy walking. The walk into the city was an easy stroll crossing over the Rhone on the way - wow!!
Was ok, but more 3 star hotel
It was more of a 3 star hotel to me. Bathroom is small with carpeting. Room smelled of smoke but at least they tried to freshen it up. Good price and easy access to trains and town.
Great value
This hotel was nice, clean, and had a great friendly staff. It is located between the train station and the main part of town. Not much going on right around the hotel, but a short walk of about 4 or 5 blocks in either direction puts you at a mall across from the train station, or in the opposite direction at the banks of the Rhone. Cross the river and you're at the main pedestrian mall where all the shopping and dining is. Recommend walking along Lafayette to get around. You are also right between the light rail so if you dont want to walk jump on.
Convenient l ocation. Good for a short stay.
Oversall good experiecne. Friendly staff. Rooms small and good for a very short stay.
our room
room too small and crowded to qualify as a double room, it was also cold fan heater in bathroom poor and radiator was not working in there. Other wise good value
Very very average
Friendly, helpful staff, but everything else about this hotel is tired. The rooms, the furniture....all very basic when new - I would guess some time in the 1990s - and looking and feeling quite dated. We stayed one night. Would not have stayed longer. Should add: though looking and feeling old, everything worked.
Fantastic Hotel, Exceptional Staff
Had a hugely enjoyable stay. Room was superb, hotel fantastic, staff exceptionally friendly & efficient. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lyon. 20 mins walk from SNCF station (or 5mins on tram); 3 mins walk to tram, to centre of Lyon & SNCF; 10 mins stroll to large shopping centre & food hall. Very quiet area at night (but short tram ride to nightlife).
great service
We had an issue with a toilet but they were very good about it and changed our room :-). Location was good it was in between the station and old town!
Best Western Ascot Milan
A very clean and comfortable hotel within walking distance from the town centre. Staff were always helpful.
Bad AC
If you're coming in the summer to Lyon, look for another hotel. The AC didn't work well at all. Comfortable room otherwise in a nice part of town. The price wasn't bad either.
Good location but a short walk from Central Lyon
The hotel location was in a great area, however it was a little bit of a walk if you plan on visiting Central Lyon (Hotel de Ville) or VIeux Lyon during your trip. It was very close to Les Halles, the indoor covered market as well as has a great bistro on the same block - Daniel et Denise.
Average and need
average everything. the pillows are old with lumps. convenient location and quiet. Nothing 4 star about the hotel, more like 3 star.
Enjoyable hotel stay
The only complaint about our room was, despite its perfect overall appearance, there was a disconcerting odor of mold in the bathroom.
good hotel
all that was wanted and required peaceful, exactly as desired and staff very helpful
Best Western Crequi Lyon Part Dieu | Hotel in Lyon | Travala.com
Decent sized room comfortable bed nice step in shower with a good draw liked the soap and shampoo.
