Overnight stay for an early flight out of Bellingh
We just stayed overnight for an early flight out of Bellingham. The room was freezing cold when we opened the door but it didn’t take long to warm up after we turned on the heater. The staff were helpful and friendly. I don’t know if the sheets were actually washed because there were a couple of strands of hair and a dirty spot on my sheet.
Fair for the price
Hotel was fair for the price, bed was comfortable and nice to have breakfast included. Close to Bellis Fair Mall and other shopping. If you are a light sleeper you may find it a bit noisy as the walls are pretty thin and you can hear other folks conversations/TV. Hopefully the owner will remove the picture of the hot tub from their website because we were told there isn’t one anymore.
Good cheap rooms. Nice free breakfast. Be nice if they fixed the hottub.
It was a convenient place to stay before a flight
You do not inform that they charge a deposit of 100 DLS and the application does not say anything about that so when you are at the hotel you can no longer do anything more than pay the 100 deposit😡😡
Staff are very nice and the place was very good.
GROSS, DO NOT STAY HERE!
HORRIBLE!!!!! Pee stains on the bed. Gross, gross, gross
Bed bugs
We got to the hotel laid down to rest and I felt something crawling on me they have bed bugs. We had to leave and customer service said they were reluctant to give a refund… for bed bugs crawling on me..
It started off with not being able to contact the front desk because the telephone is don't work.It was straight up disgusting there was blood splatter on the wall and what looked like dried clotted blood on the floor, multiple stab holes from a knife all over the walls cobwebs in the corner, The sixth drawer dresser was unusable All the bottoms were falling out of them there was glitter and garbage behind the dresser there was a empty bottle of vodka and candy wrappers under the bed there was crumbs on the sheet in between a blanket and the sheet The ice bucket which was near the wall that had the blood on it had blood in it itself.
From a very dusty room, night stands covered in dust. Stains on the bed sheets, lamp shades stained yellow.. Coffee maker in the bathroom is unsanitary. Soap is old and very cheap. Breakfast: the sausages are Vienna sausages that you buy at Walmart for 1$ in a can… eggs are way over done. Orange juice water down. Not worth it for me to stay here again.
Easy to find , close to a lot of different fast food and next to a bar , only down side construction woke me up early , right in the front of the hotel
It was ok
!
It's good 👍
Ok for overnight stay
The staff is really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. The rooms are small and falling apart, the smell is really bad. But that’s from people making and urinating in the halls. The staff make up for the majority of the short comings.
I was extremely satisfied for the price. The paint was chipped here and there and the carpets worn, but the sheets were clean and the water pressure was good
The receptionist is very unfriendly
This is a nice place to stay
Nothing to say basic
Appreciate the friendly staff and included breakfast. The room was clean and everything worked.
Best place for your money.
We always stay at the Bellis Inn when we are in Bellingham. The desk people are always helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There really isn’t much of a breakfast though The price is right and a good location.
Appreciate the friendly staff and the breakfast.
Close to I5
The stay was good for the model train show we was attending in Lynden. It was a short drive to the show and I have stayed there before because it satified the best my neads. It is an older hotel but very clean and the breakfest was good . There isn't very few hotels near Lynden and book up early for the show.. I will probaly stay there next year too.
For the price you can’t really get any better. Room was pretty spacious, everything was clean, staff were quick and super friendly/helpful. Will definitely stay here again
Could hear everything from bedroom beside my Old and outdated
It was more than enough for my needs, and very inexpensive...room was clean, bed was comfortable
Our room smelt like piss. Thank goodness we got there at 1:00 in the morning and we're leaving at 8:00. It's probably my fault. It was a cheap hotel. What can you expect?
it was ok
This hotel is not the best, but I definitely got my money's worth. The staff was courteous and addressed our needs and concerns. They had enough breakfast choices, except water, which I had to ask for. The room was clean but smelled funky, not fresh. Common areas in the hotel were not clean.
The lamp next to the bed was missing the knob to turn on. The outlets in the room were warn out so much that the plug would fall out. The remote to the tv was over used you had to wiggle the buttons for a while to change the channel or use the volume. The toilet seem to flush but after a few minutes the water looked like sewage also the room smelled like a chemical storage room. I had to open the window all night long. I was only there for the night so I just felt with it.
Bed was clean. Other than that, it was not ok. Room smelled strongly of wet dog (or something similar) other than the bathroom, which was cigar smoke all the way (non smoking property? I think not) Fixtures had months to years of grunge and dust, plugs were loose and overloaded with stuff plugged in, and the shower bar was almost completely ripped out of the wall. I skipped the free breakfast. Located next to a sketch casino with equally sketch clientele. Spend another $20 to stay at a chain hotel.
Our room was clean and comfortable, however, only prepared for one person, not two. When we called from the 3rd floor for additional towels, coffee cups, etc we were told we had to go down to reception to get them. The evening receptionist was not friendly. We slept very well. The breakfast was marginal. Our stay was just okay.
College Drop Off
This is a very budget hotel. We knew what we were getting into and needto save money. So it did we needed but there still could be improvements even at a low budget facility. The check in process was incredibly slow...no like seriously slow. You would have thought we were purchasing a vehicle for the amount of time it took. Again happy there are affordable options but maybe the check in processes could be simplified.
The room stunk of mold, the bathroom ceiling had black mold and the general look and feel of the room was filthy, dated and poorly upkept. We didn’t actually wind up staying, and couldn’t get a refund, which sucked.
I have never encountered such a horrible place before. When I entered the room, it had a damp smell. After taking a shower, I lay down on the bed and started to feel small crumbs on the sheets. I discovered that there were dust and skin flakes all over the bedspread and underneath the covers. I complained about this, and they switched my room without even saying "sorry." I took pictures to show them. The new room was also unsatisfactory; while it didn't have a damp smell, I noticed dust on the lamp and furniture. They were strict about asking for a $100 security deposit but didn't apologize the next morning or offer any compensation for the discomfort of moving from upstairs to downstairs in the middle of the night.
The floors were nasty. The beds had broken springs. It was a cheap stay so that’s what I expected. The breakfast literally served Vienna sausages for the meat….
Nice place
Convenient stay.
Smokiest nonsmoking room ever. Minimal breakfast choices.
Gross floor
Very dirty rooms
Cute hotel Nice staff Better than the neighbouring hotels I’ve stayed in. Only issue is the area has some sketchy people hanging around the parking lots
It’s really dirty. We couldn’t sleep whole night. Housekeeping didn’t clean the room, sink was in the room and it was dripping. When I asked for a new bed cover and blankets, front desk guy gave me a new set, but those were also dirty. During the night there was noise from different rooms. Dinning area was also very dirty couldn’t eat the breakfast. Overall I don’t recommend anyone to go to this property.
Good breakfast too.
Room was clean but definitely dated Rate I paid was reasonable for what it was Front desk staff were friendly There was a old smell in the building
Best by a mile
This was the starting point and end point of our road trip across Canada and the Northern States of America, and we were very pleased with the quality on offer. In fact it set the standard for all the others we stayed at during our trip and came out on top. The others all fell short on either comfort, quality, cleanliness standards or breakfasts, so I would recommend the Bellis Inn any day. The only very minor downside was the spa was not available, but it wasn't a major concern.
The hotel was very shabby and dirty. Totally unacceptable.
Awesome and lots of fun.
They wouldn’t refund my reservation hours after it was booked
I was disappointed in the quality of the facility compared to the online photos. There was no plug in the bath tub and the toilet "ran" if not flushed a certain way. I found a used coffee packet left in the coffee maker so it was obvious that it hadn't been checked. The breakfast was mediocre with a poor selection of food. No swimming pool and the spa advertised was not working. I would not recommend this for families with children.
Convenient stop. The room was fine. The gentleman at the desk in the morning was courteous and helpful.
I would like to shine light on the fact that this place has to be limited staff. Me and my husband stayed here as a stop on our 1 day driving trip. We couldn’t even get a hold of anyone at the front desk there were unreachable we try to attempt to call for new towels. We cannot get anyone to answer the phone. I called the front desk several times so staffing is a big issue at this hotel. I also did not realize that the hotel allow dogs. We were next to someone with the dog and even though the dog didn’t bark all night, the dog was growling all night, and we could hear it through our walls. The walls at this hotel are very thin, I didn’t think it was too much of a problem until the dog a.m. every time somebody walked down the hallway which kept waking me up then I realize it was a bigger problem than I thought as far as cleaning the shower could’ve been cleaned out a lot better it stains around the rim of the shower that I just felt like could’ve been taken care of easily by wiping down so overall the hotel was OK but I definitely would not stay there again. It just wasn’t clean enough for me. the staff was not interacting enough. There was very limited staff. I think I see one person there a whole entire time and I don’t even know how long he worked maybe a 15 hour shift. It looks like , it was just a lot going on and the place could be kept up a little bit better. Thank you
This hotel is the worst there is. It is soo dirty and is old and not kept up. I do not understand how this hotel is still operating. The hotel is falling apart and does not get cleaned at all. We checked out after 10 minutes of being there it looked so unsanitary. PLEASE DO NOT STAY THERE.
Cose to shopping and dining. Morning desk person was friendly and helpful.
Although I enjoyed the lower rates, the person at the desk at night had zero customer service skills. Locals in rooms on top floor with kids pounding on floor ALL DAY LONG! Homeless people living in their cars in overflow parking lot.
Everything was pretty good, it is what you pay for. Was like 84$ a night. Breakfast was mid at best. The “egg’s and sausage” was in fact just boiled eggs and hotdogs. If you’re looking for breakfast go elsewhere. Everything else was decent, the coffee pot was in the bathroom which was odd. If you don’t mind the breakfast this hotel will work just fine. The slo pitch right next door has excellent breakfast so there’s no worries. The staff was extremely friendly!
Dirty room but clean sheets and towels
Great service, shaving hair in the sink, razor blade (drug use) on the floor, wrappers behind the table.
Bellis Inn n’ Go
Needed a place to stay after a long drive and before crossing over into BC. For just crashing and going it wasn’t a bad little, older place. Not a lot of frills but none needed.
evening front desk staff clearly hated his job; unfriendly and impatient. Room was clean but very average. Pillows and bed not very comfortable.
The hotel says non smoking but it was obviously people were smoking. People parking until all hours of ghe night. Staff was very nice though
Although I have stayed. in many budget hotels before, this one is definitely one I will not be returning to. Based on previous good reviews, we changed another reservation to be closer to the central area, the beds were sagging and super uncomfortable, the room was very humid and stuffy, and the breakfast at 8am was only crumbs and scraps left with only the napkins being refilled. Although it wasn't "the worst" it is definitely not one we will be returning to while passing through!
Overall ok except for the smells of smoke and dog, when you are first going into the room. Probably the best free breakfast i have had while traveling. Staf is a little bit cold but no problem
I loved the stay there
Very nice stay
Bed & pillows were so comfy. Nice and quiet. Just what was needed. The evening front desk person was awesome.

Overpriced, gross, unsafe
Hair stretchies on the floor, bugers on the wall, makeup and thick dust on the blow dryer. It’s obvious care is not taken when cleaning. Lots of sketchy people around. Thin walls and noise being made all night long Definitely the worst place I’ve ever stayed and somehow was $175. We asked for our money back once we saw the condition of our room but were denied

Reasonable ... took the room for the price
Reception very nice and friendly Rooms smoke or pet smell. Bed average ... nothing special.
Really dirty rooms and poor condition. The bathroom was no clean at all, hair everywhere, dirty blankets. I won’t ever come back to this hotel. I can’t believe it cost almost 200 dollars.
Not good, elevator didn't work. Put me on the 3rd floor
It was nice. Staff friendly
Had a good experience.
room definitely wasn't vacuumed and very unsafe outside
Pleasant staff. We feel safe. Inn was clean.
We did not like the bed at all and could not open the window because it was broken. Random guy was yelling and screaming in hallway around 10:45 pm, not hotels fault. Other than that it’s a place to stay if you’re on a budget.
Mediocre hotel
The gentleman checking us in was very nice, but they were super busy so we had to wait awhile to check in. The room and bathroom were overall nice and we had a good nights rest. But we could hear the neighbors talking through the walls, the elevator was broken and the breakfast was pretty poor.
Rooms were run down, chips and holes in the paint on the walls. Mattress and bed were broken and uncomfortable. walls were very thin. Could hear the person snoring in the room next to us.
The entire room smelled like urine, and the only thing clean were the linens. I didnt even want my dirty clothing touching the floor. Had to keep the window open and fan on all night just to keep from gagging from the smell. Most of the other guests i saw seemed like crack heads. Dont stay here.
Ok
Rooms were very dirty.
Nice room. Smelled a little like smoke
Bellis Inn 7-26-24
Friendly front desk staff. Room was basically clean, but two long black hairs stuck to shower/tub wall, toilet had not been recently scrubbed. Dried up, used coffee packet still in coffee maker. Elevator out of order on check out morning. Breakfast was good. Bed was super comfortable.
Room smelled TERRIBLE.
Clean and comfortable at a decent price. Breakfast sausages were really good.
Receptionist was rude and made me very uncomfortable. Smelled like animal urine. Parking lot was very sketchy and the bar in the hotel parking lot did not help. Did not give us enough keys or towels to accommodate the number of guests we told them we were coming with. And what continental breakfast?! They didn’t even have coffee or water in the lobby, which was concerning as the sink said to not drink the water for safety. Google also says it is permanently closed. Yikes! Do not stay here if possible.
My stay was good. The only complaint I have is the night front desk personal was very rude, and unhelpful. It was as if he hated his job. He lacked people skills‼️
The lobby attendant stayed over the night shift is terrible, he doesn’t know customer service at all, he shouldn’t be in the lobby, so poor customer service.
Nice place for the price.
Good value
This hotel was good value for the money. It was relatively inexpensive, but provided us with a good night's sleep in a clean room and breakfast in the morning. A short distance from the hotel was a park and some pleasant trails. We would go again.
Was getting strong living here by the month vibes from the customer base which made it seem like I was getting way overcharged for 3 nights there. Kinda dingy and run down but not loud or unsafe. Hot dogs on the breakfast bar. Still unsure if it’s a plus or minus.
Easy access
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Filthy room. I would not recommend this hotel to a flea. Run down and bare. Seemed more like a rent by the hour than a decent hotel!! Shame on you
We were talking at a normal level at 10pm in our room and got told we couldn’t talk anymore because they got a complaint. Staff was unpleasant, dingy place with lots of homeless people roaming around. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
A good basic place to stay.
We have been staying here for over 5 years. It is close to the hospital and a nice restaurant.
Comfortable and older hotel. The breakfast was not bad
I was initially offered a room that was occupied or not cleaned; then offered a room with inoperable keys. Then finally offered working keys. Tje room was straigjtened, but dirty. Hair on the linens, carpet was sticky, laminate on floor was pealing. And the room smelled.
Im not usually one to complain but the springs in the bed were pretty much poking out of the mattress. The continental breakfast had a broken waffle maker. The other hotel guests were loud until 3 am. The toilet took 4 flushes before going down and the sink was clogged. Low toilets! Probably not worth the savings in price unless you go in with low expectations.
Very good breakfast
