Perfect location,staff more than happy to accommodate us with our needs on the checkin day, room was clean and nice size and had everything we needed,loved the plunge pool for a good wake-up swim and location right before town to walk down for breakfast

Happy Weekend Stay

Quite spacious room with comfortable and clean bedding. Though no cook top, very glad to get a frying pan which is adequate for preparing simple meals. In room spa made our stay more relaxing. Specifically designated parking lot make parking easy and convenient. Its location being near the town center is very convenient to go to shops and eateries.

Lovely, clean and well equipped apartment and a soft bed. Although this property is situated on a busy road, when the windows were shut it was very quiet. The staff were also excellent to deal with. Thank you. We will be back.

All round beautiful place to stay

It was quite noisey in the early hours of the morning - another visitor was out side on a call on speaker could just about hear word for word it was like they were in the room with us - not sound proof. Sucked when it was the one day I could sleep in!

Comfortable and clean

Stayed for one weekend night. Room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Downsides were the road noise outside ...despite the 'whisper windows' you can still hear a hum of traffic and I didnt see the point in putting on the heat pump to drown the noise. The location is also a bit away from the Mount's main drag, but not an issue if enjoy walking or have your car.

The lovely Bay window, also the industrial carpet put down outside on the walkway to each unit and down the stairs, great for safety when raining.

Great place to stay in this area - quiet and comfortable rooms, short walk to plenty of shops and food options. Friendly hosts.

First impressions of our stay were not pleasant, as the staff member on the front desk when checking in was rude and seemed annoyed. I had also thought I had booked a room with a spa, so to see it was just a jetted bath tub was disappointing. Other amenities of the room were adequate, though the sheets and pillow cases were stiff and had marks on them. Being in a ground unit, the main window in the room faced directly onto the street so the curtains had to stay drawn. Installing some net curtains to let the light in but still have some privacy would have been an improvement. Housekeeping also came very early at 9am which is a bit disruptive to a holiday sleep-in. Overall the room was a decent size with appropriate amenities, but for the price I paid I would have expected better service and cleanliness.

Liked the locality, easy to walk to shops, cafes etc. Comfortable room, plenty of hot water. Perhaps the tea/coffee tray should have been topped up, but a minor niggle. Overall very happy.

Super great location. Cleanest hotel in Mt Maunganui and i have stayed at them all. Off street parking and quiet large rooms. Only issue i have is the pillows are clean but rock hard. A hotel wide pillow upgrade is recommended. Ill stay back there but ill take my pillow untill they upgrade . Super safe and amazing hosts. Great price too.

Handy to everything, walk to the beach, shops, nice place to stay

They upgraded us to the family room with spa. Very nice room, clean and tidy. Very good beds and we had a TV in each room.

Comfortable and quiet

Very comfortable King bed, pleasant staff, central location. Despite all the units being on and facing the main road into the Mount the motel unit was very quiet - Hush Glass windows. This was our one concern pre arrival and was absolutely not an issue.

Great option for Mt. Maunganui

Great location, very close to the town centre. Was also a spacious unit, which we needed with a one year old. Staff were very friendly and had a great knowledge of the local area. Would definitely stay here again!

Top accomodation (spoilt by noisy youth)

Amazing but spoilt by the early morning activities of youth obviously going home from clubbing. Talking and yelling loudly outside on the footpath, but not in good view from my room window. Nothing rude and offensive, just LOUD!

Great Stay

Highly recommend Baywatch Motor Inn. We stayed in the King Suite. The room was really clean and in great condition. We had a good look around The Mount and was nice to come back to the room to chill and have a coffee. We would definitely stay here again. Recommend taking a trip to Mclarens Falls for the day - its about 25mins drive. Hot Pools at the foot of The Mount was great, Astrolab pub if your into retro (massive breakfast) - kids welcome too and of course the beach which was beautiful even in winter.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is incredibly clean and has modern facilities within the rooms. It is also in walking distance to the CBD of the Mount.

Fantastic hotel

Spotlessly clean with lots of space in our room. Excellent location only minutes from a fantastic beach, shops, restaurants and the mount. This would definitely be our first choice if we ever return to this amazing part of NZ.
