This hotel was so good that we canceled the previously booked hotel for the second leg of our stay in Madrid and returned to Barcelo Torre. This place is 5 stars all around. Probably the best location in Madrid - right at the center of Plaza de Espagna. Breakfast had plenty of choices (we added breakfast to our booking once we saw it). We walked everywhere, enjoyed some of the landmark places in Madrid, and it is very safe. The staff is wonderful. We will definitely come back to this hotel again and again.

Excellent service. They have a valet parking that takes care of your car, gran via is literally 1 min away, plenty of shopping and restaurant options.

Fabulous hotel! Lovely accommodating staff and perfectly clean.

The hotel and room had good facilities and was clean. Metro and bus station right outside the hotel is very convenient. Downside is that the room was not very sound proof, so was a bit noisy from external noise.

From the lovely manager down, all of the staff went out of the way to ensure we had a wonderful time.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room had a good view of the Via Grande and the bed was ver comfortable

Room was great and clean, great service from the staff. Sometimes could hear/feel the train vibrations but otherwise it was relaxing.

Stylish, modern hotel in a great, central location. Easy access to central attractions and shopping by metro or on foot. The room is very comfortable with all the required amenities. The gym and pool are not huge but well-equipped and nicely laid out. Breakfast buffet is extensive, and the restaurant is bright and open.

V visiting Madrid

Well, located right on the plaza of Espana easy walk to the shopping areas. The restaurants in the area are excellent. What a lovely time we had there.

The staff we extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel bar was very charming and had a great wine selection that we took advantage of every night of our stay. We would stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Madrid!

Defiantly not a 5 star property. Maybe 4 star. Staff were not friendly, service was mediocre, the room was very nice, but corridors were worn. I was supposed to receive a free upgrade with my status and a gift card, but didn’t. Ordered 2 coffees to the room and waited 45 mins until I called and they forgot about us! Guy finally brought them and had a filthy look on his face. We had a massage which the two girls were excellent. The bar tender was also excellent. Was not impressed with this hotel, besides the location was great.

Staff were perfect. Attentive and professional. Rooms were lovely. Pool smaller than i expected. Pool only open at 10 am sadly.

Tiene una ubicacion extraordinaria, puedes caminar a casi todos los puntos de interes , el palacio, gran vía, y esta a pasos del metro y moverte por todo madrid No es un hotel nuevo ni moderno, pero es muy funcional, las habitaciones son amplias, nos quedamos en una jr suite, con una habitacion, pasillo, baño closet, y una estancia con sofa cama donde durmieron mis hijos muy comodamente El personal en general es muy amable y sonriente y servicial El desayuno bufete es bueno, con buenas opciones, fresco, fruta, zumos recien hechos, pan , yogurth, granolas, postres y omelets hechos al momento. Las gerentes de servicio siempre estan atentas a culquier duda, eventualidad o necesidad

The hotel was light and bright, staff helpful and good location. The staff gave some great dining recommendations. Breakfast was delicious with lots of delicious food.

Love this hotel it felt like home. I stood for 8 days and it was the perfect hotel. Everything is near by less crowded accommodation and friendly staff. This hotel has it all with affordable prices.

My stay at Barceló Torre de Madrid was absolutely delightful! The hotel’s central location in the heart of Madrid made it the perfect base for exploring the city's iconic landmarks, such as Plaza de España and Gran Vía, both just steps away. The rooms were beautifully designed, offering a modern yet comfortable atmosphere, and the views of the city were stunning. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Madrid!

Wonderful place had a nice time there. They need to fix the lint issue in the rooms. Clothes pick up a lot lints.

We've had a wonderful time at the Barcelo Hotel,the staff attention was superb always helping people with a smile. Unbeatable location an views, very enjoyable breakfasts with a great variety of options. It has become now our number 1 hotel whenever we go to Madrid.

The hotel was in a great location where we were able to walk to restaurants, parks, shopping, and the palace. The hotel itself was really nice and our room was big, clean and comfortable. Every hotel staff member we came across was courteous and polite. We definitely look forward to staying here again when we return to Madrid.

This is an Ideally located hotel adjacent to the plaza España. It is beautiful and wonderfully appointed. Our room was large and comfortable. Our initial experience at check-in felt a bit stilted, but the staff members were subsequently an absolute delight. Our experience was enhanced by the holiday spirit of all the staff. Our stay was an absolute delight. The concierge, Sylvia was wonderfully helpful and welcoming. She is a treasure of this hotel

Great Location

Excellent staff, excellent location, only around 7-10 minutes walk to the palace, surrounded by shopping! Evening turndown service everyday and polite courteous staff throughout the hotel- from front desk to restaurant. Great spread for breakfast buffet. My only feedback would be to change the breakfast items every couple of days or so. Since we stayed 11 days, it got repetitive but regardless, quality of food was great!

A lovely hotel, very well located and definitley felt like a 5 star. The only thing I would say is the rooms were quite small compared to other hotels of that quality I have stayed at. Despite this, they were clean and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was a great size and had a bath and shower.

This was the best hotel stay of our Spain trip. We stayed at nice hotels in Seville, Marbella, and another in Madrid. This one was by far the best for service and friendliness of staff.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, walking distance to many things and metro right in front of the hotel. We also rented a car for a day and car rental place also in front of the hotel.

Staff is rude and not courteous, If Expedia promoted this property as 5 star maybe I need not trust Expedia rating and reviews for future. This property was not even worth 1 star. Rooms were smelly and dingy. And if after paying $400.00 a night, they cannot provide more than one bottle of water, it’s pathetic.Request don’t book.I don’t want traditional apology from Hotel for inconvenience granted.Please don’t promote this property Expedia
