A good place to stay with friendly hotel staff. Davey the receptonist was very nice and accommodating.The bed and pillows were sooo comfortable. There were 2 shopping malls within walking distance and those that were not, I rode with InDrive which was much cheaper then Grab. Plenty of street food shops around the hotel and very cheap. I would stay here again. Thank you Belllo Hotel.

A hidden gem of a property in downtown Johor Bahru. Extremely convenient location for access to food & shopping. Rooms are clean with running hot shower, and it is large enough to open up a large suitcase on the floor without falling over it.

Located vwry near to JB central. Easy to access.

This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. The staffs are super friendly and near lots of dinning options around the hotel. The only set back we experience in this stay were noises around the corridor and loud closing of doors from other guests at weeks hours(I.e. 2am to 3am). If u r not a light sleeper like myself there will not be an issue.

This was a small lower end hotel however put us in among the people who were very friendly. The hotel staff were welcoming and it was very clean.

Great short stay in a convenient environment

It’s a great place to go as a couple as the room is a little bit small. my experience with a baby has been good so far. Very convenient as it’s near city square and also easy to locate the hotel. Have no trouble going back Singapore as it’s only bout 5-10mins walk to custom

First & the Last Time Stay

Not the cheapest hotel near JB sentral, only reason I chosen this hotel was due to it's location and cheaper price during my booking period. Stayed there for 2 nights and no housekeeping or refilling of the amenities done. Actual room outdated and worn down, deferred greatly from the photos listed. Should only be graded 1 or 2 star hotel, my first and last time stay here.

Not recommended

Smaller hotel than I expected. Room and hotel nothing like in the pictures. Worn and dirty in the room, especially the bathroom. Broken safe, broken door catch in bathroom, filthy shower screen, bed way too soft, about 1/5 for hardness, 1 channel in English (news). Bonus points...Enough sockets, Aircon and fridge both worked

Worst hotel ever booked

Very bad hotel experience. Room is old and bed sheet are stained. The room looks old and wall badly stained. No luggage tag for luggage storage. Checked in and checked out in less than 10mins. Totally different from the photos on hotel.com. Worst hotel room ever enter.

Comfortable n good lighting

The staff undercharge us after we had make the payment. There was a dispute during check-in. In the future, the staff should fully aware of the right amount of the payment to avoid any misunderstand & inconvenience. There should a letter from the hotel or the management of the tourist tax as a proof. Thank you.

Basic hotel

This hotel looks nice, has great staff, and is clean but the rooms are quite basic. They either face a very noisy street or have windows facing inside the building, i.e indoor windows. There were no bedside lamps and the faucet handle in my shower fell off. On the good side is that there are many restaurants just across the street with excellent food 24 hours per day. On the bad side is that the restaurants - at my stay at least - had some extremely noisy customers who wake you up at 04.00 am every night, so bring your earplugs if you stay in one of the rooms facing the street. If this was a two star hotel I would give it a good rating but for a 3 star hotel I would much expect better.

The front desk is nice

The room is totally unlike the photos on Expedia. No decoration at all. Just bed, table and a chair. No bed-lamps, no decorations, even no bath mat on the first day of my arrival.

Family trip

Stay in a family room. Quite big but the room isnt as clean as there is a carpet which looks dirty. Wifi is troublesome cos must change password everyday

Hotel facilities is rather good and clean. However parking is not available and need to pay additional to park at nearby private parking.

I travel around Singapore & Malaysia a lot this is the best Boutique Hotel I've found and great value for money. Staff have a great can do attitude. A big 7eleven below for anything u might need.

Good stay in City Area

The stay was good. Very convenient to eatery and shopping centre. Staff was polite and friendly.

Satisfied with this experience especially with a great staff team. Everyone is welcoming and polite at all time. Feel safe once we stepped into the hotel. The room is in fairly good room condition and clean with a comfy queen bed. However, the bathroom is small and old but overall it’s worth the value.

Great property close to shopping nice staffclean hotel

Firstly tissue, toilet paper was not refilled at all. Secondly stain in bedsheet and blankets. Thirdly smoke smell always lingers despite request for non smoking room. Fourthly wifi down upon arrival. Fifth, room door unable to auto lock by itself, require several times of open and close to work. Sixth, environment too noisy to sleep and noise isolation is bad. Seventh, air con unable to control temperature. Lastly their housekeeping topple out air freshener, causing our clothings soak wet. Staffs remain quiet after highlighting. Very disappointed on this

When I first arrived to the room there is no towel, hand soap and shower gel and hair shampoo in the room and I need to go and tell to the counter people. When I sleep, something bite my foots and back of neck.

It is conveniently located for people who like to enjoy local food and also close to C.I.Q area. The bathroom is quite spacious and I like the toiletries provided. Friendly and helpful staff.

2nd time staying, everything was great. Great service and the room was clean. Overall enjoy my stay there.

Convenient location. Coffee shops below, 7 Eleven next to hotel, 5 to 10 min walk to City Square. Easy to get Grab. Rm10 to Southkey Mall. No facilities, only rooms. Small deluxe room, not ideal for families. Basic provisions- hair dryer, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, bath gel, soap, coffee making facility, wifi, TV. Little walking space in the room.

Good location but not well-rested

Good service, decent amenities, great location. Zero soundproofing so didn't get a good night's sleep due to rowdy guests and noise made during housekeeping.

Short trip for shopping

Friendly staff greeting guests with pleasant smiles. Fast and smooth check in and check out process. Small hotel yet comfortable. Good for basic needs of accommodation if going out for the day and just come back sleep at night. Convenient location to JB Sentral bus terminal which has bus to KSL and Mid Valley shopping malls and nearby to City Square Mall. Value for money.

Reasonably Good Hotel

It is not exactly a clean neighborhood. But plenty of night hawker foods around especially in late night. It is located in walking distance to the JB CIQ and City Square Mall. These the reason I choose this hotel as it suited my needs.

Good: Great location 5 mins walk from City Sq, easy to locate, 7-11 & a few eateries nearby, security guard at night. Customer service wasn't exceptional but acceptable. Check-in & check-out was a breeze. Complimentary bottled water, toiletries, coffee/tea, hairdryer, safe, kettle provided. Bad: Requested for room on high floor & 2 single beds but was given room on low floor & a queen bed. Had problems with the wifi log in but was resolved quickly. Wifi wasn't very fast. Furnishing in room was very worn & felt like it hasn't been cleaned except the cupboard which looked new & toilet. Stains on walls, table & toilet seat. Floor was very dusty, towels were old, worn & not white anymore. Room wasn't very well ventilated. Very small hotel with a narrow lobby & small lift. Was very shocked & disappointed at the actual condition of the hotel & room as it looked totally different from pics & reviews. Felt more like a 2-2.5 star hotel. Not value for money given its condition. Didn't feel comfortable staying there at all. Definitely WILL NOT stay at this hotel again, would rather spend my money elsewhere.

Hotel established in 2017 but furniture and amenities seems like decade old. Door latch is broken, bed headboard framing came off, huge cockroach crawling above bedside wall in middle of night and room top hung window lock is broken the smell of street food from night market filled up the room. Bad experience.

Telephone was not working. Told the staff but nothing was done during the 2d1n stay. Table looks old with cups water marks on the wood. WiFi code wasn't working for the first code which was given to us. Location is excellent though

Good hotel near food street

Although the Suite we booked was a bit small, overall the stay was good; clean room, good service and good location near food street. The only thing lacking is slippers and only one bath towel per guest.

Security checks was imposed so as to keep away from intruders at the main entrance. I was impressed by their safety and security pessonel.

It’s not like pic shows, got sofa, big room.... A bit noisy in the mid night. But all the staff’s service is really good. The location has many things to eat.

All Staffs were friendly and helpful. Although check in time is 3pm , the staff so nice to check for room available to let’s us check in before 12pm . The room is clean and bed is comfortable. The location is convenient, walking distance to shopping malls and food streets. We will book again for next trip if hotel room is available 👍

the check in/ check out is very simple, the staff were extremely friendly and pleasant. the room's amenities were sufficient, cleanliness is good. i love the toilet/ bathroom which is huge and clean. bed is soft and comfy.

Not the first time staying here. However, the room this time round was smaller and not as clean (especially between the toilet tiles). Upon check in to the room at around 8pm, the floor was still wet. Hope this can be improved and look into.

Is convenient shop &eater just outside except the noise in nite and smell smoking smell although non-smoking floor. Mall is near by too. Should include room slipper as the floor not clear.

Clean, good and affordable price

We've booked a premier room. Upon checkng again online, we realised we were given a deluxe room instead of premier room. We loved the location. Will there be a refund or free upgrade on our next visit?

Pros: 1. Check in was smooth and fuss free. Front desk staff was very polite. 2. Very ideal location. Near CIQ with 7-eleven next door and hawker food opposite. 3. Wifi connection strong. Cons: 1. Room was small and poorly equipped, 1 of 2 bedside power plug not functioning. No slippers provided. 2. Flooring was not carpeted. 3. Floor tiles and wall was always covered with condensation due to poor temperature control in entire property. 4. Walls were thin. 5. Floor was particularly dirty. It’s an alright place for a short stay if you’re not fussy, especially if it’s priced right. For me, I was disappointed that the basic things were not done right.

Convenient location within walking distance to JB Sentral. No frills budget hotel. Interior of the room was basic and dated but the size of the was rather big. You get what you paid for. Front office staff and security staff were friendly.

Second time staying in this hotel and was recommended by a friend who had always stay here during their visit to JB. Love the service crew and how convenient it is to city square mall and custom.

Managed to snag a deal via Expedia. $50 per night for the Suite room. Located very near City Square and CIQ (about 5 minutes walk). From the outside, the hotel is a standout. The area is quite run down but the hotel looks nice. I dropped by at 9am to leave my bags so that i can return later at 2pm to check in. To my suprise, the receptionist allowed us to check in and I didnt even have to pay any extra money. After the usual admin process, I was soon on my way up to the suite. I was amazed with the room. The photos speak for themselves. TV channels are mainly local and Singaporean channels. Bed was too soft for me but acceptable. Do take note hotel does not have food facilities. Not a problem because the area is full of food options. 24 hour 7-11 outlet just beside the hotel. Its a perfect location for those seeking to stay a day or two in JB for shopping and food reasons. I was extremely pleased with the Indian laydy receptionist. Feel bad not knowing her name. But her hospitality definitely made my stay a better one. Will definitely stay here again!

My personal review

Hotel is rather old. The bed in the room is on the very soft side, only two pillows provided. And the water boiler is rusty and dirty. The edges of the room is also cracked or stained. Good for people who's looking for short and cheap stay, but not for people who's looking for short and comfort stay. And no parking available, which u have to park at Merlin tower which looks old and not very secure. The parking fee is not cheap as well, 1hr 1.8rm / 24 hr 45rm. As compared I would personally prefer grand belllo JBCC more altho is not easily accessible to the nearby malls. But for people who owns a car it's ok, as grand belllo JBCC it'd own hotel has personally parking space with security.

Worth your money , strategic location & clean room

it was an amazing short getaway. Value for money. What you see is what you get. Very near to shopping mall, street food stalls, near Bazaar Karat. Clean room, comfy bed, clean toilet and staff very friendly. Would definitely come again.

Very nice Boutique hotel in the heart of JB. The area can be a bit rough...but not scary, so the average tourist should feel quite safe. the hotel itself, is a little gem. Very clean, very quiet, with exceptionally friendly staff. Rooms are carpet free...bathrooms mold free and Wifi works a charm. Have stayed 4* and 5* establishments that could take lessons from this charmer.
