Awesome place to stay

We had a great overnight stay at the Bella Vista! The managers were very friendly and offered some helpful tips when we told them we were heading to the South Island after checking out. The motel is in a really nice part of Wellington with a nice cafe a short walk away and great restaurants a bit further up the hill. Would definitely stay there again.

Impressed with this convenient Motel within a $4 bus ride of Wellington city centre. A very quiet location and easy to park up and only a 17 minute drive to the interisland ( 7 am timings) Only has a microwave for cooking but enough crockery and cutlery to prepare a simple meal. Comfortable and large bed and well appointed bathroom. A good place to see Wellington from

The host couple are genuinely charming, friendly and helpful. Our studio had a modern tiled bathroom complete with heated floor and towel rack. The room was neat as a pin and spotlessly clean. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The service from reception (including the extended hours of opening) was excellent. The small details like organising a taxi or providing info on places to eat was done efficiently and with courtesy.

The location is great. Just a short walk and you are the shoreline of Lake Taupo. Most rooms have a view of the lake from the balcony. Room is large. Ours had a jacuzzi tub. The property also has a thermal heated pool year round. Great to soak in after a days drive.

Friendliness and helpfulness of management and staff. Exceptionally clean. Having a car would be an advantage but I managed very well without. Felt very safe.

Early morning aircraft noise

Especially liked the area map of Wellington and activities within the vicinity of the map coverage. Next time will remember to ask for a ground floor apartment.

It didnt have shampoo

The staff were amazing. They were friendly and helpful. My TV had a fault which I explained to one of the staff members. The TV was replaced that day even though it was a Sunday. Great service and much appreciated. A bus stop outside the property meant I didn’t have to worry about finding parking in Wellington city - always tricky.

Solid. Honestly a little overpriced for what it was but nothing to complain about with the place itself. Location is a bit out of town but if you have a car it really is a great spot.

Overnight stay on way to ferry. Nice quiet location, comfortable bed, room quite small but had everything we needed. Very helpful at check in, with great suggestions for eating etc. Overall great stay.

Easy late check in, good car parking available (other motels in Wellington have limited car parks), good location for our purposes. Potentially noisey with airport path in the Bay, but noise did not worry us. Lots of bird chatter - rather pleasant.

Very outdated room. Shower was average. Walls were very thin that we could hear the neighbours fan all night. Curtains didnt block out the light either which was frustrating. Location was good though

Small but did the job and was easy to get to and access after a late night crossing from Picton on the ferry.

Got upgraded from Queen to Kingsize bed by the very helpful reception lady. She was most accommodating as we were running a little late to book in. Good off street parking....for Wellington. Reasonable price and not too far from the City Centre either.

Our stay was lovely for a quick trip to catch the early morning ferry back. Made easier by the friendly service. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean and tidy.

The property is located in a low noise area and adjacent to the beautiful views of Evans Bay. Also located in walking distance is a great cafe. The property was easy to find and the accommodation room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The owners were absolutely warm welcoming and ensured our needs for comfort were to our satisfaction. They certainly provide perfect and professional hospitality to their customers. Most definitely recommend staying at the beautiful Bella Vista in Evans Bay Parade, Wellington.

Disappointing stay

I arrived to find my booking had been cancelled however I a room was found for me that was superior than that originally booked. The room was however very tired from a decor and lighting perspective and the the bath/shower had dirt and small rubbish in it. The bathroom window could not be closed due to part of the window frame being broken. The window sill also had paint which was peeling. The bed was comfortable. For $206 there is better accommodation available.

Close to the water, but still secluded

It’s position at Greta Point. So close to a lovely restaurant and a coffee shop also the bus stop just outside.

Two Night Stay

I arrived late after midnight and had to call to wake the manager to let me in and book in, there needs to be a better process in place for people arriving late.

The place is so handy to everything in town and the Eastern Suburbs. It is lovely and clean and quiet and the people (Barney and Bagi) are wonderful kind and helpful hosts.

Close to many attractions. Unfortunately weather did not cooperate so that we could enjoy outdoor attractions.

The staff and managers were lovely and could not do enough for you. They would even provied extree milk when need. But for us the bed was too hard.

Excellent location for enjoying the beauty of Wellington if you have a car Property is around 20 mins away from town however area itself is close to airport and marina area of Kilbirnie
