Perfect location! Central/downtown without being very expensive. Made popping out to shops/pubs/restaurants so easy. Our 3 day trip was to attend a wedding in Wanaka. We drove down from Christchurch so was great being able to park the car safely there. Will definitely stay there next time.

Very nicely located. Close to the places in town without having to be in the middle of the action. Quiet, nicely equipped, after hours Checkin super easy!

Great stay in an even greater location!

It was a great spot for us in our short time in Wānaka. I’m sure if the weather had been better we would have more to rave about, but this hotel met our needs just fine and it was clean and comfortable. Thank you!

Clean room. Little tight. Comfortable bed. Slightly dated. Large bathroom and good amenities. Walking distance to lake and restaurants.

Friendly and professional staff upon checking in. Spacious room with all new amenities, and within walking distance of town.

As with other Bella Vista motels this offered a well appointed room with a basic kitchen including microwave and good bathroom. Short walk to the lake.

Weekend Wanaka

Very handy location Central Wanaka, easy walking distance to main bars and restaurants. Clean and tidy.

Room was small, but clean. Location is perfect, just a block walk down to beautiful Lake Wanaka (we could see it from our room). I highly recommend it as a destination.

Easy find, as only an overnight work related accommodation wasn't in town for long enough to need all of the facilities. But comfortable enough for what was required.

Centrally located in Wanaka. Very quiet location nevertheless.Easy parking. Outside the room, there was an outdoor seating area. We made use of the laundry facilities.

The property is perfectly situated. It is close to town, which makes access to shops and restaurants very easy by foot. Despite its proximity to town, it was very quiet. Staff very helpful!

A safe and convenient place to stay near Lake Tekapo. Our host was awesome and shared knowledge about places to eat and see. Our room(2) was comfortable and well stocked. The beds were comfortable/sheets were clean. The only recommendation I would make would be to clean the mold on the ceiling in the bathroom above the shower. For an older motel this is a quant place to stay!

Very enjoyable stay, we liked being in town near the lake Enjoyed going to find coffee and crepes around the corner We found the convience kitchen very helpful to us as we prep our own food for day long treks

Our Superior King room was very small. It had all the amenities including a kitchen sink but space was very tight.

Easy stroll to the shops and eateries

Location is the key. It’s a no frills motel. Just simple amenities at value prices. Clean room good location. Check in and out self service. For independent travellers. Love it and will stay again

Great location, located right in the hub of town and less than 5 minutes walk from Lake Wanaka. Stayed in the winter and the heated blankets were awesome, alongside multiple room/portable heaters. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were generously provided in the room, there was ample utensils and kitchenware to cook up a decent meal. WIFI was strong, toilet was big, beds were comfortable. Booked this property super last minute (the morning of arrival) but had a very pleasant stay.

I've honestly never had such terrible/disappointing customer service. I was so excited to go to Wanaka, we decided to book when we arrived in Tekapo, but the next day the roads were closed so we had to drive home. I assumed the motel would refund the amount since it wasn't under our control and had been a last-minute booking anyway. Instead, they said I could rebook for another day - problematic since we live nowhere near Wanaka and I'm disabled (it takes a lot of planning to stay somewhere new). I asked again for a refund as this aligns with the Fair Trading Act, and they refused, saying I could only rebook in July. So I tried that and found they wanted to charge me double the original amount because it was a 'busy month' for them. I will be taking them to the tribunal because $200 may seem like nothing to them, but it's a lot of money to lose for me.

Location is the only real positive and value for money is ok. Room small despite being "one of our larger". Very noisy, clearly hear neighbours and outside. TV a waste of time (no sky).

Lovely clean room. Located right in town. Good check-in by owner . Will stay again. Enjoyed eating at Speights. 10pc off food and drinks with voucher from Bella Vista.

Fantastic stay at Bella Vista Wanaka - friendly, helpful staff who allowed parking for our vehicle and boat and even allowed us to leave the boat at the motel whilst we day-tripped around the area. The motel is everything you need to allow for maximum time exploring Wanaka and is located in the heart of town which is very convenient. Highly recommend the facility.

Our unit was very noisy and affected by noise from the adjoining unit, outside world and what sounded like plumbing. The cleanliness of the shower tray needed some improvement.

Loved the bath. Our mature dog was allowed on the property and slept in our car. She wasn't allowed inside which was fine..Very considerate owner. Great so close to shops lake restaurants.

You always know what you're going to get when you go to a Bella Vista motel, they all look the same and are clean and comfortable. Wanaka Bella Vista is no different. We enjoyed our one night stay.

Chose this hotel for its central location. Room is on the small side. There is only one bedside light and table. Did not find any tissues.

Perfectly placed right in centre of Wanaka, easy walking around the town, however you must be ready for the after pub hours yahooing going by!
