No Hot Water, cold shower cold shave, atrocious got nothing from the reception when notifying them of the problem.
I'm a student again
Extremely convenient for Albert Hall last night of the proms. Room basic but adequate, my partner thought there was a bit of a smell (previous student occupants' trainers?) Price is unbeatable but would not want to pay any more. nice to see 'Clipper' tea in the room tea and coffee provided, the one we have at home.
Good option for a low cost stay in S Kensington. Room was hot but realised there was a fan on the desk the next morning! Watch out for the water - not drinkable.
Good value, great location
Excellent location for a night at the Proms! Friendly hall of residence opposite Royal School of Music. Twin beds & ample space. Would use again for any West/ Central London stayover.
Beit Quad overnight stay
Just used it to sleep in so all I can say is that the single bed is exceptionally narrow - spent most of the night holding on to the edge! Or hitting the wall that it’s wedged up to. Most items are worn - it is a student bedroom. Bathroom could do with a refit - it looks a little sad.
Beit Hall, told 4 star but actually Hostel.
The bed had a spring right in the middle of my back which caused me pain. Thin mattress. Bottom of shower, rusting. Paper mats inadequate. Dust on bed frame. Brick wall as a view. Good job I wasn't depressed. it was like prison. Maids nice and friendly, as was front desk staff. Very helpful. Actually just like hostel accommodation but much more expensive. Over $200 CAD a night. However, it was London, so one expects to pay more. Not close to Tube. Only one bus serves it. Uphill walk, if you have a bad ankle like me, not good. Pub good, poor food choices though. No other restaurants nearby. Breakfast ok if you like to hike to it. Would not stay there again.
We went to three Promenade concerts at the Albert Hall during our short visit so location couldn't have been better..Clean,comfortable room and very quiet apart from a little noise from the bar one evening. Excellent breakfast in the Sherfield Building just across the road. Arranged parking at Imperial College carpark close by. Good value. Would definitely stay again..
It scored on two points. It was not expensive for London and it was a short walk to the Royal Albert Hall. That was important because our granddaughter was playing Viola in the National Youth Orchestra on Saturday evening in the Promenade Concert. We only stayed one night on this occasion but will consider using Brit Hall again.
The stay was perfect for what I wanted, affordable accommodation close to the Albert Hall and to Sloane Square. It was basic accommodation, but there was great attention to detail.
The accommodations were very nice and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Would stay again
Perfect place to stay, right in the thick of things. Down the road from the V & A, Science Museum and South Kensington tube station. Lots of lovely places to eat nearby. Campus cafe was great. All staff were lovely and were always ready to help. Could leave luggage before check in and after check out. No frills but was clean and comfortable with water provided on day 1, coffee and tea in room. Minor complaints were poor internet connection on occasions, and no bulb in the lamp - which was swiftly rectified. En-suite was good to have but fixed high shower head was a drawback for me. Very good value.
Great location, very convenient for my destiation. Repairs needed to room - dangerous toilet seat with a sharp fixing protruding - reported. Basin tap loose and worn. Linen clean. Nice staff. Be aware this is tudent accomodation - do not expect 5 star luxury!
Everything was good except the fact the toilet was down the corridor, which I did know about, but didn't know would be so hard to find.
The accommodation was fairly basic but adequate for my needs. The room and public areas were very clean. Location for me excellent. Staff friendly.
Convenient and safe for the purpose of our stay! Really close to Hyde Park, the Museums and Kensington, so a great place to stay for anyone looking to explore London. Remember this is Student Accommodation so it's not flashy or fancy, but it does the job - comfy bed, hot shower and tea and coffee facilities in each room, in a great location for a good price. What more could you want? Also, the staff were lovely.
Brilliant location, very quiet accommodation, basic but exactly what I needed as a cheap and secure base to explore the Kensington area of London. Right on the doorstep of the Royal Albert Hall! Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable en-suite room.
Beit Hall 3 night stay
Beit Hall right beside the Museums - student accommodation but functional for a short stay. Lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was on par with a hotel breakfast too.
It's a college dorm very convenient for a good price in London.
Very good accommodation and close to the Royal Albert Hall.
Good Location Basic but Comfortable
Good location near museums and Hyde Park. Basic but comfortable room.
Ok for one night but very uncomfortable
For one of the top universities in London their accommodation is very shabby. Firstly, the address on Google and hotels.com is incorrect so took me longer to find the place. I was placed on the 4th floor and given incorrect directions to my room. It's a typical student room that is very used, carpets are old and the bed was more springs than comfortable. Worst part was the heat. Sure middle of summer but the temperature difference from the ground floor to 4th was bafflingly. A very uncomfortable night's sleep with a window that hardly opened and a fan that just pushed hot air around, I reckon it was around 25 degrees in that room. The blind was also broken. For one night as a solo traveller it was fine but I wouldn't want to stay there any longer than one night.
I wanted to stay close to the tourist spots and this was the only option in my budget. Honestly, if I could redo my choice I would just find a cheaper hotel further out of London and come into the center each day with the underground. The room was cramped, the beds were uncomfortable, the toilet didnt flush properly, there were no outlets in convenient areas and the small fan was insufficient during the hot July month. I paid close to $600 USD for a stay of 4 nights so it wasn't extremely cheap either.
In a pleasant location. Maybe just a little too far out for some people, but a pleasant hours walk into the heart of the city
Good nights stay
Was a really nice stay. Very noisy outside until 11pm as bar emptied out. But then absolutely silent. Really good nights sleep. Beds comfy. Generally very clean. Just bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.
Excellent location in South Kensington near Hyde Park and station. Good price and lots of cafes and restaurants.
the accommodation is so much better than usual London hotels for this price range - the condition of the room is decent, there was a cleaning service, reception was helpful, excellent location. I could come again
bad mattress’s
Mattress was horrible. Springs dig into your back.
Beit hall.
Very friendly and most helpful staff . Didnt get much sleep on friday night due to an alarm going off which we believe was no fault of the staff. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Good Low Cost Accommodation
If you are looking for good, low cost, accommodation with great access to the sights this is a great place to stay. The only downside is that you do need to realise that it's normally student accommodation - the furniture and fittings are a little worn and dated, there's no air con (but there's a fan); having said that it's spotlessly clean.
My recent stay
I received a very warm welcome on arrival. The check-in was friendly, informative and very efficient. Location is brilliant. Room was great. Breakfast good. What else can I say?.
Cheap drinks on site with lovely young crowd.
Neighbour to the Albert Hall!!!
If you are looking for somewhere basic for a night’s sleep, that is close to the Albert Hall then this is ideal. We attended a late night prom so a great location.
Proms Concert
We were going to the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall and it was so easy to walk there.
Location is great, price is great, beds were terrible, very uncomfortable which meant bad sleeps. For this reason we probably wouldn’t stay again. It made for tired days in London.
Convenient and a good location
Beit is a convenient place to stay at a good price in a great location, if you don't want all the trimmings . I use it when I just want to have somewhere to sleep
Overall, an OK place to stay in. Location is really good, but don't expect anything fantastic in terms of amenities or facilities. Stayed in a double room with en suite toilet. Rooms were a bit small (no space to put suitcase) and so was the toilet. Cleanliness were alright and rooms were cleaned every day, which was good. However, the toilet did not have a proper drainage system so it flooded often. To make matters worse, we were not provided with a floor towel. If you're looking for a basic but affordable (relative to the rest of London) place to stay, this is a good bet. If you want luxury, then it probably isn't. +Fantastic location +Good service +Daily room cleaning and replacement of toiletries +Comfortable bed +Cupboard space -Small room -Toilet floor wet very easily -Flush a bit hard to use -Stuffy corridor -No fan/air con -Noise from courtyard until 11pm
Ideal of Albert Hall and meuseams
Very helpful staff. It really does feel 4star (they have their own branded toiletries). However, not so good for those with poor mobility, the lovely helpful staff moved urms from a room acced only by about 12 steps after taking a lift to one accessed by 6. Twin room spacious. V handy for Albert Hall, and meuseams. Esp as have left luggage.
Great location, staff around. water was the only issue, can't drink what's in the room and no access to the kitchen, but would go again!
This is exactly what it says on the tin...university student accommodation. Its basic but you get what you pay for and the location , right next to thd Royal Albert Hall is fabulous. My room was clean ( but clearly 'lived in') with a single bed. The bathroom was basic with a small shower with a small.fixed head. On the plus side, the breakfast was fab , although it was in a different building a short walk away. Staff are happy for you to leave your bags but this is just in a common roon where pretty much anyone could walk away with it. Would i stay again? If i was trying to save money i would because it was a clean, safe bed for the night.
It was well located and was what I expected for a student hall of residence that is being used as cheap accommodation in London.
Location excellent for Kensington and Royal Albert Hall. Appreciate availability of student facilities - restaurant and bar and swimming pool excellent. Bus outside door and Underground nearby
Room was smelly, bed lumpy, no TV & no air conditioning ( fan provided but insufficient). Ground floor by road had window which couldn't be locked. Couldn't add breakfast on arrival, only option was at the time of booking.
Great location and reasonable value. Nice bar and eating facility. Room size not too generous. Cannot drink tap water in bathroom. Security surprisingly lax by modern standards.
Great location, suitable and clean accommodations, great price.
Receptionist are not quite friendly. No air condition in the summer, too warm to sleep. Check out time is 10a.m., too early.
Very dissatisfied.
Ground floor room with brick wall and some old tank view through dirty window and iron bars. Furniture that didn't fit. Poorly cleaned and rationed toiletries. Water 'not fit for drinking' yet over 4 nights only given 500 ml of bottled water. No supermarkets near. No television yet have gall to charge £91 per night for single room. Not as pictures which are old.Oh electrics. Two trailing sockets. One of which didn't work.
Good for price and location
Good points: excellent location; cheap; friendly SU bar; standard room; luggage storage option. Bad points: room not replenished properly (had to ask for shower gel after 1st day); water in room not drinkable from tap (had to buy big bottles of water); breakfast is served in the senior common room of Imperial College (in a separate building).
Traditional building with a bar close to Hyde Park venue for BST. Good feel about it.

This really is a dorm room, so no TV, no valet for luggage, no air conditioning (but there are fans). Fairly long walk to room, no hair dryer, but we did have daily housekeeping for room. The location is great for visiting the natural History museum, science museum and art museum. There is a pub open with some food. Bus stop is just out front. Price was great for this location.
