A good surprise!

An interesting hotel on top of a pub in the old part of Andorra la vella. Room was basic but clean and everything catered for. We had a view over the front door, where they also set the tables for the pub/restaurant, so it was a little noisy until late (especially given that it was 2 days before new years'. Food was limited, no breakfast offered. Positioning was brilliant, easy to walk and see most of the town. Lovely atmosphere in the pub at night, even for us who are not night animals. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ideal location, clean and great service

The location within the old town is perfect for exploring Andorra La Vella and other parts of the country. The room was pristine and spacious with great facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Having the bar underneath was convenient for breakfast, lunch and drinks, and also added to the overall atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again!

What a great place! The room was clean and comfortable--nothing fancy, but fancy isn't really our thing. The neighborhood is amazing. And the restaurant/bar on the ground floor is great. Also, the staff is fantastic.

This hostal is located immediately above a small, eccentrically decorated pub with few seats inside, but lots of tables outside in a square in the old part of town – among other pubs. The rooms are nice – small, but charmingly decorated and comfortable. My room on the fifth floor had lovely views out over the valley to the mountains beyond as well as straight down to the square and the action below. The staff were welcoming and helpful, but were busy getting rooms ready and working the pub at the same time. You might have to wait in the pub to be checked in and shown to your room. Andorra la Vella is a modern city, but the vertical dimension requires lots of narrow and one way streets and navigating to the hostal is a bit difficult, especially as it is located on what is essentially a walking street (which Google maps directed my to drive up anyway). Parking though is nearby (five minute walk) at the six-story community parking garage. You can enter from the top nearby the hostal, but must exit from the bottom.

Absolutely beautiful! Location is midst of the cool old town. The room was uniquely decorated with attention to details. Staff was friendly and made extra effort to make me feel welcomed.

What a fantastic place

We arrived in the late afternoon on a Saturday to a very lively and busy pub smack bang in the centre of the city. Fantastic atmosphere, great ambiance and so busy that the staff were losing weight as we watched them running between tables. Parking was close by and cost 22€ for the night in a safe underground complex. All the rooms had themes as does the bar and certainly a place that is not to be missed.

Lovely little find

Whilst in France we decided to take a trip to Andorra as we had never been before. The hotel was lovely and tucked away with mountain views. The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. The service was excellent. Nothing was to much trouble. Staff were amazing and service is excellent. Would highly recommend as a place to stay when visiting 😃😃😃

Charming little place in the heart of Andorra.

I’m so sad we only stayed for a night! Loved our stay here. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The room & bathroom were huge and the property was in a great location. Yes, there’s a bar on the ground floor so noise is expected. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

The staff at the Barri Antic was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to assist us in the midst of a busy lunch hour. (The same staff run the hostel and the restaurant.) The setting of this small property in the old quarter of Andorra La Vella is simply beautiful and charming, everything clean and safe and cared for. Our simple room was comfortable and clean at a real bargain price. This was our favorite property of a three country trip.

Second time I’ve stayed at the Barri Antic - highly recommend. It’s a little gem .

Beautiful clean friendly place!

Beautiful motorcycle oriented decor. Very friendly staff. Extremely clean rooms. Great lively pub. Price is right. All in all had a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

Great environment and staff!

Right in the centre of the town

I had a very nice stay at Barri. I went from Barcelona by bus. When I reached the bus station at Andorra, it was slightly drizzling. I was following the google maps and it was a little difficult to walk all the way ‘up’ to Barri. Actually it would have been easy, had I known about this elevator within a short walk from the bus station, which could have easily made me reach Barri quickly. The owner/manager (sorry, forgot his name) of the property was standing outside and upon my arrival was quick to be back at the reception. It was a very smooth check-in and he explained me everything. Eventhough a hostel with all the facilities matching to it, I had a private room with an attached bathroom. The room did have a kind of antique feel and I quite loved it. There is a very happening pub on the ground floor which is open until late. The hotel (or the hostel) is right in the centre of the town and easy walking distance to most other restaurants/shopping/bars etc. I woke up early and wanted to go to the ski-mountains and wanted to get a taxi and luckily the owner/manager was awake and he arranged everything. He spoke to the Taxi guy in Spanish/Catalan and I didn’t have any further trouble in explaining anything to him. I had a very smooth check-out and I was guided through the easy exit through the elevators to the bus station. I would definitely be staying at Barri, next time I am at Andorra.

Better then what I expected!

The stay was better than what I expected! It is more of a "1-star hotel" then a hostel meaning that you get your own room and bathroom (which are very spacious and clean by the way) and there is access to a shared kitchen. It is conveniently placed in the city center about a 8 minute walk from the bus stop. The rooms have a fun decor, mine was cartoons. And there is free wifi as well. The only issue is that since the rooms are above the bar, you can hear the noise but nothing to terrible. The bar downstairs is lively and the service is just as great too. Please try the food its amazing! Employees also speak various languages too.

Great location, amazing views, smart decor. Lounge area, cheap beer

Disappointing. They say Hostel and thats what you get. No AC. No chair no desk. No info. No directions. Just chickens,dogs and churchbells in the morning, to go along with the bar noise outside the window into the wee hours of the night.

This is in the middle of the old city, where the streets are narrow and pedestrianized, so you have to park your bike in the square nearby. But its worth it, the place is exceptional for bikers and nonbikers. the music is great. our room is the English room, like Hard Rock, with pictures and memorabilia on the walls. the music is classic rock of all ages. sitting out on the patio with a beer watching the world go by is sublime. It is formally a hostel, but we got a private room and bathroom for two for $50 a night total. This is my must-visit place transiting from France to Spain. Andorra is an intriguing place, so stay for at least two nights, and just hang out.

Fabulous service and friendly staff. Incredible atmosphere in the “cool” part of town. Best for those who like to party as the bar downstairs stays open late. Funky room decor and very clean

Great location near bus station

Great, low cost option for a group of friends. Quarters were a little tight but was fine for a single night.

A special little place that everyone should visit!

I absolutely loved this place, as did my friends. We decided to get a 4 person room with bunk beds as it was really cheap & thought it would be fun... and it was both those things but also super clean & comfortable! The view is also stunning. The place itself is just adorable. The decor is quirky & entertaining and I love the staff who were so welcoming & helpful. It’s along a beautiful, old town street far away from the shops so it’s nice & quiet as well. Having seen a lot of Andorra on the Saturday, we spent most of Sunday sat downstairs in the bar drinking & chatting to the locals - all of whom were also welcoming, chatty & shared some history & their stories. We also spent some of the Saturday night in the bar after a night out & the atmosphere was brilliant!! Overall, we loved Andorra but what made the trip so special (for 4 friends who don’t always get to spend as much time together as they’d like too) was the Barri Antic. We’re already planning a trip for next year & will definitely be heading here again. Big thanks to the staff their for the warm fuzzy feeling we left with! ❤️

I came in with low expectations--a hostel in a bar is often a bit of a grungy, noisy, and uncomfortable affair. This was not the case at all at Barri Antic! After checkin, the hostel has a private entrance away from the bar. My room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, I got my own bathroom, my room (502) had an amazing view, and the common facilities (kitchen and lounge) were good quality and well organized. Not only would I stay here again, I would stay here much longer next time, too!

Leuk en gezellig hostel! Alles was schoon, de kamer zag er leuk uit. Alleen miste wel airco in de kamer want het was er erg warm. Het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam

Lo único que al tocar la habitación en vistas a la montaña, daba a la zona de terraza y mucho jaleo, pero volveré porque me gustó mucho el trato y el local.

La déconnection

Sejour agreable ,le plus compliqué est de pouvoir garer la voiture a moindres coût. Utilisez les zones vertes,qui restent payante,mais plus abordables. Pour l hotel barri antic,formidable de simplicité et tres atypiques.

Centraal gelegen.

Rent men i övrigt låg standard.

Rummet var rent och sängen bekväm, men en varning måste ges för att rummet blir väldigt varmt på sommaren och saknar luftkonditionering, den enda ventilationen är fönstret som i mitt rum var mot bargatan (inget luftflöde alltså). Om du förväntar dig att hitta gemensamhetsutrymmen samt ett kök med kylskåp (som det står i beskrivningen) så blir du besviken. Det är stängt med hänvisning till upprustningar, men när jag stack in huvudet innanför dörren så var det uppenbart att utrymmet nu används för pubens lager. Personalen var vänliga och trevliga dock.

Accueil chaleureux, hôtel original (déco surprenante, ambiance sympathique et tonique)... Seul bémol : pas de clim et pendant la canicule c'était dur !!
