Bahiacafe hotel a beautiful boutique hotel is a hidden gem in pelourinho center and is safe place due to alot of police presence,is close to everything restaurants, shopping, entertainment and night life. I will recommend this hotel.
Wonderful staff
True Excellence
Excellent -5 stars. The staff were amazing especially Kercia. Her demeanor, professionalism and helpfulness made this stay amazing. If you are staying in Salvador, you must stay here.
It’s a perfect boutique hotel at the edge of Peroulinho. The staff was very friendly and ready to help. A nice breakfast with lots of choices in the morning and a cute bar in the lobby. It’s a bit uncomfortable walking late at night but totally walkable throughout the day. There is a noise from bars and other businesses around. Close to restaurants, museums, and attractions and easy to get around in Uber.
The hotel was really nice and is central to the location. During the day it’s ok to walk around but one needs to be careful of the surroundings but the old town is a fun place to go around. At night it’s not a good idea to walk just take Uber. The staff was super friendly and it’s a great place to stay to explore Salvador
Friendly and helpful staff. Central location with a bit of noise, but charming hotel and nice breakfast
Beautiful views from breakfast area! Great breakfast!
The staff was exceptional, extremely friendly, nice and so attentive! The rooms were very nice, spacious and kept very clean. I would highly reccomend and will definitely be back!
Nice hotel
Very well located in the centre. Basic but clean. Staff super friendly.
Safe, quiet, clean, unique. Superb client service. Exceptional and helpful multilingual front desk personnel. Great breakfast and super comfy pillows. Will stay there again. Thanks!!!
Beautiful historic hotel in the middle of everything I wanted to see and do in Pelourinho. Excellent shopping was just a short cab ride away. Would definitely stay there again. Very clean and the staff was amazing.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Happy they spoke English.
Bahiacafe is ideally located at the entrance to the historic sector of Salvador, and at affordable taxi rides from beaches etc. Warm and friendly staff assist with organising excursions. Interesting breakfast buffet but no other in house dining, ( but why bother with so many alternatives within walking distance?). The Caipirinha cocktails in the evening were great. Overall, a nice alternative-but-modern vibe at reasonable prices.
Decent location
This was the smallest room I've ever stayed in and also the most expensive, during my visits to Brazil. There were ants in the room and walking into the room it smelled like piss. Not sure if the smell was coming from the alley or if it was actually the room. No closet space or iron. They had one tea cup with a few packs of tea, but no machine to make the tea. Not a bad location. I stayed for 2 nights and it cost me $221. I have stated beachfront hotels with a saview for less than $70 a night. The only view I saw out of my window is a rooftop. Wouldn't stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend to anyone to stay here.
Great location and value.
Bahiacafe is in a great location to the historic center. Bonus - enjoy the breakfast looking over an active square to start the day. The team was very helpful with recommendations and advice on travel to other local beach areas.
Great service and hotel. Amazing place with great breakfast and location. Will come back
The staff were very attentative to our needs at all times. Joao, the front desk manager, was outstanding. The room was a good size, but lacks drawers or closets. The location is great, but to get to the beaches it takes at least 15min drive. You can't walk there from the hotel. The nearby neighboorhood is danger after dawn, so it is not recommended to walk alone in certain areas near to the hotel.
This place was amazing. In the heart of the historic district. It was very traveler friendly having provided many things to do in the area, food to eat, a very hospitable staff and owner. I loved the decor of the hotel and the comfort of my room!
Great hotel with lovely staff and breakfast
I loved every minute of being at this beautiful and electic hotel. The staff were all nice friendly and inviting and the room was immaculate with everything that was needed. I'm sure they have the hottest showers in Bahia!!! If I go back to Pelourinho, I will definitely stay again!!
Needs upgrade in bathroom
A well restored and maintained 300 year old building that was converted to a hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Centrally located in Pelourinho Bahiacafe was a great base to tour the city from. The room was perfect for 3 people, it was clean, and the breakfast was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone that is adventurous and likes quant hotels. We felt safe day and night but never let our guard down.
Well situated, clean, friendly staff, excellent breakfast
Great location in the center of the old town with walkable attractions within minutes.
Everything was just perfect! Tudo foi perfeito! The staff was super nice and very helpful, the hotel is well located, the area is safe, the hotel is really cute! The breakfast is delicious! I loved the Candomblé tour they offer as well, I recommend it. I will come back to this hotel! A equipe foi super legal! Gostei do local no coração do Pelourinho, fica seguro. Gostei do quarto, o hotel é muito charmoso. A café de manhã é uma delícia. Fiz o a cerimônia de candomblé que eles oferecem e super recomendo. Eu voltaria com muito prazer!
Great stay in Salvador. This hotel was clean, had excellent wifi and breakfast and very nice reception. Just make sure to not bring a rental car, it's a nightmare to drive in Salvador and in the Colonia city. It cost 100000 R for 2 nights, and a migraine.
From the outside and inside I felt like I was in a 300 year old building with modern amenities. The staff was incredible, as was the breakfast. Even their hand picked drivers were amazing, knowledgeable and friendly. This was a lot better than our modern beachfront place
Charming ambiance, super location. Staff was very helpful. No elevator, but staff quickly hauled our luggage up to our 2nd floor. room.
Best place in Salvador de Bahia
The hotel is perfect for a trip in Salvador de Bahia. The owner and the staff (from the front desk to the kitchen) are lovely and so helpful. The room are beautiful, big and very quiet even if we are directly located on the Praça de Se. Walking distance from everything you want to visit in Salvador de Bahia. I highly recommend this place.
Diamond in the rough
I was a little nervous when I got dropped off at the hotel. The surrounding area is kind of rough, and the outside of the hotel didn't look like much. I was very happy to see how nice the inside was. It is extremely charming. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bed was good, but a little firm for my liking. The staff were amazing. They spoke English and were able to help me purchase my boat ticket to Morro de Sao Paulo. I would not recommend going out after dark. There was a lot of screaming and yelling on the streets, and sounded like a pack of wild dogs were running around. Would highly recommend this hotel!
Beautiful old colonial building. Comfy bed, nice shower. Great location.
Great for those wanting a safe well staffed place to stay in the historic quarter of Pelourhino. This place is an 3 story colonial building on the Zimbi Square. It"s clean and furnished with Afro-Brazilian art. Has A/C. Good selection of options for breakfast. Good fresh and hot coffee.
Some additional
concierge staff were very nice and helpful. The place was clean. Nice breakfast place on the 1st floor. Bar needs to improved a lot though.
Uniquely drcorated with the art reflecting the culture of Bahia. Staff were very helpful including english speakers behind reception desk, cooks and the cleaners.
Excellent location
Excellent location. Spacious room. Aware have a lot of stairs no elevator Needs better safety box
Nice place , but is not safe to walk around night time !!
Salvador Bahia, trip
Great location, nice cozy hotel, Different style. Excellent to visit Pelourinho
great location !
Great breakfast .
The interior design, lovely colors and its near the most importants buildings in SSA
Great stay! Wonderful clean and breakfast
Friendly staff, nice and clean room, good location
Friendly, polite and helpful staff! Great location here in Salvador. Right i''m the heart of Pelourhino
Terrific hotel
This was the best hotel I stayed in during my time in Brazil. Very clean; in a unique location; and the staff was terrific. Truly a hidden gem!
Bahiacafe is excellent value for money and centrally located. We received a really friendly welcome and help with our heavy cases up to our second floor room which was spacious, clean, quiet, with tea/coffee, tv, fridge, shower, hairdryer, toiletries and air conditioning (although not particularly powerful). An added bonus is the hotel is full of character.
Found the room comfortable, staff helpful and enjoyed the breakfast. There were a number of police officers in the local area most of the time to reassure visitors of their safety.
Very comfortable and perfect for my needs. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast too.
Nice hotel in very comfortable place , nice team and good service
Strange overnight guest policy
The facility itself and the staff are great. But the hotel has an absurd policy for no overnight guest. I checked in in the afternoon and went to meet a friend for drinks, one thing led to another we decided to go back to the hotel. Upon entry the night manger became quite suspicious of us, and we got the impression my friend was suspected to be a working girl (she is not, she is a long time friend of mine). Then at midnight we were waken up by a call telling us that she could not stay for the night because I had not registered her when checking-in. As a hotel this is an absurd policy. I do want to point out that the night manager has been professional and courteous, and was trying his best to balance between carrying out his duty and resolving the situation. What put us all in this awkward circumstance was this overly zealous security procedure. Would not stay here again solely because of this policy. Also hot water takes a long time to come out from the shower.
An oasis of calm in a busy city
We had a great time at this hotel, from the friendly check-in to the amazing breakfast with a great view over the square. As a couple in our 60s we felt very comfortable here as there were a range of adult guests of all ages. The rooms are clean and the bed was extremley comfortable. We definitely recommend this hotel.
A fascinating remodel of a 300-year-old building. THE go-to hotel in Salvador's historic district!
In the heart of the old city.
Well looked after, with friendly staff. A nice haven away from the hustle and bustle of the street life outside. Beautiful breakfasts that set you up for the day. Walking distance to all the attractions in the old city.
Amazing Staff
Wonderful hotel with bags of character and the friendliest staff I have ever come across. Rooms are comfortable and of decent size. The hotel is in a great location in the old town and was conveniently close to the ferry terminal for our onward trip to Morro de São Paulo.
Excellent location, amazing decorations and a perfect host, thank you Marcus.
Great staff
The staff were excellent , friendly, and helpful. We also appreciated the extra effort to provide us with an early breakfast when we had an early departure.
The staff is very nice!! The location is good, close to many tourist atractions. We had massages which were relaxing.
great location, fantastic service
Fantastic
Pretty place
Really helpful, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast assortment & a really pretty place.
Nice staff and good location in historical center
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable and hippy decor. Very good location in the old town. Can get to most of the places easily on foot or by Uber if going further out. The only thing that needs improvement is breakfast presentation especially for the cut fruits with no cover and flies hovering over them which was quite disgusting. The tours provided by the hotel is just ok. The guide we had didn’t speak good English so we struggled a bit.
Nice hotel in the centre.
Good breakfast. Close to the main plaza just around the block. The queen / king bed is just two beds pushed together which for a couple in difficult as you need to roll over a small hill they put in between the two beds to join them. So not that comfy if you want to be together. On the other hand quality of the linon etc was very nice and something noticed.
The location is awesome and the hotel fits right in the historical center and Pelourinho neighborhood
Will be staying here again on next visit!!
The hotel is in the perfect location to explore Salvador. The staff was amazing and very helpful- a bonus is that all the employees at reception speak English. The bed is very comfortable and the tv channels offered many languages. Wifi worked great. I will be staying here again on my next visit !!
Perfect place to stay in Pelo!!!!
We loved our stay at the Bahia Cafe Hotel!!! They took care of us from start to finish. All staff spoke English so we were able to get ideas for places to visit and eat. The detail put into the design to the inside of the building is amazing!!! They decorated with such a special and historical mind frame. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options and the view of the square from the breakfast area was a wonderful way to wake up each day. Jorge's Mango Caipirinhas and conversations at the small bar were wonderful. It was easy to take Uber's anywhere outside the Pelo: beaches, other neighborhoods, even Praia de Forte from this hotel location. As soon as you walk out the door you are near the Elevator to the Mercado and near all the busy squares. I will recommend this place to everyone when they visit Salvador. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Lots of memories were made here.
Nice hotel in the Pelaurinho.
The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring the Pelaurinho. The staff was very helpful and nice, and spoke english very well. The rooms were clean and cute. There is also a little bar and a cafe, and the breakfast room overlooking the square. Can fully recommend it.
Good location and breakfast but that's about it.
Our room and the entire first floor where we stayed smelled like pee. There was no air conditioning in common areas and therefore was extremely hot. The bed mattresses were hard and very uncomfortable. The staircase to rooms was steep and unsafe. Internet was also slow. The ONLY good thing about this hotel was location and breakfast.
Perfect stay
very nice design, friendly and helpful staff, location couldn't be more central
Awesome hotel
This place was really in a perfect location in the Pelorihno. All sites were within walking distance. The rooms were updated and in very good condition. There is a nice small bar downstairs that makes nice Caiprihnas. The even better aspects of this hotel were the staff and how helpful/friendly they were and the outstanding breakfasts. All around this hotel exceeded all possible expectations! Highly recommended.
would surely come here again
We came just to stay fot a night or two but we got sick and had to stay another two days. the hotel staff are amazingly nice and have very good english, they were very helpfull and very polite. A good example for that was when we were sick and could not find any simple food (e.g. bread). The hotel stuff gave us bread and suggested to help us with any medical needs we have. The hotel itself is very pretty. The breakfest is nice (the have juices, jams, eggs, fruits and more). The wifi works great most of the time and the shower is a bit hard to handle but once you understand how to use it, it's fine. They also have a pool table and a nice room for reading and hanging with friends. TL:DR Very good hotel, great staff with good english
Tropical gem
My friend and I have years of hospitality experience and we were stunned and delighted how the owner thoughtfully and generously resolved a glitch in our reservation.the room was thoughtfully appointed and the hotel was spotless. The breakfast was delicious and well curated. Yuri, Jorge and Wallace always greeted us warmly and made out stay complete.
jamaals review
Great stay. Great people there and around the hotel. Old and historic place.
Centre of the action
Fantastic location and charming boutique hotel - good breakfast too
Nice hotel
BahiaCafe is great for its easy access to the historical area and museums. Staff were really helpful especially George in the bar who makes great Ciprihanas cocktails. Not luxurious but clean and comfortable in a lovely rustic way.
In the heart of things
Staff was very nice and accommodating. Front desk had English speakers which was extremely helpful to us
great choice in Salvador
I chose this hotel partly for its cental location but also because of its great reviews. I agree: extremely helpful staff who also spole fluent English and Spanish, delicious breakfast in a pleasant room that overlooks the plaza, unique hotel with cozy bar and lounge. My room was very comfortable
Typical bahian environment
Very good staff, and great location
Great location and beautiful place. The doors/stairs can be loud at night. No blanket provided, needed to ask front desk.
A charming place, with excellent value for money
I stayed at the Bahiacafe while travelling in Brazil with a friend. We booked a room with two single beds and ended up with a spacious room on the third floor with a beautiful view of the Praça de Sè. The beds were comfortable enough and the shower/bath room was nice and clean. Throughout the hotel, the decor is very charming. The location is also convenient to the tourist attractions but it is worth pointing out that the neighbourhood is a bit dodgy (not the fault of the hotel, this is just the nature of the old part of Salvador). That said, the hotel is very secure, with a gated front door that is always locked and secure locks on the room doors. The staff all spoke English (which in our experience is not a given in Brazil) and were informative and friendly. They helped us book excursions and airport transport. We loved the breakfast--juice made from exotic (to us) fruits, bread, cheese and ham, yogurt, cereal and fresh fruit as well as hot breakfast items and several cakes. On the whole, the hotel was a high point in our stay in Salvador
Boutique hotel in central location
The hotel is indeed as cute inside and out as most reviews suggest. But at least in my case the room was quite noisy. Not due to the central location (in fact quite deserted at night) but due to some exhaust fan running nearly the whole night in the small courtyard/vent where the room "window" was leading. So your experience might vary depending on the room you get. On the plus side the breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.
A Very Good Choice
Bahiacafe Hotel strikes a good balance between comfort, location, service and value. It is conveniently located in the heart of Pelourinho, just off Terreirio de Jesus, which means you're only moments from some of the most important sites in the city. Terreiro de Jesus captures the pulse of the area and thus is never short of all manner of activity. Several notable restaurants and bars also rim the square or are just within close proximity on the side streets that branch off it. The service is quite good. I found the folks at the front desk to be very helpful and attentive. Breakfast universally seems to get high marks and I would concur that it is a nice spread offering a fair amount of variety.
Comfortable and cozy in the Historical Center.
Stayed only one night and it was comfortable. Decor of interiors are very nice. The only problem is there is no elevator. It can be a problem if your room is on the third floor which in this case my was on the third floor. Receptionist very helpful giving me tips about the neighborhood.
A charming hotel in the heart of old Salvador
The highlight of our stay was the service we got. The staff were very nice, exceedingly helpful and spoke good English (which isn't really that frequent in Brazil). The hotel itself is fabulous. A heritage building with a very authentic feel to everything - yet rooms are decently appointed and up-to-date. Keep in mind that rooms are indeed smallish - I suppose this is how they built things few hundred years ago... Still, overall experience was great.
Centre Salvador Hotel
A very pleasant surprise on entering the hotel with very cheerful staff. The building was deceptive in appearances, looked small but in fact was large with little corridors and staircases, offers a sauna, hot tub, and massages, I had a very good relaxing massage, I would recommend this hotel for its location, friendly staff and the "quirkiness" of the place.
Great potential, but needs work.
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff, including a very nice Belgian fellow who went out of his way to procure some choice Belgian beers for us. Excellent location in the Cidade Historico, and lovely interior design. Cons: No Air Conditioning in the lobby/bar area (in fact, the ceiling fan wasn't even working), so it is wretchedly hot and humid inside. Prepare to sweat like a pig if you wish to have a drink at the bar. If you wish to have two, better ask for a towel. As lovely as the rooms are, the bathrooms do not offer any places on which to place toiletries, clothes, or other items (aside from the tiny sink). This can easily be fixed by adding shelves. Lastly, the wifi connection was unreliable. I had a web conference call during my stay which was cut short by the weak signal. My boss was not pleased. Conclusion: This is a lovely hotel that has the potential to be really great, but it needs to make significant improvements before it gets there.
Overall great stay, only minor logistical issues
My wife, daughter, and I went to Salvador, Bahia state in order to hang out for 2 days in the city's historic colonial center. In terms of customer service, BahiaCafe gets high ratings from us. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and very helpful with anything we needed. Also very clean and tidy, and the price was right (70 bucks/night is hard to beat for a hotel anywhere in a touristy area of Brazil). The Wifi worked perfectly and signal was strong the whole time. TV was cable - which I don't have at home since I don't usually like the channel selection - but it was cool being able to actually channel surf for the first time in awhile. The breakfast was great - and they had some of the best machine drip coffee I've had in Brazil, which is really saying something. No issues on any of those fronts. The downside is the building structure itself. Built into a colonial-era building, spaces are small, which can be mildly frustrating since space is already tight in the city once you get out the door. And there's no elevator. So if you have a 9-month old kid and are staying on the very top floor... It's hard getting stuff up/down. Happens to lots of people so just something to consider logistically if you don't like walking up lots of stairs to get to/from everything from breakfast to your actual tourism experience.
Great choice in a central location
A great hotel for the money in a central and secure location in the old city. It's well maintained and has a lot of charm if you like it somewhat rustic (I do). There are some bells and whistles missing, like no elevator. Exercise is good for you though. The front office staff is very helpful and they all speak English! My room was spotless and comfortable if a tad smallish and somewhat noisy. If I would return to Salvador, Bahiacafe would easily be my first choice for accommodation
Wonderful place with wonderful staff
The staff were really friendly, excellent English and local knowledge. My brother left his phone behind and the staff ran after us down the street to ensure it was returned, they also handled our inquiries to book a boat to Morro de Sao Paulo. The rooms and the hotel are gorgeous all in an old Portuguese style with amazing windows and beds. The location is great for the old town close to restaurants etc, however we were warned by several people not to go down side streets as it can be dangerous so it's a bit limiting in terms of where you can walk. Overall I loved the hotel and the staff and would definitely go back there if I'm ever in Salvador again.
Great Experience
For those who like a hotel with character. Great location within quick walking distance to Mercado Modelo and also the best of Pelourinho.
Nicely done
Great breakfast. Good decor
Great stay
A lovely hotel with great breakfast and attentive staff close to the main square of town
Perfect in all ways
I disagree with all the adverse comments I read on different Internet sites, and agree with all the good comments. Hotel is spotlessly clean, breakfast offered a good variety of breads and cakes and delicious, ripe fruit. Plus the selection changed a bit each day. Our room was spacious. Street noise did not bother us, not even on Tuesday night when people throng the nearby Terreiro de Jesus. We had a very spacious room on the first floor so stairs were not an issue for us. However, I did see the hotel staff carrying passengers' luggage up the stairs, so no worries there either. The staff were always extremely nice and helpful. Finally, the location is perfect.
I enjoyed my stay immensely and my room was very pleasant, with a beautiful view of the ocean. The breakfasts were spectacular and the staff was always very helpful.
Great location!
Right in the heart of the Pelourinho neighborhood which is the beautiful historic district of the city. For Carnaval, it is in the center of 1 of the 3 major celebrations in Salvador - and our favorite. (about 20 minutes easy walk to Campo Grande and about 40 minutes walk to Barra....) Cute atmosphere in the hotel. Staff was friendly, helpful, (and spoke English!). The only downside was that we couldn't get hot water in the sink/shower. It wasn't freezing...but it wasn't warm. We didn't make a fuss over it since after a hot day and carnaval festivities, the cool shower wasn't all bad. All in all though this was a great spot and they provide a good breakfast which is included.
Great people
The hotel itself is probably 3 star but the people (Mabi (sp?), Daniel, Michael, etc.) are 5 star and know how to make you feel at home. Great location and good price.
The hotel couldn't be in a more central location for the historic centre of Salvador, but this meant it was quite noisy, especially down the side street leading from the square which we were advised not to visit. We loved the hotel itself although our room was a bit cramped. The breakfast room overlooking the square was fabulous. Breakfasts too were varied and plentiful. We enjoyed our stay very much except for the noise well into the night.
In the center of Pelourinho
The hotel is on a public square in Pelouriho. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and able to make recommendations on places to eat a visit. The free breakfast was pretty simple: mostly some breads (no toaster), a wide variety of local fruit and some slices of ham and cheese. There's a small bar just off the hotel lobby that can make alcoholic, fruit drinks or coffee. The streets immediately around the hotel were safe to walk on, but I don't think you'd want to wander too far, especially at night.
Great location but poor room
I stayed in the room for few nights and asked to move to another one because I thought they might have a better one, but I was told that this is the standard room. Pros: 1. Excellent location, 2. The hotel staff courteous and efficient. 3. Interesting renovation of an old building. Cons: 1. No elevator and the stairs are quite steep. 2. No closet in the room. Just two very small shelves, one taken by the minibar products and the other one is 2 meters high. 3. The room door is old (probably original) with two wings, one of which closed with latches so the entry and exit from the room is through a margin of about 35 cm. 4. Very small bathroom, the small shower is half open (everything gets wet when used). 5. The bathroom door (in front of the lavatory seat) is again an old two wing shutter door which is not really closed. 6. The sink is in the room (the bathroom too small!) and has only cold water (little difficult to shave). 7. Breakfast is quite modest (compared to other hotels). 8. Dark linoleum floor drenches your feet if you walk barefoot. 9. The room's window is looking into the shaft of the sewer and water pipes and you cannot open it due to odor and noise. 10. There is no full size mirror in the room (just a small one above the sink).
Cute hotel with no amenities
Hotel Bahia is located in the middle of the city center. It is a cute hotel with a nice staff. If you are looking for a cute hotel, in the middle of everything and do not mind amenities or no elevators, this is your hotel. My kind of hippie son would have love it. My husband and me, both very athletic and me on the hippiest side, did not like it. Internet connection was only available is the lobby, room to small, and having to go upstairs (up and down) all the time was not fun. We stayed one night and moved to a hotel with elevator, fitness center, pool, and good internet. The location was not good but we love hotels that mekes you feel you are in vacation. We both are tall and the room was to tiny. The breakfast was very good and the view from the dining room was nice (in front of a plaza). This can be a great hotel or a lousy one depending of your expectations and taste.
Lovely hotel
Superb hotel. THe breakfast is amazing, especially the cake. Room was perfect and location was great, right in the centre of everything. Service was ok though we found the lady on reception in the mornings quite rude. The man on in the afternoon was lovely though. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel. Lovely place to stay.
McKays
Our stay was great. Michel and Andre offered helpful information and were very pleasant. The breakfast offered a variety of fresh fruits, meats, eggs, breads and specialty cakes of Bahia. The dining area was relaxed and overlooked the square. Great central location to the elevador and historic sites. A little noisy because of local activity in the square yet this praca quiets down in the evening. Nice secure rooms. Clean. Great shower. Internet access easily accessible. We would return to this hotel.
Fantastic
This hotel was fantastic, great location if you want to stay in pelourinho. The hotel has a great feel and definitely amazing value for money.
Charming hotel in the old city.
Terrific interior design utilising Bahian fabrics, weaving and carvings make this a charming place to stay. Right in the heart of Pelourinho, the old city, on Praca da Se (although the plaza itself has seen better days). Acessible to the Lacerda lift and public transport. Good breakfast included, too. Another plus is the multiligual front desk staff.

Great location and breakfast
