Fantastic

We were a happily surprised by our stay as the property is much better in person than in the photos. The owner, Stavros, is an incredible host and takes great pride in providing the best experience possible in every way. The common space is a huge, shaded patio with gorgeous plants and comfortable seating overlooking the charming port town. Location is fantastic and a short walk to many restaurants, etc. The bed was super comfortable (unlike so many we’ve experienced in Greece). We loved the island and would definitely return to Ballas!

Fantastic Accommodation

Fantastic accommodation with great views over the bay and Ithaca. Made exceptional by the host. Stavros goes out of his way to make your stay special. No surprise to find that people return year after year

Ballas is beautiful - a lovely stay

I loved staying at Ballas Apartments. The property itself is run by Stavros whos a pretty cool dude. The property overlooks the sea and has an amazing outdoor space you can just chill on a variety of lounges etc and just look at the amazing view. There is also access to the water for a quick dip. The room was spacious and included a small kitchen which was very handy. the bathroom was newly renovated and adequate. Stavros was also so kind in having my earbuds i had left there sent to me in Lassi via a friend of his who is a taxi driver. Free. So that was amazing. Please visit these smaller places rather than the larger conglomerates.. Agia Efimia is so beautiful too. Im glad I decided to stay here instead of Sami.

Perfect

Wonderful place to stay. Lovely terrace garden overlooking the sea and the village. Stavros is very welcoming and helpful. Housekeeping and cleanliness was exeptional.

Lovely place to stay

Such a lovely stay, Stavros is an amazing host, so friendly and helpful, he even let us borrow a beach umbrella! Gave us lots of advice regarding beaches and attractions and he was always welcoming and kind. The rooms are clean and well furnished. We slept comfortably. The location is excellent, Agia Efymia is a little village, very relaxing, ideal if you have a car so you can explore the island.

Very friendly welcome, great view from sea view rooms

Stayed briefly prior to a sailing holiday . Welcoming host who took time and trouble to make sure all was ok. Clean apartment with adequate facilities, including fridge, cooker and hairdryer. Stunning location and views directly to the sea. Relaxing gardens with lots of different areas to sit amongst lovely flowers and trees. Definitely recommend!!

Great views

Beautiful patio area overlooking sea with access to sea down steps, loads of parking space in olive grove at side of property. Friendly and helpful owner stafros.

This property is very nice and well located. Our studio was clean and comfortable. The owner was super nice and friendly, always willing to help. The view from the patio is absolutely amazing, it looks like a postcard. I would recomment this accommodation to anyone visiting Kefalonia.

We had the ground floor apartment at the front of the property. It was a great room with the use of the patio area overlooking the harbour, magical !

Great view from the balcony overlooking the harbour, the location is great being within 10 minutes drive of Sami, Myrtos and only a little further to Assos. Stavros was also friendly and helpful. 10/10 will definitely be staying again

This was our first holiday to kefalonia, amazing island. But also amazing stay at Ballas apartment. Had a fantastic view over looking the lovely harbour of Agia efmia Stavros the owner was the best, friendly always there to help if needed. Will definitely return 10 out 10 stavros.

The apartments was exactly how we imagined, i.e. wonderful view, clean, well equipped etc. My only comment is that Stavros went a bit over the top in my opinion in repeatedly asking us "is everything ok, is everything perfect?". Possibly he genuinely was concerned that we were enjoying ourselves, but it felt to us that he was just worried in case he didn't get a perfect rating/review, and we felt uncomfortable. Sorry if we came to the wrong conclusion, but this is how we felt. Also, it's not a good idea to explain a simple concept to my partner four times, and each time ask him if he understands (even if "do you understand?" was just a turn of phrase). However, Stavros was much more friendly and natural on check-out, so possibly I misjudged him. I only mention all this so he can see things from the customer's perspective. We very much appreciated everything else, such as the cleanliness of the apartment, the free wine/cake etc, and the printing off of our boarding passes. If I leave any other reviews they will of course be glowing.

Fantastic Location

Great position close to beach and town. Stavros great host. Rooms very adequate and the beds fantastically comfortable. All in all we had a fantastic week staying there

Most beautiful view and property!!!

The host greated us and was very friendly. Our view was outstanding and we cant wait to go back and stay longer. We video chatted with all our friends and they were blown away by all the beauty of the property. Staff was extremely nice and helpful

Excellent Hotel, Would Recommend

My girlfriend and I stayed at Ballas for a week in mid May. Excellent location looking across the harbour at all the restaurants & tavernas (I think a better view than staying in town personally). A 5 minute walk around the harbour to shops, tavernas and boat/car hire. The host is amazing and helped us out a number of times booking taxis and recommending activities for a day. Would definitely recommend.

Traditional with extras!

As Stavros says' guests are happy when they arrive so keeping them happy throughout their stay is easy! Wine and cakes awaited us when we were shown to room 9. The view from the balcony was amazing. Rooms 7 and 8 also have the same views. Complimentary hot drinks were stocked up every morning as was shower gel, shampoo and toilet rolls. Tea towel, washing up liquid, scourer and other little extras were also provided. The double bed was the best we have slept in in Greece. Any queries or requests Stavros will sort it. Watching the sunrise over Ithaca from our room at 6.30-700am in the morning was breathtaking and I have pictures that I,ll cherish forever.Stavros also offered to do any washing we required,even our two case fulls but we only gave him our beach towels. The apartments have beautiful gardens with plenty of seating. There is a lovely little cove for sunbathing and swimming about 100metres up from the apartments down a road next to the cemetery. The main harbour area is only a 5-10 minute stroll away down a gently sloping road. There is also a wall mounted TV in the room with a few English channels including BBC news. If you like a small, friendly, relaxing, comfortable place to stay, don't hesitate book it!!!
