Brief getaway

Definitely a bit worn down and needs a bit of love. Can see that they are starting to refurbish the back buildings, which is good to see. Was very expensive for what we got, but needed something as our other hotel cancelled on us last minute so that could’ve reflected the high price? Pictures deffs make it look better than it was though which was upsetting.

It was alright..i was out and about alot but the hill to get there!! I didnt have a scooter or motorbike so i walked up that hills so many times!! Ur lungs feel like exploding half way up it! The room smells from the toilet and the spa was not operational during my time there but they do cone to the room for massages and treatment's. A rooms a room when ur not spending money on luxury so it was ok the pools are cool and pretty but the water fall in the pool can keep u awake because its loud but its a quiet place considering how close it is to town not far from markets and quick grab to bangla road do exchange prices around and close to 7 11 and other grocers

If you are up for being creeped on then this is your place, dont bring your family its for groups of guys running a muck , unpleasant, couldnt sunbake without being stared at. Theres also the giant hill you will either want to conquier on some fitness challenge or it will break u.. the steepness is wild... u have to walk up to get to the hotel... not safe at night, its pretty much next to a hard rubbish tip area & jungle. As for room service, there is none. Byo toilet paper they dont want to give it out daily... the buffet was 2/10 omlette nice only egg option 220 baht but better off walking down the hill and getting a nice breakky for 120 baht, coffee fresh baked toast and omlette... shower was crap, hanging shower head, asian tv only and over run by single males who are obviously there for one thing. Toiletries poor, overall a poor choice, not a resort... id say it could be your last resort and ok.. lol

Great for a long stay

If it was advertised that you had to walk up that hill (we called it cardiac Hill!) we probably would have booked elsewhere. Luckily we stayed for 4 nights then moved to a hotel without the hill trek. All in all good value for money we had a cosy pool room veiw which was a nice clean room and newer than the older looking rooms. Breakfast was the same every day and on the 2md day the coffee machine didn't taste right.... This was not rectified during our stay for some reason. Great swimming pools which our 10 year old liked.

There was no English channels on the tv unfortunately. I have been travelling Vietnam and Thailand for almost 6 weeks without getting bitten by a mosquito. Now I have many. Never seen so many mosquitos in one room. The shower head was broken so it just flooded the bathroom and was useless. I did tell the receptionist but she just laughed and I doubt very much she has done anything about it. The receptionists I’m general could of been more friendlier but this maybe due to the fact the other customers was very loud and rude. The location is on the top of the mountain so it felt like walking up and down almost a vertical hill when you need to go to to the shop. I was tempted to eat in the hotel restaurant but it was too much out of my budget. Also the cats roaming the hotel hallways howling very loudly in the morning would wake me up every morning without fail. There was no plug in the sink and also no hot water coming out of the tape so it was very difficult for me to have a shave.

The tv would either not turn on or would turn its self off after one minute as it would not stay on. There was no Hot Water in the evening or in the morning which was frustrating as I was getting ready for a 13 hour flight. The WiFi would not connect to my phone. The Wind makes the windows rattle and shake which makes a lot of noise which was keeping me awake. The bed was on wheels and kept sliding away from the wall and the pillows would fall down the back. Only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the reception is nicely decorated and it has friendly staff.

On arrival the staff tried to send us to a different hotel, arrived at 7:30 we were told we could check in early however we couldn’t we had to wait til 2. Surprise £100 deposit which we was not told about before arrival. I had already paid for the night before then was told I had to pay for breakfast this time. when we were taken to our room it was not the room I paid for they gave us a twin room instead of the deluxe double I paid for, spoke to receptionist who said our room was occupied and would be ready in a few days, no sorry just ready in a few days. 3 days later we went to our new room which was no different to our standard room just a double bed. I informed the hotel on our first day that there was a dead dog outside their hotel, it was still there 9 days later when we left it started to rot and weren’t great to walk past everyday. when we checked out they tried charging us for a bottle we never broke. also if you don’t want to want to walk up a hill to get to your hotel everyday then do not stay here.

We were put into a new room in the brand new block. A lot of issues with these, there is no sound proofing anytime someone walked by it sounds like someone is hammering, the sink leaked which we requested to be fixed but never was. We were staying as a group but when we went to check in we were unable to get the rooms we booked. They offered to swap rooms the next day to a room up on the 5th floor with no pool access which is what we paid for. All else was good the pool was great. I would not stay here again if I was to return to Patong

Nice & surrounded by nature in quiet part of Phukt

We had an issue (price related) and we spent a good part of our stay arguing about it and contacting hotels.com, it was really frustrating mainly because of the language barrier. The front desk wasn’t very helpful with this manner and what they told us was always different to what the 9 hotels.com agents I contacted told me. At the end they did manage to get a discount but it wasn’t exactly what we were asking for. We were not happy with the solution. Anyhow, the hotel is nice, the outside pools are nice and the rooms are comfortable and big. The room I shared with my sister had an humidity smell and some furniture was a little outdated. The bathroom did not look so clean but maybe because it is already a bit old. If you want to be a bit far away from the night life this hotel is well located. If you are not able to climb hills you might want to take the hotel shuttle to the beach and mall. We did climb the hill as part of our exercise though, but it can get really steep specially for elder people.

This property is very up the hill and can be a struggle to walk up. Hotel is clean and has a welcome character to it. Staff were pleasant and we had welcome drinks on arrival. However, as we were short for time during check out we forgot our headphones and speakers. The genteman that did the room check when handed in the key kindly brought down a ring which was just a fashion ring however he stole our headphones and speakers. We tried to phone the hotel to check the room they said nothing was left in the room but we had picture evidence this items were in the room. They did nothing to re assure us about this items and didnt seem to care. Once we got back to england we tried again they claimed these items wasnt in the room when it was clearly left behind. I wouldnt trust the staff with my belongings if i had to stay there again. Theres no confidence in the staff.

I wouldn’t stay here if you were travelling solo. Good for large groups. Shuttle to Jungcylon or Patong beach and back to the hotel is the highlight. They only provide taxi or minibus for large groups from the hotel to the airport but cannot help you get into a shared minibus for much much less even though those shared shuttles drop off at the hotel. If you want refreshments, you can walk down to the family mart at the bottom of the hill or else pay x3 the price at the restaurant. I personally will not be returning as I had bad reception besides one staff member and was rushed out of my room before check out by them cutting the power to my room.

Location was great for restful quiet stay. Close to everything but far enough away not to hear the hussle and bussle. Free trips into town and picked up when required. Dont stay in rooms off lobby as you'll get no sleep once people are up. Also cleaning staff congregates in the corridor with walkie talkies from 7am so impossible to get sleep after that. Buffet breakfast geared towards asian fare so if youre after a western breakfast forget it. Limited choices available. Staff spoke very little english. Bathrooms had no ventilation at all. No window or fan. Evidence of mould stuck in silicone edging. Wooden framing ratty and rotting. Staff in general very lovely - not their fault stuck working in a place that badly needs a once over.

Comfortable hotel- amazing staff!

I've now stayed at this hotel twice and I've enjoyed both experiences. The hotel is just outside of the hustle and bustle of Pa Tong and up a fairly steep hill - you will find that a lot of drivers do not want to drive up the hill and you may have to walk it - not for the faint hearted! But made the swim in the pool that more enjoyable! The hotel rooms were cleaned for us everyday with new sheets and towels provided. The staff were all amazing! Everyone had a smiley face and always happy to help when we needed. Thank you again to all at Baan Yuree! You made our trip so much more comfortable and enjoyable =]

Good but has some severe issue

Good: Very friendly and polite staffs. Nice view. Concerns: The hotel is good but has some sever drawback. I stayed at room 1507, 4 night 1. The water system is faulty. shower doesn’t release water in enough force to have shower. After complaining they come to room and said this is normal through out the hotel. 2. Wi-Fi has issues too. Had connectivity issue all the time. And even if you have a connection, there is no speed to do your work. 3. The hotel is on the hill. If you go out from hotel, you most likely need to come back on some taxi/tuktuk, coming back on foot is a bit of afford, which makes you think twice if you really want to go out or not.

First miss communication about room with tub . I was told from the manager that every room has tub. But after I called to complaint for the first night stay . They were able to change room for me. Second day we booked an island tour and the pick up time at 7:30 so I thought that we can have our breakfast before we leave since we paid the price of room with breakfast. Hotel breakfast time 6:30 to 10:30. But when we came down at 7:00 bf was not even ready bread wasn't there .. some of it were not done . We didn't get to eat that much . Now when hotel set the time of bf at 6:30 they should have been ready at 6 30 for guest . They need to prepare before 6.30. Right ?

Great staff, pool bar winner!

Bit of a break down when it came to booking a bus to and from the airport but it worked out in the end and part our fault for only given such small notice. Overall great place for a cheap stay, food for breakfast could really do with an upgrade wasn't the most appealing for the price they wanted.

Phuket Trip Number Five

Hotel was okay, nothing really bad, but nothing really outstanding. This was my 5th time to Phuket and I have stayed at a different hotel each time. This hotel was average, quiet and away from the Bangla Street and Jungceylon area. Free breakfast buffet was limited, day by day selection of food was the same. There were ants in the self service tea pot our first morning at the buffet. After informing the staff, problem was not resolved until 3 days later . Hotel is about a 30 minute walk to the Jungceylon shopping mall area. Hotel does offer free shuttle to the Jungceylon shopping mall multiple times a day. There is a "steep" hill to get to this hotel when walking that is about 500 meters.

Needs improvement

Daily breakfasts were too cold. Air Conditioner didn't work properly for 2 nights causing uncomfortable sleeps. Cleaning staff knocked on door while 'Do not disturb' sign was on. A particular staff member was rude. Staff allowed young children making noise and disturbing guests to continue at 4am, caused a lot of frustration with others as well. The main ingredient for the 'Cocktail of the month' was not available. On the other hand, Courtesy bus was great with 2 drop off points. Pool staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make guests happy. Amenities were sufficient. WiFi was good with sufficient coverage and speeds.

Decent hotel, can be better with some fixes

The hotel is quite close to patong beach, the room is quite large and well done. The pools are nice, though a little plain. Overall a decent property but can be better with some attention to the following details: 1. Breakfast is a bit of let down, definite room for improvement. 2. No shower curtain with bath tub, and the leveling of the edges allows water to accumulate and flow down at the sides, making it a wet bathroom. 3. The approach to the hotel, which is on a hill is daunting for walking up/down. A shuttle service up down would be great. 4. The shuttles to patong are a great addition though they didn't adhere to timings always. 5. The wifi is advertised as free, which it is...but works only in lobby, please tell that up front at booking stage.

Everything about the hotel is gud, gud & clean rooms , staff services is gud , hotel surrounding area is gud. Except the location which is located on steep hill and not many tuk tuk want to go there. Hotel shud double up their speed of tuck and if reqd add another for all time connectivity to patong area.

lovely :)

Lovely hotel, friendly enough, had a couple of language barriers but no more than you expect anywhere in Thailand. Room was nice and relatively well cleaned but the bed was pretty hard/springy and uncomfortable, tho I hear now I could have asked for a pillowtop to be put on. The main worry is the steep hill to get up to the hotel. Which is fine if you are fit and well but if you are elderly or unfit and had planned on a leisurely stroll in to Bangalor rd this is probably not your best bet. Mind you they do run a free shuttle 6 or 7 times a day that goes to patong beach and jungceylon shopping centre which are about every hour with a few exceptions which is good. We had no problem with the hill and found it good daily exercise. Overall a good stay, good brekky range and lovely pool!

Baan Yuree, Thailand

The staff at the hotel were very nice, the pool was awesome. The beds in the hotel are the most uncomfortable I have ever had, it was like sleeping on springs, that was all you could feel. Position wise, being at the top of a very steep hill is awkward for older people, it was a very slow walk down and impossible to walk up, a lot of money was spent on taxi's to return each day, especially if you went out for lunch and dinner. I would not recommend this hotel to friends.

Good hotel to tale kids and spend a few great days

The hotel is a good value for money place. While the staff were busy with the X'mas / New Years rush while we were there and thus busier than normal, they seemed pleasant. The hotel has 3 fantastic pools flowing into the other. The drop off to 1 Bangla drive and pick up is a great service offered by the hotel free of charge. The location - up a steep hill, so if you want to walk up, you've got to be very healthy...but situated close to Pating beach and with the shuttling service, it is not necessary to walk up. Great for families as the pool is there and a bit away from the very adult sort of streets of Patong. Everywhere in the east - eggs for breakfast - made in individual frying pans (if you want them not scrambled). A stir fry sort of griddle with thick metal would make them so much better and faster...not unique to Baan Yuri though. I would go there with my family again

never again

well if you have a baby or are wheelchair bound forget about this hotel even tho they have an elevator to the rooms if by any chance you want to go to the pool area with wheels you will need someone to lift the pram or chair as they have stairs everywhere.and no way of getting to any level of the pool. and as for the road/driveway up to the hotel you would have to be training for a marathon to get up it. and the shuttle goes at 4pm then at 6pm no 5pm at peak time so can imagine how squashy it can be at tea time. otherwise you pay $6 down the hill and $6 back up to hotel. food was appalling in restaurant on function night (Elvis) cold cooked meat and cockroach ran out from cake plate. reception was mostly uninterested and if they could help it always cost you. Pool was nice, room was nice, location was horrible.you can do better than this one.

In NO way shape or form is this a RESORT!!!

It was extremely hard to communicate with the hotel staff as most of them didn't speak a word of english, Air con in the room didn't work correctly, 1st room had mold all through out the roof in the bathroom. Ordering room service was a challenge both times i did i had the wrong item arrive and i had to send it back. Then chased for an hour both times to get the correct meal. The deck chairs around the pool were falling apart, the deck chair cushions were ripped and covered in mold. All umbrellas around the pool had holes in them and the staff would never wipe them down or lay them out each morning. The hotel is located up a massive hill which makes walking into town difficult you have to get a tuk tuk or taxi every time. they do have a shuttle bus but it only leaves at certain times a day. Breakfast is very limited with the same food every other day. I was so disappointed considering the amount i paid. I would have been must better off at a cheaper hotel in town as this was definitely not a resort.

Very Nice hotel. But withouth the awesome poolbar it would not have been as good :) Friendly people working there, though as in the rest of Phuket, not very good in english. The hill you have to climb to get up to the hotel can be hard for some, we took it as a nice exercise a couple of times, but usually took the hotel shuttle or a taxi.

Nice hotel Greta pool clean rooms

We spent one night at the hotel before catching a cab for 700 baht to the port. The hotel was clean with a great pool and very well staffed. In the morning there was staff that spoke perfect English. The hotel was up the hill from the main stretch and you would have to take a taxi or a scooter. The hotel is also up a very large hill so make sure your taxi drops you off at the hotel and not off the main road. I reall wish we had more time to enjoy the great pool.

Baan Yuree Resort and Spa Phuket Thailand

I had a lovely 16day stay in this hotel. The weather was wet for the first four days, but once it fined up, it was time for the swimming pool (one of 3), and relaxing around the pool area. I found that the Hotel could do with several more computers available for the guests, that seemed to be a problem with only one computer, some guests were not considerate, and it caused some nastiness about the length of time they used the one and only computer. The lack of hot water was a problem in the begining of my stay, after enquiring with other guests, I found they had the same problem, so by complaining to reception, the problem was fixed. The buffet breakfast was delicious, ample food and a good variety every morning, the chef changed some of the menu to cater for everyone. The girls at reception were very friendly, especially Tara and Nickie. The young boys driving the shuttle into town were very pleasant and helpful. All in all, I would stay in this hotel again and thoroughly recommend it to my friends.

Loved It!

Baan Yuree is lovely. It was exactly what I was looking for. It is tucked up and around the corner from the tourist area making it quiet and more private...but they provide a shuttle to everything you could want to do. The amenities are top notch and there is no need to leave if you don´t want to. I found it a fantastic way to wind down after a South East Asian whirlwind tour.

Baan Yuree patong

Baan Yuree is a lovely resort. The three level pool is beautiful with a swim up bar in the top level. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable with a balcony and nice furnishings, no problems at all. The buffet breakfast kept both my husband and I happy - no small feat as our tastes do vary in foods! It was a perfect mix of Thai and western selections, we had breakfast every day in the hotel. The restaurant is perfectly adequate and also delivers room service which is great if you have had a busy day out and just want a quiet night in, I prefer to eat out when on holidays and soak up the destination, however that is a personal preference and I must admit I did have the room service one night and was happy with the food quality. The facilities are great, the hotel is on top of a rather steep slope, however the resort offers a free shuttle service on the hour to Patong and back to the hotel so it is not an issue, plus there are plenty of tuk-tuks willing to drive you back for not very much at all. My hubby and I did brave walking the hill a few times, I would not recommend that when the sun Is still up as it is hot! But in the evening it is not a hard walk ( a good way to walk off your dinner!). Plus the fact that it is a 10 minute walk from the main Patong area means you are far enough away from the nightlife to sleep unlike many other places! There was also free wifi in the rooms which was just what you would expect, not lightening speed but perfectly adequate. The staff are very friendly however they do not all speak very good English, some are fluent but we did have a few instances where due to language barriers we could not understand each other, but I suppose that to be more my fault traveling to a foreign country and not picking up a few basics in their language to be perfectly honest, and the misunderstandings did not affect our stay dramatically. The only complaint I had was there were a few Mosquitos in the room which lead to bites throughout the night, just bring some repellent or coils and you will be fine. Overall it was a great experience, when I go back to Thailand I will be staying here again.

If you have a car, the location is actually perfect. And driving around phuket is fantastic. Really love the pool bar and actually regret to live there at the first night, but after enjoying the pool side bar, and the surrounding (hill view), it's not a bad hotel to live in. Just that the bathroom is a little smaller compare to Sugar palm

So happy we chose this hotel

It's true that it is a bit far than the beach and the nightlife but that's exactly what we wanted. We wanted a place where we can get away from the noise soon as we got tired of it. They do provide shuttles that go around the beach every 2 hours and towels for the beach. The service was spectacular. Specially the lady at the front desk for the afternoon shift. The only thing I noticed was towards the end, on our last night and on the day of check out, they were not as attentive anymore. Breakfast is served @6.30am but usually this is the time they actually start serving the food for the buffet table. So guests who have early tours can only eat a few slices of bread before heading off. The room and the pool were awesome. The hotel also offered set meals for lunch and dinner. If I come back to Patong I will definitely come back to this hotel.
