Very good sleep and they gave my family and I a free upgrade to one with a jacuzzi. Reflective of Banyan Tree's standards and the experience exceeded my expectations!

The unit has an epic view of the river, which is the best of the whole experience. The bad experience can start with a bad wifi connection. the power outlet on the office desk section is broken. Hence they have to provide the power extension core. Also the fridge is not working as well. Not to mention, somehow the AC was set at 30 degrees, which is hot as hell and cannot be changed and I have to call in a repairs guy. Overall not a terrible experience but definitely did not hold up to its standard.

Very enjoyable and fantastic stay

The view was fantastic, the in room hot tub was clean and well maintained, and the staff was helpful and friendly. They also did not nickle and dime the guests for every little thing. You definitely get what you pay for at this hotel, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, especially for a special occasion.

The location is not ideal because it is far away from major shopping centers and you have no night life by staying in this hotel although you get breathtaking views from every room. Checked in way before 3 pm and the staff delivered my luggages to the room even before I got the room keys. The shower room floor was slightly slanted resulting in water accumulation after shower. The hotel upgraded my room to a higher floor and better viewed room right after I reported the shower floor problem. Excellent management and response to customer service. Double sink counter with everything you can think of. The flappers are in a nice bag and can be used as a gift. Soft drinks in the room mini fridge are free. There is also a nice tea set for people who love drink tea. Automatic toilet makes going to bathroom a joyful learning experience.

Spacious room

We booked a river view room for our stay and indeed we were given one, however we saw most of the roof top of other buildings more than the river given that ours were on the 3rd floor. The service was mediocre given the standard expected from such hotel. Check in staff were professional but when we did an early check out on our last day, the staff was just sleeping on the desk. There was no apology even after we tried to wake her up, or even a simple concern about our stay. The location of the hotel is quite out of the way as well. There doesn’t seems to be any decent restaurants or shops within 0.5km from the hotel. Nonetheless, the room was really spacious and amenities were splendid.

Nice hotel and staff are friendly. Nearby environment is quiet. Actually it is not in the Bund.

Room a bit dated, curtain can’t be drawn up or down, pillow provided with all kind of stains on it under the cover.

Lovely hotel and excellent room

Lovely hotel on the banks of the river with a lovely view across the Bund. Stayed in a room with a large pool which was excellent at night to relax in with a great view across the city. The standard or the service was high. Would recommend.

My stay was horrible and I couldn’t wait to leave.

Everyone in this hotel is incompetent. Such confusion I have never seen. To say this hotel is on the Bund is misleading - it is on the North Bund which is 1 mile from any life, restaurant or activity. The view is to the backside of PuDong skyline! The place is dead. Breakfast is a disaster. No service.

WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD IN A HOTEL

We went fior a staycation, and I have never written a review for any excellent or horrible stays in any of the resorts, hotels because even if the stay is bad, it's just bad. THIS HOTEL FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING for any restaurant, let alone a hotel, and our room was over $500!!! They served frozen fried Japanese chicken with sugar and when we asked them why it was so cold, the so-called "chef" told us that it was Japanese as if we had come to the hotel from some cave and had never eaten Japanese food or lived there or visited. My two children and I walked out of the meal and my husband told them that we could not eat the food but they still made us pay for 70% of the food - they gave us a "discount" of 30 percent which was ridiculous because we did not eat it! Then we had to order disgusting room service because kids were hungry - the burger and fries were the best bet and we survived. The next morning, we paid again for their breakfast buffet because everyone was hungry and from a quick glance, it looked one thousand percent better than what we had the evening prior. But nope, we were duped yet again. If it weren't for the amazing room with the panorama view and the pool inside the room - we would have had a huge fight with the staff. The staff is oblivious to English because I told our hotel attendant who took care of me during checkout that it was the most disgusting hotel food I have ever had, he said "thank you." I was pretty speechless.

Excellent hotel with breathtaking view

Arrived early and the room was not available. Offered upgrade with a minimal fee of only $50. The new room has a panoramic view of Huangpu river. You can lay back in the huge tub next to the window and immerse yourself in the breathtaking view. There is separate shower and toilets. The toilet is fully automatic. However, the hotel is located in an old neighborhood when there will be construction to make it a totally different one. It is extremely difficult to find taxi unless you know and have the capability to order a “Didi” (Uber’s Chinese version). Shopping and other activities are not within walking distance. In summary, this hotel is for high-end customers who have private vehicles that can get them to where they would like to go.

A nice retreat in shanghai

I stayed at the Banyan tree on the bund in shanghai for 2 nights. This is a party trip with friends, however, I choose to stay here because I wanted some down and calming time to myself outside the party hours. This hotel is probably the best one if you are searching for some ME time, the view is simply gorgeous, not to mention the panoramic view of the bund and pudong at the TOPS bar. Would definitely return to this hotel next time when I am in Shanghai.

The hotel was fantastic. It had wonderful view of bund and provided excellent services. I loved the room where I stayed. Just a little improvement for the hotel, the facility may need to be improved.

Horrible. Stay didn't work. It was warm all night. Get engineering and they said it was normal. That's bs. I stay in ritz Carlton and four seasons all around the world. Room service food is not very good. Also took them 1 hour to get me a taxi to the airport.

Seriously good service and luxury resort. The view is amazing and the private dip pool in the oasis room is perfect for an evening wine with a view! Definetly recomend to anyone!

We loved that this hotel is close to the Bund river and that it comes with a nice bathtub overlooking the Bund. Also breakfast was pretty good. Staff is a little uptight and ridged with rules. They should be more friendly and approachable. The hotel itself is nice and has nice spacious rooms to hang out in. Great amenities!

Good service staff, room is spacious and bathroom is large with nice hot tub. Only downside is location abit far from city attractions or restaurants , rail station is about 400-500m away which is okay. Breakfast selection is not as much as other top hotels.

Out of the way but worth it

Excellent property that has fantastic view across river to Pudong. Used Metro to get to and from each day and that worked well. No shops or Restaurants nearby, but well worth the effort to get to as it is very modern, great service, and TOPS Bar has the best views in Shanghai.

Weekend Romantic Getaway

I loved the staff. The concierge was extremely helpful - arranged a car for me to pick up my wife at the airport and I got to stop for flowers along the way. Very seamless. The room was excellent, but a little pricey for the added amenity of the VERY romantic in room oasis. The view of the Huangpu River - I mean I felt I was on the bank, looking at the Imperial Tower across the way and the skyline - was breathtaking. Proximity to the Bund was a little out of the way and "local" restaurants were sparse. The property was well maintained and the maid staff was efficient and professional. The breakfast at 300 rmb/person (could have been 200, if I had booked the room with breakfast) was outrageously high. Good quality food and good selection and abundance, but it wasn't worth $90 for breakfast for two people, but as mentioned previously, there isn't really a lot of other choices.

Thanksgiving at Banyan Tree

From checkin to checkout and all inbetween the staff were friendly, attentive and responsive to our needs. We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel on the north bund.

The one night stay is amazing, the hotel own great view of huangpu river, all hotel stuff is well trained and willing to help you. The bedding is comortable. Will consider to back in the future

Rooms are great, but the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, with nothing interesting around l. The staff is serious and maybe even a bit grupmy. If you like courteus, friendly service try thr Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental. The Banyan Tree probably has the most expensive (and limited) buffe of the top 5 hotels in the city (I have tried them all) and, again, service is poor with a staff with very very limited english. Try ordering a coffee with skim milk.

Great hotel, service needs improving

Great hotel facilities and rooms ( rooftop bar us amazing when open too weather permitting) the service isn't however up to banyan tree standards. We used all bars/restaurant whilst there and servers weren't attentive and was very slow there was nobody else in bar and it took 20 minutes for drink. A little further out than main bund attractions but only a 2 dollar taxi journey away so for hotel facilities within room didn't bother us. Felt concierge's were trying to sell us stuff all time when asking for recommendations.

Very nice new hotel

Staff were very helpful and efficient. The room was large with all features you could every want including a laundry cupboard where you put your clothes and they arrive back there on rail.. the view from the window of the Bund is incredible better than Hong Kong. The buildings have LED lights and the charter boats have led you can lay in bed a view this amazing scene.

Great room by the river. Although it is a new hotel, maintenance level is only mediocre. There are holes on the curtain, some lights dont function properly, and the carpet seems dirty. Otherwise, the room size is great, the bed is super comfortable, and best amenities ever. Breakfast kind of didnt work...just dont order the pastry basket!! It will disappoint u! Staff in general have friendly attitude! Thumbs up.

쉬어가는 호텔이었음. 주변에 암것도 없어서 쉬러만 감. 루프탑바 뷰 멋지고 객실에서 보는 뷰도 멋짐. 상하이에서 5성급 4개를 머물렀는데 반얀트리만 화장실에 비데 있었음ㅋ조식도 여기가 제일 훌륭했음. 청결과 서비스가 좋았음

Hotellet ligger meget sentralt. Det er gangavstand til mange turistmål. Det er et stort svømmebasseng og treningsrom i underetasjen. Det er en hyggelig restaurant i første etasje hvor det også serveres nydelig frokost.

Det ligger et fasjonabelt kjøpesenter 5 min fra hotellet hvor det er 20-30 spisesteder i forskjellige prisklasser. Hotellet har store rom og servicen var upåklagelig. Det er et stort svømmebasseng og treningsrom i underetasjen. Det er en hyggelig restaurant i første etasje hvor det også serveres nydelig frokost.

温水プールに惹かれて滞在してみました。39度に保たれたプールはとても良かったです。外滩の景色も最高でした。

非常完美的住宿體驗，酒店根據我的備注提供了非常好的房間，景致一流。雖然住宿過程中有一點溝通誤會但很好的解決了。非常滿意。

感謝這次前台服務人員的熱情接待和詳細的解說，以及協助升等全江景客房，讓我們連續兩晚伴這美麗的江景入眠。對房間非常的滿意。提行李接待及房務也非常的親切，門口接待人員也對於我們詢問的景點很積極的幫我們尋找路線。房間當然非常好沒話說，整潔、隔音、可愛小烏龜飾品非常的驚艷貼心。只在於離地鐵站有段距離。整體而言非常的滿意，下次還會選擇入住此飯店。

日本語はもちろん、英語もあまり通じない上海で、タクシーの手配やディズニーランドの予約代行、レストラン予約などなど、全てを任せられる安心感がありました。センスの良い部屋には帰るたびにフルーツやデザートがあり、曜日毎にかわるアロマにも癒されました。そして13階の最上階にあるテラスの眺めはとにかく素晴らしく、時間を忘れて過ごすことが出来ました。

喜出望外

之前看酒店的評語好像有點負評，但基於酒店的位置能看到外灘的景色，所以我也就抱著試試看的心態訂了這間酒店(始終也不便宜)，結果五星級的酒店還是有五星級的服務，員工們非常友善，在繁忙時段打不到車也主動幫忙叫車，房間里就如圖片所示一樣的高級，景色也是沒有讓我失望，一家大小都住得非常開心，下次到上海一定會再次入住，到晚上還可以到酒店的頂樓酒吧欣賞外灘夜境(小朋友也可以進場的)，不用到江邊跟觀光客們擠擁，對於我們有小朋友的家庭來說就最方便不過了。

房間超美，浴室設備很好，我們有一個非常舒適的晚上。天台酒吧環境也不錯，值得一試。 唯交通不算太便利，始終不近市區，但仍然是近地鐵的。

상해에 갈때마다 생각날 호텔

엄청 만족 스러웠습니다. 일단 방과 방에서 보이는 뷰가 환상적입니다. 그리고 반얀트리 특유의 향도 참 마음에 들었습니다.

위치말고는 흠잡을것이 없었습니다. 특히 한국직원분이 친절하게 대해주셔서 인상적이었습니다.

跟其他國家的悅榕莊相比太一般了 安排停車的位置非常不便 房間的地板都是花的刮痕 看起來很不高級飯店 已經是晚上才check in 等了非常久才能check in 房間裡的空調不冷 本來是和先生的浪漫旅行 check in時說只有剩下3樓的房間 特地還額外付錢升級12樓望著外灘的池房 下次不會選擇上海入住banyan tree

시설, 직원 친절도, 룸상태 등 최고의호텔로생각되나 위치가 주변에 할게없음. 저녁에 택시들이 가려고하지않음. 뷰도 약간 아쉬웠음.

Großzügige, luxuriöse Zimmer mit Blick auf die Skyline, einige auch auf den historischen Bund. Viele kleine schöne Extras im Zimmer. Sensationeller Blick von der Dachterrasse aus, ideal für Aperitif am Abend. Großer Gym.

バンヤンツリーの中で最悪

部屋のレベルや窓からの景色はさすがでしたが、従業員のレベルが低過ぎです。前日にホテルの車を予約したのに、予約が入っていなかったり、ロビーで肘を付きながら仕事していたり、挨拶も出来ない。朝食も３日間殆ど同じメニューでした。大変残念でした。

各方面都不錯，一次滿意的旅程

위치와 이동편의성이 정말 별로였고 네시에 도착했는데도 청소하느라 체크인이 불가하였음. 급한 청소로 숙소도 깨끗하진 않았음.

周边在修路

房间很大,望得见江景，夜景日景都很美。有不少小点心、水果、甜点，给人惊喜。
