Lovely property , host was very helpful with providing map and option for supper.

Great location in a quiet spot and within walkable distance to the local town and beachfront. Room was clean and free parking onsite right outside the room was a bonus! Bathroom was long and thin so was a little difficult to manoeuvre around inside but absolutely fine to manage for one night. Bed was comfortable enough for one night. Easy check in/check out process - all in all a good place to stay!

Lovely host and property that is near the beach, dining and amenities. Property is slightly dated but well kept with a nice kitchenette for cooking.

Rooms need updating, but it was quiet and passable for the one night we were there.

I’m not sure why this property gets so many tens out of 10. Either people haven’t stayed a lot of hotels or their standards are very different. It is a basic hotel that meets basic needs. The rooms are adequate size. We stayed in room 15 which faces the street and as a result the configuration is slightly different because we had an extra window which causes some difficulty. For example, because they use curtains and not blinds the curtains flick over your head all night even if the windows closed which it is because it’s locked and can’t be opened and your head while trying to sit up and watch TV is resting on a windowsill also when you’re eating at breakfast the curtains flick over your bowl and cups easy solution get blinds. Some other issues other size of the vanity which is so small that the only way of putting a toiletries bag on the vanity is to put a towel in the sink and put the toiletries back in the sink. Towels are also on the wrong side of the bathroom. They should be on the shower side not above the toilet. Bathroom is extremely small. So when you look at these things not sure why it keeps getting turned out of 10. It’s basic. I would score an eight at the highest. Location wise it is two streets back from the main street so reasonably quiet and no real traffic noise at all. It’s an easy walk to the beach and restaurants and cafes within the street. There is no daily housekeeping. You can ask for extra towels take coffee etc.

Friendly helpful staff and spa bath was a bonus.

A fabulous family owned motel a 5 minute walk to the beach but far enough away you are out of the noise. Motel was tidy and well kept with a lovely family running it. Look forward to booking again in the future.

We stayed for a night. The property was walking distance from the shops and restaurants, however, it was very overpriced for what it was. Room was tiny which would not have been a problem but it was very dirty. The fridge was mouldy, there was hair in the sink, and I had to clean the toilet seat.

Not as well supplied in the kitchen as most (no microwave). Bathroom had a tiny sink and extractor fan noisy.

I booked this hotel at the last minute and didn't have high expectations. When I arrived quite late, the associate at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful and upgraded me to a lovely room with cooking facilities and a microwave. It was a real little gem and I highly recommend this great hotel.

Comfy and secure property within a very short walk of the beach, cafes and restaurants and IGA. I had a spa studio which was lovely and I loved watching the footy from in the spa. Staff were friendly, the room was very clean and had everything that I needed, including a microwave and stove and best of all…I could hear the beautiful sound of the ocean at night time. I loved it so much that I’ve booked again for September:)!

The lady at check was amazing and made wonderful suggestions of sites to see and spots to eat that would have been missed without her.

Love the location in quiet neighborhood, 2 blocks from Great Ocean Rd. Staff very helpful, on-site laundry very handy for our travel style.

We’ve just spent almost 3 weeks travelling around and this was our last hotel stay of many. What a pleasant surprise, the room was huge, self contained, clean and had a wood heater and a spa! Only a couple of minutes walk from the main strip, parking outside the door. Definitely up there with one of the better ones. We’ll be back for sure!

Reception was non existent, room keys in a lock box. Rooms are in need of a makeover and are dirty, cobwebs in the bathroom. The air conditioner in our room didn’t work and through the night the loose fan rattling kept us awake. Would highly recommend you do not go there.

This motel was very clean and well maintained. It was a lovely stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

Convenient and Quiet

Stayed 2 nights. Very comfortable, generous size room and very clean. Short walking distance to shops and cafes etc. Very quiet and all on one level

The room was so small, no space where to put one piece of luggage, mind you two of them. Everything was so crammed, including two folding chairs in the wardrobe. The washroom was like a tunel, door overlapping with the end of the bed, sink was a joke, one cannot even brush teeth over it without banging the head against the mirror. Supplies for shower were one sampoo and one conditioner, for 2 ppl staying there 2 nights, plus some towels that needed some love, or at least a decent cleaning. No room service to take garbage out and replenish supplies. The laundry room was dirty and smelly from the one microwave oven there. A hostel would offer better conditions... all this for the price of about 300$ AU, for 2 nights.

A nice motel that warmed the exceptional cold Nov

This is our first oversea stay after covid and yet I felt like homecoming. The kind reception lady (re)introduced what lovely Apollo Bay can offer. Kitchen is spacious and clean. Bathroom fitted with heat lamp warmed the exceptionally cold November. Bed fitted with heating pad so it is a plus!

Quiet Neighborhood, loved it

Great location in Apollo Bay. Quiet neighborhood but close to all the stores and restaurants. Loved Apollo Bay and the Great Ocean road. Seals and sting rays in the harbor and a few great fish and chip shops as well as bakeries. The owner was friendly and had good recommendations. Stayed here a second night on the way backed.

A nice property

Large spacious room, with everything you need to do your own cooking. The property is reasonably priced and well maintained for its age. The only downfall was that we were kept awake during the night due to the fireplace flue rattling in the wind.

It was exactly as expected and what we needed. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.

The room was clean spacious and very warm. The kitchenette was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was big with a great shower. The location was within a short stroll of the town.

We loved our stay. The owners were friendly, our room was really spacious and well appointed. A short stroll from the esplanade and beach but you can still hear the waves from your room. Highly recommended.

Convenient to dining facilities and the golf club which was the reason for our stay.

First night we stayed at the motel did a review which I normally don’t do and the next morning the manager was knocking on the door asking us why we did a bad review. First tried to tell her if I could come to the reception and talk to her there but she just wouldn’t listen. Told her I wasn’t comfortable talking to her in the room when the door was left open and the other people walking by could see me and I was not dressed appropriately as I was still in my pj’s but she did not care about my dignity or pride. She just continued with her demands. Told her we weren’t happy cos the sheets had holes in them, the shower was leaking, no microwave in the room, & etc and instead of taking the complaints as a constructive way to improve the facility she took it as a personal attack to her. She told us to leave but we had no where else to go. So I had to apologise few times to convince her to let us stay there as there was no way we could have found something in such a short notice and we only had one more night left. Even when I asked her for extra milk on our first day she said there’s IGA down the road so we should get it from there. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The service was not good, the room was ok. The wifi password did not work and when I told her this she was like ru sure u spelling it correctly. I said the password back to her n spelt it out but she wrote it down in a paper n gave it to me again. I feel she treated me this way because of my skin colour.
