Very welcoming host, good breakfast, spacious and clean rooms. Would be very happy to stay again should we be in the area.
Good quality breakfast.
Nice property to stay at.
Angela was so kindly
It was located bang on city centre and walkable access to eating places. Host of property was amazing and added a personal touch to the stay which made it more wonderful. It was noisy for us on weekend night as there are also clubs nearby.
We booked a family room and pre-paid AUD$184, a king size bed was advertised. When we booked in we were clearly unexpected and received a small room with a double bed. Horrible bed, black hair in the floor of the shower, wont be back.
Very good stay i would recommend it
Lovely overnight.
The owner phoned to check our ETA, waited on us to arrive and showed us around. Have good local info and even arranged an early breakfast! Excellent service.
Angela is a great host, room was clean and comfortable, property is centrally located and the local eateries are within walking distance, parking is free and easy to access, and the breakfast is lovely :-)
Everything about this stay was perfect except that our room was 3 flights up so lots of stairs, but in saying that would stay there again.
A welcoming break
A quiet family run establishment with comfortable rooms and a hearty breakfast. Owner was chatty and very friendly, with big plans for the establishment. I’d happily recommend the Bank for anyone seeking an overnight stop touring this amazing part of Scotland.
Nice stopover place
Friendly and helpful staff, nice room and decent breakfast. The parking is behind the building in a free public car park, but very close to the hotel. A few local eating places were recommended.
Great stay.
Angela was the perfect hostess and very helpful with info about the area, dining etc. The room was spacious, the en suite clean, the breakfast was excellent.
Hotel pictures make the hotel look better quality that it was. The bed was rickety and the matress was really uncomfortable and worn you could feel the springs and it was creaky we hardly slept. The host was friendly and breakfast was good.
friendly atmosphere which matched our hosts. only drawback is that there are a number of stairs to negotiate. the property was well looked after and the breakfast enjoyable and plentiful and comfortable beds
I did not see anyone during my 2 night stay. I tried to contact owners regards time for breakfast etc, but to no avail. I assumed the key sitting out was for me but there was nothing to say what room I was in or any kind of message.
Decent
No one was present at check in and no instructions were left, but a quick phone call cleared that up and they let us know where the keys were at what room was ours. Clean room but a very uncomfortable bed and not great water pressure in the shower. Nice and clean though, and all COVID-19 measures being followed. Old building so the door shook all night (or a ghost was trying to get in). Breakfast was a bit disappointing - instant coffee, and continental breakfast with cereal, instant porridge, toast and yogurt.
Great 2 day stay.
Very welcoming host, well presented clean large room in good central location
Very warm welcome and great central lication with parking out back. Comfortable room and beds and lovely shower gel and hand/face wash.
overnight stay on NC500
Decent off street parking, although this is changing to fee paying soon. Ideally located in the centre of the town. Do it yourself breakfast was interesting
Good location, close to everything.
If there is something we must highlight that'd be the very good breakfast. This central guest house has a suited dinning room, on 1st floor, where to take breakfast and connect to wifi. Unfortunately the wifi doesn't reach the room with good quality (rooms on top floor). The room has fair size and great shower. Double bed size and mattress weren't comfy though.
Very satisfactory, but strange to have no person present for our stay.

Lovely host comfortable set up 1 chair had leg missing
Vincent
Comfortable stay and has warm welcome from Angela and William, best home made Breakfast we ever had. Thank you
We wanted to drop off our bags early but couldn't, and because we were having problems with cell service we couldn't call. We did get in and the room was very nice. There was a good shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. The area had good food nearby and parking in back -- a bit of a haul, but we smartly packed light for the one nignt.
Bank Guest House, Wick
The Bank Guest House was a lovely place to stay. Good location and hosts Angela and William made us feel very welcome. They have done an amazing job in setting up their home and separate guest accommodation in the bank building. It has character and charm. Our room was cozy, comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were delicious. Thank you for a great place to stay in Wick.
Slightly old property.. decent location Breakfast was good!
A cozy B&B in a small village of Wick.
A family owned nice B&B. Breakfast was good. Thanks again!!
Not a good experience in Wick
We booked because it offered a cooked breakfast. We thought it was overpriced but settled for it. However we were informed on arrival that it was a self service continental breakfast with no staff present. When I showed them the Hotels.com email which contained the above mentioned cooked breakfast this seemed to aggravate then enraged them, the husband especially who became very loud and belligerent. We left very upset and aggrieved. They claimed they had not offered this service for over a year and accepted no responsibility for it. A terrible time.
One of the better places we stayed while doing the 500
Great location. Room was clean and comfortable. Service was excellent.
Love the old building and how it has been refurbished into very pleasant rooms
Close to everything, room was clean and well appointed. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was great.
Central location.
Didn't like having to be at breakfast by 8.30am at the latest. Also, could hear conversations from the owners below.
A big thanks to William Gun for helping my sister in law and nephew in the journey to London excellent human being God bless him x
The hosts William and Angela were so friendly and made you feel welcome. The room was large and very comfortable, The Breakfast was excellent. Would go again if we are in the area. Your site Expedia gives out the wrong information as to check in, it says you can check in at 6 am which is a bit strange when you think about it and of course you can not it should be 4 pm.
An older property but looks well maintained. Owner an excellent host.
Lovely old converted building in the middle of Wick and a really nice breakfast in the morning as well
It was somewhere to sleep, not a bad place to stay, breakfast was good and plentiful
Well positioned
Hotel was everything we needed,in town good parking and comfortable Host was extremely polite and helpful, even gave us tips of how to create the perfect scrabbled egg 👍
Very comfortable rooms in the heart of the town. Not much parking space.
A very friendly greeting and ongoing service from the owner. The owner was quick to direct us to free overnight parking within view of the B&B and also to eating options within an easy walk. A delicious breakfast.
Poor town centre
This hotel is right on the Main Street parking can be had.at the rear of the hotel but not part of the hotel the entrance is old fashioned up a flight of stairs the dining room is on the left up again is the small bedrooms and newish shower room at night there was an awful noise from the seagulls, you order breakfast the night before which was ok but not great for the price paid
Lovely Guest House
A comfortable guest house, friendly staff & excellent full Scottish breakfast
Thumbs up with only minor issues. :P
Very spacious room though indications to the reception were a bit off and need placing in more prominent positions especially as its upstairs. More sockets for charging things would be useful. Good stay all in all would use again especially as I booked at short notice.
Good base for an Orkney day trip.
I stayed at the Old Salt House self-catered apartment #1. The apartment has everything you might need for an enjoyable stay. The location is an easy walk across the bridge into the center of Wick.
Very quiet. Short walk to a great restaurant and to the Old Pulteney distillery. We needed some help adjusting to local circumstances and the owners were very helpful
Comfortable and quiet family 👪 room.
Beds were very comfortable, bedding in an excellent condition. Breakfast was cooked fresh and we loved it. My boiled egg was done to a perfection. Deliciously tasty coffee. Thank You 😊 Angela and William.
In the centre of town handy for everything.
Being early March we were the only guests. With the owners having to be elsewhere we had the run of the place. Not only were we trusted we were given £10 back for our inconvenience.

Not the Ritz, but clean, dry & warm, goodbreakfast
It looks "down at heel" when you arrive and there's no-one there to greet you, or even let you in! But a quick call sorted it all out. Once inside the room was warm and has some nice touches. Breakfast was great.
