Lovely resort, with great dining options and friendly staff. Would highly recommend and visit again.

The housekeeping service was consistently late, and there were several issues with the room. Items were either broken or missing; for example, there was no hairdryer available, and the iron was not functioning. I had to contact housekeeping multiple times to address these problems. Additionally, the bathroom cleaning was not done at all, and no toiletries were replaced. The buffet remained the same every day, and there wasn't much for the children to do. The wellness centre could be more relaxing if they offered refreshments after the one-hour treatment. However, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel and great staff nice selection of food only thing I did not like we was delayed at airport and when we arrived at hotel the all inclusive restaurant had been closed for an hour we asked for a sandwich and was told only thing they offered was room service which we was expected to pay for

Service was very poor at Bar and restaurant area, staff don’t respond to any requests, most of the cocktails are not included in All inclusive. Restaurant staff don’t bother asking anyone for any drinks etc, even when you request for some cutlery etc they don’t come back. Serious management issues that can be easily resolved by staff training of how to take care of guests, cleaning on cubicle beds area around pool was poor, best point of hotel was excellent Landscaping all around the hotel .

The hotel itself is listed as all inclusive but they offer only one buffet option, food was not good, many days barely edible. Therefore you end up spending money on outside food. As far as the drinks you are limited to what your all inclusive included- very misleading. It also ends early. You can not find anything after 10 pm on the property to eat. Only one a la carte restaurant on the property and you have to pay for it, construction was being done so morning were loud.

Kept checking if we were “actually” half-board when having dinner and they never gave us drinks maybe a glass but other tables get a whole bottle of coke?

Generally service was very good except the main staff were awful very slow and poorly poured drinks. Gym was awful, old and broken. Adult pool was closed and being filled two days, adult pool bar was always closed

Very resort oriented. Not really great for out of country tourist as you don’t get the true feel of Morocco. Otherwise very nice.

Wonderful stay

This property is a good option to stay in if you do not mind staying around 20 mins away from Marrakesh. They do run daily shuttles but the last one is at 8 pm so you have to plan your day accordingly. The taxi fares are otherwise quite expensive which we ended up paying. Otherwise, there is quite a lot to do within the property itself, breakfast was good, a few restaurants of good quality in the property to dine in and activities for the kids.

This hotel is top notch in terms of the rooms, service and food but in the evening there was nothing, no entertainment, no cultural displays etc. so after dinner there was nothing to do.

Great location with excellent facilities. The rooms are of good standard having recently been refurbished.

This resort hotel has beautiful gardens, trees and landscape. It's serene and relaxing. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet includes plenty of offerings and selections. I stayed with my wife for four nights and we extremely enjoyed it. Will go back.

Beautiful Hotel or I must say it is a resort. The place, staff, and amenities, It is very difficult to express my honest feelings about this resort. The staff is so polite and very helpful. 3 restaurants with different cuisines. Amazing breakfast with lots of choices. Whether you are going with or without family, I strongly recommend this place to everyone. Definitely going to visit again.

Lovely Stay at the Barcelo Palmeraie

We have had a wonderful stay in Marrakesh. The Barcelona Palmeraie has been comfortable, the staff is excellent and the breakfasts delicious. We have stayed in Barcelo hotels in other cities and have been very pleased.

Incredibly Friendly Staff

I had to book this hotel last minute because the WiFi at my Riad went out. I was very impressed with the property the soon as i stepped foot inside The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were able to help me get my boarding passes printed and got me a taxi The property itself was impressive and very well maintained. The restaurant is great with a pretty big selection of food

Just adequate

Hotel is adequate, relatively clean and comfortable but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. We felt a bit ripped off by the “all-inclusive” package we booked that didn’t include most of the available amenities at the hotel (only the buffet available each day or certain items at the pool at certain times, no room service, most drinks not included and all inclusive drinks not available after 11). Pool not heated and unusable this time of year. Staff were friendly but usually just asked us to look at the app rather than helping with requests. Property was mostly empty and at times felt like we were the only people there and no real activities in the evening. It’s quite a large property and our rooms were quite far from the lobby area which added to the sense of isolation. Spa services / airport transfers / extra services were vastly more expensive than at many riads available in the Medina. Seems like the hotel is mostly used for conferences and I can imagine it would be great for that but wouldn’t recommend for holiday stays. We stayed at a riad for the first couple of days and thought that offered much better value for what we got even without the all inclusive option.

Wonderful hotel

Great hotel, well maintained beautiful grounds. Nice choice of pools. Various activities for all ages, kids club was decent too. A little out the way from the city centre but free hotel shuttle bus runs regularly. Would definitely recommend.

Every aspect of my stay was excellent.

My daughter and I had a great relaxing holiday. This is a very well maintained, spacious resort with nice pools and a few activities one could join. The all-inclusive package worked very well for us as we spent most of the time at the hotel. It would have been nice to have access to the services offered by the wellness centre in advance as it ended up to be limited to hammam/massage.

It was lovely staff great

We had a great stay at the Barcelo. We travelled with our one year old child and parents. The staff were amazing, very helpful and always attentive. The food was good. They had a range of activities including tennis, mini golf, volley ball and kids club. The swimming pools were clean and lovely. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were nice. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back or visit their sister hotels across the globe.

Very nice hotel, super friendly and helpful staff and great to be there whilst Morocco was beating Spain! Some things could do with a refresh and a little tlc (especially the small and under equipped gym) but overall it was lovely and an oasis of calm away from the madness of Marrakesh!

Awful place. There was no water and the Wi-fi didnt work. I spoke to the owner and we agreed to cancel the booking. She never returned my money.

Check in was smooth and receptionist was friendly. First they gave us a room with a very bad smell, and we had to change without any problems. First day we used the pool and didn't know about towel policy, so we had to get cards from the reception to use pool towels. 2nd day i lost clothes in the backyard and couldn't find them, reception and security wasn't with any help. My wife had a stomachache in the night, we reached out to reception for help to see nearby hospitals, he gave us directions, but it felt like they didn't care what we were going through. All in all, we wanted to stay 7 nights, but couldn't finish, we went out on our 4th day, to find an other stay.

Food was excellent, staff was amazing. The hotel overall offered us a good experience, the best so far in an all inclusive.

Good 5 star hotel. Amazing meals, people don’t speak English much as they mostly speak French but they do understand your needs and are really helpful. Everyone at front desk speaks English. Our kids loved it too.

Unsanitary, staff not wearing gloves or masks. Staff at buffet touching food with their hand when serving you; we all eventually got Covid. There was no hiding from it in such dirty hotel

Doesn't have two double beds

Everything was good with our stay, regarding the hotel and staff. My issue was hotel.com website advertises rooms with two double beds. the hotel do not have this option, very disappointing as this is important to us.

Pleasant 3 day stay

Staff was very good. Ibrahim helped me find a place to get a hair cut and arranged a driver for my wife and I. COVID protocols were in place and sensible. Location is a bit out of the way but is tranquil. Food was good. Great stay.

it's a very nice hotel. the staff are awesome very friendly the hotel it self is very nice and clean. you can bring your kids they provide plenty of activities to do. highly recommended. best part is the double pool. it is very practicle for people with no kids. they can have a quite moment in the pool.

Lovely vacation

I stayed here on a British family holiday, which overall was lovely. The food here is very nice and fresh and the staff are also very helpful. Note that the facilities are not as quoted, the fitness centre is awful. There were three machines and two of them do not work, they also do not have basketball or horse riding as advertised in this hotel. If you remove these issues, both outdoor pools are great and there is never an issue getting a sun bed. We would return back here, it was an enjoyable stay

Atika at the breakfast restaurant was amazing, customer service at the best, always took extra step to make my morning pleasant. I’ve stayed at this hotel two years ago. My thought it was much cleaner than it is now. The room was a little dusty, bottles of shampoo looked like were refilled w broken caps. But the the staff were awesome like always.

Good hotel and good service, a bit out of town, 16 min drive to city center, but in a secluded and quiet location. Overall good accommodations but some of the fixtures are starting to show age even if the hotel is relatively recent. Overall quite good.

Great for family time in late autumn season

Great long week end with the kids in autumn. Weather was good enough for outdoor activities and especially with a great kids club. 15 mn to Marrakech center and nice facilities such as heated outdoor pool, buffet was very good and service was at high standard level.

Nice property and facilities of a 5* hotel. The hotel is in the middle of no where and about 20 minutes from the centre. Good place to stay if you don’t intend of leaving everyday. Poor service and finer details lacking, felt like more like a 3* hotel because those this were missing. Rooms are small too but set up like apartment blocks so felt very private, didn’t hear other guests and our balcony wasn’t overlooked and surrounded by trees. However staff were friendly, although most did not speak English. Not sure I would stay again but the property itself is very nice.

Let down

There was no entertainment during our stay. Appreciate we did not stay during a busy period but nothing advertised was done

Friendly staff and a good place to relax in the sun for a few days, nice pool for the grownups - separate to the family pool - was a nice touch. Food is very good and varied, but very expensive compared to local rates. Way cheaper, and more interesting, to get a taxi into Marrakesh and eat there. Drinks also super expensive compared to local rates - think London prices, but for watery cocktails. Room was so, so - clean enough but AC unit smelt of drains so slept with the doors open instead; also to note the 'two double beds' option is actually one bed and one sofa bed - not that comfy if you're there for more than a few days and need both beds. Basically it's a 4 star hotel with 5 star prices, but we'd not rule out going again as you could certainly do a lot worse.

Food was good and staff great. The rooms were average in my opinion, but the restaurant, pool ( they have a Zen pool with no kids - a good concept), and service was excellent. A big negative for me was the gym: horrible. Very small space and no free weights . I couldn’t do a weight training workout to give you an idea, which never occurred to me since I travel. A huge upgrade is required on that end and if working out is important to you, pick a property with a better gym!

Beautiful hotel. Especially the common areas . Friendly staff. Bathroom need improvement especially the toilet smell lifts .

Rooms are mediocre at best. Basic! Common areas are nice but sparse. Curtains are a challenge! Bathrooms are functional!

This property was beautiful with great staff but a couple recommendations: 1. A snack bar area like other resorts is highly recommended 2. Entertainment; I saw a movie screen but it was not used while we were there Live or DJ music Clothing or Pop up boutique with local designers 3. Shuttle service into Marrekesh in the evening 4. A brochure area with options on tours and other options

Hotel setting is lovely. It has lots of lively grounds and greenery and the areas surrounding both swimming pools is lovely. However, I’m Not sure it stood up to other 5 star hotels Isabel stayed in. Bedrooms are well appointed, but are very small by 5 star standards. I stayed in a Superior Room, which had a seating area squeezed in between two wardrobes with a very uninviting sofa bed that looked cheap, and there were no cushions for comfort. The mini bar was empty and tea and coffee making facilities basic and were not replenished, which is poor for a 5 star hotel. No evening turn down service, and the balcony seating was very uncomfortable. Quality of the food in then all inclusive restaurant was very good, but repetitive and you were limited to the one restaurant. In other 5 star all inclusive hotels I’ve stayed, you’ve had the choice of 2 or 3 restaurants during your stay. You also only had access to all inclusive drinks and snacks at one of the pools, which meant you couldn’t relax at the zen pool with a nice drink. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but It doesn’t compare to any 5 star experience I’ve enjoyed before. In my view it’s more of a 3-4 star experience.

Just ok

Third Visit at this hotel (previously Pullman). We were looking forward to the visit, especially thinking that with the new ownership, the hotel would be even better. Based on this expectation, we were a bit disappointed. Nothing major to criticise, but just things here and there that make this hotel now fall behing the competition. On + side: Food is really nice, in particular the pastries ! Hotel is very family friendly with activities for kids. Rather clean overall. On - side: Rooms are not as good as some others (We stayed at Be Live Experience and rooms are just much nice). Facilities are not well maintained: there are pedalos which are now taking water so we didn't use them. The Parasols are also falling apart and really need attention. Would I come back ? Not unless they catch up with the competition...

Recommended for light skin guests... While having our breakfast i asked our server for a cup of tea... i was told to go get it myself. I Did... to my surprise the table next to me got served by our server cups of tea (several occasions)... im a generous tipper,.. maybe next time we should bring a blond wigs to get our cup of tea served to us.

Deuxième séjour en famille en 2 ans. L'hôtel est bien mieux que l'année précédente mais niveau propreté des chambres c'est moyen. Nourriture sans trop de saveur et assez répétitive. Bon petit déjeuner.

Cet hôtel est à classé en 4* car aucun luxe et service très très limité. Il devrait revoir sa politique du All Inclusive qui n'est qu'une pension complète au restaurant et quelques boissons au bar. Impossible de manger ou boire un soft à la piscine pour adulte qui n'a aucun intérêt d'exister. Hôtel qui a un cadre paisible où le personnel est au petit soin pour vous mais il manque cette sensation de bien être. Il n'y a qu'un restaurant qui vous offre toujours le même menu et surtout le bar de la piscine central ne vous propose à mangé qu'après 15h??? Tout y est assez passable dans l'ensemble pour la catégorie attendue.

Barcelo Palmeraie looks to be a Hotel which is going through a Transition. When we where there, they were finishing the whole new entrance, which looks amazing. Also the rooms looked to have gotten a recent update. For the Hotel i really hope that they will plan a renovation for the meals… For us it was very much the same everyday with not so much to choose from and often food being finished way before the closing time of the specific time of the day. Also the costumer friendliness in the restaurants werent always that good. It looks to be that there is a younger guard which is very kind, polite and helpfull and an older guard which just stands around the whole time and every bit of work they have to do seems to be too much for them… The All-inclusive system also raised some eyebrows, if you book through, in this case, expedia. You can choose between halfpension or All-Inklusive. The moment we arrived we found out that on the spot you have something called “All-Inklusive ” for this service you pay an additional 30euro’s per person per night. Which basically is the official “all-inklusive” package. Because the “normal” all-inklusive just gives you the meals and half of the drinks at the bar and the swimming pool for free…. For the other half of the menu you have to pay, or have All-Inklusive … To us this is just super weird.. Note; fix your own airport transfer; 30 euro’s is way over priced. We paid 20 which is already a high amount… can’t believe they ask such prices…

Pas digne d’un Barcelo 5*

Pas digne d’un BARCELO. Le complexe est gigantesque et pourtant la piscine est carré et petite on dirait les piscine municipale. Le sol de la piscine est extrêmement glissant il faut se tenir au barrière sinon on glisse. J’ai pris une chambre « premium » pour deux adultes et deux enfants et la chambre était toute petite ! C’était étouffant de rester à l’intérieur avec les enfants et on avais même pas la place pour poser nos valise il fallait toujours qu’elle soit fermé.

Beautiful and well maintained grounds. Some noise due to construction. Room service with Rachid is excellent. Adult pool is great. Signage indicates no smoking allowed but staff unfortunately does not enforce this which is a problem! Pricey but a positive experience!

Service excellent de la part de tous les employés. Buffet très bon pour un all inclusive et assez varié. 2 piscines selon si on veut du calme ou une après midi avec un peu plus de musique etc… Beaucoup d’activités pour tout le monde dans l’hôtel. Petit bémol pour la chambre classique, aucun espace rangement à part pour les vestes, salle de bain pas pratique du tout, gare aux inondations à chaque douche. Ménage pas fait entièrement dans les chambres (sol jamais nettoyé en 1 semaine) Je recommande cet hôtel

Notre séjour a été normal sauf deux chose. la première eau froide pour la douche de 16h a 19h la deuxième on a oublié un chargeur original de Iphone branché dans la chambre lors de notre départ le soir on a contacté la réception aucune solution depuis 2 jours.

Molto bello il giardino di palme, le piscine ..una assolutamente vietata ai minori di 16 anni. Purtroppo pessima l'assistenza clienti perché ho chiamato tutto il giorno per riuscire avere una navetta e non mi hanno mai risposto né via mail né al telefono, se non il giorno successivo. Poco chiari anche i receptionisti che dopo aver chiesto diverse volte alcune tariffe mi avevano indicato l'assoluto gratuito, al momento del check out ci hanno chiesto di pagare.

Pas de surclassement alors que l’hôtel est peu occupé. Chambre vieillotte a besoin de rénovations. Menu peu diversifié et répétitif.

Tout était parfait à part le bruit occasionné par les femmes de chambre à partir de 08H-08H30 qui étaient entrain de faire la chambre mitoyenne à la mienne (244)…parlaient très fort, claquaient la porte qui grisaillait…bref trop de bruit du bon matin. J’avais besoin de me reposer…après une longue journée de travail et un dîner d’affaire…

bel hôtel , personnel très sympathique , restauration correcte mais peu variée , un coup de neuf est mérité dans les chambres . La piscine zen est superbe mais il manque des parasols et des transats , et il faudrait renouveler les parasols qui sont pour la plupart cassé , il en manque aussi , par cette chaleur impossible de rester à la piscine sans parasol .

Das Hotel war sehr gut. Die Parkanlage wunderschön. Beim Service ist noch viel Aufholbedarf nötig für ein 5-Sterne Haus. Beim Ruhe-Pool war es manchmal sehr laut und das Personal sagte nichts, da war eher negativ. Ebenso wäre es toll, wenn im Zimmer einige Früchten wären und am Pool der Service etwas speditiver wäre. Alles in allem aber kann man das Hotel nur empfehlen.
