The Gardens and pools are beautiful. The food was and drinks were very good and reasonably priced. But the place does need some maintenance.
nice relaxing resort. The breakfast and dining was good. Was able to do laundry through the reception. The rooms and bathroom do need some maintenance to improve their quality. For example, shower and bathtub seemed outdated and the external plumbing was not clean. The walls in the bathroom were pretty dirty.
Service isn’t that great
Very nice! I would stay here again if/when I return to Ubud. Location is gorgeous and not too close to downtown, so it's relaxing and quiet. It's easy to get a cheap Grab bike or car to go anywhere. There are at least 3 pools and they're beautiful; I swam in them multiple times and it was so nice and refreshing (: The staff is so, so, so amazing, kind, and helpful! They were really accommodating. I got really sick (not from the hotel, just some super bad flu I picked up along my solo travels) and they called a doctor to my room, made me two different types of Indonesian porridge (I don't think that's even on their menu), allowed me to extend my stay the day I was supposed to check out without making me change rooms, let me check out late, and held my suitcase for me after I checked out so I could go shopping before I left Ubud. They had an adapter that I was allowed to borrow to charge my electronics (I forgot to buy one beforehand). Breakfast is good--lots of options! Facilities and rooms really need to be looked after more (pools need to be cleaned more often, shower by pool needs to be cleaned, many appliances in rooms need to be replaced/repaired, rooms need hot water for showers and baths, rooms do not have mosquito nets around beds, I couldn't get the TV to work but that might be on me and not the hotel, cobwebs are under every single bed/bench/etc, leaky toilet, needs handsoap in bathrooms). Good value, I loved it here! Nice AC (:
The rooms were very dirty, there was no soap in the toilet and staff very very unprofessional.
The pools and the views are fantastic. The rooms need work and are a little run down. It is a fair walk from town but is lovely and relaxed.
AMAZING
One of the best hotels weve stayed at and so affordable. The pool only had a couple people if any and they were all adults so everyone could relax. The suites are so nice and spacious and it was nice to watch netflix on the TV. Restaurant had great breakfast, dinner is quiet and most people get food offsite but staff was nice to bring dinner by the lower pool to us even when it started storming! So kind of them. We were told they had lunch too but when we came for lunch they told us they were closed so we had to scramble to find food. Luckily there are a couple restaurants acorss the street and it is about a ten min grab or scooter ride to downtown. There is so much traffic downtown it was nice to be on a quiet street. Across the street was a 7-11 as well, but atms are about a ten min walk for the closest ones so plan ahead.Overall great stay and book early for best deals! We thought about extending stay but price was $20 higher than when we booked, such a good find but too much on our backpacker budget
Great value for money for families. Clean, very friendly staff, beautiful surroundings. A little out from town but not a huge inconvenience to get into town by taxi or by bike/scooter. We booked a Family Room (Lumbung) online - 2 Adults & 2 Children & were put in a more traditional Balinese style double story room (thatched roof). Whilst it added to the Balinese & Ubud experience it wasn't quite safe for our younger kids with steep stairs & sunken floors. After a couple near falls, we asked if we could change our room the next morning & the staff were very accomodating & moved us to a more modern family room which was great. Suggest to request this ahead if booking for a family. Buildings & pools need a little maintenance but given they are just recovering from COVID shut-downs & getting back on their feet, it's not terrible by any means. Restaurant is not amazing & was very quiet, but again, so many other places to explore in Ubud so not a huge deal. Overall we loved our stay. Very friendly staff (especially Citri who really went out of her way to help us! Matur suksma!) the gardens, swimming pools & location are beautiful - even with the rain. Great value for money. With some time & money spent on facilities (& perhaps a shuttle service into town) this could go from good/great to amazing!!
Disappointing
Unfortunately this was easily the worst hotel we stayed at whilst in Bali and surprisingly the most expensive. The only thing the hotel has going for it is the views, the views are lovely but many places in ubud have fantastic views. The hotel is very run down it needs a lot of work doing to it and in my opinion should close and have the much needed work done. The walls/ceiling in the bedrooms are dirty, have lots of marks on them, our bath had been leaking, it was dirty. All the walls around the pool have cracks in them and chunks of plaster missing. What little bit of food there was at breakfast wasn’t great.
Good accommodation,staff need more skills
Everyone was lovely. The only fault I have is that we waited in Ubud for shuttle bus for an hour and no one arrived therefore leaving us to pay for a taxi. When arriving back at Beji we were pretty much called liars and told there was nothing that could be done.
Beautiful place to relax and unwind, friendly staff, clean villas & comfortable beds
Decent place - good location
The resort itself is nicely laid out with pools, eating areas and relaxing spots. However the rooms aren't very nicely decorated or laid out (very steep stairs in the middle of the room!) The first room we checked into smelled bad but the staff were courteous enough to show us two further rooms. The staff was very friendly whenever needed. Breakfast was decent. They do have a shuttle service every hour or so going to Ubud market, which was helpful. Also had an infinity pool with decent views of a tree line.
The views from this hotel are amazing. It’s only a 10 min drive from central Ubud. They run a free shuttle bus also.
Relaxing spot
Quiet yet close to town. Good pools. Good staff. Well worth a stay if you want to get away from it all. Very relaxing.
Great stay and good value for money
Beautiful hotel with 5 amazing pools and well kept gardens. Staff friendly, breakfast good for 3 stars. Rooms a bit dated but spacious and very clean for 3 star standard. Lots of good restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk from hotel. I give it 5 stars rating based on a 3 star and the cheap rate we paid for this hotel. Highly recommended if you on a budget. PS: ubud is in a jungle. Expect some insects, ants and geckos in your room. If you can’t handle that, stay at home! Unfair to give bad ratings to this hotel based on that. 🙄
Everything is perfect!!
Everything is perfect!! The place is so good for relaxing. Staff are very nice. They gave special things for BD surprise as our requirement.
Oasis
Awesome staff. Best pool. Could lounge here all day - some umbrellas would be a great addition. Lovely grounds/ hotel.
Everything were perfect except the food
Stay only for the pools
The deluxe room was much better than the family (lumbung) room. This room was spacious and large, with a larger than necessary bathroom, but needs a table in the bathroom to put all the amenities. But the room had an old musty smell. We had dinner at the restaurant which was wonderful except for one dish (the clear soup) which wasn't amazing. Spend all your time at the pools as there is not much exciting going for the rooms. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and had a nice selection of dishes, although i think juice should be free in my opinion. The pools are definitely instagram worthy and we did in fact get lots of epic shots at all the different pools this property has (esp the infinity pool).
come only if you want a photo with their pools!
This place is only good for taking photos at their instagrammable pool. Which is the one and only reason I booked this place anyway. The room we had (family lumbung) was right at the front close to the road, hence it was noisy as cr*p, you had motocycles, trucks, cars and who knows what else going up and down this road 24/7 and i guarantee you will not get a good night's sleep. We had the family room which was 2 beds downstairs and one king bed upstairs. King bed was very comfy and clean, complete with mossie nets. Bathroom downstairs was wonderful and large. Bathroom upstairs consisted of only 1 toilet and 1 sink to wash your hands. No mirrors, no amenities (i had to bring the soap up from downstairs). When you close the door please dont look as the door is disgusting and will put you off the entire place. The air con upstairs was broken but they had that fixed in no time which was no issue. The room upstairs had a nice little balcony which is plenty of room for 2 people, complete with views of the property grounds. However the room upstairs lacked any natural light, and the artificial light was not bright enough in my opinion, so i found it difficult just to unpack and see what's in my bags and luggage. if you plan to wash your face and remove your make up before bed please forget about doing it upstairs. Also the hot water system broke after 1 shower, but it was fixed in no time, however one of us did have a cold shower. The electricity also tripped out the next morning.
Ubud experience
The hotel grounds are beautiful, good swimming pools, rest area and etc.Not far away from Ubud center (30min walking distance). Safe to walk. However, the hotel requires maintenance attention: loose power sockets, shower mixer very difficult to adjust, not sure if the air con filters ever were cleaned. Breakfast included is average, the staff is not proactive refilling the food bowls, however, are very active selling extras: eggs and cocktails. Would assume that bacon and egg should be a standard composition. In general, it is average. Our previous hotel in Ubud was better value for money and way better condition. Improvements and maintenance attention are required.
Great relaxing place
View from the deluxe valley room was awesome and there's 5 infinity pools within the premise. Convenient location with 24hrs Circle K right outside of resort. Free shuttle to central Ubud that's about 15 mins drive out.
Beautiful n relaxed!
a very good view n relaxed to enjoy my holiday trip.
Nice Location
The experience was nice. Hotel staff is very kind. Location is excellent in the middle of the forest. Amazing Infinity Pool
Great stay
Fantastic stay! The hotel was so nice. The swimming pools are so unique and beautiful. The staff were very friendly. The food was great. Our room for a family of 5 was the perfect size
Bad rooms
Leaky roof. And no hot water could be better for the price
beji bagus
great hotel, just that little bit out of ubud centre, so quiet and peaceful. great pools and staff. definitely worth a stay here
Good Hotel some things could be improved
Idyllic setting and very relaxing and staff very friendly. Couple of issues regarding the frequency of the courtesy bus into Ubud town which are too far apart given the buses are often idle on the property. The staff don't always act on instructions straightaway but have to be told several times. Not sure if this is an issue of comprehension or communication between staff.
Best part is the pools.
Stayed for 3 nights in the family room ( Lumbung ). Most of these rooms are new except the one we were put in which was clearly older and not as spacious as advertised. After insisting on a switch, we were shown the alternate rooms which were much nicer and allowed to move. By far, the best part of the Beji is the 5 pools - all of which are unique, beautiful, and with different features. With the many pools this is a great hotel for families at a very good price. The small restaurant / cafe serves an ok breakfast and decent lunch foods. Better to eat out, but a great deal for the money. Nice location but you need a shuttle to get to center of town....which is an easy process with Beji's great customer service.
Quiet hotel away from busy centre
Our family thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this hotel and will be back again
Good value hotel
We enjoyed our stay at Beji Ubud. The pools in the hotel are lovely and the setting is amazing overlooking the valley. Staff are lovely and helpful. Shuttle into town is a good addition. The rooms are comfortable however a little dated. Overall a great hotel for the price you pay.
Nice hotel with great view, but theft from room.
We enjoyed our stay at Beji, most of the staff our lovely, the restaurant is ok and the views from the various cool pools very nice, especially the large pool down on the terrace looking over the valley. The driver who picked us up and returned us to the airport, Ketut, is a very nice guy. We very much liked the hotel even if it is a bit of a trek from the town centre, however on our last day we checked out early in the morning for a morning flight. Less than 1.5 hours had passed since checkout, we realised we'd left a bunch of things in a drawer in our room, such as iPad cables, camera charger, headphones, pens, earplugs, sleeping mask, etc. We immediately informed the hotel via email from Denpasar airport, and they then checked the room. Out of all the items we'd left (and there's no doubting what was in the drawer) mysteriously only the sleeping mask was found...nothing else was there. Well we know 100% what was in that drawer the night before we left, and for only the sleeping mask to be found means that someone either took the rest of our belongings, or simply threw them away (the latter seems quite unlikely to me). The most peculiar thing is that none of those items would have been useful to anyone in particular, and selling the used items wouldn't have garnered much profit. But to me they were valuable. The hotel did investigate, but found nothing. Unfortunately this left a bitter taste, someone at this hotel is very dishonest, and therefore not recommended.
Romantic and relaxing vibe
Very romantic resort and great for families. Wish they would not let people smoke in the restaurant though! Try and get a room away from the top end as near road. I highly recommend this resort and really relaxed there.
Great hotel, great position
We loved out stay, great position and lovely staff
hidden treasure
Beautiful quiet resort with amazing scenery! Rooms are large and clean and service is wonderful. Only downside is that it's a little too far away to the centre of Ubud
Awesome
Very friendly staff Nice location
This is a good resort overall..clean and quiet with beautiful views. The free shuttle service provided to Ubud town is a huge plus and adds to the overall rating. General upkeep of the resort can be better and it seemed like the resort was a little understaffed, although it did not create us any inconvenience. Lack of spa facilities was the only major minus observed. Restaurant service to be improved in terms of order to delivery time..Good pools and landscaping
relaxing
Nice, friendly staff. Calm.Relaxing
Quite locations, great views.
Breakfast was cold and not very good. Hotel is out of town, more shuttle services are needed. Hotel lacks a good vibe. Once checked in, staff lacked interest in serving guess. However has a great pools.
Lovely small hotel
We spent 3 nights at the Beji Ubud and really loved it. We had an awesome 2-story family room with a master bed upstairs and 2 singles downstairs. The kids loved having their own apartment, sort of! The pool and restaurant were great. It's a little outside town so you have to plan your comings and goings but we found it very relaxing.
Ubud 2015
We stayed 5 nights and had a great time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet location 10 min with the shuttle to ubud center. The shuttle frequency could be more often only 3 times in the morning and in the afternoon. With the 5 pools you always can find a place to relax
great pools
Stayed 3 nights. For every Morning showers we wasted 20minutes of running water before it got hot. Complained on day 2 and supposedly fixed but Not. Breakfasts included and And all hot foods were cold every day except for the individually made fresh eggs dishes. Dining staff exceptionally layed back and not keen to serve you. All pools are fabulous! Exceptionally steep steps to and from Valley accomodation with minimum safety rails.
Away from Ubud Central
Once we moved into the room we had requested, we were more happier. Rooms close to the street are incredibly noisy with the traffic, we were informed of this but yes - very noisy! Room was ok, a bit tired but comfortable. Pools and scenery beautiful. Just a little bit too far out for our liking as going back and forth with shuttles started to cost a bit. Overall, a nice place, have stayed in better but ok.
Lovely infinity pool
Great number of swimming pools with forest and river views Delicious breakfast Kind staff But we didn't like the famy Lumbung room due to all the steps inside
So many stairs!
The hotel itself was okay, however we booked a valley room and I wish we had of known the amount of steep stairs required to get down to them otherwise we may have rethought our decision. Definitely wouldn't book this room type if I had children or elderly traveling with me. Breakfast was disappointing. Not much selection and it was cold a lot of the time. We also had no hot water for 2 days and whilst we advised them every day of it, they didn't seem overly concerned. We ended up finding our hot water system for the room and turning it up ourselves but even then it wasn't hot hot.
Beautiful, quiet resort with panaromic views
There was a mixup with our reservation between Expedia and the resort. Dandy, from the front office, was very apologetic. He got on the phone right away and got us a reservation for the night at a sister hotel while he rectified the mixup for the remainder of the stay. He provided transportation to and from the sister hotel. The sister hotel was actually an upgrade. We did not choose the breakfast package upon booking, Dandy included that for us due to the mix up. The customer service was excellent. For the remainder of our stay we returned to Beji Ubud resort. It is a quiet, beautiful resort with panaromic views of the rain forest. The pools and amenities were great. It was a peaceful experience staying here. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Bathroom was clean and had all the facilities we needed. I would highly recommend this resort if you are in the Ubud area.
Paradise
Stunning views and position of Beji overlooking ravine. Love the infinity pools. Grounds upkeep immaculate . Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. My son loved his daily dose of donuts ! Rooms were beautifully presented and spacious. Gorgeous four poster bed in main bedroom . Could have more power outlets in the room and lighting in bathroom very dim. Overall, a quiet sanctuary set in magical surroundings in a great location close to some very nice restaurants and spas.
Beji Ubud Resort
I reckon the resort is a good 2 km away from Ubud centre. If you do not practice brisk walking and wish to access Ubud centre on foot, then please chose a place closer to the town centre. I stayed with my family for 3 nights in one of the Lumbung, a spacious two-storey traditional Balinese lumbung refurbished as a hotel room. I loved climbing the steep wooden stairs each night to get to the master bedroom that featured a canopy bed. Loved the balcony with its wooden carved doors and enjoyed from there the soothing view of the surrounding gardens and pools. The room was clean, my only issue was with the windows upstairs: dusty and a bit stained, they needed some cleaning. Room service was efficient. I enjoyed great chats with the service personnel in the evening. My only real issue is that I stumbled twice across dislodged outdoor floor tiles while on my way from my room to the breakfast area.
Wonderful & relaxing
This was my 2nd stay at Beji. I celebrated my birthday during the visit & the staff provided us with a cake & sang happy birthday to me by the pool. They also decorated my bedroom floor with beautiful flowers wishing me a happy birthday. It was very memorable.
Gorgeous paradise
Lovely staff, amazing setting! Staff were fantastic. Amazing views. Couldn't be happier. Travelled as a solo female. In my hurry to catch a ferry to the Gili Islands I accidentally left a large amount of cash in my room. I notified the staff and they kept it until I returned to pick it up. They were so lovely!
Very pleasant and coeliac friendly hotel
The hotel makes you Feel part of the nature, with all the comfort you would need and just 5 minutes by hotel transfer to the center of Ubud. Calm and quiet hotel and a really pleasant environment! Very friendly and helpful staff. If I decide to go back to Ubud some day, I'm definetly staying at Beji. I have coeliac disease and had no problem while Staying in this hotel. As soon as I arrived and talk to the kitchen about not eating gluten, they work on providing me a gluten free meal and to make sure to order to their supplier gluten free cupcakes for me for the following morning, so I would have breakfast options others then fruits only (what happens in many hotels).
Nice hotel not far from Ubud centre
The hotel was nice but if you don't like bugs avoid it. The staff very helpful and friendly. Great pools down the bottom with excellent views.
Facilities: Nice ; Value: Economical; Service: Courteous; Cleanliness: Pleasant; ubud relaxing!!! staff lovely!
Nice view 5 Pools!
Nice little cosy place. Excellent view and swimming Pools. Nice food. Close to centre of Ubud which is close to everywhere on bali. Also close to Naughty Nuri Restaurant ;-)
Facilities: Amazing Pools; Value: Affordable; Service: Remarkable; Dinner at LOL bar --Great atmosphere and Great music
I like this hotel :)
I definitely recommend to others this hotel!!! The staff are nice, the room is big and clean. The last day we were supposed leaving at 6:30am but the driver came late. We came to restaurant earlier than the open hour for breakfast. They iust so nice and smily to us. The receiption girls helped us to ring the driver before i asked her to do so. The hotel is about 5 mins drive to ubud centre but a walking distance to naughty nuri's, which was a bonus to us.
Beautiful and excellent
Such a beautiful boutique resort with welcoming staff. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. So stunning. I highly recommend this hotel. And the rooms are to die for! Big, spacious, you don't even want to leave the room it's so grand.
Lovely hotel - great views and pools
A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, very welcoming staff and superb views and swimming pools, would recommend and would stay again. Food was reasonable but better options further along the road to Ubud. A bit far out from central Ubud but in some ways better for it - very tranquil.
Beautiful hotel
The overall hotel, pools, surroundings, atmosphere and service were outstanding. Our room was clean and quiet. You need to get a taxi into ubud town but the hotel will organise that cheaply or you can catch the free shuttle service. The only issue that I had was that there were small gaps in the doors and Mosquitos could get in which meant I got badly bitten one night but after that I just sprayed myself at night too and was fine. The pools aren't heated either which meant they were very cold! ( but that's really splitting hairs!)
Facilities: Home away from home; Value: Affordable; Service: Courteous; Cleanliness: Pleasant;
Facilities: Outstanding; Value: A steal; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Spotless;
Great While On Campus, But Far From Everything
The room itself was grand and clean, save for the short time frame of hot water. The distance from town makes it either time consuming (60+ minutes) or costly (50,000 IDR one way), but the scheduled shuttle makes that a little easier. Breakfast? Bland.
Nice setting
Nice spacious rooms, kids loved the variety of swimming pools and geckos on the walls. Shower water pressure slightly erratic at times. Comfortable beds. Reasonably priced food.
Away from bustle of ubud but within an easy walk
Lovely resort. Beautiful surrounds, and lovely swimming pools. Staff do not connect with you though. We have stayed twice in 3 week period and they did not recognise us. Restaurant is average. Buffet breakfast looks great but not kept warm by the brain maries. Great restaurant acoss the road. Adi Asli. Location is great if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle. Almost jungle like setting. Lush and green. Easy walk to ubud centre or free shuttle.
Good value for money
The stay was pleasant for what i paid for. Nice little pools spreading around the rooms.
Beautiful grounds and beautiful staff!
Really enjoyed my stay! Was there for a yoga conference so the location was convenient for me, however it is a bit far from the centre of Ubud if you wanted to walk the town. With that said, it's an easy taxi ride and the hotel provides a shuttle. The different pools are awesome!
Facilities: Home away from home, Outstanding; Value: Great deal, Fantastic, Amazing; Service: Go the extra mile, Phenomenal, Outstanding; Cleanliness: Gleaming, Immaculate, Beautiful; Awesome breakfast, great friendly staff.
Quiet, tranquil, hardly any guests...
We came to Ubud for a different experience after being in Kuta. It was just what we were after, it was quiet, peaceful, tranquil, sat by the pool with only one other guest, hardly anyone around (must have all been in town shopping). Staff were perfect, room very clean and cozy, amazing views, decent breakfast, great service. I'd come again!
I suggest a 5 night peace break here will do you the world of good!
Wonderful infinity pools!
The hotel is located about 15min drive from the centre of ubud (geographically close, but traffic generally v slow). Jl Senningnan, the road it's on has lots of good restaurants. The hotel is right on the side of a gorge dripping with tropical vegetation, with views down to a small river at the bottom. The two lower swimming pools are infinity pools and you can swim looking out over the gorge. There are three further pools all interesting and set amongst the rooms in lovely gardens. Our daughter loved the pools. Food in the restaurant good and well priced. Room a good size with balcony looking out at the view (not all rooms have view, quite a few look out onto the pools / gardens at the top). Room very clean, although air conditioning could have been cooler and it was warm at night.
Facilities: Nice ; Value: Economical; Service: Respectful, Courteous; Cleanliness: Pleasant;
Comfy Beds, Good Service, Good Location
I enjoyed this resort, it was small private, located in a nice area just up the road from central Ubud. They had free transport. There was a nice coffee shop across the street and good nearby options for food. There was 4 pools available. My only complaint would be a barking dog at the next door neighbors and some roosters crowing in the early morning. However this is found all over Bali and replaces your alarm clock normally needed to wake up at 6am. Its nearby to a Museum also which is walking distance. i would stay at this hotel again for the price and locaion. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but good starter food eggs, fruit, toast. Great hotel for family on a budget.
Facilities: Outstanding, 3 pools! one infinity!; Value: Great deal; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Spotless; retaurants and scooter hire just down the road
This is our second time staying at this resort and we love it.
