Staff was very nice, room was very clean and comfortable
Good customer service, clean hotel. Only thing we didn't like was we could hear everyone around us conversations, or dogs constantly barking or slamming of doors/foot steps. Most people spoke English there. Good breakfast options.
Very polite staff went out of their way to be helpful very clean hotel we will be back
Excellent
Very good.
Surprisingly good hotel not far from the Rome Tiburtina train station. Good restaurants nearby. $10 parking fee is reasonable. Recommended.
Stay away
This place was terrible. NOT a 4 star by any means. No AC that worked. Refrigerator broken. Bar was poorly stocked and difficult to find s bartender. Neighborhood was filthy and garbage strewn everywhere .
We had interesting service. The electricity was an issue, finally solved. We were given bad instructions on getting to our room with heavy luggage, no offers for help, and another time given the keys for someone else’s room. The breakfast was good. We warmed up the staff but it took a while. They were friendly and tried hard but. Do not publish this. It is for their info only.
Not as suggested
Some staff just not interested in you or your comfort. Hotel is not as pictures suggest, some of the furniture has been changed and with outdoor patio chairs?? The mini bar is two small bottles of water, one small coke, one small juice and a small prosecco. Rooms are not sound proof, in fact not even slightly. It says dogs welcome but didn't expect them being allowed in the dining area at breakfast!! Did not sleep very well due to noise from neighbouring rooms ie. Toilets flushing, voices, banging and even part of building blowing in the wind and knock against wall! Everything was just cramped, even the bidet right outside the shower so you have to squeeze round it when getting in or out?
Unhelpful staff. No air conditioning...apparently because it is "winter" though 27 degrees. Substandard breakfast setup
This hotel is ok. The staff could have been a little bit more friendlier with Americans. The 1st room we stayed in the bathroom is flooded ans so is the sink. The second room is much better. The breakfast is great. I will not be back in this hotel.
Our Stay
Clean rooms and comfortable. parking available which is handy
Two Night Stay For our Tour of Rome
Overall the staff was nice and courteous. The hotel had a couple of parking spots inside the gate that we paid extra to park in. The area around the hotel was a little bit intimidating, but the hotel felt safe. Breakfast was nice. We asked to turn our A/C on and were told it was not time yet. We were very warm as it was getting close to 80 each day. We were offered a fan to help. The mosquitos were bothersome if we opened our windows. It was a nice stay for a couple of nights allowing us to not travel in the main traffic inside Rome.
Get away from the Center of Rome
As the other reviews have emphasized, this hotel is not in the touristy center of Rome, but a little more towards the residential areas outside the City's inner loop. Far from being a liability, I think that's one of this hotel's strengths from the perspective of an international traveler. We bought the one week transit pass which gives you unlimited transit access and saved a ton on taxis. There is an express bus which is close to the hotel which will take you downtown, but it's slow. The Metro is much faster, but a bit more of a hike (though you get to see and visit all the little shops and restaurants on the way). Being outside of the city center, you can find much more reasonable prices for food at the nearby restaurants. Several of the nearby sit down places were excellent, with fresh high quality handmade pastas. Plenty of Gellato nearby, And there's a particular pizza by the pound shop near the metro station where a couple can eat a decent meal for about $8 total if you're feeling tapped out. The hotel was in good condition and the rooms were comfortable. We were there in June, when it gets quite warm in Rome and I think the A/Cs in the room could use a little maintenance. Breakfast was good. The property is very charming, and has a great rooftop balcony to sit and socialize in the cool summer evening. I probably slept better here then I would have in the noisy downtown area, and it was cheaper. Would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel
Hotel Is situated in nice neighbourhood away from busy centre. Great metro link, quick access to the city. Hotel rooms lovely and clean. Breakfast Buffet good value , coffee especially nice . Hotel staff welcoming , friendly and efficient
Facilities: Nice ; Value: Good value for money.; Service: Professional, Friendly; The staff were very helpful and knowledgable about how to get arond Rome on public transport. Great service!
Nice Hotel
Clean, lovely staff, and very professional. Would stay again.
Good Value Though Location is Not the Best
The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I'd say the only (major) drawback is the location. The bus ride from the center or town seemed long and the neighborhood that the hotel is located in is not very pretty. If these things don't bother you I would recommend this place.
Good hotel
The hotel is really good , rooms , toilet , service , price all very good. But location is very big problem , you need taxi with 20 euro to reach the nearest metro station .
Excellent
Excellent service. Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to the metro.
great value but somewhat inconvenient
Great value! However beware that it is 10-15 minutes walk from the nearest Metro station (Conca d'Oro), and the Metro takes an additional 20 minutes to reach the city center. Make sure NOT to use the path that involves a long set of stairs, even though Google Maps likes to route you that way. Going a slightly longer way involves much less climbing. Service was great, staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was quite yummy. However, our room was quite humid that the bed felt wet (it was on the bottom floor), and both the shower and the sink had problems draining. Perhaps a different room would have been better.
Facilities: Nice ; Value: Great deal; Service: Outstanding, Great staff;
Very good hotel with good quality of service
Generally speaking, this hotel is very good. This hotel is 6 metro stations far away from Termini Train Station, and located in a resident area, which is not easy to find but it just need 10minutes walk to metro or bus station.
Facilities: Modern; Value: Affordable; Service: Good; Cleanliness: Spotless;
Brilliant Hotel in the suburbs of Rome
We recently stayed in the hotel for 8 nights & had a brilliant time. The hotel is in a quiet suberb of Rome, a very short walk from the bus stop (X90 from Termini) and the underground (Conca Dor'O). The instructions given by the hotel of how to get there from the bus route were perfect - minutes walk. The hotel is modern, good sized rooms, high ceilings, very large comfortable beds, crisp, white linen and very large soft white towels, very clean, staff are very friendly and helpful and brilliant breakfast included in the price. The area around the hotel has bars, shops restaurants, some on the way back from the tube and the others in the immediate vicinity. Recommend :- C1BO - Fashion /Burger/ Beer Bar, Montesacro, Viale Tirreno No 2, Roma Ilocal - just round the corner. Delicatessen round the corner with a cafe - brilliant evening meal - no menu - food kept coming - lots of fabulous italian tasters & wine. 3 Italian Restaurants on the main road back from the Tube All were local restaurants with very reasonably priced food & drink. All were surprised as we were the only English eating or drinking there but they were so friendly and accommodating.
Nice hotel, close to metro.
Everything went well. My stay was very comfortable. The only negative I can say is, the shower in my room was tiny.
Close to public transport
We were initially put in quite a small room especially w for 3 of us it was just too cosy. When we complained they did move us to a slightly bigger room. We would question wether it should really a 4 star rated
Facilities: Above average; Value: Affordable; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Neat; get rid of the long-life milk tubs.
Lovely hotel with access to public transportation
The staff at the ARS Hotel made our experience truly wonderful. The hotel itself is quiet, small, neatly done place in a nice suburban area with modern decoration and clean lines. The room itself was a bit small (what room in Rome isn't?) but pleasant. There is easy access to the bus (for less than 2 euros, the #60 bus will take you directly to Piazza Venezia), and to the train line. The staff were so kind and helpful, even with our gauche American ways. They never made us feel uncomfortable or out-of-place. Well done!
Value: Affordable, Inexpensive;
Not For Business
Really nice hotel. Nice design, nice terrasse for chilling. Not for business, that's inacceptable that there is no iron or laundery service. No restaurant (even you can call for a pizza). Desk for working not really adapted. Personnel is nice. Hotel is nice. Business service is poor.
Facilities: Modern, Nice ; Value: Affordable; Service: Friendly, Courteous; Cleanliness: Pleasant; good access to buses to heart of Rome.
A lovely hotel but far from where tourists in Rome would like to be. The hotel is nice, little and clean, as I like it, but too far from the center.
ARS hotel
despite having to stay in another hotel the first night (which was very disappointing) our stay in the ARS hotel was wonderful. The staff were always friendly and very helpful, the room was clean and inviting. We shall definately recommend the ARS hotel to friends and family and should we go to Rome again will stay there again.
Far from all must-see sights
The hotel staff were friendly, they served complimentry breakfast, complimentry wired internet in all guest room but it is not sufficient for all guest in room so you should stay at reception hall to connect with wi fi complimentry internet service. Also they serve a shuttle service one way only to closest metro station (repuplica station) by advance reservation since the hotel is far from all must seen sights in rome.
ARS NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED
This hotel is not in the city center nor near it. It was very annoying to take buses to get anywhere. The hotel staff is not helpful at all, each of them have different answers for everything and they were all wrong and not informative or helpful AT ALL. The hotel it self was not so bad but it was more of a house not a hotel. This is not a 4 star hotel, i would say 3 star. Not worth going to ROME unless you stay in the city center.
Rome in Autumn
Very good public transport system, metro is a little shoddy and strewn with graffiti. there appear to be a lot of beggars on every street, not sure if they are real or just taking advantage of tourists. a lot of pedlars of african origin try to sell you anything from tripods, sunglasses, umbrellas, scalves, etc and they can get on your nerves as they push their wares under your nose.... all the ruins are great to see if you are interested.
The Ars hotel, while having an
The Ars hotel, while having an unfortunate name, was a great choice for our stay in Rome. On arrival I was given the option to look at a few rooms to determine my preference - both were well presented, one was larger than the other, but the smaller had access to a patio so I chose that. Unfortunately it also had the smell of stale smoke, but the staff provided air freshener on request, and I could also open the door to the balcony for fresh air. The breakfast was more than adequate; a buffet of scrambled or boiled eggs, ham or salami, croissants, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee to order etc. I have read comments from some reviewers about the distance from Rome, but the bus service from the Termini puts you only a short distance away from the hotel (although it is an uphill walk!)and for the price and the piece of quiet I would make the tradeoff again. There are also resturants and a small supermarket nearby. I highly recommend to anyone who is happy out of the centre of Rome.
NIGHTMARE ON ROME STREET.
95% DISSATISFIED. POOR LOCATION, AREA, STAFF.
Away from the center....
We explored Rome everyday and liked the fact that this hotel was off the beaten path in a more residential area away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. We took the bus ,the stop which is about a block and a half from the property (bus is 90 express). It comes very frequently and runs til fairly late. It lets you off at the 'Termini" (it takes about 20 minutes from the stop) the main railroad station and a central location. You can transfer from there onto most other lines as well as the metro to go to any destination within the city including the catacombs which are located on the outskirts of town. You can also walk from there to many of the sites without having to take further transportation. There are only small 'bars' and eateries in the vicinity of the hotel and one full service restaurant that we could find so if you want to be in an area where there is a lot of nightlife etc. this is not it.
rome's best kept secret
we stayed here for our wedding aniversary, although a little way from the sights this was not a problem, you just get the number 90 bus from termini and get off at sempione turn right at the cross roads and you are there. the hotel was great ,the hotel staff were very helpful at all times. the free wi fi was a great help for printing our boarding cards for the trip back. breakfast was good and plenty of it.we would come back to this hotel again for sure. and it was also very peaceful at night on the terrace also free gym and spa if you want to use it, although we didn't.
Great hotel, a bit far from city center
We were tourists in Rome and wanted to find a clean, convenient, and reasonably priced hotel, and ARS was perfect. Only drawback is it's a short bus ride from the city center, but it's easily navigable and worth the distance. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was spacious and clean. Lots of restaurants around the hotel a plus.
Great staff and service! Very clean and very fair price.
Soggiorno Piacevole
Breve soggiorno lavorativo.
Metro raggiungibile a piedi.
Consigliato
Hotel curato e pulito in un villino anni 20. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
Goed en uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet, heel vriendelijk personeel en zeer schoon
Morgenmaden lidt over Italiensk standard, men savner stadig noget ordenligt brød.
Nettes Hotel in ruhiger Lage
Sauberes Zimmer, klein, funktionell und recht nett eingerichtet! Bad mit Dusche, auch sehr sauber!

Great choice of restaurants within walking distance and halve the price compared to closer to centre. Staff were very helpful
