Great property with great staff (plus the dog)..

Thankyou for waiting for me and hosting me. I will come again. This is a B&b it’s a shared living space with private rooms. There is a dog and there are people chatting around you so expect that! But the hosts are nice, the rooms are good and I enjoyed my time there. People need to read reviews and prepare before booking places. Yes it’s not in the centre but who wants to be in the middle of all the noise? I don’t! I walked 15 mins and it was great. Thankyou to the girls for their welcome and kindness and I will def come again and recommend!

No cold water. Crumbling facility. Needs renovation.

A bit off away from the center but close to the airport. Complicated check in and series of doors / keys. Communication is good though and the cleaning lady is nice. Breakfast limited. Recommend for very short stays and if you are budget conscious.

The property was quite hard to find and in a quiet dark street which as a solo female traveller, felt a little uncomfortable. Once inside though, the room was fine for my needs if a little basic and the lady at breakfast was lovely

Der BnB-Besitzer Alessandro ist ein unfassbar netter Mann, welcher keine Fragen offen lässt! Super Lage, einer der besseren Ecken Catanias Zimmer war außerordentlich groß für 3 Personen - Das Zimmer war für unseren Geschmack dreckig. Die Bettdecken hatten Flecken und es roch nach Hund, weil Alessandro einen großen Kampfhund hat. - Die Toilette war zu eng. Die Belüftung war extrem laut. Es dauerte mehrere Minuten, bis man halbwegs brauchbares Warmwasser bekam. - Schlechter bis hin zu gar keinem WLAN-Empfang - Betten sind zu weich. Rückenschmerzen sind vorprogrammiert. Ich würde dieses Hotel definitiv nicht erneut besuchen. Für eine Nacht war es gerade noch aushaltbar. 2/5 Sterne

Great services!

I liked the B&b which was clean ,safe ,generally quiet ,and only about 15-20 minutes walk from the city's main thoroughfare ,Via Etnea .The staff were friendly though only one or two could speak good English.I thought the cost of the accommodation was good value for money and I would recommend it to any travellers on a budget like myself .

My friend and I stayed here around late July to early August and it was a pleasant stay. Staff were approachable and friendly. Alessandro was very helpful with excursions and taxi bookings and even recommended restaurants close to the area. Upon early arrival before check-in time, the room was thankfully ready. Our room was decent with all the basics needed and had no issues. Breakfast was really delicious. A selection of sweet and savoury pastries, fresh fruits, mozzarella and tomatoes, bread, a selection of jams, cereal, hot drinks and fruit juice. The staff even offered to make expresso or cappuccino which was nice. The B&B is very close to some tourist spots in Catania. You could take public transport, but my friend and I decided to walk and explore.

This place is terrible to stay for even one hour. So dark, old and not very clean. Do not deserve this place.

The Sicilian Experience at B&BTra L'Etna e il Mare

Alexandra the owner was an excellent hotelier and very friendly and helpful, also his son Ricardo. I shall miss the BIG evening meals we had together and the Mount Etna climb with Alexandra. Hotel small but very clean and tidy, breakfast was a pleasure. Excellent food and wine in the restaurants, great value, and very friendly. Sicilian hospitality is excellent.

Very Wonderful and Responsible BnB

Actually it was overbooking but the owner was very nice to take full care of us due to another BnB dishonoring it's confirmed reservation and refer to her friend downstairs for another BNB, which turn our very good. Good service, breakfast and convenient to all attraction in old town

My stay at B&B Tra ...

The room is clean and simple, small for the single room. Breakfast is nice, a lot of choices of food. The manager of the hotel was there to help, nice stay overall.

By far the best value...and the most authentic.

The only place to stay in catania... the owner is a jack of all trades....an amazing host and also a tour operator for Catania... and knows all the best local secrets for inexpensive quality resteraunts and entertainment... 10 minutes walk to all the major sights... highly recommend this bed and breakfast....free wifi...free breakfast...and the only place in catania with free parking (if you have a car rental)...everyone else charges at leat 15-20 euro per night.

Ottimo bed and breakfast, abbastanza centrale, pulito e accogliente.. Buona colazione e a breve distanza dal centro raggiungibile a piedi.

Il Signor Alessandro e il figlio sono stati gentilissimi e disponibili. Ci siamo sentiti a casa e mio figlio si è divertito tantissimo con il loro simpatico cagnolone ! Grazie di tutto Irene, Dario & Elias

La struttura ha una posizione molto comoda per raggiungere il centro, Villa Bellini e diversi bar e ristoranti a piedi. La camera era pulita, spaziosa e il letto comodo, forse il bagno avrebbe bisogno di qualche piccolo intervento di rinnovo, ma nel complesso consiglio assolutamente questo B&B, anche per i ragazzi che lo gestiscono, molto gentili e disponibilissimi.

I had a wonderful time in Sicily, thank you! The host is wonderful full of sicilian hospitality and the room was actually better than I expected. It was clean, spacious (high ceiling) and comfortable. There was even a mini fridge and air conditioning which I hadn’t realized before checking in. I was traveling by myself as young woman and felt very comfortable staying there.

We had a lovely stay with Ricardo, who was very helpful and service minded with all guidance needed after just arriving to Catania and Sicily. The place is nice and clean and the location is within walking distance of the most popular spots in Catania.

Buona camera in quartiere così

La camera era molto pulita e curata, semplice. La casa discreta. Il quartiere un po’ popolare, a 800 metri dal parco Bellini e via Etnea, su una strada di condomini con cortile privato per la macchina. Non certo un quartiere dì residenze di lusso. L’ospite è stato davvero piacevole. La sua spiegazione sintetica su Catania è stata più preziosa dell’intera guida touring… Colazione da lui preparata eccellente.In somma il rapporto qualità/ prezzo / simpatia pende a favore della sistemazione,

In realtà non posso recensire il b&b Tra l'Etna e il mare in quanto il proprietario, senza dirci niente, ci ha sistemato nel B&b Macallè lì in zona. Dietro nostra lamentela, essendo l'altro b&b molto più spartano e malridotto rispetto alle foto del b&b che avevamo prenotato, ci è stato detto che il b&b dove ci ha sistemato è migliore in quanto al secondo piano e con un balcone sulla strada... In pratica ha cercato di prenderci per fessi.In conclusione, fate attenzione a non farvi bidonare!!!

No está mal en la relación calidad precio. El personal que nos atendió fue sumamente amable.

Super accueil ! Grandes chambres !

Nous avons finalement passé deux nuits dans ce B&B. L'accueil a été très chaleureux. Le propriétaire a passé beaucoup de temps pour nous indiquer tout ce que nous pouvions voir dans la ville. Plein de conseils et de recommandations. La chambre de la première nuit était immense avec une hauteur sous plafond impressionnante. Ils nous ont trouvé une solution pour la deuxième nuit (c'était complet au départ) en nous changeant de chambre. Il se sont chargé de déplacer nos bagages. La deuxième chambre était moins grande, mais très grande pour des standards français ! Le petit déjeuner était très bon. La rue extérieure est un peu quelconque, mais vous pouvez choisir cet établissement les yeux fermés, l'accueil est génial ! Merci.

Die Lage nahe beim Zentrum von Catania ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss ist Perfekt. Zimmer Frühstück usw. war alles Gut. Das Auto konnte direkt bei der Unterkunft in einem abgesperrten Bereich kostenlos abgestellt werden. Die Familiäre Ambiente und die guten Tipps für Ausflüge und gute Restaurants waren Super.

Struttura molto semplice, ma con il vantaggio di essere vicino al centro ed un prezzo competitivo. I proprietari fanno di tutto per aiutare l'ospite e consigliarlo. Valido per un soggiorno senza fronzoli, ma con tanta sostanza

Ottima location

Esperienza molto positiva....ottima zona centrale con possibilità di parcheggio per raggiungere a piedi il centro storico. Ottimi i consigli gastronomici e culturali da parte del gestore Alessandro e del figlio, sempre gentili e disponibili.

I gestori sono stati cordiali e disponibili, la camera è spaziosa e pulita. La mattina la colazione era eccellente. L'unico appunto è per la doccia senza un box per separarla dal resto del bagno.
