Almost Perfect

The service and comfort of this hotel were almost reflective a five star hotel. The design of the rooms was not so outdated as some others have commented, and I am not a fan of the ultramodern look anyways. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with many options for coffee, juice, meats, and breads. The room cleanliness could be improved somewhat. The most significant point of concern was the lack of proper air conditioning. It was barely functioning and I had to complain a few times. The hotel responded in a very timely way, and assured me the AC was working. But the airflow was weak, and took a full day and to actually cool down the room.

This hotel knows how to give a 5 star experience. All the other "5-star" hotels were so far away from this hotel. So many wonderful touches from the turn down service with scented wax and a small gift, to the complimentary tea time with snacks, to the breakfast. We love that they had a dress code so you didn't have to see strangers in their pajamas at breakfast lol. It's a bit far from the main attractions but cabs and tuktuks are waiting out front so it's easy to get where you want to.

Great hospitality from checkin to checkout

Good hotel, but a little out of the way. Had a few issues with a broken coffee machine and a intermittent hot water.

The Vertigo Bar was stunning.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. We arrived 3 hours early and we were shown to our suite. Afternoon tea, drinks and canapés and breakfast all included in ‘club status’. Well worth paying a little extra for the privilege. Exceptional Staff. Vertigo Restaurant and Moon Bar is such a wonderful experience.

Perfect stay in Bangkok

True 5 star hotel where the guest experience is the most important aspect of what they do. Good breakfast buffet and they allowed me to check in 2 hrs early.

Banyan continues to be my favorite hotel during my stays in Bangkok. The staff operates in a level above and beyond other local hotels. They are professional, helpful, and pleasant. They really make a customer feel welcome. The food is also phenomenal. I’m not a breakfast person but I kept going to the buffet because of the quality of the selection. It’s healthy and delicious! The hotel’s best amenity remains the spa and the aromatherapy used throughout the stay. They continually change the fragrances in the room, which helps the guest relax. My only qualm remains the long walk to the local dining areas, but you get what you pay for especially with Banyan. The quality is definitely 5 star.

Very nice hotel for a few days stay

Staff were very helpful, Rooftop bar has great views across Bangkok. Breakfast was very good. Overall the hotel is excellent but there were one or two small items in our bedroom that need maintenance. It is a very busy part of Bangkok and getting anywhere by taxi can be slow due to the traffic. I’d recommend using the trains as an alternative

Even though the furniture is a little old, atmosphere is good. Room is large.

Amazing in every way!

Amazing customer service

I will totally recommend this hotel for travelers who’s trying to get away from the very busy and hectic Sukhumvit street hotels. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.Special thanks to Annie Park at the checking desk for helping us navigating how to get to the attractions around Bangkok. She also send my wife a belated birthday cake. The only drawback was, you had to walk about 15 minutes to the MRT station. Thanks to all the staff.

Ok - not what it used to be.

We stayed here 8 years ago and loved it - this time around the hotel felt tired, though I must say the staff were fantastic. The Moon bar is of course brilliant and the pool was great but food was not as good as before either notably the Chinese Baiyun. Clearly this was once one of the best hotels in Bangkok and now needs a bit of investment tho feel that was reflected in the price as value for location and room is outstanding to rest of the city… Rooms were much noisier than before too, noticed the glass was just a panel not double glazed so if light sleepers choose elsewhere.

Staff was friendly and amazing! Ms. Pim of the 19th floor reception skillfully presented me with all the information needed to allow me to get comfortable at this property. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. A lack of working outlets near the bed and throughout the bathroom did pose some inconvenience. Only real issue was on both occassions when I scheduled for the room to be refreshed by a certain time, it was not completed on time. Having an understanding of staffing and challenges in housekeeping, I made each of my requests 3 to 4 hours ahead of the requested time. Although, I had to push an appointment as a result of the missed marks, I would not hesitate to stay at this property again.

Excelence

This is a top class hotel and possibly the best I have ever stayed in. It is located about a 3 minute walk from the metro with easy access to all the sights. The staff in all areas are extremely courteous and go out of their way to help for anything. The general ambiance of the public area was relaxed with beautiful decoration. The rooms are spacious and spotless and well designed with gorgeous toiletries. The breakfast is amazing with a vast variety to cater for all tastes from Western to Thai. We ate at the restaurant where the service was first class and also at Vertigo which was an amazing experience. We used the hotel’s transport service to and from the hotel which was seamless. I would highly recommend this as we were coming off a long overnight flight and it made the 40 minute journey a pleasure. Overall this hotel offers the most fantastic value for money and I would recommend to anyone staying in Bangkok.

Mr Chin at concierge was magnificent. Food and service exceeded. Only downside was the swimming pool is small and overshadowed by the building . We like to sunbathe and couldn’t, due to this .

This is probably my favorite hotel of all time. The room size, amenities and friendliness were on point.

Simply one of the best hotel we’ve stayed in Asia worthy of 5 stars. From the management to the staff. Service with a smile is what this hotel is about. The decor and lay out is exceptionally detailed. We had a wonderful and fantastic time here and will definite be back.

Amazing place to stay. Exceeded my expectations. The staff was amazing.

This is the best hotel I have ever been to. Everything about it was perfect. I did not give excellent because we had to wait a long time to get on the elevator up to our room. Mostly because the hotel has a rooftop bar with many outside guests coming to visit. I would like to give a special shoutout to Nun, one of the managers at Banyan Tree, who was very helpful when I fell ill and had to have a doctor come over. Their breakfast buffet is awesome! All the staff was always smiling and welcoming. I definitely will be visiting them again anytime I'm in Bagkok.

Amazing property

Madly deeply in love with Banyan Tree. Amazing property and beautiful place. Very lovely people and I love the saffron restaurant. Amazing food and view. Breakfast is amazing and all special diets are being taking care of. I also liked the staff there. At the front desk there is a very sweet person called Annie. So warmly welcomed me and also very kind.

old hotel with no sound proofed door. woke me up every time when someone closes door. also staff gave me a room above swimming pool, with no view off wall for 4 days i didn’t get sunlight in the room during whole stay.

Great hotel

Excellent staff. Extremely polite and always ready and happy to attend to your needs. When issues did arise, they were takes care of immediately.

The property was nice and staff at the hotel were very nice especially at the lounge on 19th floor.. I was really looking forward to the rooftop which was kind of disappointing.. the music was not what I expected and the staff was probably my least favorite in Bangkok.. the drinks were ok

A bit of luxury at a great price

Stayed for 2 nights in a Skyline Park View. Our room was on the 55th floor - amazing views. Room was a great size, well set out and very clean. Great choice at breakfast buffet. Nice pool area. Hotel is about 10mins walk to the BTS station. Would stay again when we’re in Bangkok.

The hotel was fabulous , the service was superb and attention to detail impressive Only stayed one night but would definitely stay here again

Professional staff

The rooms were spacious and elegantly appointed. Although the furniture is a bit dated, it’s well-maintained and exudes an opulent charm. The breakfast buffet was divine, successfully accommodating a wide variety of food options, which is a rare feat. The other restaurants within the hotel were also worth visiting.

Most helpfull staff

The hospitality, cleanliness and all round quality feeling makes this an exceptional hotel to stay in the centre of Bangkok.

Staffs are super friendly. Rooms are lovely decorated with beautiful scent.

Spa Suite with Massage included , in our room. Incredible corner suite. Vertigo on the roof for an incredible dinner! Top notch! Its time for some finish-upgrades, as granite is out of date, but 2 restrooms large living area, large bedroom, wonderful! Wes D

By far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff were welcoming and friendly as soon as we arrived, they were extremely helpful too. Our room was in the 57th floor and the view over Bangkok was incredible. The room was stunning, clean and had so many little touches. In the evening we went up to the roof top bar which just made the whole experience. The views were out of this world. We will be returning

overall great, but not like 5-star Banyantree brand standard in other cities.

We travelled as a couple and truly enjoyed our stay at Banyan Tree. Breakfast at Romsai was fantastic, as was our dinner at Saffron. Vertigo provides a great view of the city and was a lot of fun. The room also provides an awesome view, and was very beautiful and clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location is great and has easy access to MRT.

Perfect for a "Staycation" for us Bangkok residents. Super friendly and professional staff willing to help. The rooms were well appointed and comfy bed. We had a fantastic evening visiting the Vertigo bar that lives up to the hype. A wonderful stay. Will be back!

Great hotel

It’s a great hotel to stay, comfortable bed, luxury room and warm staff on the sky bar and reception.

Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. Expected better. The rooms are very dated. Looks like they haven’t been updated since they opened 20 years ago. Doubt we’d stay again.

First time at the Banyan Tree. The staff were amazing, they couldn’t do enough for you! The food choices were exceptional and so was the quality. I used the Spa regularly and the therapists were excellent. Great value for money all round!

Superb hotel in every way!

Don't come here on vacation because its the financial district. In the elevator, the lobby, the restaurants, you'll be under dressed and out of place, surrounded by people heading to strategy sessions and client meetings.. The hotel restaurants are high priced and for business travelers on expense accounts. The neighborhood is also the financial district, so it is very expensive wrong for tourists.

Banyan tree had excellent service from initial check in to leaving. The buffet breakfast was very tasty & the amenities in the hotel like the popular roof top bar & restaurant in the hotel were fantastic. Lovely hotel to stay but slightly expensive.

Great service, location and value for money

Great hotel in central location. 10 minutes walk to either Lumpini or Silom mrt stations. Club room option definitely worth it with 19th floor lounge. Afternoon tea then canapes and free flow wine and beer 17.30 to 19.30. High floors have amazing views and roof top bar a must.

The Banyan Tree is still a classic hotel brand! Seamless check in on the 19th floor - nicely appointed rooms, lounge had a nice breakfast spread and cocktail hour had very filling options as well. The spa was such a serene and relaxing experience. Massage and facilities were excellent! Special shout out to all the staff on the 19th floor and the concierge services!!! The drivers, valets were all very helpful and hospitable Nice trip with our very big group of friends. Thank you Banyan Tree. Will definitely stay again.

Great hotel the staff are very kind

I would not recommend staying here. The property has great restaurants and a rooftop bar but makes no special accommodation for its hotel guests. We were turned away because facilities were at capacity each time we tried to go, so in the future I would just make a reservation for the vertigo bar and stay at another hotel. The pool is very small and the rooms are a bit outdated. Staff was nice but not super helpful. Not a bad choice but with so many hotels in Bangkok to choose from this would not be our first choice next time.

Great hotel in quiet surroundings

Another nice stay at Banyan Tree. We booked club lounge access which worth the money. Good sized and well equipped room. Traffic at South Sathon Road does pose challenge especially during rainy days but manageable and far more quiet than other tourist hotel areas like Sukhumvit. Smoking terrace with glass room not the best concept.

The staff was very helpful. The facility is modern and well-maintained.
