The best people

Clean, comfortable, beautiful room. We needed to extend our stay an extra night and Edoardo went above and beyond to accommodate our non-standard requests. We couldn’t be happier.

Terrific hotel in a terrific location

We stayed three nights in this lovely hotel in a historic building near the Vatican City. The room was very spacious, the beds comfortable, and if I could have brought the pillows home - I would have. They were that awesome! The room and the bathroom were both very clean! Breakfast was terrific (very nice variety) and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting Alessandro and Daniele. They were extremely kind and helpful during our stay. We would definitely stay here again when in Rome!

The location is excellent. 5 min walk to Vatican, restaurants and taxi station close. The host was excellent, he accommodated to us airport pick up and even breakfast at earlier hour.

Nice place to stay Very helpful personal Clean, close to all main attractions

The hotel was right across the street from the Vatican. So many good places to eat and shop nearby. The owner was so helpfull getting us settled into our rooms. He set us up with a taxi to get to the train station.

The three brothers who run this joint are by far some of the most friendly gents you can place yourself in. From checking in with you and aiding your journey to their destination by the illustrious vatican, a mere 2 min walk away. I was jetlagged, slept in and nearly missed my appointment at the vatican but because of the location, there were no worries.

You feel like at home! Very clean! Nice & friendly staff! They’ll do their best to make your vacation as you want it to be!

Alessandro was very courteous and willing to help us with whatever we needed. Beautiful rooms walking distance from the Vatican. Looking forward to visiting Rome and staying there again!

Everyone and everything on this property was amazing We love it and we recommend it.

Great location and host if one gets this place for the right rate. Unfortunately that was not our experience. We spent the Christmas Eve here to attend the mass out of the 11 nights in our trip. All other places we stayed were at least 2-bedroom and 2-bath with also great locations and hosts. This place cost more than any of them but it turned out to be a single room with 3 sub-standard beds and a sub-standard bathroom addition. The error in selecting it was mine mislead by my filters set to two rooms and two bath and misleading pictures showing two different bedrooms. It turned out we had only one of the rooms. The name of the place and the main image were also misleading since the only view from the room was looking at other windows. A hotel would have been cheaper with higher standards and more amenities. The host was great though with excellent and helpful communication. The location was also great and a minute walk away from the Vatican.

This is my second stay at this property and it was as great as the first. The new management team is working very hard to make this property even better.

Our stay at B&B A Picture of Rome made our vacation in Rome so much pleasant. The people behind this hotel are very friendly and they treat you as family. Location very convenient. I definitely recommend staying at this place and you will surely be satisfied and happy. My husband and I plan to go back to Paris next year and stay at the same place!

We love love this lodging since we've been on our tour of Europe! Will definitely come back here if we come back to Rome and highly recommend to everyone! The staff is amazing 😍

Wonderful Stay in Rome!!

Our visit to Rome was absolutely wonderful thanks to our stay at A Picture of Rome. Location was great, communication was quick and easy, and they even found a babysitter for us while we did an adults only tour at the Vatican. The rooms were quiet, clean, and updated, was a quick walk to the metro, and more than enough shops, bars, and restaurants during our stay. The common area kitchen was helpful for storing some groceries as well.

Anniversary trip

We were only there one night but our stay was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. We had to check out very early in the morning to make our flight and the staff helped us to secure transportation to the airport the night before. It was great to have such a beautiful view of the city for our final night in Italy.

Room was fantastic with a view of Vatican city

This hotel is very close to the Metro lines A & B. There’s a taxi stand right at the corner in case you need to get to Termini early in the morning ( Metro opens at 5:30 am). Close to St Peter’s Basilica & Vatican. Highly recommended!

The 3 owners were all extremely pleasant, friendly, helpful and efficient. The property was great and very well situated - near taxis, metro station (great), numerous restaurants, Vatican and other beautiful places to visit. Great service. Only negative comment was the not so comfortable bed, expecially for older clients with back problems, but other than that, great experience, highly recommended!!!

This B&B is excellent! It is located across the street from the Vatican, walking distance from other beautiful locations and surrounded by all transportation ( buses and trains). It surrounded by shops and restaurants. It is quiet and extremely clean. I highly recommend this location to any traveler heading to Rome. Customer service is Superb!!!

Close to Vatican

Great stay for a couple of nights. Very close to the Vatican. No view though... don't let that picture sway you. Shower was spacious with rain shower head. Bunk beds were fairly comfy.

Close to Vatican yet in laid back Prato area - few tourists. Many nice shops and restaurants. Close to public transportation. Great new owners!

This property is about 5-7 min from St. Peter's Square and next door to the Vatican. Restaurants just outside as well. Gelatos are amazing. There is no water available at the location so stuck up at the local supermarket. There are two pharmacies nearby as well. A short walk to the metro station. The room has a bunkbed bed. But I'm not sure if it was all the rooms. The key to the main door is tricky so be sure to ask and demo that part out. The staff isn't onsite which keeps the experience cozy. The elevator unit is nostalgic which means that if somone doesn't close it properly, you will be walking flights of stairs. Very safe location. Do go for a run in the morning, before the flock of tourist. Also skip the guided tour of the vatican and go early. Same epic experience. This property has decent wifi but it times out.

This is the best Bed and breakfast I have stayed in. The property is in an incredible location, it’s very secure and close to all historical places and monuments. The staff is very nice and agreable, I loved my stay here. I’ll be coming back in the near future

The staff and proprietor are fabulous, so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The location is ideal fro the major tourist attractions and has plenty of restaurants and shops at hand.

The hotel is convenient. Right next to the Vatican and a short walk to the Metro. The room was decorated with beautiful curtains and pictures. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Our stay was from Tuesday 12th to the 14th March 2019. This was our first visit to Rome and upon arriving at the property which is located opposite the Vatican the Building Porter contacted the owner (Daniel) and when he arrived a few minutes later he welcomed us as if we were old friends. Service to our floor was via a classic styled lift and he gave us instructions on how it was to be used to save any problems. On entering the B&B there was an enclosed eating area / kitchen where he sat us down and completed the various paperwork and payment. He then with great detail informed us of how to enjoy the sight of Rome, using the transport and suggested restaurants. This insight proved invaluable and we can't thank him enough as this saved us both time and money. Our bedroom was large and airy at the front of the building with a window overlooking the Vatican, what a sight! The bed was very comfortable as we overslept on both mornings! The bathroom was well proportioned with Shower, toilet, bidet and basin, also there were plenty of towels. Breakfast was optional and our host provided fresh coffee, teas, croissants with assorted jams, orange juice, yogurts and eggs. Checking out was easy following our breakfast and Daniel made us feel a special guest. All in all this was a fantastic experience and thanks to Daniel and his help and passion in what he does made it so. I highly recommend this B&B and my wife and I will be back!!

Superb location and the best welcome I've ever had at a hotel.

The location is fabulous if you're going to see the Vatican. We had a view of St. Peter's basilica from our window. Staff was very knowledgable about the area, and made great recommendations about restaurants, transportation, etc. Overall, it was a great experience. Although it's called a B&B, just know that breakfast is not included in the price of a room (like it would be in the USA).

The host and the help were terrific and very helpful. They went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible. However, the property didn't look like the images posted when making reservations. Four people had to sleep in one room. The only place to sit was in the room that we slept in or on the sidewalk at one of the restaurants or the Tobacco Shop, just out the door. The location was excellent, right across from the Vatican and St. Peters Square. Public transportation was a couple of minutes away (bus and metro). Multiple restaurants and shops were right outside.

The suite was very clean and up to date with all the modern amenities. The host was very helpful and super polite. The view of the Vatican was amazing. Along with walking distance to the night life.

Great location. Two minutes to the Vatican, the Metro and across from bus stops. Grocery store, restaurants, and shopping within a couple of blocks. Hosts are respectful and friendly. I would stay here again.

Love it great place to stay if I go back will stay there again

We walked to this hotel from Termini station and it took us about 1 hour. I recommend walking to it if you and kids want a first-impression of what to expect when in Rome: Lots and lots of walking. The hotel is perfectly located, safe and near everything - especially the Vatican and Castel San Angelo. A walk to the Spanish Steps or Trevi fountain, is easy and takes about 20-30 minutes. The room was clean and the staff was amazing. The breakfast option was a bit disappointing, though, but not a deal breaker.

A package deal with round trip tickets, everything went smoothly, and our "View of Rome" was upgraded upon arrival.

The room was quite nice, and the staff were fantastic. While we had breakfast only one morning, it was fine. The location is amazing: easy access to restaurants, the Vatican area, public transit, and wonderful walks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this B&B property. Our host, Daniele, was extremely attentive and took effort to ensure our stay in Rome would be most enjoyable, providing us with an itinerary for the 2 1/2 days that took in all the sights we wanted to cover. The room was clean and comfortable. The property is ideally located across the square from the vatican with bus service to other sites conveniently available, Very good informal breakfast provided too.

Nice little bed and breakfast. Very basic, no extra amenities. Small fridge, we weren't able to fit any of our left over food in it which was disappointing. The location is good, you're able to walk everywhere or walk to transit which is very close by. Overall a nice little bed and breakfast, I would recommend it!

Great location near to St Peters, a short walk from Ottaviano metro stop. If you are coming in from the airport train transfer at Termini. Surrounded by restaurants, shopping, groceries. Old style lift to the room. Quiet building. Very secure. Staff of the B&B wonderful

The staff here are excellent . Upon check in Lourdes was very helpful and super nice . And Luisa made our breakfast each morning , she was Fantastic !!!! She is always smiling and so helpful . She makes a great ham and cheese omelette . The location is excellent , so close to the Vatican . Lots of restaurants and shops around too. Would definitely recommend to anyone /"everyone . When I come back to Rome I will be staying here again , for sure .

Location can't be beat. Neither can the service

Wow, this is real gem just a stone's throw away from the Vatican. Location can't be beat. Straight out the front door, you'll hit St. Peter's Square. Go to the right and you'll reach the Vatican Museums. Go to the left and you'll find some high end shopping. To the left and behind the building, there is the Ottoviano Metro stop. This place is not an ordinary hotel. The lobby is on the six floor (reachable by a vintage Otis lift). There I was greeted by Daniele, the owner/manager. He is also the one that will make you breakfast (and he can make it to order). The room I was in had a queen size bed and looked modern with many amenities (safe/refrigerator/HD TV). Daniele was very personable and knowledgable about the area and gave out many helpful pointers about my stay in Rome. This is close to staying at a friend's place when in Rome. It certainly is on my list for a return visit, hopefully soon. Thanks, Daniele!

Not really a B&B. I guess Travelocity doesn't give you the breakfast option. It really an office building with one suite turned into 3 rooms. Kind of strange. Great location by the Vatican and nice welcome staff.

Location, location, location. Everything is close by.

This hotel had it all. Excellent management and staff. From the moment we booked, we had lots of questions about our travel to Rome. Daniele the manager and owner was responsive, made suggestions, and booked a driver for us from and to the hotel. Daniele was at the door to greet us, and take us to the room. The air conditioned room accommodated the four of us well. The only thing it needed was a little extra storage. The rooms had been renovated with a modern bathroom. The location of the hotel was across from the Vatican with shops and restaurants. We were looking for a no frills room that was easy on our budget but had to have air conditioning, clean and great location. This hotel went above and beyond.

The staff and owner really made us feel very special.

Great location just outside the walls of the Vatican. Daniele was super helpful and gave us excellent advice on where to go for meals, laundry, tours. The vintage elevator was a highlight for me.

Great B&B with excellent service and support!!

My family and I spend 7days in Rome and found this location to ideal. Not only was the location accessible to all major tourist attractions, but the service and support received from Daniele was above and beyond our expectation. Daniele very helpful with the arrangement of all our transfers (airport pick-up/drop off) and tours to the Vatican City, Colosseum, Pompei and the Amalfi Coast. Our designated drive was Dario who was amazing and someone I would highly recommend. Special thanks to Daniel, Dario and the entire team for making our stay in Rome a very positive and memorable experience. A View of Rome highly recommended!

The staff was fantastic and gave us great advise on where to visit, how to get there, where to eat, etc. After a day in Rome and with their tips, we were very comfortable getting around the city and finding what we needed to. I really like to location, just over the river, right next to the vatican and a very short walk to the metro. We are already looking at booking again next spring!

Outstanding Place in Rome

Location and views lived up to expectations. Saw the pope at Wednesday general audience. Request free tickets by mail in advance. Extra services and great help received from Dani. If arriving late, make sure to make arrangements.

Apartment style hotel

Hotel is more like an apartment in the middle of the city close to the Vatican. There is a busy restaurant right outside the door and plenty of shopping close by. The Metro is a short walk as well. We enjoyed our stay but be aware that even though they call themselves a bed and breakfast, they charge for breakfast which is in a small room prepared by an employee right in front of you. They charged us 7.50 euro per person and didn't tell us until after we had eaten. We would not have chosen to eat here if we knew it wasn't included. Daniel, the owner is nice and came to say hi.

First time in Rome

The hotel location is perfect, everything is within walking distance. Hotel staff absolutely wonderful and helpful. First time visiting Rome and I’m glad I made the right choice by booking this hotel.

Best view in town

Daniele was the best host we have experienced in our travels! He had lots of suggestions based on our tastes. I've already recommended this place to my sister and her friends.

Room was extremely small with only one chair to sit in. AC did not work well and breakfast charge was too expensive so we never ate it. On the 6th floor so if the elevator isn’t working, you are walking up and down. Daniel was great and very responsive to requests!!

It is a bedroom (SHELTER) not a HOTEL. Always with closed door, and never open to us. We have to get a “Hotel” in Fiumicino. AS TRAVELER THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!

Right in the middle of everything. The staff is really friendly and Daniele is the best host ever. Really awesome place. We will definitely return!

A couple days in Rome

The staff was great. Daniele and Lourdes and the young man who cleans the rooms very nice people. I didn’t realize that they have a policy that if you arrive after 8p you must pay a late fee of $20 so that was kinda disappointing. We were in room #2 in the left side tower. The room smelled like sewage some of the time. We were explained that the building is from the 1700s so that happens from time to time. We were also told the smell Would go away once we ran the water and took showers and it did but the smell came back again the next morning. The location is great lots of good restaurant and shops.

Nice close to the Vatican

We arrived very tired around 10:30 pm. We were greeted and offered an itinerary to see Rome the next day. After getting a great night's rest, we did the tour suggested with tremendous success including shorter lines. I highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful stay

The room was well appointed and had everything I could need, breakfast was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the train and easy to get around. I hope I get to stay again!! And yes the view was as promised :)

Good location

Daniele takes such excellent care of his customers!! He goes above and beyond to make sure your stay in Rome is memorable. Rooms are clean and efficient. Would certainly stay there again when I return to Rome one day!

Nice clean apartment brilliant location lovely friendly and nice staff good care after check out if we are ever back in Rome this would be the place we would stay I would highly recommend this apartment.One word fantastic

Close to the Vatican

Daniele was an excellent host. He was waiting at the door when we arrived at the apartment and then proceeded to help us carry our bags into the apartment. Once in the apartment, Daniele took time to explain everything to us and provide us with numerous insights about getting around Rome, special places to buy tickets to some venues to avoid lines and recommend restaurants to eat at. Daniele also helped arrange a day trip to Pompeii for us. He was the highlight of our stay. The apartment suited our needs and is very close to the Vatican. You can easily walk there in 5 mins or less. The apartment was very quiet and we really enjoyed our time in Rome.

This is more like a Airbnb. It’s an room in an apartment building. Less traditional than I’d like especially for the price. Location was great. Easy access to public transportation and Vatican was right next door.

Excellent service

We stayed for 3 nights and it was, in general, very good! Service was excellent! The host was very froendly. The location is perfect. It is very close to the Vatican and is easily accessible via metro. Restaurants and stores are also close by.

If you are in Rome, stay here! Welcoming staff, great location, feels like home. Of all of our travels, this may be our favorite place to stay.
