Had a great three night stay. Small kitchen area in room. Huge modern bathroom, comfy bed, lovely linen. Big fluffy towels. Room serviced daily. Outdoor balcony with table and two chairs, very roomy. Good size parking space. Elevator. Really great couple running the business they were very helpful and kind. They are doing a great job. The hotel is modern, roomy, large windows, views to the Alps in the distance. Heated towel rail. It is a marvellous Hotel. 15 minutes walk to the centre of CHCH. I enjoyed a 2 hour walk each day from the hotel in different directions and the environment is leafy and nice. Great stay highly recommend.

Great location as handy to cbd, restaurants within walking distance and casino not that far away...would recommend a unit away from the road as traffic noise can be a bit of a nuisance...unit was modern clean and tidy. . Bathroom had a great shower with good pressure....bed was comfortable...would certainly stay again

This is hands-down our go-to and favourite accommodation in Christchurch. It ticks pretty much every for us and exceeds expectations in so many ways. The hosts are so friendly, helpful and accommodating and the value is unbeatable. We've introduced friends to this place too who are now also huge fans. Why stay anywhere else?

This place was great, had everything plus extras. Biggest shower I've ever used and the pullout mirror in the wardrobe was amazing.

Think we pay enough for a room without having to pay for parking also, breakfast isnt as good as it was a couple years ago. Used the spa and pool was cold:(

There was plenty to like re location, outdoor choice of seating, space in main room, and large bathroom. Felt there should have been more surface space around the handbasin to put necessary items on., Shame the floor of bathroom got SO WET, made it slippery and dangerous. Lighting was poor in bathroom, especially for ladies applying makeup etc.

Handy location

Easy check in with friendly and helpful owner who showed me to my room. Good sized room and very modern fully tiled bathroom. Some of the other guests were a bit loud. Good location for work.

A wonderful two night stay commencing with a warm and friendly reception. The room was immaculate , spacious and with fittings of top quality. It was great to have access to a lift, a bonus for us. The room was well presented and fully serviced the next day by cheerful cleaning staff. James and Kathy are to be congratulated on running an excellent motel and being extremely forthcoming with their customers. Having had and run a large motel ourselves for ten years, now retired, we did recognise a good and well organised operation with this motel. We highly recommend this one , Norman and Carole

Comfortable stay

We have stayed at the Prince of Bealey before that found it very nice indeed. The Bealey Plaza is run by the same people. The rooms are a bit smaller, but very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and the shower was lovely. Kitchen was small but had everything you could need and more, definitely would not complain about the kitchen. We just mentioned one thing to the staff and that was that someone had put Garlic in the fridge and it had left a very strong smell. The bed was nice, a little to hard to our liking but very comfortable overall. Pillows were great. All in all a nice room. We had a balcony but unfortunately overlooked a very busy road. The lift is a great too, not always found at a motel. Great price too. We would stay here again for sure.

I was in Christchurch to deliver a series of seminars and the Bealey Plaza was a great central location, plenty of room to work at night, a balcony and quiet.

Great stay. Close to the CBD. Only negative was the sofa and chairs were a little to hard. Would stay again.

Well situated, within a leisurely stroll to the CBD and Hagley Park, and a very quick walk to Thai Container (highly recommend). Very clean, tidy with excellent amenities. Hassle free check in and check out.

Perfect for a one night stay

This was the second time we've stayed here, the first time was great so we thought we'd stay again. It was literally just somewhere to sleep and it ticks all the boxes for that purpose. A comfortable bed, a good shower, free carparking and wifi and a reasonable price. The hosts are very accommodating and I would definitely stay again in the same circumstances.

A convenient, spotless motel.

An excellent motel near to the centre. One downside is the bathroom although very smart there is nowhere to put anything. Eg toiletries. A shelf or two would be very useful. Aircon worked very well.

Upon arrival an exceptionally clean and tidy room. Comfortable bed and everything that we needed. The rain fall shower a plus. The reception Manager/staff were personable and helpful. Close to the city center of Christchurch and a beautiful park a five minute walk away. You’ll enjoy your stay.

Motel was great although the room we had was right at the front of the complex so was quite noisy all night long - no reflection on the motel itself - just something to consider if we were to book there again

Sleek finishes

Unusual motel in that the finishes are rather high end for its type of establishment. The fire exit door between our room and our neighbour's did bleed a fair amount of noise, but otherwise a superior motel experience, especially at the price. Also enjoyed the fact that one could easily walk to a main street with a number of restaurants.

Overnight stay in Christchurch

The receptionist was very helpful and hospitable. Our 2 rooms were accessible, well decorated, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Good parking. The location was within easy reach of the highway and we were able to walk into the centre of Christchurch (10-15 mins) to do some sight seeing and access restaurants.

Modern motel, but we were given worst room

We spent one night here and were put in a ground floor, dark, handicapped room and weren’t given any options to move. The room smelled a bit of curry from the night before, but was modern and clean.

The owner/property manager was an absolute legend! Super inviting right from check in. Friendly, welcoming & very hard working - he was always out & about over the 2 days we stayed - working around the facility, cleaning, welcoming others. Always smiled and waved when we were coming & going.

I arrived later than expected and very tired after a through-trip from Europe. Was immediately shown to an immaculate, quiet and well-appointed room, - ground-floor as asked. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Top marks.

Everything felt brand new and was attractive and practical. The staff were helpful beyond my expectations. The location of the motel was perfect for my needs. My bedside lights didn't work and I didn't have time to approach the staff about this but I assume they would have addressed this if asked.

The room is a reasonable size for 2. Very nice & clean. Well equipped kitchen. Location walking distance to casino but abit to far to walk town or supermarkets.

Totally suited our purposes and they were very obliging when we needed to make a date change at last minute.

Overall the room was good, nice bathroom,well equipped kitchen, comfy bed. However we found the settee very uncomfortable and though there was sleeping for 4 ( 2 rooms ) and spare space in the lounge area there was only really room for 2 to sit down unless you sat at the table.

Really impressed by the helpfulness of James, the operator, which made us feel very much at home. The property is within walking distance to good cafes and restaurants. Will definitely stay with them the next time I visit Christchurch.
