Room was clean and comfortable.
Only thing I found odd was lack of toothpaste and no mini fridge for water…
Great place to stay for a couple of nights in London and on a budget!
Poor breakfast option
Very disappointing breakfast selection
Could do more to ‘save the planet’
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Although it felt like it was under construction a bit! Lots of workmen around and banging. Staff though were very helpful and attentive. I was upgraded from a single room to a bigger room with four single beds. No phone in room. No plant-based milk but when I phoned they found me some for breakfast. Disposable cups in room and heating turned up too high. Standard message about leaving towels used on the floor to ‘save the planet’. Not much for vegans at breakfast. Practical and handy for Victoria.
Very nice property worth another visit!
Overall I found the hotel to be very good and wonderfully well located half a block from Victoria Coach Station and two short blocks from Victoria Rail and Victoria Tube Stations. It was close to some theatres and restaurants. The property was freshly renovated and well maintained. It consists of four or five historic townhouses and an issue I had was that my building had no elevator and only steep, winding steps. The staff without hesitation carried my large luggage up and down but the configuration might be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. I should have requested a lower level room. The breakfast was nicely served in the lobby but choices were very limited … definitely “continental. Rooms and the lobby had coffee and tea available all the time. Even the “double rooms” seemed small but the hotel had a lot of character and was very comfortable and clean with lots of hot water and great water pressure! I would return.
It was our second time to stay here. Great location, always helpful staff and spotless room.
Great for Victoria station but room too hot
We had a basement room in one if the annexes in Hugh Street. Very Very hot all of the time and had to have air conditioning on a lot. Downside, very narrow staircase down so hard to take case up and down. Lots of mirrors which was great, actually had the desk/mirror and plug sockets in sync (so many hotels don’t) and beds were comfy. Great for Victoria Station. I would return but not in a basement room
The room was a very small single with bathroom en suite. It was in a clean condition with Wifi, tea/coffee, hairdryer and safe were provided as well as a range of bathroom items. The bed was comfortable yet small. As regards value for money in that location close to Victoria Station, I had no complaints. Staff were helpful and a pretty basic breakfast was available for a modest price. I had difficulty operating the heating/AC system with both a wall AC unit and radiator with separate controls, excessive for the scale of the room. I would consider returning to this hotel or another in the Best Western chain, but would probably pay extra for a "double" room. All in all, good value for money.
Great comfortable but not too expensive hotel very near to Victoria coach station. Very clean room and very comfortable bed (nice firm mattress). Quiet despite its proximity to a main railway line. Continental breakfast was very good given the price (though the breakfast room was slightly cramped) and I was able to store my luggage for free and securely (I was given a luggage tag).
Nothing wrong with the stay, good value but breakfast only served until 9.30am so missed that - would have been great if it was served until 10.30am so you can have a bit of a lie in, especially on a Saturday!
A good choice when visiting London
Convenient location for Victoria bus terminus and station. Reception staff helpful. Clean, comfortable bed. Nice room, even if on the small side.
Very helpful and friendly staff, clean modern bedroom (with an excellent bed!) and bathroom and great location.
Good Review
Really nice staff, on way in and I was given information leaflet about events in London that I briefly mentioned in conversation which was really helpful. The staff were really polite and helpful and gave us basic knowledge of area when we arrived which was great. The room was clean and tidy
Great little hotel just for a night or two
Amazing staff
The staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Positively surprised by their kindness. Faint train noises can be heard from basement rooms, but not disruptuive. While the bathroom sink is quite small, but the overall bathroom is clean and well-maintained.
.
Was in a below street level room, reasonably clean but rather noisy from other guests and street noise, small room, worn out furnishings, difficult to access power ports. Didn't find the place to be good value for the rate. Would prefer to not stay again
Washroom is spacious but would be good if the staircase is straight and easy to walk. It’s quite tight to walk with luggages but we got help from the staff at check in.
The location is perfect! Close to Victoria Station and national express coach station.
Not ADA friendly. Winding staircase is impossible for mobility issues. Ask for a floor without stairs.
We stayed in the basement and it was difficult to carry luggages in and out of stairs (no elevator). Other than that the Hotel location is excellent.
Property was lovely and clean. Would not reccomend having breakfast as there are no facilities just a few tables in the small reception area. There is free tea/coffee though. Train lines runs past the hotel with trains running constantly so quite noisy
good location. close to train and bus station.
The staff is SUPER kind! But the hotel is not great. Breakfast is poor. Basically they offer you plain sliced bread with cheese, and bananas. Te bedroom is super small, and bathroom is challenging.
Comfortable stay and would recommend
Just one night
Great check in experience from the receptionist. Friendly and very helpful. Room was big enough for a single traveller and the shower was good.. Some train noise - not surprising given the location. Hotel well situated for eating out etc. and of course travel through/from Victoria
The property was perfectly located for parking in a local car park and also close to my meeting location. There were numerous places to eat and my room was clean, tidy, equipped with a spotless en-suite, a comfy bed and air conditioning. Everything I needed for my stay. I did ask for a quiet room as I needed to work prior to my meeting. I was allocated a room in one of the houses around the corner facing a side road rather than overlooking Paddington station rail tracks and coach station. (Both within two minutes walk if you need somewhere to stay before or after your travels ). I was welcomed by the reception staff member and walked to my room around the corner. He was friendly and helpful in directions to my meeting location. He also recommended a local pub for my evening meal and it didn’t disappoint. The next morning I had a continental breakfast in the small but clean reception area. I prepaid for this and it was value for what I had paid. The staff member in the morning was also friendly and explained what was available to eat. Overall, it was a good stay and fulfilled my needs. I would stay here again but would ask for a quiet room again as I am a light sleeper.
Lovely, modern hotel in great location.
Enjoyable stay in this modern hotel close to Victoria Coach, Rail & Tube stations. Room was clean, large bathroom had everything you need, king size bed was very comfortable. Manager & staff were welcoming and helped take our luggage to our room. Complementary coffee whilst our room was prepared was very welcome. Recommended.
Conveniently located near Victoria Station/Victoria Bus Station. Nice room. Helpful staff.
Stairs, stairs and more stairs, the hotel is spread across separate buildings. Very small room below street level, well-appointed with an excellent bathroom but subject to noise from above and vibrations from the trains at Victoria Station.
Narrow staircase to floors in the part we were in
This is a great hotel conveniently located close to the Victoria transportation hubs- close to bus, train, tube. Walkable to restaurants. The hotel room is spacious, clean, quiet. Facilities are updated and fresh. The staff did a great job on house keeping. A note on breakfast, it comes in a box drop by the room door at 7 am . Fairly decent selections.
We have traveled many places internationally and always have good impressions of the Best Western hotel. But this time in London, we were very disappointed for the Best Western Buckingham Palace Road Hotel, where we stayed two nights. Hotel room was booked for a couple, but the room size is small with a double bed, one chair, bath room no towel bar, vanity is long narrow size, hard to wash face & hands. Room price includes free breakfast, but we received two breakfast boxes leave outside the door. Also, no convenient small refrigerator in the room. The hotel location is next to the railroad track , so we can hear trains running noise all the time. I will not recommend any guests to come here in London.
Ok hotel bad welcome
My sat nav and feet took me to a doorway with the name of the hotel and brand above the door. Door was locked and call button didn't work. Just arrived after a long journey. Eventually I called reception and reception is round the corner (that is the hotel address but after a 4 hour journey and seeing name of hotel its an easy mistake to make). On getting to reception I did point out all the need to do is put a small sign on the other door with a sign to 'reception'. Welcome was functional and not friendly at all. An amercian women was shouted at for taking a banana which was meant for breakfast. Hotel is right next to railway so yes it is noisy but I'm a heavy sleeper so didnt affect my sleep. Room was ok batheroom ultra modern and shiny. Morning and the breakfast box (I thought I had to go back to reception for breakfast) so dropped off at the room was ok and had lots of things in. Only issue is cornflakes in a cup isnt the most practical thing! Not sure if the lady got her banana in the end?!
The staff is always very helpful and kind. They always take great care of me and that is why I always stay there when in London.
The location was ideal to Buckingham Palace and Westminister Abbey and Victoria train and coach station. Rooms were small, but clean and with a renovated bathroom. Staff was very helpful.
One Night Stay
Functional room in excellent condition. Just stayed one night for an event in Hyde Park. Good value and would stay again
This character rich property is in a fantastic location. The staff helped make my first trip to London and the UK a better experience. They went above to help us with our time there.
The staff at this hotel is outstanding. They went out of their way to make sure we had all our needs met. This hotel was great because we took tours from the Victoria Coach station. We walked to the dining options across from the coach station and it was great. This is not a fancy hotel, this is a hotel where all you need is a bed and a quiet place to sleep. The area is a neighborhood and you are not near the nightlife or the noise of the city. You get the same breakfast every day which is a muffin and juices and bread. But honestly, it was enough and we had snacks for our bus trips throughout the day if needed. One day we went for a full English breakfast.
Great stay. The staff was incredibly nice and helped us by getting us a cot and booking us a taxi for the airport the next day.
The Hotel Staff Outstanding - Mr. Hussein is the person everyone should talk to when in London. Top notch and great personality extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Hotel is perfect location close to Victoria Train/Subway/Tour Bus. But far enough away from groups/noise and safe. Excellent 24 desk service and free coffee/hot chocolate/small snacks. Rooms are very functional and clean. Coffee/Tea/Kettle/hair dyer included. Negative: Breakfast area not available - but excellent breakfast box available. Overall: Excellent Rating
Great helpful reception. Continental breakfast box was a good start to the day. Very good bathroom Small but lovely room.
The hotel was very good close to Victoria station 10 minutes walk. Lots of restaurants on Wilton Road. On the tube use contactless on card cheaper than buying a ticket.
Convenient location, easy to get around
Will I stay again ? Nope !! Reason ? I don’t think family friendly hotel for pleasure trips. For short period and business yes.
perfect
perfect reservation staff, great asset to the hotel.
A love clean room
A lovely clean room with good shower. A perfect stay although constsnt noise of trains outside our window. Perfect location for us as we had to be at Victoria Station by 0730hrs. The chap on reception was most helpful.
Odd building layout
Conveniently located near Victoria Station and the tour bus station. Very helpful staff.
It had a lovely large, modern bathroom;it was located close to bus and train terminals as well as tourist attractions; it had air coditioning, but the ac unit was very noisy. It was next to the train track and we could hear the trains going by.
room was small, but clean. Staff very helpful. I had to climb 2 flights with a cane, needed to know there wasn't a lift so could have requested a ground floor.
Excellent location. Very very clean
leger tour
great location next to bus coach station victoria
This hotel is situated in an excellent location. It is walkable to Buckingham Palace and very close to the underground and coach stations. With that being said, you will hear the noise from the trains. There are not too many cons, other than the bathroom soap being cheap and irritating to my skin. That was easily remedied by purchasing my own soap from the local Boots (Walgreens' cousin), which is located inside the underground station. The rooms are very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
don't trust picture, never had such a small hotel room in my life. way too small room, you need a good strength to get to your room, no lift, very narrow stair
The staff were super helpful and friendly, making it an easy process to check in and out.
We liked being close to Victoria Station for convenience. Room was comfortable and quiet. Would stay again. Just a warning for those with mobility issues: there were a lot of stairs and no lift (elevator).
Spot on
Clean and Comfortable
The room was clean and comfortable. The only disappointing aspect was the fact we were right on top of a railway line. Whilst this didn't adversely affect our sleep as we'd been travelling since 4a.m. it wasn't ideal.
Good value just what we wanted
Really lovely clean rooms and brilliant location
Convenient location for travel via Victoria Station.
This Best Western Hotel was situated close to Victoria Coach Station and within a few minutes walk from Victoria Train Station. The Reception team were friendly and always available. We liked that our room was in an 'annex, (separate house, recently refurbished) that was situated just round the corner from the main hotel and in a quiet location. Sadly we were only staying one night but we were delighted that both the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making facilities were supplied in the room, although I was a little disappointed that caffeine free tea was not available. We were very glad that we had paid for breakfast - it was delivered to our room, hygienically packed and included eleven items! We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
Great stay
Great stay, cheap and great value. Short trip to London for family of 4. Went to Hamilton, hotel ideally placed for Theatre, Victoria station and short walk to Buckingham palace. Booked 2 rooms beside each other for ourselves and 2 older sons (13 and 20), rooms clean, tidy and had everything that was needed. Breakfast was a continental breakfast and delivered to our room due to COVID restrictions - loads of cereal, muffins, juice etc. We were full for the morning. Staff were very nice and dropped our bags to our room when we went sightseeing as the room wasn’t ready when we arrived (we arrived earlier than check in time)
Convenient
Lovely spacious single room. Location was great. Merely steps from the coach station. Helpful staff at the reception who helped me with luggage. Will definitely stay here again!
Great Place To Stay Near Victoria Station
The room are super clean, looks very new. I got last minute great price for 1 night stay. very comfy bed, coffee and tea making in the room. nice towels and bedding. Friednly staff at the counter. Great stay in London
Able to check in early and also leave our luggage in reception the day we checked out
Priced well. Close to Victoria station. Very tiny rooms.
Because I used the bus it was right near the station. And nice and central
Spotless room in a great location. Some noise from trains but otherwise no problems. Checkin and checkout were lightning fast. Great value room overall.
Really good location!! The staffs are friendly. I have a pleasant time in London
Very nice place would stay again air conditioned so it’s nice on a hot day
The staff where extremely kind and helpful, let us leave our luggage’s at the hotel before check in and after check out. The room was clean and super cosy 👌 Would definitely recommend!
Our room was across the street from the main hotel which was very interesting. The door that led to the room was very sketchy and there was an abandoned convenience store right next to it. The room we had was very small, although it was clean. A/C worked great.
The hotel was in a very convenient position for our stay, parking was not needed,we would stay again.very good value.
Love this hotel. Brilliant
Clean, comfortable, great staff, brilliant wifi. Excellent stay.
Newly refurbished, great sized room for Victoria
Hotel is all in separate bits. I was in a newly refurbished park and it was lovely - brand new with modern decor. Double room was surprisingly big for Central Victoria.
The hotel staff was great, the location is exceptional however our room smelled like sewage and they delivered the same exact breakfast every morning.
Lovely refurbished room
good fair room
the room was functional and fresh, i was at the rear of the property which next to railway lines there was some noise, more sound proofing from other rooms would be useful, bedroom was roasting and bathroom was like freezer no heating what so ever,
Very friendly
Our trip was to for shopping and tourism. The gentleman at the hotel was very friendly, very knowledgeable about the area of london. Giving tips on where to go and where to eat. The room was very clean, comfortable and a goid size. It wasnt the biggest room but was very adequate for 2 people. Will mlst definately book this hotel again if we return to london.
Newly refurbished, small but perfectly formed
Brand new decor, very tastefully decorated. Room is small, but has everything you need. Amazing location. Air con (which is always so welcomed in London, even in winter). Friendly check-in staff, even let me check in early. Didn't use any other hotel facilities (breakfast etc) due to Covid.
I love that the Best Westen hotels are not new builds with no character. The hotel is situated perfectly for travel from Victoria. The room although decorated beautifully with plenty of sockets and variety of lighting was tiny and the shower room miniscule.
Comfortable rooms at convenient location
Very newly renovated rooms with good size just steps away from Victoria coach station. Will definitely consider staying here again in my next visit to London.
I liked that the rooms were perfect size and looked brand new.
Nothing wrong with the room itself as it was very clean and comfortable fir the night. But right outide the window is a train rail so all night we kept waking up to trains, so didnt sleep much. We also paid for breakfast, but due to covid we didnt
over night stay
it was relaxing and it met my standard's
experience
No room cleaning for the one week, but reception made the stay receptive.
Pandemic
Amazing
Excellent service and nice staff.
I am very satisfied with my stay it is Nice, clean and comfortable. It is easy access to Central of Victoria. Well situated 👍😉 I Highly recommend it.
Excellent Services, 1-min walk from Station
Booked a Double. The hotel was not full and the staff was helpful that letting us check as early as 11am. Also they saw us carrying some luggage so specially arranged a bigger room located on ground floor to avoid staircase. The bathroom was clean, water hot enough and the bed was comfortable. Room hygiene overall ok. Generally it worth 8.0 (2 points deducted due to noises from railway and hotel breakfast)
Excellent hotel and service. Centrally located to Victoria tube station which will take you anywhere in London.
Clean, good location. Quite noisy area, tiny bathroom
Excellent location. Very clean. However the elevator was broken and we were up 4 flights of stairs.
We got there super early around 9-10am hoping to just drop off our bags and receptionist told us they had the room ready so we got checked in earlier than their 2pm check in policy
Check in was slow. But got there in the end
great boutique hotel in wonderful area, close to everything
