Great location

This review is for The Rock apartment, not the hotel. The air conditioning did not work in parts of the unit, though an attempt to fix it was made. The sleeper sofa's are NOT comfortable to sit on as a sofa. (I have no idea if they are comfortable as beds.) Otherwise, the location is great for the Acropolis/sites and restaurants, and the unit was spacious, quiet and clean.

Be My Guest Athens is very centrally located. Clean and comfortable. Lovely bakery right across the street and a supermarket is attached to the hotel. Very convenient. The staff are very helpful and kind. The cleaning ladies to their job well. I would stay here again.

Hotel situated in pleasant location with easy access to cutural sites and restaurants.

It was not a touristy area, but was a close walk (13 min) up the hill to the Acropolis and some nice restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly. A nice breakfast and other food and beverage items were available. The rooms were nicely updated and had everything we needed. The reception and dining area room was a bit tight. Our room was very close to the main area and we had to walk through the tight area to exit. Not a problem except when crowded at breakfast time. Rooms off the main floor might be more private. Very affordable. The roof top was lovely to use. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place, great rooftop terrace, recommend

This place was in a great location, restaurants just up the street with superb night-time views of the Acropolis, and pretty easy walking distance of everything. Mostly very well maintained, with a really nice rooftop terrace and enjoyable breakfast there. We liked the packaging of breakfast - everything served in little reusable glass containers. I'm not sure it saves any energy, but at least they're trying. We had a one-bed suite, for three people, and unfortunately the pull-out bed in the living room collapsed twice - I'm 170 pounds, maybe it would be OK for a kid. We stayed two different places on this our first visit to Athens. When we wanted to extend our stay, we would have been happy for extra nights here, but they were full. We went to an apartment instead, which was closer to the busy tourist area where there was a lot more happening - it's not necessarily better because harder to park and a lot noisier. For nearly-retired, this was a better location. The apartment though was fantastic, with a lot more space for more or less the same money (but we lucked out there, I think it was always booked too). I'd say in either this area, or more southwest towards the tourist area, you couldn't really go wrong for location.

Great location and price. Excellent staff, allowed us to check in early. It’s a 16 room (hotel) Opted out of Breakfast it looked a bit under whelming Beds/amenities etc are find for a 2-3 star place. But we only needed a place to sleep so no issues

Foul cigarette smelling apartment..

We stayed the the Rock- be my guest apartment. The communication from the staff was good and prompt. Access was easy with our late arrival and early check out times. The location was good and within walking distance to Acropolis which was lovely. The property itself was not of high cleaning standards. Particularly the pungent smell of cigarettes engulfing the whole property making it very hard to get a good night sleep. The smell was reminiscent of an 80's night club. Though there is a clear sign stating no smoking. We had all windows open and air-conditioning on to help eleviate the odour and circulate air throughout. Aside from the foul odour, the place is spacious and in a great location for food and culture.

Clean, quiet, reasonably priced and within walking distance of many tourist attractions. But a bit Spartan with very few amenities.

Great place to stay

The location was superb for a touring holiday - walking distance from everything, in a really nice area with fantastic restaurants. Hotel was good and the room was fine......needed a few repairs, but mostly good. Staff were lovely. Breakfast had a lot of things but would have been better with fresh fruit options. Breakfast seemed overpriced for what it was, but still fine. There is a bakery right across the road where we got a nice breakfast and coffee on a couple of mornings.

Lovely location walking to many restauants and metro stations

We loved our stay at Be My Guest -- it was one of the highlights of our trip. The apartment was very spacious -- two rooms, plus an extra pull-out bed in the common area. A full kitchen that made it possible to make our own breakfasts in the apartment. The apartment is near the main sites of Athens (Acropolis, etc.) as well as many smaller restaurants. We'd be back for sure.

Staff were great! Near to most of the attractions.

The hotel was perfectly located for our first trip to Athens. The only issue was the air conditioning wasn't working very well in either room.

Spacious, sunny 2 br apartment with very comfortable beds, and a laundry machine too! Fantastic location! Tiny kitchen and bathroom. We would’ve appreciated tips on how to turn on lights in building stairwell/hallway, and how to use the washing machine. Overall, a terrific stay.

Our room was lovely, very clean and an excellent shower. The location is walkable and central -- close to major sights and superb dining options. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and thoughtful and the breakfast is outstanding! Highly recommend.

Loved so much about this property . Negatives /are lighting is so poor really poor plus because we stayed 8 nights the breakfast never changed / boiled eggs were always cold and well over done ! Hope this helps 😊

Comfortable small boutique hotel away from the main tourist areas. Easy walk to the Agora, fair distance to the Acropolis but public transport is cheap and fairly efficient. Staff were very friendly. Good breakfast at reasonable price

Excellent experience

Everything was great in the hotel, all the staff were very friendly and helpful- the boutique feeling was lovely. The little touches like teeny chalkboards explaining each breakfast item and cute jars with jam were so nice. Christine effectively organised our collection from the airport, felt very safe with Angelos driving, and everyone on reception couldn’t do enough for us, including storing luggage after our check out.

Friendly staff, hotel close to major tourist exhibitions. Love decoration details in the room. I'll come back again.

Nice, comfortable hotel in Thissio

Loved the Thissio area. Great cafes and restaurants and close to everything by foot. Wished breakfast started earlier, as we could not try with early itinerary. Room was nice with fridge and sink. Great service.

Fantastic place to stay in Athens

My wife and I and our two kids had a wonderful time at Be My Guest and would stay here again should we return to the magnificent city of Athens. From the moment they picked us up at the airport (right on time!), we knew we were in good hands. The staff was extremely helpful, and the Rock apartment was clean, spacious, and in a cozy little part of the city, next to everything (a very short walk to restaurants with an incredible view of the Acropolis!). They even recommended what became our favorite restaurant in Athens, and breakfasts there were simply delicious. We would highly recommend this hotel.

It was a good place to stay. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Agoura and other sites extremely close

We had a really nice stay after being able to find the hotel. Although they were kind enough to send us directions and we had googled it, the streets were very confusing. It would be very helpful to have landmarks given for future guests. Also, we were told on our reservation that breakfast was included but there was a sign that indicated that the breakfast was 10Euros, so we were confused on that issue as well. Overall, the staff was wonderful, friendly, and courteous, our room was clean and well apportioned.

Perfect stop over in Athens

Clean and neat hotel and the safe were very friendly. We didn’t order the breakfast but it looked very good with a wide variety of options. The hotel was close enough that we could walk every where. And the neighbourhood was quiet and we couldn’t hear anything at night.

Super friendly staff make this clean and updated property one I'll come back to. The neighborhood is also my new favorite in Athens!

This hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of the major sites. The hotel staff and drivers made many great recommendations about places to see. They were also super helpful in coordinating our airport transport. Room was a great size and very clean! This is a hidden gem hotel!

Excellent apartment, well situated and great value

We stayed in the 'Rock' apartment which is a short walk from the main hotel. The nearest metro is Thisseio however we found the apartment in easy walking distance (10-15mins max) from Monistiraki Square and the Acropolis so was able to explore all the main sites on foot, although the metro is modern, cheap and easy to navigate. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and informative. The apartment was clean, well equipped and perfect for a family of 4. It was cleaned daily and felt safe and secure. Good wifi. The apartment was excellent value for money as well and I would highly recommend it. There is also a decent supermarket literally next for to the main hotel. The only small negatives that could be improved would be a security safe to avoid carrying items unnecessarily and a recycling bin for plastics etc.

Perfect stay

I was very fortunate to find this place as a last-minute booking, not realising how amazing of a place it truly is (most of which is mentioned in previous reviews). Location is excellent for walking to most places and public transport access, and even going for night walks to the Acropolis, if one feels like doing so. And there is that afore-mentioned bakery across the street. Room was clean and perfect — good-sized room, washrm, & shower; good lighting; lots of hangers and space to hang clothes; a small desk; good wifi, comfortable bed; efficient temp control. There is a mini-fridge if you want to buy your own food and a nice, common dining area to eat (where they also serve their big breakfast). However, it is the stellar staff that really made a difference. Everyone, from Reception to Housekeeping, are all so kind and friendly. Reception staff are multi-lingual, knowledgeable, and give excellent recommendations. Email communication was also prompt and thorough, which was very much appreciated. Thanks so much to Mara, Chrysa, Yorgos, Harissa, Yorgos#2, and ?Alex (I think) at Reception, with an extra-special thanks to the first three who helped me with some travel issues on my last day, and with setting up my phone service, respectively. Ευχαριστώ πολύ! The only downside of my stay was that it was not long enough!

Nice simple and pratical hotel. It also has a cute and relax roof lounge where you can chill. Staff 10/10. Room 8/10. Area 9/10 --> close/walkable to touristy areas in athens; walkabl to Metro lines. Many shope around. Very nice cafe the other side of the street.

We had a great few days in Athens staying at Be My Guest, and the friendly support of the team at BMG was a factor in this. They were happy to help to receive a delivery for us, enable us to leave early for a day trip and to store our bags on our unexpectedly longer final day in Greece (a side benefit of cancelled flight!) Breakfast was great, with good use of reusable glass etc. for jam, butter, etc. and some delicious yoghurt, fruit and pastries (we've since looked up a recipe for the filo triangles!) The only real drawback for us was that the pavements in the area were tricky to navigate with a wheelchair - the hills we coped with OK. But appreciate that this is not the hotel's responsibility and once we were 100m east and into the main areas of Athens things improved. Lots of restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk was a real benefit - most with Acropolis views. Talking of which we loved the mural on the rooftop terrace! Also easy to access the Metro - 10 minute walk from Kerameikos, 5 minutes from Thissio. Air conditioning in the hotel was excellent - cool from the moment you enter the front door - and very welcome in 35 degrees. Thank you to everyone on the team for a great first visit to Greece!

Lovely and modern.

Staff was wonderful and they had a beautiful little rooftop area. The area is close to LGBT venues and also equi-distant to acropolis; there is a bakery across the street that got many visits from me. I loved that there was a balcony and that the door opened partially for a nice breeze. Only improvement was the shower got water everywhere and only had a small divider to keep water out of the other areas.

Very good hotel to stay at convenient to acropolis

This is a surprisingly cozy hotel. Very charming front desk staff, very friendly & helpful. Rooms are a bit small, but I have no other experience in Greece to compare with. However, the rooms are well laid out and appointed. I had a small balcony overlooking the street, and yet the room was quiet. Highly recommend this to anyone (although families may find the rooms a bit cozy).

This is a lovely boutique hotel really well located in relation to the big sites. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it. It is clean and comfortable and has a roof top terrace as well as a balcony where you can relax after your busy day sightseeing. Excellent friendly and helpful staff as well. We also appreciated that right next door is a grocery store so you can pick up drinks or snacks. Thanks for helping make our trip to Athens really enjoyable!!

Very close to the center of Athens and all the attractions. Great apartment for 5-6 people. Cheap. Its a family unit separated from the hotel (across the street), located in a resident house.

Staying at babe My Guest was perfect. Wonderful breakfast. Service 24 hours for any needs. Bakery across the street, fruit market beside us. 10 minute walk to restaurants & main square.

Fabulous! Highly Recommend!

Excellent location. In the evening when the sun is cooler and the crowds have left, it is a gorgeous walk (less than 1 km) to the Acropolis. The hotel is very new, modern, and clean. There is a fabulous rooftop patio, and it is located quite close to a train station (although we chose to taxi). The staff were so incredibly friendly, and it was a wonderful experience.

All good (except the boring and pricey breakfast)

Everything about this hotel was very good, friendly, comfortable, clean, well located and I would absolutely recommend it and return next time İ'm in Athens! However, the breakfast was expensive and not very interesting... for what it is, it should be included in the basic room rate.

We booked this hotel for a simple place to sleep prior to catching an early flight home. The location and hotel were both as expected. The bedding and bathroom were clean and modern. The room needed some detail-cleaning. The hanging ceiling light was very dust and the edges/corners of the room needed some attention. We left so early, that we weren’t able to take advantage of the included breakfast.

The rooms are clean and large as the bathroom and the shower too, the furnished balcony is the top. The beds are really really comfortable I slept like at home. Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum as well as many many restaurants are a short walk away. The breakfast here was delicious and all the Staff is helpful, kind and extremely professional: they take care of me every day.

Excellent, except...

Be My Guest Athens has a lot to offer--great location, comfortable bed, helpful staff, good breakfast, good bakery opposite, easy to access by metro (Thissio station). Our only complaint was that after an initial spurt of very hot water, the shower water was lukewarm. The staff was unable to change this. It has to do with the gas heating system and the thermostat. It was the same in two different rooms. Other than this the hotel is a very good value.

The place is perfect. Feels like home especially that the reception is at the thirs floor. You get inside the building as if its ur own apt. Thats super cool . Location is super good close to everything and its 5 min away from gazi area u can take the metro straight to the airport from there . The only thing that i didnt like was the internet . And i explained to the staff because its not just the wifi even the vodafone internet did not work that was frustrating to me. The doors also should be more soundproof . Becos once any gets to the hallway you can hear everything.

The property is unique and modern. The service staff is great. The bathroom is beautiful. The beddings appear immaculate but I was bitten by bed bugs on my 3rd night which was only verified when I left (right side of the bed). Please look into it before it becomes an infestation (I was assigned room 201). Otherwise it was a good experience.

Nearly great

The lock on our door broke on the first night. We reported as we left and was told it’d be sorted. However when we came back it wasn’t and we had to wait about half an hour while several people tried to fix it. Apart from that issue it was great

Great location!

The hotel is located in a residential area but very close (10 min walk) to Acropolis. It is also a very short distance to the local flea market, shopping, tavernas and pretty much anything else you want to see. The room is new updated and was very comfortable.

Good value for the price.

Good value for the price. Clean with very friendly staff. Location was convenient to Acropolis but not much else. Only drawback was the area was a not clean or inviting. Lots of graffiti and garbage on streets - not the fault of the hotel but of the city in general - saw many other areas that looked just as poorly.

A solid place to stay.

We had a great stay at Be My Guest Athens. It was clean, comfortable and there was always someone on duty to help with questions. It was in a good location close to the major attractions and many restaurants. The rooftop garden was very nice. Considering it was one of the lower-priced places to stay in Athens for that weekend, we were very happy.

Good value hotel in awesome location.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel during to proximity to concert venue. I had seen all the positive reviews but was still very surprised by the quality of the hotel given price and location. Have already recommended to friends as the perfect option for central Athens if on a budget.

Location can't be beat. But everything else was very good. It didn't include breakfast but there was always free coffee and tea. And there was a small electric kettle in the room as well.

Great Hotel

Very clean hotel! Comfortable stay, near all the main attractions in Athens. You can walk to all the main spots. I would stay at Be our Guest again. Loved it!

I stayed at this hotel twice while I was in Athens. The transportation from the airport to the hotel was very easy and convenient that we arranged through hotel . Our driver was very friendly and helpful. It's a wonderful hotel with the perfect location. You are in walking distance to all the attractions like the Acropolis and close to the metro station. There are many restaurants and shops all around. The hotel is very clean and very comfortable. The fridge has free water bottles and coffee and tea. Across the street from the hotel, there is a very lovely bakery, which offers an assortment of fresh bread and sweets. Right beside the hotel, there is a grocery store, which is very convenient. Overall, my stay at this hotel was very lovely, I would highly recommend this place to anyway staying in Athens.

We had a great stay here in Athens. This is near everything! Lots of great places to see and great restaurants in walking distance. There is a grocery store right downstairs this hotel. Would recommend!

Great location

It's a fairly new hotel less than 10 mins walk from Thissio Metro Station and the Acropolis. It's location is also excellent for walking to restaurants, shops and markets however, finding the hotel at first maybe a little tricky as it is hard to spot in the quiet, narrow Nileos Street, but if you look for the small supermarket that it is next door too and look up you will see the sign above the doorway and the hotel balconies. You will need to press the Intercom to enter the building and take the lift to the 3rd floor where the reception is. Once inside you will notice the modern, minimal decor and the upbeat music. The room is spacious and comfortable with simple furnishings along with good size bathroom and large shower. Our room also had a nice balcony with street views, good WiFi and Air-Con. The hotel also provides optional breakfast and has a rooftop terrace with a side view of the Acropolis. We enjoyed staying at this hotel for its convenient location and room comfort. The Staff are friendly and helpful and will assist you in anyway they can. We are happy to recommend this hotel for your stay in Athens.

Great Location

Great hotel. Very personal. They made us feel right at home from the start. It is very near the Acropolis in a very nice neighborhood. We felt safe all the time, even when walking the streets after midnight. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, contemporary design. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again.

Very nice, centrally located hotel in Thissio

We stayed here twice while visiting Greece and liked it very much. Although the rooms are on the small side, they have everything you need and the decor is modern leaning to funky. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody. Excellent location close to Acropolis and good restaurants/bars, felt really safe no matter whether day or night time. Lovely room with a balcony. Mini bar but free water every day. Comfortable bed and quiet nights sleep. Hotel staff really friendly and helpful tried to help with everything, giving directions, organising transfers etc. 10 our of 10.

Amazing Stay, Amazing Staff

The room was spacious, clean, and beautiful. Despite being in the the middle of a incredibly busy city, the room was somehow very peaceful and quiet at all times- inside and out. We felt safe and secure, and comfortable asking any questions we had to the staff at the front desk who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in answering every one. They spoke great English, which greatly helped us. They cared to ask if we needed help or assistance with things we honestly didn’t even think to ask, simply to make sure we’d have the best time possible while we were there. They were all genuinely kind and happy every time they saw us. The one thing that seems to be a recurring problem throughout the entire county and no fault of theirs, is the weak WiFi signal. I could be wrong in that, but we had this issue at literally every hotel we stayed at, so it appears to be a result of the communication towers. We will definitely return here, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! A huge thanks to everyone there for being so wonderful!
