I can’t rate the place itself because we never did find it, even using GPS. Finally gave up & grabbed a room elsewhere. It might be a nice place to stay, but it is hard to find & if GPS is to be believed, you’ll be hauling your luggage on foot a good bit.

Excellent location and nice staff.

Good location with a nice terrace. Check-in was delayed by 30mins.

Don't be put off by the outside of the building, once you've climbed nearly 60 stairs the door opens on a very nice sunny terrace where breakfast was served. The staff were pleasant and helpful, our room was spacious with plenty of storage. We had to share a bathroom down the corridor but it was clean and not a problem for one or two nights. Some of the surrounding streets looked pretty run down but we soon realised that everywhere in Catania is covered in graffiti so the area was probably not as bad as we feared. It's only a five minute walk from the duomo and the main sights.

The room location was great. Clean room and premises. The owner was accommodating of checkin and also let me store my bags for hours after check out. My only complaint is wifi was very very slow. As a solo traveler that is one of the necessities and it was a little disappointing on that aspect.

Very friendly staff and manager. The location in Catania is excellent, and a really good area For restaurants and other amenities.

A fine place to start our Sicilia journey....

This was a wonderful choice for our first night in Sicilia. Michele and his wife were gracious hosts, the Bnb was in an excellent location, the bed comfortable, the room quiet, and the breakfast on the terrace delightful. The one help we would offer is that Piccadilly House is located on Piazza Vincenzo Bellini, almost directly across from the Teatro Massimo, Catania's Opera House. Knowing that might help you avoid the confusion we had in finding it. Otherwise, highly recommended, and we would stay there again without a doubt if we were ever to revisit Catania. And whatever you do there, try to get to the fish market. It was easily the highlight of our stay!

This hotel is perfect, the location is outstanding

Great location

Lovely staff, the guy who organises the breakfadt very kindly gave us a lift to the bus station for the next leg of our trip. Excellent location in the historical district, many nice restaurants close by.

Not a reliable lodging, no staffing in low season

After reading the positive reviews, we booked this place for one night layover in Catania. I sent 2 emails days before arrival to notify them about the arrival time ( 7 PM), but got no replies. The day of arrival, we arrived ( 7:00 PM) in a large old empty apartment bld with door shot and no way to get in. We needed to borrow phone from the bar next door to call the proprietor, who appeared 30 minutes later. She was pleasant but not apologetic for being late. She obliged when we asked her to book a taxi to airport for next day. The airport drop off offered by the BnB ( 10 Euro) was not available cause the driver "had a flu". After returning from dinner, we found a note left in our room ( she is long gone), stating that we need to have our breakfast in the neighboring cafe cause the "cafe machine is not working". Next day morning at the cafe, we were old that we were entitled to one drink and on pastry only, we will need to pay any extra. The worst part, the taxi never showed up and since no staff around, we can not call for help. Luckily, a tax was dropping a passenger near by, he took us to airport for 28.00 euro. We almost miss the flight.

Highly recommended, a group of friends from the UK

After a long journey around the mainland of Italy, we flew to Catania. Staying at the Piccadilly house was an amazing experience! very friendly staff who looked after us very well in an area where english is not very commonly used. rooms were comfortable and bathroom was large and clean. we woke up late and thought we had missed the breakfast, but they still provided us with a hot and tasty breakfast.

Convenient and Super Clean hotel

The room was very spacious and the bathroom was super huge. Room was absolutely clean and fresh. The property is within walking distance to the center without the noise of the center. We walked everywhere. Breakfast started a bit later than we are used to but in all it was a great stay.

Convenient B&B

A very quaint, safe, well maintained B&B in the heart of Catania. Michael and his staff could not have been nicer. Would definitely recommend.

Good location for small price

The B&B is in a very good location and the couple that run the place are very helpful. Their English is good enough to get most things understood. The room are on the 3rd floor, but they will help bring up heavy luggage (if asked). The bed is comfortable. My room was quiet. I did have to wait for the shared bath .. just a small inconvenience. The location is about 5 minute walk from the airport bus and approx. 10 min from the Duomo and other sightseeing spots. They did request cash payment for the room, but they told me this the night before so I was prepared. Breakfast is fairly standard for Italy (juice, coffee, croissant, roll w/butter & jam – plus slices orange). They said they would have breakfast on the terrace but it ended up being in the kitchen. I didn’t use the wifi, but it is free. It is a good choice for a short visit to Catania.

Great service!

The family that owns this B&B are sweet,and their service and breakfasts were both excellent. They arranged a cab from the airport, gave us a quiet room in an area with a bustling nightlife (not always easy), and answered all our questions. Their English isn't great, but it's good enough to be understood. And the price was certainly right too. I'd definitely recommend Piccadilly House to other travelers.

Nice B&B and great location

We spent 3 nights there. Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is very nice and the room was spacious and clean. The B&B is well located but not noisy. The only thing was the wifi which wasn't great and TV didn't work well but it was a good excuse to disconnect anyway. Would highly recommend the place!

Great hotel

Great hotel. We stayed in the en suite room. Large bedroom and bathroom which was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. The hotel is in a good location in Piazzo Vincenzo Bellini. Easy walking distance to all the major sites and the railway station. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

B&B at the heart of Catania

Very nice B&B af the heart of Catania. Super friendly hosts, a nice breakfast and a beautiful breakfast setting at the balcony.

A Great Place To Stay

Picadilly is east to find. Access is up three flights but a person is employed to carry the bags. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Location is great and in a university area so very lively. Would highly recommend Picadilly

What a gem.

The proprietors are surely the nicest people in Europe. Room was large and spotless, with lots of clean towels, etc. AC and nice TV. Breakfast on a very nice balcony. Very close to all the major sites but on a quiet piazza. I had a wonderful stay!!

The hostel was great but I did not enjoy Catania the city itself. The hostel is very well located to the main centre and staff were lovely.

Our experience

The most hospitable, helpful and friendly hosts one could imagine. Centrally located, easy to find. Good to adjourn to for an afternoon siesta between venturing out.

The room was very nicely decorated and clean and spacious. Unfortunately there was a family with a crying baby throughout the night that spoilt the experience for us somewhat. I realise this is not within the control of the property but maybe if they had better sound proofing in the rooms? Gracious hosts but we could only pay in cash even though on this website it says cards are accepted.

Great place for great price

B&b Piccadilly is a great bed and breakfast. Claudia and Concetta (the owners) are extremely helpful and accommodating, and they really take good care of the apartments. The rooms are as in photographs- Wifi works well, breakfast consists of cereals, yogurt, pastries and the area of apartments is safe and easy to find. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and would return :)

A pleasant budget guesthouse, but no elevator

This guesthouse is a pleasant base for budget travelers for exploring Catania. On the plus side, the guesthouse itself is very nice, modern, clean and spacious. There is a free use of a small kitchen with a refrigerator, and a nice packaged breakfast that is pre-set the previous night. There is a small balcony for eating outdoors and free wi-fi. The owners are super nice and accommodating. On the minus side, the guesthouse is located on the third floor of an apartment building with no elevator, there is no bus connection from the guesthouse to the train station and occasionally there is some noise from a nearby bar. The reception is closed at night. The location is about 20-25 minutes walking away from the central square, but right outside is Piazza Bellini, with a magnificent historic opera house, and several restaurants which are open late. The bus stop from the airport is just south of Piazza Bellini. The bus route from the airport takes about an hour, since the bus goes all around central Catania before arriving there. The airport bus stops by the train station, so it is relatively simple to get to the guesthouse from the train station. However, there is no bus service to the train station and you have to walk there for about 20 minutes or take a pre-arranged taxi. If you don't mind to haul your luggage three floors up, and the hassle of getting to the train station, this place is recommended.

Cycle Touring

Excellent location in City Centre. Very friendly owners, Claudia, Concetta and her Mama & Papa who collected three of us from the airport with a car and a van for the bikes. Looked after bike bags for 12 days while we cycled around the coast of Sicily. Lots of emails confirming travel arrangements, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely stay with them when I go back to Catania, Gary

Really nice budget B&B in the centre of Catania.

A lovely family welcomed us into their B&B, they were very professional and made us feel welcome. The B&B is in a lovely square by the Bellini opera, very close to the central Piazza and just 10 mins away from the bus station. It's also the hub for the nightlife area as Catania comes alive at night with students. The B&B is perfect for anyone looking for a good value place to stay in Catania and the family provide a lovely breakfast buffet, nice spacious rooms and a terrace to relax on. We enjoyed our stay here - thank you!

quiet but central

Piccadilly House was an excellent B and B. It was in a great location, yet quiet at night. Claudia welcomed me and was very friendly. The accommodation was great; a large room and comfy bed, with a modern bathroom. Perfect! The only slight criticism - the breakfast was self-service which was fine - however, I think it would be an improvement to check that the cereals are really fresh and also to change the tea provided. 'Star' tea is not good! But basically I would recommend PH

Central location, close to all historical sites.

A nice Italian experience within the B and B, conveniently located within walking distance to all historical sites and restaurants. Many nice bars in the main square to go for a drink in the evenings. Family that run the B and B are very helpful and friendly.

A MOST ENJOYABLE STAY

My brother and I enjoyed our brief stay at this hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfast is a definite plus. The hotel is not far from the Duomo and within a short distance of one of the main shopping streets.

Nice, friendly and super service!

I had a very big room for myself with air conditioning. The place have a very nice terrace where you can enjoyer the sun the all morning and early afternoon. The owners are super friendly and are wiling to help you their best. The location is in the city center next to the theatre Bellini where at night time numerous bars are open.

Loved the place, very good jost just make sure you get there before the front office closes!

Nice family, large comfotable rooms, good location

Low cost for the size of the room and the kindness of the owners. Nice terrace area, which is a pretty quiet retreat, while still in the Piazza Bellini.

Excellent location, very nice owners, and very clean large rooms! Close to everything. Not luxury, but a family run pension which is a fabulous change from the big hotels. Highly rcmnd to anyone traveling to Catania, which I also highly rcmnd as a place to visit and stay a few days. Great city full of amazing food, opera house and vino! Thank oyu!

Non ho soggiornato in questa struttura. Appena arrivati ci è stato detto che era chiusa. Che peccato veramente.

Le séjour à piccadilly house s'est très bien passé, les hôtes sont très accueillants et serviables. C'est très bien placé, les chambres sont au calme. La cuisine est cependant assez rudimentaire, j'attendais au moins un four... Surprise aussi de devoir régler en cash... Sinon, c'était parfait

Grazioso ma di notte poco raccomandabile

Personale cortese e disponibile anche oltre l'orario di check in.Il b&b si trova al lato di piazza Bellini,la quale di notte si trasforma in luogo di ritrovo di sbandati. La stanza si trova al 2°piano di un palazzo senza ascensore e confinante con un'appartamento abitato da extracomunitari che per 2 notti parlavano animatamente ad alta voce. Il bagno assegnato era in comune e la doccia secondo me lasciava molto a desiderare e dovrebbero usare più detersivi.La televisione non ha mai funzionato per problemi di connessione. Nel complesso comunque è andato ha buon fine è Catania è una città bellissima.

Schattige B&B gerund door een vriendelijk gehuwd personeel. Kamer zag er prima en schoon uit. Lekker ontbijt. Konden onze bagage voor een paar uur achterlaten.

Lovely and sweet Bnb!

Claudia and her parents are possibly the sweetest hosts you can find! The BnB is in an older and kitschy apartment in a great location! So easy to get to the bus, to city center and to the sights! I would so happily stay there again the next time I’m in Catania, it felt very safe and homey!

GuestHouse simple, soignée et accueillante

Maisons d'hotes très accueillant et sympathique, petit dejeuner extra top servi et en térrasse, petit soucis de literie mais vite corrigé par le gérant. Grande chambre avec salle de bains et au calme. Appartemet bien situé, près des marchés, gares bus et train, face à l'opéra et petits restaurants, près de l'avenue de l'etna...etc

D'un rapport qualité-prix est excellent, ce B&B est très bien situé à quelques pas du métro. Le petit-déjeuner compris dans le prix est servi sur une terrasse très sympa. La propreté y est impeccable.

Catania ist eine spannende Stadt im Aufbruch, ein Besuch des Ätnas lohnt sich und die Unterkunft ist sehr persönlich.

Wygodny, położony w ścisłym centrum hotel ( raczej komfortowy hostel). Było czysto i przestronnie i generalnie bardzo poprawnie. Do dyspozycji gości wspólna kuchnia z lodówką i kuchenką oraz możliwością zrobienia kawy i herbaty. Dostrzegam trzy minusy: nie da się zaparkować samochodu za darmo (są parkingi płatne na ulicy, ale nie jest łatwo znaleźć puste miejsce), wspólna dla kilku pokoi łazienka ( akurat było mało gości, więc nie było kolejek !!) oraz bardzo słabe śniadanie - podano nam dżem, chleb tostowy i dwie supermarketowe słodkie bulki. Spaliśmy na Sycylii w 9 miejscach i tylko w Palermo trafiliśmy na podobnie słaby standard sniadania).

ANCHE SE IN PIAZZA BELLINI ABBIAMO DORMITO BENISSI

Facilissimo da trovare anche se si utilizza il pullman. Camera grande con bagno privato completo di vasca e doccia. La camera da sul cortile interno del palazzo quindi si dorme benissimo e nel più completo silenzio. Buona anche la colazione con brioche che cambiavano ogni mattina. Se necessario il titolare fa anche servizio taxi da e per aeroporto.

Nice B&B central in Catania. The only problem was that they did only accept cash, even though I was informed by hotels.com beforehand that payment by credit card should be accepted.

Séjour très agréable situation centrale parfaite, on peut visiter tout le circuit historique à pied. Accueil chaleureux et grande disponibilité des hôtes. Attention deuxième étage sans ascenseur !

Très bon rapport qualité prix

BB très bien situé sur la place du teatro Bellini, tout proche de restaurants et bars. Nos hôtes ont été très accueillants et nous ont mis à l'aise tout de suite.

Замечательный маленький семейный отель в самом сердце Катании. Хозяева настолько гостепреимны, что создаётся полное ощущение, что ты приехал погостить к родственникам. Номер очень чистый, кровати удобные. Завтрак накрывается на террасе - чай, кофе, молоко, мюсли, булочки, йогурты. Единственное неудобство - общая ванная комната (душ, туалет) часто по утрам была занята.

あたたかなおもてなしがとてもよかったです。ホテルの設備や町のおすすめのバー、観光スポット、近郊のおすすめ都市など様々なことを丁寧に説明してくれました。また、ホテルに戻ると笑顔で迎え入れてくれたのが嬉しかったです。清潔感があり、アットホームな雰囲気のこのホテルが気に入りましたまた泊まりたいです。

Centrale, accogliente, perfetto.

Io e il mio compagno abbiamo alloggiato una notte. Ci è dispiaciuto lasciarlo. Nonostante non avessimo il bagno in camera, non abbiamo trovato alcun tipo di problema. La camera era arredata con gusto. La colazione, seduti nel terrazzino, squisita, con ampia scelta. A due passi dalla movida notturna. Consigliatissimo.

Ottima posizione, pulizia, cordialitá

Abbiamo soggiornato per la prima volta al Piccadilly house e siamo rimasti pienamente soddisfatti. Il bed and breakfast è in posizione centrale e al secondo piano di un palazzo storico (ristrutturato) , non c'è l'ascensore ma per noi questo non ha costituito un problema. Il bed and breakfast consta di tre camere, non mancava nulla! La nostra era arredata con gusto e fornita di condizionatore. Le camere sono dotate di balcone che dá sul cortile interno e da lì è possibile raggiungere un terrazzino con tavolino e sedie se si vuole stare all 'aperto. Anche la cucina è in comune ed è adibita a sala colazione. Il bagno in comune è nuovissimo e pulitissimo. Il wifi è disponibile anche se nella nostra camera il segnale non arrivava bene ( meglio in cucina e all'ingresso) magari con un wifi repeater questo potrebbe essere risolto, comunque per noi il wifi non era importante dato che eravamo giá forniti del nostro router portatile. Concludendo, ottimo rapporto qualitá prezzo . Ritorneremo presto! Questo b&b avrá sempre la prioritá per le nostre vacanze a Catania!

God beliggenhed

Et godt bed and breakfast hotel meget centralt beliggende i Catania. Servicen er personlig og imødekommende. Er man i bil skal man være opmærksom på, at man skal benytte offentlig parkering et stykke fra hotellet. Det er svært at finde gratis parkeringspladser. Hotellet er perfekt, hvis man vil opleve Catanias natteliv, ulempen er, at der godt kan være lidt larm om natten. Toilettet skal deles med eventuelle andre beboere på hotellet.
