Incredible resort with everything you need! Amazing service with such friendly and helpful staff
Nice place for families.
Our stay at Bandara was fantastic. The resort staff was so very helpful, kind & friendly. The location within walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf was amazing too. Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!
Beautiful Resort. Great stay. Will be back soon…
Perfect. Couldn’t fault anything.
Perfect. Lovely bit of luxury during our tour of Thailand.
Cleo is the best employee!!! She welcomed me and my son with such love and care! She was so thoughtful and was our star 🌟 of this trip! 3 weeks in Thailand and when we got to Bandara Resort I wished we had more time to stay there! Beautiful place, lovely resort. Cleo, thank you so much for making our experience a great one! We will never forget you! ❤️ Mali and Riley from New York.
So many stairs
This hotel is quite large and runs from the main road all the way down to the beach which is where breakfast is served. The main block has a lift covering all floors and otherwise its lots of stairs including to the main pool which makes it inaccessible if disabled. Staff are lovely. Breakfast was quite ok although a bit repetitive. Close to fisherman's village and night market. All very walkable. They have quite a number of private bungalows with their own little pool. Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of renovations going on including the pool area near the beach. Also rooms are not very soundproof from the outside as there is no double glazing on windows. Our room although spacious and generally clean could do with a refurb. Wouldn't recommend staying if you had an issue with stairs.
I booked the courtyard plunge pool room purely for the option of the outdoor bath tub. The price was the same price for the larger pool and indoor bath tub. I was not able to use the outdoor bathtub. Not only was the tub dirty, beyond it getting dirty from being outside, but there were tiles that were broken and the area around the tub smelled. When I went to fill up the tub after tried to clean it, the water was a dingy brown and I ended up not using it during my stay. Neither did my friends who also booked the same room. I was actually disappointed and should have booked the indoor bath tub. The plunge pool area was nice. The cleanliness in the hotel room was another matter. I found dried chocolate on the floor near the bed. I never ate chocolate in the room. It didn’t not seem like there was a proper cleaning done, just a quick towel exchange and bed made up.
Fantastic hotel great area and great srrvivr
Stayed in a pool villa room. Excellent size room and pool was bigger than expected
Great location and amazing staff. Main pool is the best. Some towel fittings in our room were broken, and pool menu options a little limited.
Property good . Rooms a little tired. Good size room bathroom adequate. Staff friendly and helpful. Right on the beach. Nice beach area plenty of lounges. Good breakfast. Easy walk to Fisherman’s village.
My stay at Bandara was wonderful from arrival to leaving the resort. All of the staff are welcoming and friendly, and go out of their way to ensure you are enjoying your stay. I would especially like to thank John for giving me a great tour of the resort when taking me to my room and Rex for being so helpful when extending my stay and carrying my bags for me as I was leaving. I enjoyed my stay so much and hope to stay here again in the future!
A lovely hotel nicely located. The staffs are great, very polite and helpful. The food and facilities are great. A nice beach and pool with free sunbeds. The hotel is clean and very beautiful. We did not see any mosquitoes at this hotel! We have really appreciated our stay and we highly recommend to others.
What can we say our experience was made fabulous thanks to Kitti. Kitti is a gem at Bandara, he made our stay become amazing. Where we thought we were going to have an average stay, Kitti made it amazing. large property with many different combinations to suit everyone's needs. Not far to many dining options, easily walkable. Nice food and atmosphere at the bar. Breakfast had a variety to choose from. Kitti is a valuable member of Bandara, a gem. Thank you Kitti
The hotel was lovely and our deluxe room 148 on 2nd floor was spacious and nor overlooked. The room was huge and had separate walk in shower and toilet. Shower pressure for the soaker head was weak although body jets were very powerful. Room service was ok but should have replenished the tea/coffee/whitener daily. Our only grievance which was resolved was that we booked the snack and daily cocktails package with expedia. The hotel was clueless what this meant and tried to fob us off with a daily snack to share. The bar were petty with yhe snacks and gave a smaller platter than if you had paid the 250bht. That was petty but that was the only thing. Kitty resolved the snack issue. The hotel has a massive main pool and a secluded adult pool. Grounds were beautiful and there was never a problem getting a parasol and sun lounger by either the beach or pools. We loved our stay and would return. Having seen standard rooms from the outside only. I suggest always booking a better room. Thank you for a great stay
This hotel has great, friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are well maintained and clean. The breakfast is excellent and there are two pool areas. Everything is spotless. The only thing I would say is that they need to adhere to their own towel pool policy and remove them if no-one turns up within 30 mins as there aren’t enough beds and they need more parasols on the beach. Would recommend but it is a family resort so not for you if you get annoyed by kids.
The courtyard plunge pool villa was amazing, the perfect oasis for a couple to escape back to or just relax in peace. The resort is located walking to the fisherman’s village filled with restaurants, bars & a great night market. Buffet breakfast was good but not great with a peculiar layout and while they try to cater to both this is more of a family resort.
It was a good place to stay but beach isn’t very nice
Had a great stay as a solo female traveller, lovely staff, great location, loved being able to walk out directly onto the beach, be a walkable distance to some great food spots and the Fisherman’s Village Market area. I had booked onto a few tours on the island and this location was easy for the pick up cars to collect me from and drop me back to. Really beautiful grounds and had a perfect relaxing time. They also offered watersports like SUP paddleboarding hire. Only negative was that they were renovating for most of my time there (I wasn't made aware till arrived) and therefore I didn’t get to stay in the room I had booked. Ended up in a “family room” which was bigger so that was good, but just not to my taste style-wise. I had 2 days at the end when the renovations finished and the work they had done looked very nice. Would highly recommend this hotel! :)
Amazing for family travel, you gonna love it
Beautiful place with excellent staff. Easy walking distance to Fishermans village.
The staffs are great and friendly. Good location. Delicious breakfast and room service's food. I am happy about oil massage at sunshine spa.
Loved our stay here in two different types of rooms, both were great!
Service was excellant
Loved the layout of the property. Our villa(with plunge pool) was very close to the main pool and we never had any trouble getting a sunbed. Another pool was located right on the beach near the bar/restaurant area-it was perfect. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Tim, she gave us directions, suggested places to eat and really looked after us. There wasn’t anything to dislike and we shall recommend it to others.
Can’t recommend this resort enough! Has everything g you need. Lovely staff, great rooms, excellent facilities, close to fishermans village, breakfast range is on point, 10 out of 10.
We absolutely loved our stay in the family room at Bandara. Amazing family room with bunk bed and divider, perfect set up for 2 2. Wonderful hotel, multiple pools, lovely clean beach with walking access to the amazing night market. We would definitely stay again!!
Very good👍
This place is a must. Fantastic hotel, superb swimming pools, beach bars, restaurant. A quick walk in to Fisherman’s Village, perfect location for all and of course a wonderful beach front. I highly recommend this hotel and I have stayed in some of the best worldwide, this should be a 5* it’s the best around that’s for sure at a great price. This place will not disappoint.
Good honest hotel, great pool and beach access with sun lounges. My first night my room was right on the street and it was quite noisy, I filled in the Expedia review saying checkin was good but room was noisy, and they called me the next morning and I switched rooms. Staff were great, amazing breakfast buffet… more than everything you could want!
Visited Koh Ssmui with family and my 9 year old girl. We had a bunk bed and queen size room which is very spacious, much larger than most hotel rooms. Can essily fit 5 people comfortably. Two showers make a difference too. Love the amenities and accessibility to the beach and the Fisherman's Wharf night market. Short ride to changwen and cheongmon beach for a chilllaxing days too. Highly recommended!
Beautiful beach super close to the fisheman's market. Fantastic staff. Unreal beach bar and restaurant
Absolutely loved our stay in the pool plunge villa. It was an exquisite experience like we’ve never had before.
Nice hotel. Right on the beach
A great place to chill on the beach
Class incarnation
Great resort
Exceptional views rt on beach breakfast was amazing rooms comfortable close to Fishermans village
Very nice and beautiful resort. Pools and private beach. The room was big and comfortable, breakfast was tasty and with a lot of variety of dishes. Located near the Main Street and 5 min walk from fisherman’s market. I have only one notice for improvement and it’s the cleanliness of the room-needs to be more good, and sheets need to be replaced at least one in a few days (we have been in the hotel for 6 days). The furniture needs some updating as well
There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like except for leaving the wonderful staff and resort! They made us feel like family and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Absolutely everyone went above and beyond. Our best experience EVER! Thank you everyone at Bandara!!!
This hotel is amazing! Very quiet, although there are families with children (so do we) it was peacfull The breakfast at the sea view... I will miss it. Love the gardens, also the room was very cleane. The kids club was well equipped for children's. I hope we will come againe.
Great resort
Exceeded expectations
Amazing stay, great breakfast. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice strip of lush restaurants and a market on their doorstep and a 10min drive/ride to Chaweng.
I enjoyed a very relaxing stay at Bandara. The resort had all the amenities and lacked for nothing. Breakfast at the water’s edge every morning was a treat, as was the fire show during one of their dinners. And sunset coupled with happy hour at the bar is a great way to while away the hours. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. I must give a special mention to their guest relations manager Kitty. He inquired daily into how my stay was going and whenever I needed his help (a late check out) he was quick to sort. People like Kitty who go the extra mile to help make the stay that more exceptional. I can’t wait to return.
Bandara resort was excellent in all respects
Great accomodation and facilities, however, the food served was very average.
We loved our room with the beautiful pool and would recommend it highly to others. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the Manager. Thank you!
Too many young children
Great pools, plenty of sun beds, superb breakfast. Staff extremely polite and welcoming. Noise from adjoining accommodation noisy due to sliding doors. A sweeping brush would have been useful to allow seeping up of tree litter outside plunge pool area. A great place to stay.
Excellent resort
Absolutely amazing- Tired to find a fault in this resort and came up with nothing!!! From arriving and being greeted with fresh mango juice to the AMAZING pools, clean beach, friendly and happy staff to spacious and very well kept and clean rooms made our stay the best on our Thailand Vacation. The location was perfect within walking distance to Fisherman Village with tons of restaurants, bars and shopping. Would definitely recommend!!!
Nice resort but overpriced.
Hotel was much better than we expected! Room was spacious and had a pool view. It was spotlessly clean. We loved the beach and the adults pool and the music playing at just the right level. The happy hour cocktails were delicious, especially the passion fruit daiquiri. Some fab local restaurants nearby and enjoyed drinks at coco tams on the beach. The only criticism would be the breakfast. The food wasn't very well covered and the room was hot so the flies were a bit off putting, especially on the fruit. The juices were also too sweet and artificial - Thailand has such lovely fruit, a juice station would go down well!

Definitely the best property we stayed in at Koh Samui! We’ve stayed in 3 properties and this was by far the best one! Originally it should have been 3 nights but we ended up with 8 nights ;-) We stayed in one of the plunge villas (2 adults 1.5 y old baby) - it was the best as you can enjoy all services of the hotel but you have your privacy. Small pool & garden were great for our baby - very convinient! Villa was spaceous, everything working well, cleaned every day. We tried several times also room service (food from restaurant) - fresh, tasty, did not take too long. Breakfast - great start into the day with eating well and enjoying the view at the sea! Variety of food was very good - the kid’s corner was very nice as well, our baby liked the food, too! Property area - entrance and reception are at the main road but family rooms and villas are behind it, so it’s not noisy (our villa was very quiet). Pools - big one in the middle of the property area, 2 (adults only) at the beach. We didn’t try pools as we were either in our small villa pool or at the sea. We went to the beach in the morning and always found a spot there. Also the sand bags to lay down and relax were nice! Our baby definitely loved the kids club - very spacious and full of different toys! Staff was always very friendly - you see they like their job and try their best! If we ever go to Koh Samui again, we definitely book this hotel again!!!
Not 4 star
The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. However, on arrival we asked to change our room overlooking the swimming pool as it was very tired and in need of decorating. The furnishings were pleasant and in good condition but the paint work was chipped and marked. We were told all similar rooms were of the same standard so we stayed where we were. We could have up graded to one of the bungalows but didn't want to give up a beautiful view from the balcony. The housekeeping of the room however was poor. It wasn't cleaned most days before late afternoon and the balcony was never swept or washed the ten days we were there. Actually this was also true of the corridors and stairs where a dead lizard lay for the last five days and is probably still there! The towels were also often very poor being old and thin and occasionally in holes. This was very disappointing for supposedly a four star hotel. This was our 4th destination on this trip to Thailand (we've been before) and it didn't compare with the other four star hotels we stayed in.
Lovely hotel along main road and beach front. Staff excellent! Our room was at front of Hotel and very noisy from traffic on main road. Would suggest room door sealed more to maybe cut out some of noise. Separate toilet and shower area with sliding opaque glass doors with two sinks I liked but insufficient privacy as open planned to room. Ok for “couple” but not two friends sharing.
We were checked in by Nutty and she was so helpful and wonderful and personally made sure we had everything we needed. We got an upgraded room which was incredible too. We loved our stay at Bandara Resort. Thank you
Great Location and very welcoming staff.
Gode hovedpuder men hård seng.
Bad timing perhaps but series of mishaps
I stayed over the holiday period and felt that the hotel may have overbooked and not been able to handle the demand. Breakfast was chaotic particularly at the egg station, waited close to 20mins and ended up having to wait directly in front as they kept skipping my order. The hotel is situated on a super busy road that you will need help to cross which isn’t ideal if you want to get out and explore and not use taxis/transport all the time. There was a power cut over night and the generator was quite loud. They also had a special holiday event which they never mentioned on check in which meant the restaurant was closed to any type of room service. Meant I ended up going out for drinks on an empty stomach which wasn’t ideal, I would have planned dinner outside if I’d known it wasn’t going to be available. Finally my room wasn’t cleaned throughout my stay so water/towels etc weren’t replenished. One positive is the room was actually nice but I think for the price paid which was far more expensive than better equipped hotels the negatives outweigh the positives in my opinion.
Just enough people, not to crowded. Great pools, very kid friendly, excellent breakfast.
The Manager and all his staff were excellent. They were helpful, caring, knowledgeable and just all around good people. Even though it rained almost everyday, we had an excellent experience. Except the bartender could put a little more wine in the wine glasses
Wonderful staff at Banjara
Though it was during a new wave of Covid, the staff accommodated us well. We had our anniversary and were blessed with a special dinner and planted a love tree on their property. We want to come back when more things are open.
Excellent stay
Our family of 4 had an excellent stay here. Clean tidy well appointed rooms. Great pools, bar, restaurant at very reasonable prices. Excellent location on beach
Could not have found a better place for a holiday. Beach, pools, easy access to the Fishermans Market
A beautiful property with wonderful, helpful staff. Great beach and pools, and excellent food, with tons of choice on the menus and at the buffets. Rooms are attractive and comfortable, and the whole property is beautifully landscaped. The resort is also a short walk along the beach to Fisherman's Village, where you can find a huge variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. We had an awesome stay at Bandara Resort and wouldn't hesitate to return!
Great Hotel
Best hotel I have stayed in and I travel around the world - we just loved it and will be back for longer next time!!!
Beach was very good. Not good to get sun beds. Noisy round pool with music to loud. Room ceiling paint was peeling. Had to upgrade to get quieter room and that required maintenance work for perfect presentation to be honest.
Perfect! We’d definitely stay again!
Amazing! Good location (ie. walking distance to Fisherman Village). Very well kept gardens, ponds and mini river within the hotel and great swimming pools. Superb staff and the room we stayed with private pool was very good too. Highly recommended!
Great breakfast close to small restaurants and night market
Great place. Rooms over look pool. Gardens. Nice balcony. Lovely lobby.
Great property and affordable. Appreciate the focus on being eco-friendly. The room was comfortable and had many amenities except for an iron and ironing board in the room. However, the hotel was able to provide with a quick phone call to the front desk. The beach and pools were clean, but smoking by other guests was an issue at the beach. We also appreciate the beach bar being open late. It’s far from the rooms so noise is not an issue. The food was good and had a decent vegetarian selection. They were able to make menu items vegetarian if not listed.
Highly recommend this wonderful resort
Highly recommend this beautiful resort to all families and couples. The staff are so welcoming and a big thanks to Lance and his team for being extremely helpful at all times. We stayed at the family room and at the Tropical Deluxe room and both were wonderful. I particularly liked the Tropical room because of the finish touches. The family room is well suited for large families as it’s 2 bedrooms and 2 showers and has a king size bed, a double bed and a single bed. It felt too big for us. For smaller families the Tropical Deluxe room is sufficient. The breakfast is good with lots of choices. The only thing I would say is that it’s very spread out and better to get in early for the breakfast. The hotel has a free kids club where you can leave your children under staff’s supervision. There’s lots of activities like face painting, nails and mocktails for kids. Some of them include a small fee of 300 baht of its under lunch hour. My partner also joined the Muy Thai classes that were reasonably priced at 500 baht. My recommendations to anyone staying here is to book the Tropical Deluxe room. As some of the other comments mentioned, there are mosquitos as it’s a big resort and near the beach. We bought Avon Skin So Soft for our trip which worked perfect. Because the family room is located on the ground floor, it would be advisable to plug in an insect repellent for 1-2hrs before bed. The location of this hotel is superb and the private beach is excellent.
We loved being on the ground floor, easy access to the pool and beach.
Great location, lots of activities to be involved with-if that’s what you want, most staff were so helpful and would go out of their way to please, great pools and lovely food. Easy walking distance to Fisherman’s Village.
Excellent location. A quiet beach location for chilled days but only a short stroll to the Fisherman's Village night market for outstanding street food/live entertainment.
Beautiful resort 10 min walk to Fishermans Village
Beautiful resort with large swimming pool and lovely large grounds. Scrumptious buffet breakfast in their restaurant on the beach. Large bedroom with balcony view over the swimming pool and very comfy bed. Most friendly staff. I had a lovely quiet stay and with heavily discounted rates for Off Season it was a real treat. Just a 10 min walk to Fisherman’s Villlage it is so very convenient to the markets.
Perfect
From the moment we arrive until the moment we left, we were treated so well. Breakfast was great. So many choices. We ate in the hotel one night which was very nice. Short walk to fisherman’s village and the night marked. Loads of restaurants and bars. Overall a great stay
Good location, clean and quite...... Love with night market on the beach that hotel hotel provides every Tuesday and Saturday.
The resort was beautiful right on the beach. We loved the pool villa. One thing that was unpleasant was having smokers next to non smokers.
Beautiful, Nice amenities, Excellent staff. grounds are well maintained, breakfast was fantastic, Will definitely stay again. Lawrence was extremely friendly and vey informative.
Nice hotel. Good breakfast. Good location.
Nice hotel. I think a little expensive for what it is though but then again everything in Koh Samui is. Room was very nice. Clean, modern and comfortable. Air con was good and they let you keep it on even when you went out so you came back to a cool room. Breakfast was vast and very good. Choice was varied but got a bit repetitive by day 5. Breakfast is in the restaurant on the beach, a beautiful way to start the day. Pools were nice but didn’t spend much time in them. Location is quite good . 5 minute walk to Fisherman’s Village. A couple of negatives. The finish on things like the shower fittings and tiling is shoddy but that’s always the case when you look close enough. The grouting needs a thorough clean or regrout as they are all yellowed. The seafood buffet they do on a Friday night (I think) is very poor for 1100 bhat. And the big one, the beach. It looks lovely and is kept well but the sand is so coarse it’s painful to walk on. Not the hotels fault of course but had I known this, I would not have picked We also went in October. When they say it’s the rainy season, they mean it! It poured with rain the whole time. Avoid this time of year.
Overal very nice hotel and staff Nice pool, Bar, Beach area and facilities. We enjoyed the quite and the fact that there are many pools and place never fills crowded Are is quite near Fosherman market. Shower in the rooms does not always works perfect.
Loved the gardens and the relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very attentive
I liked the ambience of the place, the pools were warm and the whole place was clean. Room was nice too. Could do with a cross trainer in the Gym. The prices were more expensive than some of the other hotels around so consequently we didn't use it for anything other than breakfast. Lots of people did though and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great value for money. Plenty of space, excellent breakfast, 15 minute walk to Fisherman's Village. This is a family resort and there are a lot of children everywhere. If you have a family or if you are a vacationing couple who is tolerant of children, this is a very nice environment. Our only criticism would be that the gym is too small for the size of the resort. Better to knock out the library and barber shop and expand the gym.
Beautiful family resort right on the beach. Wonderful facilities, pools, restaurant on the beach. Family room idea for our stay.
Completely relaxing break
Enjoyed the private plunge pool and outdoor. Breakfast was consistently good. Efficient collection and drop-off at airport. ood choice of pools
Excellent place! We didn’t want to leave. From the check-in when they did welcome us with a nice drink till the end - everything was at high standards. We loved the food in the restaurant and how friendly the staff was - the breakfast as well - good variety of choices. I highly recommend it and would come back. Very quiet resort and good for families.
I loved the beach front area of the resort. The whole hotel had a relaxing vibe
Great rooms and very friendly and helpful staff, pool areas are great and it is right on the beach.
Good location on a quiet beach. Perfect for a romantic getaway or family holiday alike. Within 10 mins walk of Fisherman's Wharf.
specious room, beachfront hotel, nice and friendly staff
Well catered for families Some parts needing repair Thought drinks and evening activities were overpriced
The location was great - close walk along beach to Fisherman’s village. The hotel itself was nice, not too big so easy to navigate to the pools and restaurant. There were a lot of families with young children so often the pool area can be very noisy and a lot of children splashing in the pool. As a young couple without children it would have been nice to have an adults only pool or area to relax in. The staff didn’t overaccomodate at all and often tried to sell food and drink whilst you’re relaxing by beach or pool. I didn’t like that. There are also strict signs to not bring in outside food or drink. As a vegetarian the menu was limited. Having a version of the night market in their private beach area was a nice touch but in someway over commercializes the concept and takes away the authenticity of street food and actual market vendors. Overall a pleasant stay but would have preferred somewhere a bit more quiet & less pushy on selling.

Bandara Hotel
The room is big and clean. The hotel do not supply tooth brush. The staff are all very friendly… The location is just 8 minutes to the Fisherman Village where you can find plenty of good food and massage.
