Out of power resulted in defrost ice

Mold on the door / bathroom. The room smelled like a smoke shop. No remote for the t.v.

Disgusting. Read all the reviews I concur with all of them. Less than one star. TV didn't work, no towels. Yucky floor. Sheets had spots of little stains. Comforter had cigarette holes. The critters that hung out side were loud and smoked the wacky weed. Very scary. My door jamb was barely hanging on. And the finishing nails were exposed. Missing some trim. It would appear that the door has been kicked in.

Good just the restrooms can be updated.

One of the worst stays I,I've ever had, from the dirty bed, roaches, loud women(hookers?) talking all night outside the door, broken shower head dripping all night, smell of cigarettes, even though there is no smoking allowed in the room. Id say more but having to write all of it down would be as inconvenient as staying in this room.

Underwhelmed at best

Room was over 80* and even with the air conditioner set at 65 it never got much under 80 any day. The floors were sticky, there was no shower head, and the TV only had streaming service options for you to log into your personal ones.

Nothing unique.It was ridiculous to have to leave a $100 deposit in cash for such an awful place

Roach infested dump!

Roach infested dump! They didn't clean, dirty underwear left behind. Broken showered head. Every shower it sprayed out of the shower flooding the floors. Total nightmare!!!!! Worst experience. I want my money back!!

Our room was inhabitable. It was damp and musty and covered in mould on the wall. The curtains were covered in moisture from condensation off the window, there was mould around the mirror and the seams of the walls and it stunk like must and mildew. It felt unsafe staying so we checked out and left.

Room 217 had sewer smell

We had a pleasant stay at Super 8 Barstow. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a good night’s rest after a long drive. The location is convenient, with easy access to the highway and nearby dining options. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch to start the day. Overall, a great value for the price, and we would definitely stay here again

Maintenance man and the housekeeping team very friendly and helpful. Two men at the reception intimidating and the very next day I was told there'll be extra payment. Which wasn't part of agreement, while booking my stay. Other words, once you're there the price might go up. The room very unpleasant to be in. I'm sorry.

Well .first there was cockroach.than nasty sheet on the beds than the water in toilet and sink got clogged .it was just gross

I don’t understand how these places stay open showers dirty so is sink and fridge AC barely works. Check in dude is chill but doesn’t seem like he’s doing much for the property so why not be chilling. Pretty bummed on stay and cleaning plus my car doesn’t seem very safe.

really disgusting I was booked three days. I'm just one because it smell really bad inside. All the mattress is like if they pick up on the trash, it's really really disgusting. I am not Recommend this place.

I was the victim of an attempted robbery there and the hotel owners did nothing for me. I called the police and they came to the hotel and filed a report and I have proof. It is a bad and unsafe hotel and after the holiday I will talk to my lawyer to complain about you, Expedia and the hotel.

It's very downgrade room. The curtain has several we hope it's not gun shot. Homeless is outside. The elevator has some smell. I know it's 2 stars but it should be better than its condition. Don't stay overnight. I don't feel safe. Luckily I stayed only couple hours. And there's several rules but it's first time ever I had to put $100 cash deposit 😳

The smell of mold and urine hits me as soon as I open the door. The bed itself is heavily discolored from whatever it is, and the three pillowcases are filthy and stained. The restroom is disgusting. The parking lot is full of questionable individuals. It's really ghetto.

I arrived at the hotel about 10 pm from Disneyland. Pulled into the parking lot. And it was completely full. Mind you this is a big hotel. But their clients are people who live there by the mont. do they have people staying with people and no parking for overnighters. I turned around and left. Didn’t even check in. Got another room. And lost the money I paid for Beachside My recommendation don’t book here. You will be disappointed. 😢 I am a single mom and work hard for my money.

Bathroom was dirty, had to bring mybown bathroom cleaner and clean the tub myself.

Charged me 20.00 a day (2 days)for each day booked for early check in which i thought was ridiculous, also, the restroom was not very clean, bought my own bathroom cleaner/disinfectant and cleaned it myself.

It is decent if you need a place to stay but we did have roaches throughout the room. We will not be staying there again.

When you first walk into the room all you smell is mildew and mold it causes you to cough and can't breathe. Went to office and told them they said they just cleaned it should be fine and I asked for air freshener or something to spray and receive a empty bottle of fabreeze. No towels besides two big dirty ones nothing for the floor for a shower. Shower has mold growing around it, mirror had mold, walls had mold. Sheets and bed stained and dirty. Could go on with with a lot more....

Do not book, there was roaches in one of the two rooms we got, the other room had a group of men arguing next to it, was not safe , or clean , the pool was super dirty, the sheets were definitely not clean there was a hole in one of two blankets mold in the bathrooms the walls where dirty and it had a strange smell . If you have kids you will not feel safe here. Attendant acted like he was unaware of everything and we only got one of 2 days refunded even tho we where there for “2” hours we literally arrived dropped off our stuff and went to eat came back and all this happened so we where there less than 30 mins but had checked in for a total of 2 hrs

Parking was non-existent for a late check in. Air conditioning did not do heat at all. Cleanliness did not seem a priority. The room stayed musty as all else.

Worse Place Ever!!

Absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in Roaches(multiple) crawling in the bathroom, dirty sheets we didnt notice until the bed was unmade, no remote for TV. Floor of room was dirty and used soap next to sink. They have Residents that live there and were hanging out in the parking lot also hanging out in front of rooms. Random screaming and yelling, shady characters walking around. Charged me $20 cash for an extra parking spot due to us having two cars and there was no where to park. People parked all over the place out of parking stalls and blocking people in. The only positive is the hotel is close to all so we got out for most of the day and I booked only one night so found another hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. GROSS AND DANGEROUS.

Pillow case was dirty and the sheets as well and when I wanted to use the restroom the toilet seat had some stains . I only need to room to sleep the night but there was no tv I was told the room was being worked on.now that think about it might be the reason why I was coughing a lot of night .

the rooms have fungus in the bed, all the rooms smelled so bad. I couldn't stand the smell for 2 minutes and I didn't stay overnight.

Cigarettes burns throughout the linen, torn off fire alarm on the ceiling, cracks in the flooring as if it was burned. At times there was bugs flying around the room, the bath tub was gross as well. I saw on the inside of the door this was a previous Motel 6, overall do NOT recommend. It was the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. This hotel should not pass city inspection, it’s really bad. It’s not worth anymore than $15 a night and is also filled with tweakers and/or homeless.

Gross, terrible wifi, try not to get murdered

Arrived on site later at night, people were in the parking lot staring at us the whole time, felt unsafe. Got our room, it was DISGUSTING, hair everywhere. The mattresses were covered in plastic so the bed was crinkly, and the door to the parking lot didn’t close all the way. Asked for the room to be cleaned but they said there was no maid at that time of night. Asked for a different room but they said we had checked in over 15 minutes ago and could not do so. I asked to clean my own room and after calling management they said yes, they opened the cleaning closet and there were ROACHES crawling on the cleaning supplies. Had to leave and stay somewhere else but this place wouldn’t give me a refund so I had to pay for both places, when I tell you the room was disgusting, it was DISGUSTING. Never never never stay here.

Stayed there only because I already booked.

First of all, at the time of booking a room. The king bed dissapeared, and the price went up.second. requested extra pillows and the sttaf said they did not have any available. Then we checked the room within 15 minutes and found the room so dirty: spiderweb everywhere,on ceiling,corners.toilet ring (black color) inside the bowl, loose items left under the beds.tv monitor with 18 white color round shape rings/marks. The basefloor was not swept for days.

Their is a few i like about the staff, they were helpful with late check in. However is was dirt environment and rooms. Everything was unpleasant from cleanness of the room to the other on site tenants foolishness. Never stay here. Pass this place up on the internet sites. Horrible experience

The toilet was leaking they did not go provide housekeeping daily like they say and then did not knock to vacate the room charged 20$ an hour after that was not said in the beginning (we were tired and over slept) also because all night and day the room upstairs it sounded like they were having a dancing party without music or were under construction. It was hard to go to sleep without music or the tv on even like that we were able to hear the steps other than that the pool was great the room did not smell bad tv was ok

Tv and microwave didnt work

Please do not stay here, especially with kids. -urine EVERYWHERE outside -BLACK MOLD in the bathroom -CRUSTED DRIED BLOOD on blankets and sheets -Ambulence, fire dept, and police cars were in and out of the hotel ALL NIGHT!! First thing I noticed was the strong smell of urine as we were checking in. Urine puddles (I can tell from the smell) along the halls. BLACK MOLD EVERYWHERE in the bathroom (ceiling, wall, shower, bathroom sink, bathroom mirror). Strong odor of artificial fragrance and tobacco throughout the room despite getting a smoke free room. We were exhausted from being at Disneyland all day that My family went straight to shower and sleep. I did not notice the filthy, crusty, bloody, disgusting sheets and blankets until the next morning. I would have left the night before and demanded a refund!!! I have been booking with Expedia since 2019, I may never use this site again after this experience. I know my research, I only saw good reviews at the top of the page when I booked and the hotel had a 3.5 star review. As I made my way back just now to write a review, suddenly and "magically" all of the negative reviews and 2 star rating appeared. I have no doubt I was cheated by the "algorithm" or whatever other AI programs sites use now. This hotel should be ashamed of themselves and Expedia should be more careful about which places they list on their site. I have pictures of EVERYTHING I just mentioned, I could not upload them to this review unfortunately.

If you need a cheap place to stay this is your five star pick. I've been Lyfting for motel money and this former Motel 6 is better than the 6s in this area. I can take a shower without stooping over because the showerhead is at least 6 feet high unlike the Motel six showers. Their rooms are also bigger than Motel six rooms. In conclusion, save money and stay in Motel 6 classic the Beachside Inn.

the staff was great, but the property was surprisingly unclean... the room was still dirty, the air conditioner rusted over, the sheets were ripped, the room smelled like cigarettes, etc. was not a fan of the space.

The Beachside Inn is the perfect dive motel when you need to save money it was an old Motel six and his is in many ways better than the current Motel six is as the classic room lucky has been kept. The staff is excellent. They’re always polite and always give you a hand. When you need one am I Pin and I will stay here as many times as I can

The Beachside Inn was an old motel six and in some ways still is especially with the price you’re paying a lot less than the other motels and you’re getting a comfortable room and like the classic Motel six the shower is tall and up for a regular people like me at five and 5‘9“ is excellent. I would recommend this place.

A lot of roaches under the bed and bathroom toilet was not working. Asked to change the room but another room was not available until the next day. Paid for 3 nights to stay, but only stay first and 3rd night only. Choose this motel was to offer lowest price however, did not expect roaches and broken toilet.

from the moment I walked in to check in at the front, the door was security locked and there was a drunk man trying to get in and was walking around on site with alcohol. The grounds were absolutely disgusting. Dirty. People drinking and doing drugs, working on cars in the parking lot... The room itself?? Dont even get me started. Roaches. the walls were disgusting. blankets full of cigarette burns. The room smelled horrendous. Everything was absolutely disgusting and dirty. if I could give it a negative 5 stars I would!

I believe they have bed bugs. If you get the room online they charge you 100 deposit if you pay them is only $40 deposit. Not in the best condition but it will work for the low price of you don't mind being around hookers

This property is not fit to use as a motel. it is completely dilapidated and should not be in business period this isn't even a place where the homeless should be housed. Trash everywhere. The rooms? FILTHIEST EVER SEEN. Fire alarms? No batteries. They require $100 cash deposit?

Rude front desk agent, I guess he lives on the property so he didn't appear happy. I booked through Expedia and he told me I couldn't check in until 3pm, so I waited 2 hours outside after I had just arrived from a 5 hour flight. When he allowed me to check in 10 minutes earlier, he decided to be argumentative when I mentioned most hotels allow 1pm check in. He said I should have booked in person rather than Expedia. There are 8 other hotels on this street, take your chances on a different one.

Would not stay here again . Employees were rude. Did not see a maid in sight and rooms were dirty and covered in mold. Sheets and towels were not cleaned and cigarette burns on them. Cash ONLY deposit and employee did not have an answer as to why this was required.

The staff was super nice and friendly towards us when we first showed up. We got to the room and it was extremely dirty. The floor was so dirty I picked up a ton of dirt and grime on the bottom of my shoes/feet. The bed had no real bottom sheet on just a top sheet wrapped around the mattress and under the top sheet was a mattress that was filthy and BLACK. Super stained. The pillows were stained, etc. there were no tables, no couches, just a shelf and a mini fridge so we couldn’t even unpack. We ended up checking out about an hour after we checked in due to the dirtiness of the hotel and the area it was in to go find a whole other hotel.
