Room was clean, and functional. Did not like being told I had to pay in cash for parking my car on the hotel's property. I've stayed at this location for several years and never had to pay parking fee. why the fee and why it had to be cash??
Clean and comfortable
My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Our room was very clean and our bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be back.
No place to take my dog to bathroom. No vending machines. No staff at front desk, had to call and wait for someone. Jackie, who did come was friendly. Wasn’t told they had breakfast in the morning, check out time, pool and hot tub hours. Not really walking distance from Main Street, they did have golf cart rentals on site. Rooms were clean
Restroom lock is not working.paid parking fee but asked park at street. Rude behavior. Expired milk at coffe machine.
Employees very nice, pool area was very clean, if you can’t do stairs make sure you ask for 1st floor Ths was totally my fault and for it being Labor Day Weekend they where very nice being able to change my room. We had Jackie signing us in and she is very good and what she does. One thing I didn’t care for was the music playing by the pool, it was pretty raunchy rap.
Group of 4 stayed the weekend before Labor Day. We got there early and our room was ready so we checked in. It was $10 a night per vehicle for parking. Upon arrival to our room, the bathroom smelled like an ash tray which we reported
Friendliest place on the Island
Met, and made friends on island staying at other resorts, and ours was definitely the best choice for us! The staff is so friendly and accomodating. The other guests staying we encountered were welcoming & great fun as well. LOVED the indoor outdoor pool! Only one on the island!! My favorite part, and what makes this the best choice, ithe resort is tucked in a quiet little nook, a few blocks from town, and around the bend from the Put In Bay Winery. So you can have some time after a fun night of partying to relax and unwind, before heading out again. Best of both worlds! Already looking forward to next year! No other place I want to stay!
The location was nice. The light was broken and I had to remove bulb to turn off and the shower head mad a loud noise and the toilet never stopped running.
Loved the staff!! No bar on site like advertised
We booked this property because we were told they were a "sister" property to the Resort and Convention Hotel and that we could transfer over if a room opened (our friends were at the Resort). A room opened and the manager refused to let us. The property is really run down, no elevator, no amenities. Should be $150/nite max, we paid $350/nite. Staff was excellent-- Dawn especially. Room was clean. A/C barely sufficient. Beds were terrible. Bathroom tiny and run down. Plenty of hot water. Quiet for a crazy town. 5 minute walk to downtown.
It was an ok stay. The toilet had not been cleaned and the towel rack broke. No breakfast just coffee.
Had a wonderful stay. It was nice and quiet if your looking for a place to unwind after leaving the busy downtown area. We really enjoyed the amenities such as the swimming pool, jacuzzi and poolside bar. Great experience overall. Would definitely come back again!
I was very pleased with the friendly and helpful staff. The location was a bit further from the downtown area than expected. Great pool area. Very limited breakfast choices.
Will never stay here again! Failed to tell us the new golf cart parking rules so got a $35 parking ticket. Night clerk banged on our door threatening to call thepolice if we didnt let him in. He accused us of having stolen i-pods in our room. Which we didnt have. I would not open the door I told him I didnt have the ipods. He left to call police. I called the police muself because i didnt trust the guy banging on my door. It was a nightmare being accused of a false accusation.
Service was just bad
Rooms are clean and bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly ! The pool chairs at the pool need replaced . Many were broken . The outdoor pool area could use some sprucing up.
Old hotel
This hotel has a great location and a nice pool. But it needs major updates in the rooms. Beds were very uncomfortable in the 3 queen rooms. Carpet stained from years of use. Bathrooms were small and outdated. Also pool lounge chairs were so worn and broken. People working were very polite and helpful. Monday and Tuesday pool bar is closed. Very limited continental breakfast on weekdays. No coffee maker in room. From my understanding some rooms are getting updated during winter but my room was not one of them. You can rent a golf cart from the hotel which was convenient.
Jackie and Collin are excellent human beings. Go above and beyond for us. Place sits back off main drag so quiet area. We always stay Bay Lodging
Nothing
Too expensive for what you get
Our tv had no signal the whole time we were there, we ran out of toilet paper after one night, the beds were beyond uncomfortable. It wouldn’t have been too bad if it was a way lower price
Pet friendly
Room was clean. We had our pups with us so it was nice to have them with us. Staff was friendly.
I requested first floor due to my handicap and Jackie said none available. Then the room was dirty and the TV was green aliens. My husband tried to get color but the batteries were bad. After new batteries the tv still needed to replaced.
It is very expensive and is a bare bones hotel, but there is a pool and pool bar. It’s really close to downtown Put in Bay, so once you are parked, you don’t need to move your car.
Upon arriving at the room I noticed the bedspread was stained so I got a replacement and that was also stained. The spreads should be thrown in the garbage. The room was damp so the sheets felt damp. There was no luggage rack so we had to put our luggage on the floor. The pool was extremely small and was cloudy and dirty Scheduled to stay two nights but left after one because we didn’t want to stay any longer. Expedia listed the hotel as Good but should have been rated as Fair. Will not trust Expedia reviews in the future.
Great Jewel.
great place to stay. Great staff. Great pool and bar. Great location. Close enough to town without all the noise. I will stay there again.
Loved it!! Very friendly, Colin was a fabulous bartender and the area was nice - the big plus was the OSU decor!
The staff of the property was arrogant and was not helpful, website also shares incorrect details. I encountered the staff who was doing double shift/duty. On this property she was pumped/worked up and on other property she was nice, I don't know why. It mentions that this property offers breakfast but there was nothing good in terms of breakfast.
The location to the city center was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small and way overpriced priced for what you get. You pay for the room and you have to pay to park your car in their own lot.
A great place to stay. The front desk staff were awesome. Great location.
nice, clean plaace to stay
We enjoyed out stay a lot. It was a last minute trip and staff was very accommodating and kind. The room was very clean and sufficient for our needs. One thing we were perplexed about is that hotels.com gave us a price quote but then the resort tacked on another $18 and could not give sufficient explanation as to why
We wished they had more than coffee on the weekend, but it all worked out. Location was great, pool very relaxing and a pool bar!! Thanks for a great weekend!!
First, the property is listed as “Lakefront”, This property is NOWHERE near the lake. The property states breakfast as an amenity. We were there for 3 days and there was NEVER food. There was two coffee pots, and a juice machine (orange and apple) On day one there was a tea bag but no water. The hotel has no lights in the parking lot and it is pitch black. There is no staff in the hotel after 10pm and the bathroom was so bad, we showered at the bathroom house located in Put-In-Bay.
One of the best properties on put in bay.
N/a
Very nice clean and quiet property
Hotel was great awesome pool and bar open late but not packed like the downtown places. Even on saturday of memorial day weekend. Will definitely book again
Very friendly an clean
The toilet had s*** paper in it the bed has stains in it hair was on the stands with a light is Dakota didn't flush good the receptionist had an attitude and lying by she checked the room toilet
Great hotel within a 10 min walk to town. Nice and quiet and comfy rooms
Friendly service! The breakfast was okay. I came preseason though.
Relaxed and laid back
We picked this place because they advertised an indoor pool which was VERY important to our grandkids. When we arrived we were told this pool was closed because it was off season since it was connected to the outdoor pool. We assumed an indoor pool was all season. The breakfast was subpar. The staff were friendly.
Great staff!
All good. Thanks
The room was ok. A little small but it was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
Everyone was absolutely lovely and helpful that worked there. Room was exactly what we expected and very clean and nice. Will definitely be back!
The website says Breakfast. NOPE ! NO BREAKFAST ! Staff was very friendly. We did have a good time.
Very friendly, clean. Would of like a continental breakfast on the weekends said I just weekdays
I wish there was a chair in the room
Great room, beds were nice. Bathroom area a little cramped, wish there was a second mirror for a room that fit 6 people. Staff was so great, very friendly.
The pool area was not well-lit at night. the bar had closed very early . place was very clean. And room was equipped.
The rooms were updated and clean, exactly as pictured. Lights in the bathroom could have been replaced but that was the only thing that could have been fixed in the room. Pool area was nice, needed some new lounge chairs though. It was about a 10 minute walk to restaurants and bars which meant it was quiet at night which we liked.
Jackie was most helpful with room and golf cart rental.
Quaint & Comfortable
The stay was comfortable, clean place. Staff was welcoming. Very pricey, think with that a complimentary bottled water and/or snack would be a nice asset to the stay. Sad that I was not able to get a complimentary water.
The room was clean and comfortable. The service at the front desk was very good. Nice stay!
Jackie at the front desk knows how to do her job. Professional, friendly and security when she had to be. She needs a raise! We are definitely booking there again!
Below average
Our night stand was broken. There wasn’t enough towels. There was no store for cloths at all. The fire alarm went off every day we were there and no worker ever gave us any information as to why. Plan to stay somewhere else next year.
Nice!
Nice property close to everything but still secluded
That the Coffee on the Weekends was only available until 10 am, and you were not allowed to sit in the pool area until10 am. it would of been nice to sit by the pool area and drink my coffee
No services provided
Booked 2 suites with kitchens. One room had a pancake spatula, other didnt. No mixing/serving bowls, one salad bowl. No knives to cut food (was told they can't due to some of their clients", no hot pads to use for oven. No towel service, no towels at pool. One day's coffee provided, not enough dishwasher soap for week. Had to take out our own trash. With 3 in diapers that was often. "But call and let them know so they can have someone pick it up." "Resort" offered minimal breakfast, muffins, dry cereal, coffee, yogurt. No milk, toast, waffles. Even for continental it was poor. For $800/night for both rooms combined I was very disappointed.
Very loud there. Our room was over the bar and it was wild until 4am.
Staff were super friendly and helpful! Room could use some updates, mainly in the bathroom and bathroom door was hard to open, it would stick.
Family Stay
Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall clean and maintained. Breakfast selections could be improved.
Charged $10 per day for parking. But had to be cash. This was nowhere on their website. Room was moderately clean when checked in and never serviced while we were there.
The facilities were outdated and run down. The room was clean, but the bed was very hard. The chairs by the pool were obviously old and most were either ripped or completely broken. We had to ask multiple times for more toilet paper and new towels since there was no room service. On the positive side, it was in walking distance to everything downtown and on a safe, quiet street. The staff was friendly too.
Quiet
Surprise vakay
It was a surprise visit for 1 day that turned into 3.. we will be back. .only thing missing was dinner but it was walkable...loved it
Not so great for the money!
The name “resort” is definitely a misnomer. Don’t be fooled. Great curb appeal but the 2-bedroom suite was disgusting. Cobwebs everywhere and no place to set your luggage other than the floor. Patched up walls with no paint over them. The hardworking money we spent on the 3-night stay was definitely overrated. Basically a place to put your head at night but nothing more.
Very disappointed it was not disclosed continental breakfasts were only offered on weekdays. This was one of reasons for booking.
I like that it was close to main attractions.
The pool was nice and the room was nice and cold when we got in from the hot muggy air outside.
NO one cleans the room, the second night we stayed there was no clerk, the room faced trees and bushes, room was very small better for one person to stay not two, we ran out of towels and had no access to clean linens, I tried to switch the room but was told other rooms were not updated, we would have just left but, no refund would have been given. Never will book through Expedia again.
Quiet hotel, but close to shops and bars
The staff was very helpful and courteous and the hotel was conveniently located. We will definitely stay here again.
Room had an adjoining door, which means we could hear the next room's noise. Was like they were in our room. The best part was Jackie at the front desk. Friendly, polite, very helpful, and accommodating to all that I observed. Got us in the room before scheduled check in, and allowed us to store our luggage at the resort even after we checked-out so we could go eat and walk around before we departed. She was great and I can't say enough good things about her.
Very disappointed
We booked a "suite" with three queen beds through Hotels.com. The description said the unit was 1197 square feet. I would be surprised if it was 350, and the "suite" didn't even have a single chair in it - three 60-something ladies had to sit on their beds!. The description also said it included breakfast, but there was no breakfast at the hotel at all - not even coffee. No coffee maker in our room either, and one of the lamps didn't work. No desk (this was also mentioned in the description). When we talked to the front desk they were indifferent, and said they were not responsible for Hotels.com's inaccuracies in the description. I can say that the room was clean, and the beds were OK, but that's about it for good things. The pool was ice cold so you couldn't stay in it. The poolside chairs were old and had rips in them. The pool towels -- they first gave us small towels that were somewhere between a hand towel and a bath towel. When we asked if they had larger ones, they did but were hesitant to give them to us because they were "old". You weren't allowed to take any beverages into the pool area (even water or soda) - you had to purchase everything at their bar.
At $700/night, I very high expectations of at least an above average room, but that is NOT what we got! Funny that the desk clerk was adamant about not smoking in the room and the room clearly had years of smoking in it. OLD furniture, old carpeting (why not just get rid of the carpets all together?!?!) and drapes. I wouldn’t say it was dirty but it was difficult to tell because it smelled so bad!…. If the room was $50/night I probably wouldn’t have complained!
This was a very convenient and nice property. Walkable to the downtown bars and restaurants but far enough away from the noise and crowds. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The pool was also nice. Very friendly Staff!
Perfect spot for first timer
Honestly, i had pretty low expectations of any hotel on the island. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay- bed was super comfortable, place seemed clean. We loved the location- very walkable to downtown bars and such. We did not rent nor needed to rent a golf cart. Took a taxi to and from Miller ferry. Bar had good selection of drink and reasonably priced. Never made it into the pool.
Loved the front desk girl, nice location not right on the main road with everything. Nice rooms. Golf carts to rent on property! Definitely recommend it!
Close to everything
Clean, friendly, low key place. Breakfast was not available however as advertised.
Fabulous, off the beaten path. Pool and hot tub were nice.bClean and comfortable. Breakfast is coffee, muffins and juice.
Jackie is AMAZING! Absolutely kind, smart, went over and beyond constantly for us. Extremely thankful
If there is bad weather there is no way for you to get the islands
Would not let me cancel my reservations, had auto issues
Ok
The best thing for me was the really firm bed. Even though the mattress was covered in plastic and firmer than I like, slept good in it. But that is the only good thing about it. The room was mildewy and the carpet was old and stained. So was the furniture. We kept our socks on as the carpet felt wet. The hotel door and walls were stained and marked up. The bathroom door was kicked in. I took photos of the room as I cannot believe we were charged so highly for this.
We had a great relaxing time. It was a nice getaway and didn’t seem over crowded it was perfect.
The property was clean, the staff was helpful but the room was a little tired, very nondescript, no pictures, no color, no personality.
Dissatisfied with Bay lodging Resorts Suites
Screen hanging off window, broken air conditioner, burn hole in chair, shower rod broken, refrigerator not cleaned, no trash bags in suite, no TV in any of the bedrooms, staff didn’t understand/speak English to answer questions. Cart got picked up a day early without any notification or return of credit card due to Delaware Cart Rentals rented it to someone else.
Hotel is a bit dated. Nothing like the pictures. No elevator. The pool was closed for maintenance on one of our three days there. Milk in the refrigerator for their breakfast offerings was expired. Charged cash parking fee for letting us park our rented golf cart as a registered guest. Not the best hotel on the island. I would really check around before settling here.
Helped us change rooms when there was an issue with our tv. Got a better room
Great
Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Beds were very uncomfortable our air conditioner leaked water all over the floor there’s no microwave in the room there was no hot food at the continental breakfast there was never a bartender at the pool and you’re not allowed to take your own drinks to the pool. Location was great though close enough to walk to everything but still far enough away to be peaceful.
Nice little place with a perfect location.
Liked the indoor/outdoor pool being combined.
Perfect spot
Great spot at Put-in-Bay. Away from the noise and crowds but close to everything. Nice indoor/outdoor pool/spa with a bar. The breakfast is nothing special but just enough.
Decent stay, room was a little dirty and property is showing it's age. Customer service was PERFECT.
