CHECK IN ABOUT 8.30PM, ALL SHOP CLOSED, EVEN HOTEL COFFEE HOUSE ALSO CLOSED MENTIONED NO FOODS, ANNOT CONNECT TO WIFI, TRIED TO ORDER FOODS AND AFTER WAITING FOR 30MIN FROM 10.45PM, IT MENTIONED RESTURANT ALSO CLOSED

The Waterpark is nice but we have to pay different charges for it. It will be nice if there is a special package including the entry to the water park together with the resort stay. We encounter a very late check in due to insufficient staff for the housekeeping. Resort should be able to anticipate a high volume of patron due the relax on the MCO by providing a better service. We were given a later time for check out for to compensate but it somehow because my family were very tired (due to the travelling) upon arrival, we were very dissapointed. Hope the condition is improving in the future.

this is my third time stay bayou lagoon resort. i feel very bad this time, first is room cleaning. totally dirty and the smelly. the furniture like sofa almost broken and the water heated didn't function . we had booked 3 bedroom suite 2 units. the facilitys of outdoor theme park already too old , needs to repair and tile in the swimming pool broken. we totally 8 children all got hurt and bleeding after playing. i think i will not go here anymore after this trip.

Poor resort with run down facility, poor service

Is a very bad experience with run down facility, dirty and poor service. Not recommended and not worth for money. Wifi is very weak and cannot get connect most of the time. Sound proof is very bad and noise in the night that cannot sleep.

The stay is unsatisfactory.

This properties is too old and poorly maintained. Although the starting rate is reasonably low, however when I chose the higher rate room, it is not worth the money. Towel from previous guess is still hang behind bath room door.

Poor maintenance and crowded

I'm staying in a three bedroom apartment which are spacious but very poor maintenance. The bathroom are smelly, the shower broken and the water heater not working well. The breakfast was prepared in a very big amount so the taste and the presentation are poor. The water park is really crowded and small kids can't enjoy it. I choose the hotel because of the location, no heavy traffic to move around.

Nice waterpark, not too bih not too small, good enough for the kids. Good space of room. However seems like the room was not been cleaned properly. Dust near the bed frame. Previous customer hairband left on the floor. Seeing those give us doubt of the cleanliness of the room thus make us uncomfortable during the stay

This place really needed urgent upgrading! Equipment found to be loosed in the room especially in the toilet where the wash basin leaking below and shower head loosened and leaking also! Finding a car park space is a nightmare!

Nice hotel, nice view. The water kettle does not work because the switch is a problem. The same fridge is not cool. Call maintenance comes for check. Then it's a cool, okay fridge. But the water kettle still cannot cook hot water. Remote tv also does not work.

When we through the corridor to our it so dark... the customer service inform that they set a timer to for the light to turn on... I check in around 3.45 pm and I feel scary & freaky walk through along the corridor

the water park for extra ticket very high...I hv to buy everyday...no benefit for customer who staying here...bcoz no swimming pool at this apartment.. they should give extra ticket until we check out.

Nice room and theme park for family. Need to improve on the toilet cleanliness near coffee house,quite smelly until my child refused to go in because its smelly. And the food choices during breakfast are sufficient but taste wise not so good.

Okay for short stay

Although the staff are overall friendly and helpful, the rooms are not too clean. It's slightly dusty in the corners in some areas with spiderwebs seen. The toilet sink aren't that clean either. But thank goodness, the aircons are all in working condition and bed are cozy.

The room is just boring, dirty aircond. Mosquitoes everywhere. The only thing that i like is the water pressure is good. Water park is so so, the sliding part is not slippery anymore.

Improve F&B Section

We ordered BBQ chicken wings at hotel cafe for dinner. It came out like a normal deep fried chicken wings, not BBQ at all. We asked the staffs, she explained that the chicken wings were marinated in BBQ sauce and frozen. Once ordered, they deep fried it. It should be oven baked, not deep fried. Basically, food like mee mamak or fried mee hoon was really nice. Other than that, a bit disappointment.

Hotel not designed to handle heavy traffic for school holidays. Example : not enough lifts to cater guest to rooms

As long my mom and dad Happy.. Happy wif our trip.. I have a lot rest when i go the spa.. I like them very much, sangat ramah.. My child so excited to go theme park..

Water theme park is the only good of the hotel.

Run down rooms. Not properly maintained. Water theme park is the only reason it still getting guests. Towels were not supplied to hotel guest for the water theme park.

main problem is not wifi, i bring children go travel but no wifi connection is the worst thing for me. toilet bowl not in good condition. towel smelly. breakfeast buffet bad, egg counter not suply enough egg，only one bread toast machine when many people. food variety, is not worth for rm30. condo style with 3 rooms, but only 1 lcd on living hall.waste my money

We req Bby cot upon booking but not in the room when we check in..we need to req 3 times then only they send the Bby cot to our room..others were great..

Affordable Fun for the family

Overall the hotel is satisfying. However, room cleanliness can be improved. facilities wise, needs better maintenance. One of the bathroom in my room can't even be locked. apart from that, its okay.. but its quite crowded during school holiday which is unavoidable.

Reception was very friendly. Room not bad very comfortable. But very noise from outside.. like someone open the door n bang the door... so many time... really cannot sleep... it happen from 4am to 6am... so hard to find food... although they have cafe.. but i dun really like the food... we have to go outside to find food...but that is not important... the important that we happy stay there because all the staff so very friendly..not arrogant..😁

Pictures in web totally misleading

Pictures provided in web give wrong image on the condition of the hotel, room did not have hot water, room was very filty. Really disappointing experience. Option was to change room but conditions are exactly similar. Had to check out after first night.

should upgrade the facilities especially the lift. i stayed at 11th floor and need to wait for 1/2 hour in front of it because many user from downstairs used to going up first. this is due to slow speed lift and can it can be prevented by using access card to the desired floor.

Room was not properly maintained. Broken taps in both bathrooms. Used towels from previous stay not collected. The rests are ok and value for money.

Nice decent hotel

Little distance away from the town. Was there during the peak season so was extremely crowded. Only setback were the lifts which we had to wait for ages.

2 seater sofa damaged. Water heater is not function well. Lighting should be more brighter at hall area.

Fine for just a short stay I guess

Picked this hotel for a late night check in and early departure, so it was just a short stay. However if it was supposed to be a short getaway at a "resort" or "theme-park hotel", I would be quite disappointed. Good place for letting your kids experience what a water park was like 30 years ago though.

Check-out Experience

There is only 3 lifts per block and the check-out time is at 12:00 pm. Everyone is using the lifts and the waiting time for the lift (to be entered upon with a very minimum space) is approximately 30 minutes. The Management have to provide alternative to this arrangement as not all your customers are able-bodied person and need assistance to use the lift.

Checkin quite fast. Room is reasonable in size & facilities for 3-room appt. Breakfast also reasonable but the location ( auditorium) flooring could be improved on level evenness to avoid unnecessary fall by children or elderly. Wayer theme park is ok, only some places are abit slimy & water seems abit blurry.

I did inform the front desk but no body came to fix it..

Nice hotel close with water park and facility

Enjoy with water park, 9D movie and 3D muzium art but guy at receiption not friendly and not helpful. To many people during check in and take number at 2.20 pm and number called by receiption near 4 pm (50 numbers in que). Small lift. No shampoo provided

My conversation with the female staff a few days before our check in was very disappointed. Tone so unfriendly not helpful at all. Asking for payment like no communication skills. We stayed 2 nights. Bath tub not functioning well. The staff promise to send maintenance but never come. But during the actual day check in (25th Saturday), the chinese & malay male staff was good and friendly, always smiling, good explaination given to customers. Female staff not friendly, face look tired. Breakfast the first day, the chicken curry taste sour, not many choices, no children chairs, aircond was too cold until we cannot eat because not comfortable.

TV remote control battery leak, so cannot watch TV.

Extremely Slow Check-in

It took us 2 hours to get checked-in! We could understand that there's a crowd waiting but the management has to think of a solution or we won't be making a second stay.

Very polite & helpful hotel staff. Overall kids really enjoy vacation at Bayou lagoon.

Old doors

All the bedroom and toilet doors need to be change as it was too old and the sound that it makes made babies woke up in the middle of the night.

Its nice place to stay n enjoy water theme park with kids. However, we had difficulties during check in as they never deal with hotel.com plus we did not rcd confirmation email in the 1stplace even i had provided them confirmation no. They ask us to pay in full rm400++. So funny. But refunded during check out.

Good overnight stay with waterpark access

Reasonably priced 3-bedroom apartment and good enough for overnight stay. The water park is the main agenda hence the complimentary ticket for 6 pax is quite a good deal. Hotel is located very far from main attraction of Malacca (Bandar Hilir).

Reception slow checked-in and Room given Mistake

Booked for Studio-Room with Jacuzzi but upon checked-in room B-1-19 the room no jacuzzi and no house keeping at all. Went to front office counter to complain and room changed to B 7-11 with jacuzzi.

We call room service no answer even after trying multiple times. We strongly requested double bedded room but was given twin bedded room. Room air cond very noisy.

Before making my reservation through Hotels.com, I have already read reviews about the poor conditions, eg. ants at the pantry, etc, but went ahead to book and paid in full for 2 nights stay over the Hari Raya weekend. The main reason for choosing Bayou Lagoon Park Resort was the water park which my kids age 13 and 7 were excited about. My wife and I thought that we can bear with the bad conditions, and did not set any high expectations prior to check in. True to the reviews from many, everything came true! From the long queue at check in/check out, ants on the wall, smelly pillow, towel rental at water park, and we experienced much more. Our room had cobwebs and some blobs like some insect nests on the bath room floor, noisy crackling air con that off and on by itself several times at night, we don't even dare to sit on the sofa. Basically, we did not have any sleep at all! The next morning, breakfast was served at the convention hall which had a momentary black out! We pressed on to go to the water park after breakfast. By then my wife and 13 yo daughter was too tired, they went to the lobby to sit. Only me and my son stayed at the water park for an hour. We decided to check out after 1 night, although already paid for 2 nights. The lobby staff cannot process a refund on the spot. They advise that we should complain to Hotels.com which I am doing now. Please contact me for a refund for the 2nd night.

TOURISM BUS OPERATORS HORNING IN WEE HOURS MORNING FOR CALLING CUSTOMERS OR BEEN BLOCKED? MY CARDS BEEN CHARGED EVEN BEFORE I CHECKED IN. OVERALL DISSAPOINTED!!!
